[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Conversation

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_06]: On our podcast called growing up geeky

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_06]: So what is something that you geeked out on as a kid and it doesn't have to be sci-fi

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I loved Charlie's Angels. I love the bionic man. I'm gonna age myself here

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_06]: What's that? I love those shows too. Yeah

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I love three companies. Oh, like if it was after school, I would come home and me and my friend would watch get smart

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes with the shoe right? Yeah

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, that's awesome cuz I I grew up on some of those stuff too like the six million dollar man and something that

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Steve Austin yes, we can rebuild him so bigger faster. How did you get into?

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Acting was it modeling was at the entrance like

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well acting for me like I was always working as a child though

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean we had we had kind of a my brother and I had to work from a very young age

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_01]: So my girlfriends had told me one time, you know

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: You work four o'clock in the morning your first class at 10 and why aren't you doing like bikini contests on the weekend?

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I was like why is there any money in it?

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, yeah, so I think my first couple bikini contests were I got there on a bus

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So I wasn't even driving started doing bikini contests

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Me too, oh just kidding. Sorry

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I think the first one I did was only because my parents were robbed

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_01]: They were gonna go to Hawaii and they had an Olympus OM to camera and they had two tickets to go to Hawaii

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And that was the days where when you bought a ticket you were holding that physical ticket

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they were all lined up in their room. Well, we got robbed one day

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: My girlfriend goes I bet if you do a couple of contest you could pay it, you know get that money back

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So I did

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: They went to Hawaii and after that someone said well you should get into commercials or acting and I'm like I would love to I just

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't know how and one time there was a casting person being a judge in one of these

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_06]: That's pretty cool, that's what I'm gonna swing this microphone just a little bit just so we can pick you up

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Sorry

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_06]: See over it so bikini contest so wait, did you get to Hawaii or did your parents get to Hawaii?

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: My parents got to Hawaii. Did you get to go to Hawaii? Did you get to go?

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Just like you know her parents went but she they left me at home

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they didn't we weren't part of the equation my parents met when they were 12

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_01]: They got married in 12th grade and they had not ever taken a vacation

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_01]: My mom had her first baby 18 second baby me at 21

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a very tough thing for two children raising children

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't even imagine it now because that's just what everybody did in those days

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_01]: My parents are only 20 years older than me. And I mean there were times we'd go out

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_01]: We were my mom and I were sis there was no doubt but that's cool though

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I'm uh, I had kids when I was 40 and I wish I was younger cuz it is hard to keep up with

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Kids. Yeah

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_06]: About it

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_01]: My last child at 42 and people are like, oh maybe you're going through menopause

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I go probably pregnant pregnant like who thought this would happen these two lines

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my vacation going. Are you kidding me? I guess I'm done having those daiquiri's had no idea. I had an IUD

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_01]: That's really personal, but it's true

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Interesting. All right

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_06]: So how do you so getting into acting the the gateway was bikini contests and modeling

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So it kind of goes over and you get an agent and they say okay, okay

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to do modeling? I'm like, I'm pretty good at sports where I'm very athletic

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_01]: so I got into physical stuff like that and it just kept getting better and better and I

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't know. I just I shot with someone it cost me

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: $350 for a zed card

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_01]: It was basically a black and white and a body shot face shot body shot thinnest thing you can do

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So we used to submit these and you'd get either hired for an audition or not

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean I I literally grew up with the Thomas guide so we would be getting all my additions

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I call every morning go what do I have? My first agent was Judith Fontaine and she said, okay

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_01]: This is the list and I'd write it all down and then you'd get on this Thomas guide now

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_01]: You just tell your phone where to take you but you have these little points and you go

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so you put up all your auditions in little pen and then you'd be like, okay

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_01]: This is how I'm gonna do them and the times it's crazy

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Not to mention I was changing my clothes at stoplights because you had to get to the next

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_06]: The total Hollywood story running around town

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks all glamorous

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: But you put so much time in to a lot of nose

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_01]: You hit a lot of doors that slam in front of you and you just keep doing more and more until the odds get

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_01]: better and better and you become your best cheerleader and the biggest person that keeps you driving and going

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Because if you go out for ten and you get one well, that was worth it

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's a good point. Like you I've heard a couple other people say where you have to get used to

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Rejection it's nothing personal. It's just it's the business

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So they really do know in casting what they want and I'm gonna segue over to another story about me

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_01]: That's why we're here is to hear about you. I was on home improvement the first year

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I came in as he keep on first a wall and shine lock

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: This is when Tim told his wife he could go a whole night without looking at other women

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I'm in the restaurant and I see him because she goes to the bathroom. I come over

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I sit in her chair. I asked her for I asked him for an autograph

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, she comes back he's trying to catch up and like I wasn't looking at her

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: He never looked at me and all of a sudden he starts choking

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_01]: So the show gets to be like this dramatic thing whatever I worked with them for a week

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I had amazing time, you know every day going through no going to blocking being with all these people and then I left

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen the show ahead of time. I only saw my show when it aired because that's what you do

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You just go okay

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna tape that with your VHS

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And get that and use it for a demo reel. Well, it was a year and a half later

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I looked at the breakdown and it said

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Looking for a Debbie Dunning type but not Debbie Dunning and I do Debbie Dunning really well. I didn't know

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_01]: So I was like what's this and they're like, oh they don't want you

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: They just want someone like you like what's it for and they're like tool time girl

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Well when I was on the show I was on for one week. I didn't ever watch the show

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know there was a time girl. I didn't know anything about it. So they're like, okay

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_01]: They want they want they don't want you

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay couple weeks later after I saw the breakdown. They said they want to see you

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess somebody in the meeting said we keep comparing everybody to her. Let's just bring her back in

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Fortunately for me, right?

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's where it kind of goes back together when you know you want something

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing else that's gonna fit that slot. You have to get what you're looking for

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's why you can't take it too personal auditioning. It's just it's not worth it

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so I came back in for the audition. I messed up

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_01]: They said we wanted you how you were so I came in in a really gorgeous

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You know bustier dress real sexy everybody else was in shorts and a t-shirt like this all natural and I'm like paid

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Entertainment I'm like what is this? They're like no they wanted you how you were they didn't mean my character

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_01]: They meant me normally on an everyday basis

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So I said Janelle done. I'm like can I just go can I go back through this again tomorrow?

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like we don't have time for you. I came back tomorrow

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Talked my way through the gate. They're like your name's not on here Debbie. I'm like it is I've got the call

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, well, we remember you from yesterday. Go ahead. That doesn't happen anymore

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But it happened that day and so it was in my car

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I walked back in she looked up and she was just like she's like

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we're gonna have time to fit you in I said well

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Then they'll see me sitting here when they leave the room. So she went in and told them. Thank you

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I went in next then I came out

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: She went in because she had to go in after everybody's to see if they should stick around or what she came

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Back out and told the room they could go audition was over

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: She said sit tight little missy and I thought I was getting one more week on home improvement

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was gonna work to seven more days. I went down to wardrobe and she kept trying me

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I said to her I remember this like it was yesterday. I go I think I'm only in one scene

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_01]: She goes no, you're gonna be here for a while didn't really know what it meant

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So I did what I do best

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I went to Santa Monica with all this extra excited energy and I went roller skating and I was in my mind going

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_01]: This could be my big break. This could be it. What does she mean by that? And that was my big break

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_06]: You're like on the biggest show on TV

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And the show that you can watch with your kids that you didn't have to worry about we always had a good story

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I was really lucky. I was really blessed and I remember that episode. I didn't realize that was you that when Kiki shows up

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I remember that episode. That's probably one of the ones I remember the most

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_05]: And and the fact that now I'm putting two and two together like who was her

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, do you remember the show that I did with Tim where I had to host tool time because Richard

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean Al couldn't make it remember the twitch guys remember that one

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Interesting. I didn't even know you're on the side profile. He didn't get what it was

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_01]: What was some of your favorite shows out there?

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't really your favorite show

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, I mean I just recently watched the entire series again because my wife wanted to watch like the whole thing

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_05]: So we just like went and watched the whole series. So that's on my agenda too. I want to do the same thing

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was with Richard Tarn at a at an appearance a few weeks ago

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And he said have you watched the show lately? I'm like no like you really got to watch it again

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: There's so many things you forget. It's like child childbirth

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Alisa I don't have a favorite episode, but I remember it came you hold it closer

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember it came on at bedtime when I was a kid and my sister would scream and picture fit

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd be like just shut up and sit silently in the back and mom and dad won't care

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_02]: And so we get to stay up late and sit in the back of the living room every commercial break

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_02]: They'd be like go to bed and be like, okay

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Just so we could watch home improvement where you're not allowed to watch it. No, it was just past bedtime

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I used to do that

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember going to bed acting like you're asleep and then crawling down and sitting at the doorway watching TV

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_01]: There was only one TV in our household. Yep. It was the kind that you took the antennas and you're like don't move

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna date myself. I had a turned aisle TV and I would watch USA at the end of the night. So

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_06]: So what are some fun memories of being on set doing the show

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Kind of just being in that environment

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_01]: There was always fun moment. There's always things I used to say

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_01]: It's really good that we're really good friends because there's so many like

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_01]: inappropriate jokes that we are not allowed to say but we were out allowed to be part of which to me that's a family, you know

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_01]: You've got your family things that you say

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_01]: It's it's tough when you go to work, you know for six seven years and you literally

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_01]: See somebody more than you do your family and then one day it's off it's cut off

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy. I'm not gonna see these people next week or never again in the same type of situation

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_01]: We cry together every Wednesday we would have a make-a-wish child come in and that was hard and it was amazing

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_01]: But it was really hard to go through that as a family because you always lose somebody once a week

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_01]: You'd meet the child and then you know the inevitable

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of things that you go through in a work family like a Hollywood family

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever you want to call it that you kind of go through with your real fam

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's hard when you it's hard when the plug gets pulled on that one. Crazy. Okay, you kind of touched on it

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_06]: But like Hollywood life, what is it like back then being in Hollywood?

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Biggest biggest show on TV. What is it like living that life back then? You know, it was great

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I got married at the right time. I had kids at the right time

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_01]: This is like a place where you know people would pay you to wear that dress and I mean it was it was incredible for me

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I've never taken it for granted. It's it's been amazing

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think I had four or five baby showers when I got married

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to leave anybody out and my ex-husband at the time

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_01]: He owned this company called Red Sand and I was it with home improvement

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_01]: So we got married on Mother's Day and we didn't know where to get married and we had all this money being thrown

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_01]: At us from entertainment tonight and the cake and think Pucci my dress and I was like

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where to get married and my husband's best friend at the same at the time

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So why don't you guys just do it in your backyard that we did have the reception our backyard and we ran out of

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: wristbands at

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: 650 people

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Because the invitation read because I had my daughter first the invitation read Steve and Debbie sitting in a tree

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I SS ing first comes love then comes marriage and it was a fold-out little thing that I sketched

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_01]: First comes love then compared then comes Spencer in a baby carriage and then it said at the bottom

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Oops pages four and five reversed because she was first and then on the back

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It said my mommy and daddy are getting married on Mother's Day

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_01]: We don't want to take you away from your mom or your family. So let us know how many you're bringing

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So I had I had everybody in their families there and it was great one of the greatest days

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_06]: That's not 600 people. No, there was 650 when we ran out of wristband

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: My backyard in San Diego, that's awesome

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_06]: So can we talk about some of your other roles like can we talk about you know?

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_01]: You feel free to share any story they watch this is a good time for this because I'm doing a new demo reel

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_01]: For the last six years

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I've hosted a show called Debbie Dunning's dude ranch roundup

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And when my boss and I decided to part in January, I knew I had to figure out my next chapter

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So I have been going through old footage of still talking married with children and the misery brothers and leprechaun and wicked wicked games

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm looking through all this stuff like I forgot I did this but I'm going through these things

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Looking at myself trying to put little clips together

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean I'll talk about any of those shows married with children was very equal to the home improvement experience

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Those people were like family as well. I just had the best time

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_06]: But if anybody has questions about that time and talk about another like hit show, you know on top of the world

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_06]: You're part of two of the most iconic shows out there. I mean she was in who's the boss to that name

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was on this show called Charlie Hoover. I was on who's the boss

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Show oh

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Boy meets world boy meets world. Yeah, I've done a few funny little things. One of the funniest things that's happened to me

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I had my son stony and I was breastfeeding and I lived in San Diego and they said we just need you for literally

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_01]: 1520 minutes and I was like trying to weigh it out and I was like, okay

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I could probably not take my child go do this thing for it's a show called now

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You know like a little movie so I have this one scene where I'm in a bathing suit after my second child

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm still still breastfeeding. I'm like, oh I can drive down there. I'll get that done and come back

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that thing went eight hours and I didn't bring my pump

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It was the most painful thing I've ever done but that is an amazing

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_06]: 20 years later 20 years later, you know, it was funny. We were going like 20 minutes now and I just realized you're wearing a tool belt

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_06]: She's wearing the whole thing. Did you see your hat?

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_01]: She's wearing a bin for tools hat. Did you know that's impressive. I appreciate I do it because this is what they want to see

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_06]: for the fans

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I did a Hollywood show with my daughter recently and she wore it and I walked away from my table and she was there and people

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Really thought that was me like I hadn't aged a bit. That was me. She took pictures. We charged them

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_06]: She's out signing everything. She actually was we didn't tell him but they still wanted the picture. That's awesome. That's awesome

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Sorry, I totally lost where I was

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Has there been because I mean we're in this whole weird time in

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_06]: TV shows were like everything is kind of a reboot or a continuation

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Is there anything you can share with us? Has there been any talks about a continuation?

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_01]: In any type of situation like this

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of if you like wind dancer and Disney when we parted they have never seen eye to eye about getting the show back

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Together, I think if that ever happens then we were all on board

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_01]: The only person who has passed away was Wilson Earl Heimann

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So they'd have to find a look-alike for just this area, right?

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_05]: You're just gonna CG Wilson

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's gonna happen. I know Tim and Rick Tim and Al have been putting a couple ideas together for the history channel

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: They had more power and another show. So, I don't know

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we're gonna all three get back together. They actually had another girl on there

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Not me. All right. All right. So let's go back to the whole acting thing. What would be a dream role or a dream?

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_06]: franchise to be a part of

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Like you just kind of think you know, it would be fun to act in this franchise kind of thing

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I would love to tell my story. I would love to finish writing this book

[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_01]: I've started tell my story and actually not only like produce it pass it but be in it in the end

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be an ideal job for me because I do have a kind of a crazy story

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not always what it looked like but from my crazy story of you know

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_01]: bipolar father and parents that were teenage wed and you know kids raising kids

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I've become the person I have I've become confident extremely positive and I think that that would be a that would be a great way to

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Kind of tell your story but the same time be a little more hands-on

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But I already did have a really good job hosting Debbie Dunnings dude ranch roundup. I went from branch to ranch

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I was here in Boise, Idaho

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_01]: No, actually I was in Sandpoint and I shot best Western dude ranch and in the past six years

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I've shot 50 dude ranches and I basically take you across the US and showcase the most amazing

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Vacation you can give to your family and I did every single thing I broke my back in 2019

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_01]: But it wasn't because I was doing something strenuous a silly little thing and I landed on a rock. Oh my gosh

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_06]: How scary badass I felt roller skating. I thought I broke my tailbone. I can't imagine breaking my back

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I was

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Roller skating's dangerous people don't realize yeah

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_01]: When you're at my age, it's really dangerous

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_05]: So what would be the worst movie sequel ever made aside from like more leprechaun movies

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_05]: But I mean like whoa. Hey leprechaun movie. I've ever made when I met that you've made but what would be the worst sequel?

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a movie about the worst one. I've ever made anyway

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_01]: It was called the misery brothers and I didn't really read the script

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I just read my part like people so when the movie came out

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I got limos from my grandparents on both sides my mom and dad my girlfriend

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_01]: We all got in limos that we drove to Hollywood it was a movie. I had a pretty funny part in it

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_01]: My name was I'm a barrister. I was a lawyer looked at Jessica rabbit

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But that was kind of embarrassed my grandmother was the only one that was really honest

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody was like hard to watch but my grandmother said, you know anything else about that movie? I'm like I did it

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I did it like usual. I was just looking at my part. Oh man terrible

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Would be the worst movie well listen I've been I've been killed in spiral staircase. I've been killed in wicked wicked games

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been killed in leprechaun for I had a really bad-ass fight scene in tales from the crib

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know. I mean I I love that and I love all variation of different roles

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I love the fact that you don't have to look perfect anymore

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You can just be and that is a big weight on we are aging we are getting older

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But there's rules for all of us takes takes a little pressure off it. Oh heck. Yeah

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_05]: What would be or who would be the who would you most like to sit next to on a 10-hour flight?

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_05]: So with this question, it's anybody anybody like living dead still ball Lucille ball

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_05]: So already know not so not just that but a Lucille ball

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Why Lucille ball because I thought she was one of the funniest people ever like my comedy is like I learned from a young

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Age make funny yourself people love that you're normal. You're human be authentic and she was always the best right?

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I wish I could have had and I would agree with that. She was a legend and on top of that

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: She was a business woman, you know, she had her own production company. But what is it Lucy Dez or something? Yeah

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's like she pioneered a lot of stuff

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Like if it wasn't for Lucille ball, like the modern movie industry wouldn't be what it is

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So I mean like the first person who pioneered a woman being outspoken and funny and making fun of herself

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And hiding her hiding her mistakes, but yet she made it so physically funny physical comedy is just hard to do right?

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_06]: That's actually really good answer. Hey, does anybody have questions if you have questions?

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Come on up. We have a microphone and all that but we can keep

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_01]: This microphone and you can yell. That's fine. It's really hard to hear. Yeah, take some sure

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, sure. Can we take a couple of questions from the live go ahead and just ask it. All right

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Caravanatter wants to know if you wrote a comic book did I write a comic book?

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_00]: No, but I sure would like to be a model for one. Okay, and then someone else

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Asked a question up here if I can find it. There's been a lot of my brand new assistant

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_00]: If I find it all come back up there's so many anybody has a question in the meantime

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there's anybody that has any questions anything

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Career wise I mean who loves home improvement who has something that they just want to just say doesn't even have to be a question

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Is anybody watching it on Hulu now for the first time but you're watching it on Hulu. That's great

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_01]: We're about to be on Disney Plus if we haven't already I think we are it said the UK

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_05]: So I think that's a start. I've already watched it twice on Hulu

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's what I was telling you earlier like yeah, I just finished watching it again

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_05]: My wife has this whole thing called night night shows and it's the shows that we watch when we go to sleep, right?

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Home improvement was that for a while and for her it's what she goes to sleep to for me

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I can't go to sleep because I have to watch it. So I

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Watched home improvement twice in the last like three months

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and and like one of the things I noticed is like when the theme song changes over the seasons

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like slight differences. Yeah

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have on my social media

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I have the official the tick-tock Debbie Dunning and I also have Instagram Debbie Dunning and I'm trying to post all the time

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Just to keep my audience informed of where I'll be and all of all the new shows

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's really exciting for us after all this time that we're getting this new of energy

[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_01]: So happy about that very nice you guys. I mean anybody have any other questions. I'm here for it

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Anybody else from Instagram and you're signing autographs in the next building, right? Okay

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's kind of like almost behind us, right? Right? So I gotta ask you this

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_05]: What are you nerding out on right now now nerding? We when we say nerding

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't mean like nerd stuff

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_05]: We mean like what is something that you're passionate about that you just kind of nerd out on I guess

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess it would be cooking and roller skating these two things

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been doing so much more since January that I have like in a concentrated small period of time because when I was doing

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: My show I was always on the road traveling. So anytime now I'm looking at new recipes and I'm putting them out there

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I just went through a cabbage soup that I thought this girl

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_01]: On dick-talk and my daughter brought it to my attention and I'm like I got to do that

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Ten pounds on this cabbage. Oh, wow

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I was excited because I'm Ukrainian and it kind of tastes like borscht without the beats

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_01]: My dad is in a situation right now where he can't chew and so I took that same soup that I was munching through

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_01]: These big chunks of cabbage I put it through the food processor and now he can drink it through a straw

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_01]: He said it's the best you ever had

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_05]: So I gotta ask you a hard-hitting Southern California question right now. Okay

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_01]: What is your favorite kind of taco what's my favorite kind of taco or taco spot

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_01]: If I'm gonna be totally honest, it's the taco. I got in Baja

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I we have a ranch down there 45 minutes southeast of La Paz and there's like this little setup guy comes every night

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And he sets up a table with radishes

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_01]: He makes it right there they're making the patties they're putting the carne asada

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_01]: A couple different ways, but it's that's my favorite taco that sounds amazing

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_05]: My body is ready. All right

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we do have really we are blessed with really good Mexican food down there and I didn't realize that it was you know

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I take it for granted but every time someone's are like I got to get my Mexican food

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_05]: What's some advice that you would give people trying to get into the industry the industry's changed so much though for me

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that now it's socially driven. You've got to be on it every single day on your social media

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_01]: You've got to believe in yourself

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't let a couple knows hold you back if you believe in something keep going

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_01]: You're the only one going to convince everybody else to believe in you. So power up really back yourself hundred percent. That's good

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_05]: All right. Thank you. So, uh again another hard-hitting question right here, right?

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_05]: You're gonna be the hardest question we ask you all day tool time Heidi versus tool time Lisa who wins

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Whoever there it's not about winning. Fortunately, I wasn't put in as another blonde girl to go

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we're just gonna you know punch in this she looks just like her

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_01]: She had her strengths and I have my strength she left because she got offered Baywatch

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_01]: She went at 6 in the morning and had to jump in the water

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I was in my nice hose walking down to tool time right behind tool time was craft service was eating

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think I win because I mean I made it wait

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_05]: When I think of home improvement and I think of the home that the tool time girl I think Heidi

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think about anybody else. So also because I'm right here now. She was here. What would you say?

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I would still think Heidi

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_05]: It's also because you had way more episodes

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Season versus well, I think everybody's got a type and like I always say I'm not for everybody

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_01]: But for the people I am thank you for being fans. Thank you for following me on Instagram and think it's been an amazing ride
