[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_02]: He's been in.

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And so many other things.

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I know James wanted me to read all of that and I'm like, I can't get all the accolades, it's too much.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_02]: He is coming all the way from London to meet all of you wonderful people here in Idaho.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_02]: So give them a warm Idahoan welcome.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Please welcome Clem So, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome, welcome.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_05]: How's it going, Clem?

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Good, great.

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_05]: So nice to be here.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Awesome.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I just have to say, I really love your shoes.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, you like my shoes?

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I think they're fantastic.

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, that's so dope.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_06]: You guys can't see them but they're amazing.

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Just Murica.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_02]: That's all you guys gotta know, just Murica.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_02]: So before we get into everything here, we like to ask some intro questions to kind of

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_02]: get to know you a little bit, right?

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_02]: We have a segment on our show called Growing Up Geeky.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Hmm.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_02]: What's something that you used to geek out on when you were a kid?

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_05]: God, everything.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm a huge fan of, I mean, I'm child of the 1960s, 70s.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_05]: So things like Batman, that was awesome.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I loved Jerry Anderson's Thunderbirds.

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if you guys had that here.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Thunderbirds, was that the Marionette show or?

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Thunderbirds.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_05]: And obviously in the 70s, Star Wars, I loved watching Star Wars.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I was a huge fan of Doctor Who when I was a kid.

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I loved Tom Baker.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, and Marvel could be so hard, could I forget that?

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, in the 70s, I loved reading all the early.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_05]: At least we had the reprints in the 70s.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_05]: So I loved reading all the early Marvel comic stories with Jack Kirby.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Steve Ditko.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_05]: All that wonderful art.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, no, I was blessed to have those, yeah.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Have you met Colin yet?

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Colin Baker.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Colin Baker?

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh God, yeah.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I've done a lot of conventions with Colin.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, I have met him.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And Sylvester McCoy as well, who also does a lot of conventions.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Nice.

[00:03:31] Yeah.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: That's awesome, man.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_02]: So how did you get into acting?

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Did you go to acting school?

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Were you always wanted to be an actor?

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so all the stuff that I do is background acting.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's not like you need to know acting.

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, action acting, right.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_05]: But I mean, I did a bit of improv acting lessons with David Yip.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if you've ever heard of David.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_05]: David did Indiana Jones.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I am aware of David Yip.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And he did this thing called the Chinese Detective.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, David.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm familiar with David.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_05]: So, but yeah, there was no, you know, I mean, you have to learn by experience.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, most of the time.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Nice.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you always want to be an actor or were you?

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, as I say, it's not, I mean, my background is actually as a fine artist.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_05]: That was what I was trained in.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_05]: But, yeah, no, I just fell into it.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, it was just one of those things.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_05]: But my brother was also the background act.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_05]: He played Mr. Fikutu in Casino Royale.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, nice.

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Wow.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_05]: So family Bond history there, you know, Bond buffs.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, he was just really encouraging.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_05]: He said, you know, because at the time I was putting up shows for galleries and stuff,

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_05]: and I needed some quick cash.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_05]: And he said, you know, why didn't you join this agency and see if we can get some movies?

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_05]: You've got a good look like me.

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_05]: You've got similar.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, I think one of the first films I worked on was Keanu Reeves 47 Runnin'.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_02]: 47 Runnin'.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Hiroyuki Sonata as well.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Hiroyuki Sonata is like one of my favorite people right now.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm so pleased he's getting the credit.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Have you seen Shogun yet?

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It's so good.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so good.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so good.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_05]: It is amazing.

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_05]: It's beautiful shot as well.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely is.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and the gorgeous.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_05]: The costumes and everything.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh man.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And then from what I understand, it's more like old world Japanese.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: So like, just the, the, everything about it is just beautiful.

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I did see a documentary where, well, it was behind the scenes with, uh,

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_05]: uh, very Yuki and he was, he's so precise because he's a, he's a producer on it.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_05]: He's so precise about the detail and he was just like that on 47 Runnin'.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, they asked for it.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Cole Rinch who was the director asked, you know, for his opinion on, on sort of things

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_05]: that, you know, the way of the sword and the Japanese and the samurai.

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_05]: And how they would do things.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And so they, they were really trying to pay attention to the details.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Which you, you would for somebody who is like descended from samurai.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, like, yeah.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_06]: So back to you.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Um, so what was it like, like, how is it different to prepare for different roles?

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, do you go through a different process for each role or?

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_05]: It just really depends what, what's, what the scene involves, you know, uh, like, uh,

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: so like with Doctor Who, some of the creature stuff you need to do a bit of choreography.

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, you know, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there,

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_05]: there's a lot of people who used to do a lot of the devil, all the sideman walks and everything.

[00:06:38] Mm-hmm .

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_05]: You have to do, you know, just have a bit of, uh, you know, walk through the scene.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_05]: You'll, you'll have your, your, uh, the script for the day, the sides.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_05]: and we just go through that and just so that we're all consistent with whatever our creature was so

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_05]: i played the clockwork droid and deep breath and the space zombie in oxygen so they're very different

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_05]: sort of physicality uh to it and you just really have to be you know really to make it believable

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_05]: you you do need to everybody needs to do the same thing that that's amazing and i love dr who so

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_06]: oh okay you're talking my language now so um speaking of dr who we're here so you were on

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_05]: it for five years yeah i did did 11 11 different episodes with uh three different doctors so um

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_05]: wow so i mean the last one i worked on was legends of sea devil with jody oh wow that's great yeah yeah

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: and so i did a couple with matt smith as well upon life was great because that was just me and him

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: in that scene yeah so well of that part of the scene that i worked on so that was also because i i didn't

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: even know that was going to happen they just put me in a trail and put me in my costume brought me on

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_05]: set and it was like this year and i thought where is it and then and then matt smith comes in oh my god

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_05]: it's just me and matt smith so i was really like oh well i'm sitting in front of the doctor

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_05]: yes and then i thought god this doctor's really young isn't he did he did he write your prescription

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_05]: or anything well you guys well in that scene he was supposed to be cooking me pasta because that was

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_05]: the senior i suppose it was a kind of nod to marco polo saying he invented pasta oh yeah so he was

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_05]: saying i think i've actually accidentally invented pasta but the prop guy actually who made the pasta

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_05]: was awful it was like cold and stodgy and he he didn't cook enough of it and the director was

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_05]: saying to me to eat with gusto and i was saying well if i eat too much in this and you don't get it

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_02]: it's not going to be no pasta right it's like which one do you want me to do you know or that

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_05]: just gives them in the excuse to make fresh pasta wow time is money in that world right

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_06]: so uh if you were if you were offered the role of doctor who would you would you accept here he

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_06]: already said yes look at that he wouldn't accept that role yeah do you think you could have like

[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_06]: a catchphrase or something that would go with it yeah eat more pasta eat more pasta

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_02]: that's not bad i mean right um now you've been in a couple of marvel movies too right uh what works

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_02]: i was gonna say what were your experiences with like doctor strange guardians of the galaxy kind of

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_02]: the different things that you've done because you've you've ranged from like creature work to

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_05]: uh to to action work and things like that right sure so uh yeah i mean i say a lot

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_05]: of the scenes are background scenes so if it's in guardians of the galaxy there was a lot of action

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_05]: involved because it was a prison and it was a kiln the kiln prison where the guardians are first introduced

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_05]: in the movie um and then a lot of things that we were doing were running away from bullets because

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_05]: basically in the scene uh rocket goes on the group's shoulder and then he randomly shoots at everybody

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_05]: basically right right right and they they really wanted a lot of footage of people panicking

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_05]: and running away from bullets and they use these uh some bullets which i think are those scripts

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_05]: so basically if they hit the wall they spark they look great yeah but if they hit you

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah so uh you know we didn't we didn't have any motivation about running scared from

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_05]: rocket like shooting we were like please don't hit me with that i don't want to get hit with the

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_05]: swings no i don't quite a few people bruised legs i think oh my goodness so and then doctor strange uh

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_05]: uh you know i should talk about the geeking out because um guardians of galaxies was the first marvel

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_05]: movie i worked on and uh you know you really have to contain that geekness because yeah you know

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_05]: you're there to work and they're paying you to work and it's a job and uh you know and i was talking to

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_05]: a friend and he was like said do you remember when we used to buy comics you know and save or pour our

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_05]: pocket running now marvel's paying us back you know and it's all that's really weird sorry i didn't mean

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_05]: that i wanted you to keep going on yeah so now mom was paying us back so yeah you know and

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_05]: there was so many sort of easter eggs that we were seeing and we had to keep keep our mouths shut

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_02]: there's got to be like some level of excitement when like because i don't know to what extent you

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_02]: know what's happening in the scene especially when there's like green screen and uh when characters

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_02]: are being cg put in there and whatnot but like if you know like oh yeah no gruten rocket are shooting

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_02]: everybody like gruten rocket as a man right you know like i'm in a scene with gruten rocket yeah

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_05]: well i think when we filmed when we filmed uh guardians uh they were unknown characters mostly i

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05]: i knew the guardians galaxy like the old 1968 right 68 the old guys you know yeah some so some more um

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_02]: um actually from guardians 2 starhawk yeah like star wolf and uh and yeah the older guy i didn't know

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_05]: these characters so it wasn't like a and you know groups i mean it's household name now yeah i mean it's

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_05]: crazy to think about it he's done wonders for the tree but there was always just to go back there was

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_05]: always a somebody there to represent the movement of rocket yeah so you were never lost and you know group

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_05]: because he was so tall there's a guy that would hold up a stick with a head yeah so you'd get the eye

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_05]: line so and he looked look beautiful and everybody you know everybody's body language was off roots this

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_05]: very tall man um and it worked really well and yeah you wouldn't doxer strange yeah that was

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_05]: now that was a hero that i knew you know that in from the comic books as i explained you know steve dicko

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_05]: right right right right doctor strange and there he was you know coming back as doctor strange it was

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_05]: like oh my god he's doctor strange he's right there in the room it was just it is very surreal

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_05]: to think about it and he really looks hard so he does yeah yeah so and then in um well i worked on

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_05]: multiverse of madness we we got to be shield bearers so we got to do a bit of the magic stuff with the

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_05]: shield okay okay so we were defending the the temple against wonder um so i mean just to be able to

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_05]: say you know i'm doing magic yeah that's like you know come on it's like you could be in a comic con

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_05]: you know right yeah yeah and he put them in any other special effects and there you are you're doing

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_05]: the magic so um that that was a amazing awesome sort of see that you know all that come together in

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_06]: post-production yeah it was such a well put together scene too yeah i loved it it was so

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_05]: they were they literally did it shot for shot um on the previous they showed us the previous and it

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_05]: it was literally shot for shot what what they wanted to film that's good that's good when you

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_06]: can do something like that you can trust a director like that so that i mean that's amazing so uh so

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_06]: filming on big budget films we've gone from practical effects to cgi back to practical

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_06]: it's combination yeah like what is it like filming like green screens working with pavots like how is

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_05]: that different like okay so um most of the big budget movies i worked on they have practical sets

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_05]: so you know even on saw what saw was the force waking they kept a lot of the cgi to minimum

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_05]: they really wanted to have that real worldly feel like like you know episode four you know so there's a

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_05]: lot puppeteering and a lot props but the one film that i worked on that was all green screen was uh

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_05]: zack snyder's justice league where the the army of men attack um dark side okay yeah and it was

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_05]: so we walked in a room and it was just green it was like weird and explaining the scene and where the

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_05]: spaceships are and we're in our scene we shared it with uh zeus and um it was all in that scene i know

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_06]: hippolyta was in the scene zeus was in the scene was aries in that scene there was aries in the scene so yeah

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_05]: here is as well so and they said they were 10 foot tall yeah yeah so they the actors who play them

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_05]: filmed their scene first and obviously they were going to stitch all together so you know when we

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_05]: first few um takes that we did he said cut and then i get i get told off and he said didn't you see

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_05]: that god he walked past right past you i said and i'm looking at all i can see is green it's like there's

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_05]: nothing there it's like you know and even in you see it close up in the scene he's got a huge axe and

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_05]: just literally misses my head it's weird i mean you can see why zack's upset about it like he's

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_02]: literally just walked by you he almost killed you just right now he's like where what where is this

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_05]: i've got no reference man how am i supposed to know where the juice is i know so it is really i found it

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_05]: really hard just a green screen and the way he filled it out was amazing by the way but i mean

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_05]: it was just so bizarre to kind of like and they don't really give you that much information and sometimes

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_05]: on these films they just want to contain how much information because they don't want any leaks

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_05]: about plots right right top secret stuff so they try to keep it to a minimum um just to keep it secret

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_02]: yeah that's kind of like earlier when i asked like uh you know when you're on a scene and you know what

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_02]: character's there because i know you don't always know what character is going to be in the scene

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_02]: it's just hey we need this reaction we need you to do this this is what's going on then when you go

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_02]: watch the movie later then you're like oh man i was in a scene with you know with dark side you know

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_02]: something like that right um so yeah i mean that's that's that's kind of like when you do know what

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_02]: characters in the scene with you it's like you know i'm gonna be a scene in a scene with this

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_02]: character like you know that you you have to geek out even more when you know you're gonna see

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_05]: with dr strange oh my god it's crazy yeah right um but you have to keep that inner geek in you

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_05]: can't you know you're there to work because you gotta be professional right it's like it's like

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_05]: i mean i'll tell you one of the geekiest thing as it did was on legends of sea devil

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_05]: um the scene we had they built a whole pirate ship um in in the film lot next door so they basically

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_05]: said this is your green room this is where we wait to to be brought on set and they brought us into the

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_05]: tardis oh my god so we were in jody's tardis and they said wait here why i mean i was like that's cool

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_05]: and then he just to make just it was almost like they were teasing us just to make it even more geeky

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_05]: they turned on all the lights of the tardis and then they said don't take any photos

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_05]: everyone's gone right okay getting everybody's getting their selfies and in their photos come on

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_06]: you know you're in the tardis it's like speaking of not being able to talk about things uh what were

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_06]: the ndas like on like james bond dr who like all the big ips that you've been in the nda

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah like non-disclosure agreements yeah i mean they're just like yeah you just have to be

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_05]: absolutely professional and just don't i don't talk to anybody even when i'm talking to my partner i

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_05]: say please just don't say i feel your pain it's really hard can i tell you i'll tell you a story

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_05]: because on the force awakens right um and maybe they were just making an example of the poor guy

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_05]: basically on on on one of the early days on the set um they said that uh one of the guys who was

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_05]: working with he was i guess he was one of the resistance um and he told his girlfriend and his

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_05]: girlfriend tweeted because she was so proud of him yeah and she tweeted my boyfriend's on star wars

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_02]: he was sacked yeah stay because especially for star wars where they put everything i don't know if

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_02]: they were ever together yeah but i mean like because star wars they're really big about like

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_02]: project names and you know it's star wars and uh they're really known for like you know most people

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_02]: don't even know they're in star wars until the day they are on set so it's like you know yeah they're

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_05]: so secretive with stuff i can see you know yeah even the character when they said uh we were gonna cost

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_05]: you fit you the resistance they said we're pirates and we all knew the code name was avco which was

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_05]: we knew it was force awake but when he said oh you're gonna be pirates we were thrown because we thought

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_05]: maybe it isn't star wars yeah so yeah you're right yeah yeah i know mandalorian was like famous for

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_02]: that where they just did not tell anybody half the people like like would film their scenes and still

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_06]: not know they were in star wars right yeah that's true yeah they're so like they've been doing it for

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_06]: so long yeah like you know it's it's like layer upon layer yeah blue harvest things so blue harvest for

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_06]: the win right right blue uh so i actually have a question because i'm a huge discovery of witches fan

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_06]: yeah so and you were in the library scenes in in that like the big library scenes how was that to film

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_06]: that because like they had this whole like almost magic dome around everyone and you couldn't really

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_05]: react to it so i don't know if i was i was in the library as i met the leading lady right yeah but

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_05]: that's all i knew about it oh so you didn't even know that i didn't know what the story was or anything

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_05]: we were just told to sit there and we were what were we anyway i can't remember what the character was

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_05]: uh yeah you were just like yeah you were witches yes so many things i don't even remember wow people

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_05]: bring them up we go oh my god i don't remember that yeah it's funny when we talk to people and they're

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_05]: like oh that's right i was in that yeah something remind me i was in the muppets most wanted or one

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_05]: of those where we were in the gulag prison and we had to rehearse this whole song and dance scene we

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_02]: were dancing and i totally blanked out um no yeah because i'm sure with the amount of work that you

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_02]: do they like it's easy to like forget certain things same thing david chung mutual friend yeah uh same

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_02]: thing with him when we interviewed him it was saying like oh man i i i started naming off uh independent

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_02]: stuff that he did and he was like i'm surprised you knew about that well yeah i mean he's being very

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_05]: modest modest because uh i worked on a quite a few projects so he was on guardians of the galaxy he was

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_05]: in the prison scene right i remember we were just chilling out on one of the third floors he got told

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_05]: off because he's using his phone which is a no-no but uh yeah that was before he was training for stunts

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_05]: and then he was also on muppets he was on the muppets film he probably doesn't remember that either

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah yeah he's on quite a few that i was on yeah yeah now he's in barbie you know

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_02]: he's one of the kens right he's a kid he's kenna he is uh so between all the films and the shows

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_02]: everything that you've done what's one of your fondest memories like what's what's something that

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_02]: you think back on like oh man that was a fun thing that i did or just something that just sticks

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_05]: out uh i enjoyed working on no time to die um just because we got to

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_05]: do more i mean we got to work with a stunt team and we did a bit rehearsals with it because we were

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_05]: told we were going to be killed by gas we were the spectral agent okay in that scene and so we just

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_05]: you know we had some great fun rehearsing various ways of dying and falling down safely obviously so

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_05]: we didn't injure ourselves and yeah we got to work the stunt team with that and um just just makes it

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_05]: more interesting you know um when when you you know you got more i mean i just just illustrate how

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_05]: it can be the other way on spectre i had four days where i was just standing in the same position

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_05]: for the whole four days just watching what happened and you know so that's how it can be yeah you could

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_05]: be running around dodging bullets or you could be standing there and thank you and you have to do the same

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_05]: remember exactly what you were doing right which if you had a glass in that hand you know you have

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_05]: to remember that it was in that hand you know whatever whatever you were doing you have to be doing

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_02]: for for continuity right yeah yeah yeah um so any uh any fun stories from a set that was just like again

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_05]: just something that was just like oh yeah this is fun oh my god did that whenever anybody asks me that i go blank

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_05]: i think we could because i'm not sure what fun means does that mean like i did something crazy on set

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_02]: well i think of like uh like almost like something blooper worthy right where it's just like you know

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_05]: something oh okay all right okay i had i had to seen that probably didn't didn't make it into the force

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_05]: awakened but i was just so into the whole i had the you know the star wars music in my head and we were

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_05]: doing the huge resistance scenes which shot out green and common and you know there were lots of

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_05]: resistance lots of droids right four-sized millennium falcon two x-wing fighters chewie i think chewie back

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_05]: was there uh anti-nadaniel's as well as cvpo i think in one of the scenes he uh is explaining to the

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_05]: resistance what happened and i don't know when the ad's directed me to run from all the way down runway

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_05]: to where he is and then just arrive when he's explaining what he's explaining right and uh i did

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_05]: and we did this like must have been 20 times i was going oh my god i wish i hadn't agreed to do this so

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_05]: we were running down that runway 20 times arriving where there's crowd is and then probably not even

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_05]: seen but doing my job and um so and i never even knew what anthony daniel's doing because you don't

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_05]: hear his dialogue all you hear is he's just doing body movement okay because he does adr for uh for

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_05]: see the right so on one of the scenes i arrived there just and and and he's doing that see if

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_05]: appears on that oh my god he's waving at me what do i do oh i'll wait fast and then and then they cut

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_05]: the scene and takes us and he really rips into he makes an example of me he goes oh no he said when we

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_05]: because i wasn't waving at you i was just talking and he was like sorry so there you are that was so

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_05]: embarrassing i've i've heard that about it waving at him ruin this concentration waving at him well

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_05]: you know i've been running up and down like all day um go ahead no no i was going to say back to

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_06]: learning about you uh we've been talking uh what would be a dream role or franchise someone you haven't

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_02]: been in because you've been in everything so it's like i don't know if you want to learn the things i

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_06]: haven't been in i was going to say if you wanted to return to your franchise let's say i've touched

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_05]: the harry potter franchise that crimes the grim war star wars done three films james one done three films

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_05]: four marvel movies 11 episodes of doctor who pikachu movie jurassic world um fallen kingdom

[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_05]: um definitely loads of things i've known star trek that's filmed exclusively in america so i i have

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_05]: been asked that question before and then somebody said what would you be in stock well i'll be anything

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_05]: in star trek but i'd you know something like a frang in a bar would be cool you know just hanging out

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_05]: like a cheers bar and just being a frangy yeah that would be awesome my job i'll be really happy with that

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_06]: that would be cool nice yeah ferengi are awesome i do love the frangy i'm like so so what's a word

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_02]: that americans say that just makes you giggle american word is that something that we say that you just

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_05]: laugh at i never laugh at anything you just laugh at our actions because i think americans got a really

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_05]: cool way of speaking i think we feel the same way because the majority of us love the way you guys

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_05]: speak so no i think you guys are cool you got a really good i i almost talk in your way when i'm here

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_05]: in america yeah you're cool no i've got nothing horrible to say about americans okay i mean to the

[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_06]: extent that he's wearing americans he's wearing like very traditional americans because again

[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_06]: america america so in the great debate do you prefer coffee or tea both both together um

[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_05]: sometimes i'm really craving a coffee but it has to be quite strong coffee so i just like the cake

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_05]: but then sometimes i really want a nice cup of tea

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_06]: is it white do you do the white tea or do you do the with the cream or it's called milk

[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_06]: it's no cream in tea tea not in england i have i i've had it i i love tea and i actually put milk

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_05]: in your creamers they're weird i mean the creamers here got you want milk but they could like put

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_05]: all sorts of different flavors in it it's like i don't want sugar in my coffee our cream is 90

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_05]: percent sugar so yeah i didn't want sugar in my coffee but i thought cream is so that's kind of

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_02]: american thing yeah definitely i'm just overloading sugar and everything it's an american thing

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_02]: um if you could be a superhero or a super villain which one would you be and what ordinary task

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_02]: would really frustrate you what task would frustrate me yeah so as a superhero or super villain

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_02]: right what ordinary everyday task would just be the most frustrating thing to do uh how about uh

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_05]: dr zoom okay okay trying to open a tin of baked beans with my gauntlets on with the gauntlets on

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_06]: i just see you and a bunch of doing bots like trying to open this thing working for me man

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_02]: it's gonna handsome this can i mean just use the magic because i'm tired of using

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_02]: them with the technology uh so frey has a fangirl question for you here after this like you guys

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_06]: are welcome to ask any questions you have as well this is our audience participation but my fangirl

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_06]: question is what is the most challenging sequence you've had to perform on film

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_05]: um probably i'd say when i was working on uh doc strange multiverse madness the reason

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_05]: the challenge is always the costume the more uncomfortable the costume the worse the day is

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_05]: going to be and then if you add onto that the environment like if it's hot in air studio lights

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_05]: are hot the air conditioning isn't on those things matter when you're there 12 hours a day so the more

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_05]: comfortable the costume the better your day will be uh but costume designers don't look at it right

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_05]: right right yeah their motto is it's got to look good it's gonna look good so uh so on the multiverse

[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_05]: of madness um we had like a armored sort of the camera torch had kind of like a hard plastic armor

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_05]: it looked great and then just as we were about to shoot the scene uh the costume designer had this

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_05]: amazing idea was going to design these uh like rain very heavy rain max camera target re-max as we were

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_05]: going on to the the the set he was just randomly picking people to throw them on oh my gosh and i drew

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_05]: the shorts roll so i had the full arm on and i had this rain mark on plus we were shooting at the tail

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_05]: and the cobit so we had to wear masks on and a visor oh wow anytime we were ever able to take it off

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_05]: which you're in action and then it had to go so on so it was very hot in there two double layers of

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_05]: costumes running around the set training to fight the scarlet witch it looks great on film but yeah

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_06]: that was really challenging oh yeah that sounds it well you know you made it look effortless

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_05]: because you're welcome well i did my best geeky geeky uh camera charge dr strange pose

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_06]: we have some special guests i think that they would like to i was gonna say before we bring on

[00:32:24] [SPEAKER_02]: the special guests we have a couple wrap-up questions and then we're gonna bring on stage

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_02]: and uh they're gonna present something for you here uh so wrapping up here i'm gonna ask you the

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_02]: hardest question you've ever been asked in your life go on all right what is your favorite kind of taco

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_05]: i don't know i didn't know there was a different type of type of taco like what's your favorite kind

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_05]: of feeling what what's oh i love guacamole and i like refried beans okay get cheese that's it

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_02]: isn't it that's all that's in them and salsa uh is that how how it is here i don't know for uh for

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_02]: for those of us who are in the hispanic community you know we eat a lot of meat so it's like oh yeah yeah

[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_05]: it's mince beef you have it okay no i'll i'll have to the works uh but i'm i must say i'm not

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_05]: experienced in that world of mexican food so i wouldn't know i hear there's not much in london

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_02]: you didn't catch a question from the audience uh i don't um so if there's any questions from the

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_02]: audience if anybody in the audience has a question uh if you want to go up to the mic right here

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_02]: anybody uh right behind you right there keep in mind we have an asthmatic that's waiting to

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_04]: come on stage right now how was it buying dinosaurs in jurassic world oh oh that's so much fun to be

[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_05]: on that show um i mean it's just running around and a lot of time those dinosaurs aren't on set

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_05]: so um a lot of this doesn't impose but now i was thrilled to to be i i mean my my wish would

[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_05]: have been to be eaten by a dinosaur it didn't it didn't happen they and i was very close to being

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_05]: chosen as one of the ones that was in the elevator but i didn't get get the job but they will there

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_05]: was a scene where the interrupt comes in and takes all those people that would have been that's one of

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_05]: those scenes it's like jurassic world you want to be eaten by a dinosaur in harry potter you want to

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_05]: be with it that's good that those are the kind of things you want it's always you want to be a jedi

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_05]: well that's that's that's how i see it you know that's the dream isn't it you know so and it got

[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_02]: to be creatures on doctor who which is really cool um so yeah yeah nice uh who wins in a fight

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_02]: kamrataj warrior or a central park tourist in morbius oh

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_02]: tourist assistant right of the kamrataj exactly uh so what's next for you what's uh any new cons or

[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_05]: any any non-nda things that we can talk about uh things i mean that's coming out they're all

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_05]: okay was it con you say next call yeah next con oh i mean demo next next weekend denmark yeah

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_05]: nice there's a sci-fi con there that's gonna be cool um yeah some great guests uh too i'm looking

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_05]: forward to that awesome you have a question yeah are we we've only just started so we have another

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_00]: question oh yeah yeah hold on hold on hold on okay there you go i'm short so what's uh what's your

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_00]: favorite movie playing and how'd you get the part what's your favorite movie you played and how'd you get

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_05]: the part oh so because it's background work it's it the the way the casting works they there are

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_05]: agencies and they have many many many faces because it really is about your looks um so they they'll

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_05]: give a wide brief uh say this is what we want we want these guys with this kind of look and blah blah

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_05]: blah and then they might choose choose twice as many people and then they'll should they'll send that to

[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_05]: production production will show that to the director the director will whittle it down and then if you'll

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_05]: pick they'll call you in for a fitting obviously the most important thing is you have to be available

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_05]: to film and then if you're lucky you get a part in the film um but it's it's actually it's not as easy

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_05]: it looks there's lots of people who you can't can't get can't get the work it's not that easy

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_05]: all right uh so where can everyone find you and follow you uh i'm on instagram clems clem dot so
