[00:00:14] What up ladies and gentlemen. It is that time Tuesday. It's Taco Tuesday. You know what that means. We're having tacos.

[00:01:01] You are now watching and listening and experiencing Distance Nerding.

[00:01:12] Hey, uh...

[00:01:14] No! Oh, part of the Comic Con Radio Podcast family. That was me. I apologize.

[00:01:18] There we go. Alright, well she's obviously auditioning to play America Ferrer in Barbie 2. It's Jen from Frey Comics.

[00:01:25] Holy Mark Grayson! It's Shadoo!

[00:01:29] He's Dr. Doom's personal assistant. It's Young Phil!

[00:01:32] That's 100% true. I am 100% Dr. Doom's personal assistant. And we're here to nerd together.

[00:01:42] Together.

[00:01:44] Obviously not for the 185th time.

[00:01:46] We're here to nerd together.

[00:01:48] We're here to nerd together.

[00:01:49] We're talking anything pop culture, news, movies, music, food, wrestling, comics, comic cons, whatever you're nerding out on.

[00:01:57] We want to talk about it. Ladies and gentlemen, follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, threads, YouTube, Discord, all the places.

[00:02:04] All at Dist.

[00:02:06] Oh, wait a minute. There's... Yeah, that.

[00:02:08] Dist!

[00:02:11] It's nerding.

[00:02:12] It's nerding.

[00:02:12] Oh, I... No, no, no. See, it's got... It's just space because it's distance.

[00:02:16] Oh, because there's distance.

[00:02:18] You're getting the joke now.

[00:02:19] It's like America to Norway.

[00:02:20] It's clever. It's good.

[00:02:21] Yeah.

[00:02:22] It's nerding at AOL.com.

[00:02:24] And we will read your email on the air, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:02:29] Or not ladies and gentlemen.

[00:02:30] I mean, you guys are all here, but Frey, Shadoo, how are we doing?

[00:02:34] How was your guys' weekend?

[00:02:35] It was amazing.

[00:02:37] Because we got to see Deadpool Wolverine.

[00:02:40] Yes.

[00:02:41] Yes.

[00:02:41] Which was amazing.

[00:02:42] We are not talking spoilers tonight, but we will be talking spoilers soon.

[00:02:46] We're gonna talk about this little fella.

[00:02:47] Yeah.

[00:02:48] What he did next week.

[00:02:50] We will be talking about it.

[00:02:52] There's gonna be an entire conversation on it, and we're gonna have...

[00:02:56] Because if we start talking about it, that will be the entire show.

[00:02:59] Oh, yeah. No, I will talk Deadpool all day, and we know this already.

[00:03:02] We have a lot to get through, because there's been a lot that's happened.

[00:03:05] Yeah.

[00:03:05] This was also dual Comic-Con weekend, so it's like...

[00:03:08] Right.

[00:03:09] We got a lot to talk about.

[00:03:10] So with that being said, and without going on too hard of a tangent right now, ladies

[00:03:15] and gentlemen, you have now stumbled onto the best or probably the worst kept secret

[00:03:20] on all of the internet.

[00:03:22] Ladies and gentlemen, you are now watching The Download.

[00:03:48] Well, I did not mean to play that twice, so...

[00:03:50] You can get two intros for the price of one.

[00:03:52] No, you know what it is?

[00:03:53] It's because I looped the videos when I'm playing it at the beginning, and I forgot to

[00:03:58] uncheck loop, so then it goes in place again.

[00:04:03] Well, with that being said, ladies and gentlemen, here we are.

[00:04:06] We are here.

[00:04:07] Let's get right into this.

[00:04:09] This week on deck, we've got the Geek End update.

[00:04:13] It's not on there.

[00:04:14] Oh.

[00:04:15] That's a wrap on Metal Gear.

[00:04:17] Oh, you're a robot again.

[00:04:18] You're a robot.

[00:04:19] Oh.

[00:04:21] I'm a demon.

[00:04:25] She's shaking the goat.

[00:04:26] Anytime we play the intro, that's what happens.

[00:04:29] Yeah.

[00:04:29] I think it just overloads sound.

[00:04:32] But we are starting...

[00:04:34] Light camera reaction!

[00:04:36] Too long.

[00:04:37] Didn't watch.

[00:04:37] We'll cover it soon.

[00:04:38] No lights camera reaction this week, guys.

[00:04:40] But we are starting rumors.

[00:04:42] Are we getting a rainbow of pulse?

[00:04:45] Are we getting a rainbow of pulse?

[00:04:46] I like you both did it at the same time.

[00:04:48] And of course, the download.

[00:04:50] All the SDCC news for you, plus some bad jokes from the DN crew.

[00:04:54] Yeah, because that's what we're...

[00:04:55] Me.

[00:04:56] It's mostly me.

[00:04:57] It's me.

[00:04:58] It's she do.

[00:04:59] She do.

[00:04:59] She do is the problem.

[00:05:00] She do.

[00:05:01] I rewrote a lot of the jokes.

[00:05:03] They're very bad.

[00:05:04] Metso's in the chat right now saying, Frey, your hair looks beautiful.

[00:05:09] I was like, seriously, just like saying something back to her.

[00:05:12] Like, hello, Dan.

[00:05:13] Hi, Metso.

[00:05:14] And then also, yes, I did hear the rumor that Metso hurt herself.

[00:05:17] Yeah.

[00:05:17] Metso, I think we can confirm that rumor and I hope you get well soon.

[00:05:22] Yes.

[00:05:22] Get well, Metsy.

[00:05:24] Yeah.

[00:05:24] We were just starting the show when that news started popping in.

[00:05:28] I was like, you're back now.

[00:05:30] It's your back this time?

[00:05:32] Oh, I haven't like looked.

[00:05:34] Oh, I'm so sorry.

[00:05:35] Yeah.

[00:05:36] Hmm.

[00:05:36] Okay.

[00:05:37] Well, enjoy the insanity that is us.

[00:05:40] Exactly.

[00:05:40] You get to sit back, relax and relax too hard.

[00:05:45] But I mean, yeah, don't laugh too much.

[00:05:47] If it gets too funny, then you can bow out.

[00:05:51] Yeah.

[00:05:52] Just bow out.

[00:05:53] But before we get into all that stuff, of course, ladies and gentlemen, let me get a shout out.

[00:06:01] Merging.

[00:06:01] Is it emerging?

[00:06:02] No, no, it's a brand energy dream.

[00:06:09] Concentration reaction time with no jitters or crash.

[00:06:12] Clearly Phil hasn't had his yet because I got to do this.

[00:06:16] No maltodextrin, sugars, fillers, artificial colors or dyes and it's keto friendly.

[00:06:22] What?

[00:06:23] Debbie contains Neurofactor to help give your brain focus and clarity.

[00:06:28] And the 150 milligrams of caffeine and three essential B vitamins help you stay alert and energized.

[00:06:40] Again, that is www.w.dubby.gg.

[00:06:46] And that's for goodness gracious.

[00:06:47] Use the code nerding10 for 10% off the checkout.

[00:06:55] There you go.

[00:06:56] Good job.

[00:06:56] I got to do one.

[00:06:57] I know, right?

[00:06:57] She just jumped on it before I had a chance to even say anything.

[00:07:01] Like a cougar.

[00:07:02] Well, I mean, you know, is that what we're calling you nowadays?

[00:07:05] Yep.

[00:07:05] I'm a cougar.

[00:07:06] I've accepted it.

[00:07:07] Yeah.

[00:07:07] I'm married to a younger man.

[00:07:09] I'm not sure how I feel about this.

[00:07:10] My third husband will be a younger man.

[00:07:12] And my fourth husband will be a younger man.

[00:07:13] I am not sure how I feel about this.

[00:07:14] The moment you say I'm a cougar, the first thing I did was look down at Shadu's face and see what his reaction to that was.

[00:07:20] It's like, I don't want to hear my mom is a cougar.

[00:07:25] You know, my father, you know, my father, several times, my father was uncomfortable in general.

[00:07:33] So I was a drinker.

[00:07:35] Okay.

[00:07:36] Uh, Sandra, Betty, same.

[00:07:41] She did get injured as well over the weekend.

[00:07:42] Uh, she got beat up by a four year old on Friday before we left before we went to Oregon.

[00:07:47] Oh, goodness.

[00:07:48] Yeah.

[00:07:49] And then I threw her back out.

[00:07:51] It was, it was, she, she wasn't able to do a lot over the weekend.

[00:07:54] So with that being said, ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the geek end update.

[00:08:07] This just in distance learning is on comic-con radio.

[00:08:11] Yeah.

[00:08:14] For the distance learning podcast, even this episode and our second show, a comic conversation each week on comic-con slash radio.com slash podcast.

[00:08:24] Now, actually fun fact, we are playing catch up with comic-con radio right now, uh, with comic conversation.

[00:08:30] Uh, so as of right now for the next, uh, at least the next month and a half, uh, we're putting out, uh, daily episodes Monday through Friday.

[00:08:39] Yeah.

[00:08:40] So, uh, be on the lookout for that.

[00:08:42] You're going to be getting a new, a whole raft of new episodes of comic conversation.

[00:08:46] Uh, and that's just going to give you guys a whole bunch of, uh, new content and new stuff to listen to, uh, while you're listening to the stuff guys.

[00:08:54] So there you go.

[00:08:55] Uh, later on tonight, two episodes are going to be coming out.

[00:08:58] Joey Da'aria, uh, who most famously was, uh, Bozo the clown, but also was droopy dog in Tom and Jerry and, uh, butch the cat and Tom and Jerry.

[00:09:08] Uh, he played whisper and yo-kai watch series, but he, uh, he played him in a newer iteration of it.

[00:09:15] Oh, okay.

[00:09:16] Yeah.

[00:09:16] So he wasn't, uh, he wasn't the, the original droopy dog.

[00:09:20] He was, uh, uh, he played droopy in, in more recent iteration of it.

[00:09:24] Oh, the new stuff.

[00:09:25] Uh, not like the newer, newer stuff.

[00:09:27] It was like a newer version of it, but I mean, like, it wasn't like, no, the new.

[00:09:30] Are you feeling?

[00:09:32] Are you feeling now?

[00:09:33] It was a Tom and Jerry.

[00:09:35] It was a version of Tom and Jerry.

[00:09:36] Have I made you a little uncomfortable by having you explain all that or are you in your wheelhouse?

[00:09:41] Okay.

[00:09:41] No, no, we're good.

[00:09:41] We're good.

[00:09:42] And then also, uh, the other episode coming out tonight is Barry Evans.

[00:09:46] Uh, Barry Evans was, uh, he was one of the guys in the actual suits for, um, Super Sentai, the, the, what, what became Power Rangers.

[00:09:56] Oh, cool.

[00:09:57] Yeah.

[00:09:57] So he was one of the dudes in Super Sentai in Japan, you know, the show that was repurposed for Power Rangers later.

[00:10:03] So, uh, and he's, no, I'm just laughing that that we said the exact same thing in the exact same way at the same time.

[00:10:10] Sharing a brain tonight.

[00:10:12] I mean, it happens.

[00:10:14] Uh, so, so look out for those two episodes tonight.

[00:10:17] And then of course, uh, uh, for the rest of the week, we've got episodes scheduled to come out, uh, with, uh, various things that we've done.

[00:10:24] And some fun, uh, interviews that we've done over the course of the month here.

[00:10:27] So, uh, over the course of the year, sorry, the, of course, the last year here, uh, until we catch back up and we have all of our latest episodes out.

[00:10:34] Um, so with that being said, uh, let's, let's talk about the events of the weekend, ladies and gentlemen, Metal Art Comic Con just happened this weekend in Medford, Oregon.

[00:10:44] Uh, and we hung, we got to hang out with Andy Merrill from Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

[00:10:50] Um, he was in Adventure Time.

[00:10:52] He was in, um, all kinds of stuff, man.

[00:10:56] Uh, like all kinds of fun stuff.

[00:10:57] Uh, Steven Constantino from Star Wars, Lou Temple, uh, who's most famous for Walking Dead, Walker, Texas Ranger, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

[00:11:05] Uh, he was, he's been for Rob Zombie movies, you know, all kinds of fun stuff like that.

[00:11:10] Yeah.

[00:11:10] Uh, and then what were you saying is he really likes Walker.

[00:11:13] Yes.

[00:11:13] Just in general.

[00:11:14] Just walking.

[00:11:15] If it has walk in it.

[00:11:17] The word walk in it.

[00:11:18] Right, right.

[00:11:18] Yeah.

[00:11:19] And of course, Dave Fennoy, who's been in every video game you've ever loved and has been in every, uh, he's been in a lot of-

[00:11:25] And several times.

[00:11:26] Yeah.

[00:11:27] And he's been in a lot of iconic cartoons as well, so.

[00:11:30] I have, it's been a long time since I've really been intimidated by someone.

[00:11:35] I wasn't even intimidated by Sean Astin.

[00:11:38] I was nervous, but I wasn't intimidated.

[00:11:41] Just doing the research on Dave Fennoy, I was fricking intimidated.

[00:11:46] This guy has done everything.

[00:11:47] Everything.

[00:11:48] He is the voice of Hulu.com.

[00:11:50] He is.

[00:11:50] He was the voice of Lexus.

[00:11:52] He was the voice of McDonald's.

[00:11:54] He was the voice, uh, he's, he's like almost all the award shows that you could have a voice for.

[00:12:01] He's been it or is currently it.

[00:12:03] It's Dave's world and we're all just talking about it.

[00:12:06] Yeah.

[00:12:06] No, seriously.

[00:12:07] The dude has been in everything.

[00:12:09] Dave is leading the shadow government people.

[00:12:11] You heard it here first.

[00:12:12] Yeah.

[00:12:12] And he's also a super humble guy.

[00:12:14] Like he's not in any way, uh, someone who, who was just like, oh yeah, well I've done everything.

[00:12:19] Like, you know,

[00:12:20] Which is almost more terrifying.

[00:12:21] Yeah.

[00:12:22] He, dude, he played Pong Krell.

[00:12:24] He played Pong Krell in, uh, in.

[00:12:26] Exactly.

[00:12:27] Yeah.

[00:12:27] In, in, in Star Wars.

[00:12:29] Oh, bro.

[00:12:30] You know, uh, like arguably one of the most impactful characters in that last season.

[00:12:36] Yeah.

[00:12:36] Yeah.

[00:12:36] I mean like he, this guy has done it all.

[00:12:39] Yeah.

[00:12:40] And he has.

[00:12:41] Not the last season for the record.

[00:12:41] Does he still have the amazing long dreadlocks?

[00:12:44] Yeah.

[00:12:44] Oh dude.

[00:12:45] His locks are long.

[00:12:46] I am telling you.

[00:12:46] For the record, Pong Krell was not in the last season.

[00:12:48] I don't think.

[00:12:49] Oh, was he the season before that then?

[00:12:50] I know he was one of the later seasons.

[00:12:52] He wasn't.

[00:12:52] Yeah.

[00:12:53] He was somewhere in the middle, but he was not in the last season.

[00:12:55] Look, I'm trying to compliment this man.

[00:12:57] I'm sorry.

[00:12:57] I'm trying to be a nerd.

[00:12:59] I think he could do an amazing cosplay for a list Valerian.

[00:13:03] Yes.

[00:13:03] He could play Valerian.

[00:13:05] He could.

[00:13:05] And also.

[00:13:06] He probably still will.

[00:13:07] You know what?

[00:13:08] Yeah.

[00:13:09] If they need a Magneto, live action Magneto.

[00:13:12] Dave and I.

[00:13:13] He can do it.

[00:13:14] Well, that's the thing is he doesn't do very much live action stuff.

[00:13:17] He prefers doing voiceover, but I mean, still like.

[00:13:19] He can.

[00:13:20] But he's got those luscious locks.

[00:13:22] And you know, he played blade too, right?

[00:13:24] He played blade.

[00:13:25] Yeah.

[00:13:25] One of the games, right?

[00:13:26] Yeah.

[00:13:27] Yeah.

[00:13:27] Okay.

[00:13:28] That's yeah.

[00:13:28] I thought I saw that.

[00:13:29] Yeah.

[00:13:30] He played blade.

[00:13:30] He, the dude is played in every major franchise you've ever come to love.

[00:13:36] Yes.

[00:13:36] He was somebody in Mass Effect, wasn't he?

[00:13:38] Yes, he was.

[00:13:39] Yeah.

[00:13:39] Who was he in Mass Effect?

[00:13:40] He was in all the Fallout games.

[00:13:42] He's played a different character in every Fallout game.

[00:13:43] He's been in Elder Scrolls stuff.

[00:13:45] Yeah.

[00:13:46] Elder Scrolls stuff.

[00:13:47] Of course, he, he, he is the main character in the first season of The Walking Dead Telltale

[00:13:55] game.

[00:13:55] But he also did the Telltale Borderlands game.

[00:13:57] He's done games for a couple games for, for Telltale.

[00:14:00] Telltale, right?

[00:14:01] Yeah.

[00:14:01] Wasn't also like a bad thing too, wasn't he?

[00:14:03] He played like Lucius.

[00:14:04] No, he plays Lucius Fox.

[00:14:05] Yeah.

[00:14:06] Lucius Fox.

[00:14:07] In the, in the Arkham games.

[00:14:09] That's it.

[00:14:10] Yeah.

[00:14:10] He was, he was Okir in Mass Effect.

[00:14:13] He's Warlord Okir.

[00:14:13] Okir.

[00:14:14] Okay.

[00:14:14] Yeah.

[00:14:14] Yeah.

[00:14:15] He's, he's, uh, all kinds of different characters.

[00:14:20] So check this out.

[00:14:21] That's awesome.

[00:14:21] We, we had a whole lot of fun.

[00:14:23] We did, uh, a bunch of interviews, uh, on, on stage as we always do, but we're going

[00:14:29] to go with this.

[00:14:29] So the Saturday night, right?

[00:14:32] Uh, you know, you know, we always do our, uh, our, our taco question.

[00:14:36] Yeah.

[00:14:36] Mm.

[00:14:36] Right.

[00:14:37] And I always, you know, at the end, once everybody says, you know, what, what their favorite taco

[00:14:40] is, I'll talk about Al Pastor and everything like that.

[00:14:43] So Steven goes, Hey, we're very well aware of that.

[00:14:45] Right.

[00:14:45] I know.

[00:14:46] I know.

[00:14:46] That's why I didn't really go over it.

[00:14:48] I was like, yeah, just reminder.

[00:14:50] Right.

[00:14:50] So Steven, uh, Steven Constantino, who played a, uh, Gamorian garden, star Wars, uh, on our

[00:14:56] way out, he goes, Hey, so, so what are you doing for dinner?

[00:14:59] And I was like, uh, we don't know yet.

[00:15:00] And he goes, let's go get some tacos.

[00:15:01] And I'm like, sounds like a good idea.

[00:15:03] Let's do it.

[00:15:04] Right.

[00:15:04] Uh, so we, uh, we're on our way to go meet him at the hotel and Andy Merrill who plays,

[00:15:11] uh, Brack in, uh, in, in all the space co stuff.

[00:15:14] Uh, he needed to ride back to the hotel.

[00:15:16] So I was like, all right, hop in, let's go.

[00:15:17] Right.

[00:15:17] So, um, you know, I go to go text them, uh, to go meet us in the lobby so we can kind

[00:15:22] of figure out what we're going to do.

[00:15:23] And he goes, well, uh, he, he sat in his, in the chair in his, in his, uh, hotel room.

[00:15:28] And he said, he started passing out.

[00:15:30] So he's like, I'm not going to go.

[00:15:31] Uh, he goes, we'll, we'll hang out tomorrow.

[00:15:32] So Steven, uh, Steven's like, okay, well, let's go figure this out.

[00:15:35] Uh, and then he calls me right before we go downstairs and he goes, Hey, so Lou Temple

[00:15:39] and Dave Fenora are going to come with us too.

[00:15:41] Damn.

[00:15:44] Right.

[00:15:44] And, and I was like, I was like, okay, cool.

[00:15:47] Now that that's fine.

[00:15:48] There's not enough room in my truck, but like, let's, we're going to do this.

[00:15:52] Right.

[00:15:53] Yeah.

[00:15:53] We will figure this out.

[00:15:54] Right.

[00:15:55] Um, Oh, sorry.

[00:15:56] Uh, awesome.

[00:15:57] Mang in, uh, in Instagram's asking, uh, what are thoughts on Dr. Doom as Iron Man?

[00:16:01] We're going to get to that.

[00:16:03] Uh, but so, so we, uh, we get to, we get to the lobby where there's not enough room in

[00:16:09] my truck.

[00:16:10] Uh, and I know that, um, that van from, uh, Kyber cave, uh, van and, uh, his whole entourage,

[00:16:19] uh, wanted to come, we're coming with us too.

[00:16:21] So we have the meet at meets at our hotel.

[00:16:23] Uh, and basically between the two vehicles, we figure everything out.

[00:16:27] Right.

[00:16:28] You touched that shit.

[00:16:29] Didn't you?

[00:16:30] We kind of did, but, uh, and you threw Lou Temple in the, in the trunk.

[00:16:34] It's okay.

[00:16:34] No, that wouldn't have happened at all.

[00:16:36] Uh, let's just say that, uh, van would have gone to the trunk.

[00:16:41] Yeah.

[00:16:41] Vans, uh, uh, vehicle had seats pulled out and there were no like actual seats in there

[00:16:46] and people were laying on the floor.

[00:16:48] Let's just go with that.

[00:16:49] Uh, very unsafe, but Hey, it already happened.

[00:16:52] And so we're, it's whatever.

[00:16:53] Uh, so, so we're on our way to this, uh, to this place.

[00:16:57] I look up this restaurant, uh, or at least what seemed to be a restaurant because you can

[00:17:01] see where this is going to go.

[00:17:03] Uh, what seemed to be a restaurant, uh, and threw us in the hands of trunk.

[00:17:08] Um, I, I, I look at, uh, the, the reviews.

[00:17:12] It says it's the best Al Pastor in the, in the entire rogue Valley.

[00:17:16] Uh, you know, everything like everybody's talking about how good it is.

[00:17:19] Right.

[00:17:20] But I mean, well, but I mean that, that, that, that should still say something, right?

[00:17:23] There's enough Latinos in, in, in Oregon.

[00:17:25] So we, we start driving there.

[00:17:27] Uh, and already we're, we're starting to drive under a bridge.

[00:17:30] So I'm already like, Oh, we're not in the greatest neighborhood right now, but I'm just

[00:17:34] like, yeah, but see you guys live in LA.

[00:17:36] You understand, right?

[00:17:37] The worst neighborhood neighborhoods have the best food.

[00:17:39] So we're okay.

[00:17:41] Yeah.

[00:17:41] Yeah.

[00:17:42] So we get there, pull in gravel parking lot.

[00:17:45] It's a food truck.

[00:17:45] Oh man.

[00:17:47] Now, now Lou wanted to sit down because he was kind of already upset that we weren't

[00:17:52] going to go to a sit down place to get steaks.

[00:17:54] That's what he wanted.

[00:17:55] Right.

[00:17:55] Uh, and, and Dave is like, yeah, this is kind of sketchy.

[00:18:00] Right.

[00:18:01] Um, but you know, basically, uh, Steven's like, no, let's try it out, man.

[00:18:05] I'm, I'm telling you, this is, I mean, you know, we'll just try it out.

[00:18:08] If it's bad, it's bad.

[00:18:09] If it's good, it's good, whatever.

[00:18:10] Right.

[00:18:10] So we go in and there's a tent in front of the, in front of the, um, the food truck

[00:18:15] with, with, with tables that we at least could like put some tables together and whatnot.

[00:18:18] Um, the first thing where everything starts looking up is we order a shit ton of food.

[00:18:25] Yeah.

[00:18:25] Right.

[00:18:26] Less than a hundred bucks.

[00:18:27] Right.

[00:18:28] Already.

[00:18:28] That's a big deal.

[00:18:29] Less than a hundred bucks when you have what?

[00:18:31] Like 13 people and everybody's getting like six or seven tacos and giant burritos and drinks

[00:18:36] and stuff like that.

[00:18:37] Like we didn't, we really did not spend that much at all.

[00:18:40] Right.

[00:18:40] Um, and then the food came out really fast.

[00:18:43] Right.

[00:18:43] Okay.

[00:18:43] So we're all sitting there.

[00:18:45] It's all starting to look up a little bit.

[00:18:46] And Dave is the first one to take a bite.

[00:18:49] Right.

[00:18:49] He goes, all right, well, let's see how good this is.

[00:18:51] Right.

[00:18:51] So he takes a bite out of his burrito and you just see this look of just pure bliss

[00:18:55] come over his face.

[00:18:57] Oh yeah.

[00:18:58] Right.

[00:18:58] And he was like, oh my God, this is delicious.

[00:19:00] Right.

[00:19:01] And so we're just sitting there.

[00:19:03] We all just start eating and we're all just kind of in agreeance that the food is really

[00:19:06] fucking good.

[00:19:07] Right.

[00:19:07] Oh, the other thing, when we were walking in, there was like a group of people that were

[00:19:10] there that were like, no, this is the best food in Oregon.

[00:19:13] You guys don't understand.

[00:19:14] This is the best food in Oregon.

[00:19:16] And the line that like the spirit of Ming Chen was with you.

[00:19:19] I know the line behind us were nobody in line spoke English.

[00:19:24] Everybody was speaking Spanish.

[00:19:25] So that's another good sign.

[00:19:26] Yeah.

[00:19:27] Right.

[00:19:27] Right.

[00:19:28] Yeah.

[00:19:29] Yeah.

[00:19:29] Is when Latinos are going there, it's always a good sign.

[00:19:31] So, uh, so we all start eating and it was funny cause like at first Lou was not into

[00:19:36] it at all.

[00:19:37] And then as he's like starting to eat, he goes, well, it wasn't expensive.

[00:19:40] Like the, he goes, uh, he goes, my, my four tacos would have been 30 bucks in LA.

[00:19:45] So, I mean like, you know, this is, this is fine.

[00:19:47] And he starts eating and he's like, oh my God, this is so good.

[00:19:50] Right.

[00:19:50] And we just start having conversations and he tells, he ends up telling me cause like

[00:19:54] I apologize.

[00:19:55] I was like, I'm sorry.

[00:19:56] We, we, I'm sorry.

[00:19:57] I didn't take you to a sit down restaurant, man.

[00:19:58] Like, you know, uh, you know, I, I thought it was a sit down restaurant.

[00:20:01] He goes, no, don't apologize.

[00:20:02] The food was really good and it was cheap.

[00:20:04] So I can't, I can't complain about that.

[00:20:05] Right.

[00:20:06] Right.

[00:20:06] Uh, and, and basically we ended up having that, that kind of like bonded all of us together.

[00:20:11] We ended up having an even better Sunday.

[00:20:13] Oh, that's awesome.

[00:20:14] Because we were all just kind of like cracking jokes and, uh, you know, back and forth and

[00:20:19] going and saying what's up to each other and everything.

[00:20:21] So it was like really cool.

[00:20:22] So Sunday happened.

[00:20:23] Sunday was a really good show.

[00:20:24] Sunday night.

[00:20:25] We end up going out with, um, with Andy, right?

[00:20:29] Because he didn't go out the night, night before with us.

[00:20:31] Uh, we ended up going to a pub, uh, and getting some food there.

[00:20:35] And that was actually really good too.

[00:20:37] Right.

[00:20:37] But we ended up getting a million stories that were not on the podcast from, from Andy

[00:20:43] Merrill.

[00:20:44] Right.

[00:20:44] One of them was, which is like one of my favorite stories that he tells, which we'll, we'll,

[00:20:47] we'll have that out hopefully in the next, uh, in the next couple of weeks here.

[00:20:50] Uh, but yeah, no, it like just sit, having a sit down, uh, dinner with, with Andy Merrill

[00:20:56] and just shooting the shit and him telling us like insider baseball stories and all these

[00:21:01] other stuff.

[00:21:02] It was, it was just a lot of fun.

[00:21:04] So we, we, we had a great weekend at the con, uh, and the con did really well.

[00:21:09] Um, so I mean, you know, that's, uh, we, it was a, it was a very good weekend.

[00:21:15] Uh, another weekend that, uh, James got to miss out on just like he's missing out on the

[00:21:20] show.

[00:21:20] Yeah.

[00:21:21] Uh, so that was, uh, that was our weekend this weekend guys.

[00:21:25] Uh, so with that being said, uh, this weekend, I know, right this weekend, let's talk about

[00:21:32] Kyber con for baby.

[00:21:36] Ladies and gentlemen, this weekend, Kyber con four is happening Saturday, August 3rd at

[00:21:43] all funked up in Vacaville, California, Vacaville, Vacaville.

[00:21:47] Uh, the con you didn't know you needed Kyber con four is absolutely free.

[00:21:52] So make your way there, go and hang out with the Kyber cave crew, uh, and, uh, and, and meet

[00:21:59] some fun people.

[00:22:00] Well, it's going to be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

[00:22:03] Inside of all funked up at back at the Vacaville outlet mall.

[00:22:06] Uh, Chris Bartlett from star Wars is going to be there.

[00:22:08] He is the successor to, uh, C3PO.

[00:22:13] He's the guy that plays basically every droid in Disney now.

[00:22:17] Yes.

[00:22:17] Right.

[00:22:18] Uh, as well as musician, I was looking at the wrong thing there.

[00:22:22] Uh, as, as musician, David Gonzalez is going to be there.

[00:22:25] Uh, the, uh, he was one, he was the drummer on drop, uh, Java's barge in, uh, return of

[00:22:31] the Jedi.

[00:22:31] Uh, now of course, uh, Mandalorian Merc, uh, the Mandalorian Mercs are going to be the

[00:22:35] Imperial Outlanders, uh, R2 and the D squad.

[00:22:38] Um, comic book writer H Scott is going to be there.

[00:22:41] Um, there's going to be, they're going to be giving away things every hour.

[00:22:43] Uh, there's going to be a costume contest at two o'clock and, uh, a panel with Chris Bartlett

[00:22:48] himself at three.

[00:22:49] Uh, it is partially hosted by us.

[00:22:53] Uh, James is going to be the one hosting, uh, but he's only going to be there until

[00:22:56] two.

[00:22:56] So we're going to try and figure out costume contest in the panel and everything.

[00:23:00] Uh, I unfortunately couldn't get the day off of work, so I'm not going to make it to that

[00:23:05] one.

[00:23:05] Uh, as, as I tried today to see if I can get somebody to take it for me, but like nobody's

[00:23:11] willing to switch a Saturday with me.

[00:23:12] Yeah.

[00:23:13] Saturday, trying to get somebody to work on a Saturday in the summer.

[00:23:17] Yeah.

[00:23:18] Well, a lot of it is cause like people are just like, I want to be with my family or, you know,

[00:23:23] they just don't want to work on Saturdays in general.

[00:23:25] So, um, you know, I, I, I really did try.

[00:23:28] I called like everybody and they're like, no, I can't do it.

[00:23:31] So, you know, James needs to pull his weight.

[00:23:34] Uh, James has another family thing that he's got to do on Saturday, but he's going to,

[00:23:38] he's going to be there from 11 to two at minimum.

[00:23:40] Uh, so he won't be able to do the costume contest in the, in the celebrity panel, but,

[00:23:43] uh, he'll be there to do, uh, kind of like other like announcements and prize

[00:23:47] giveaways for, for the, uh, first half, half of the day.

[00:23:51] No, that's, that was good.

[00:23:51] Of course, Kyber Cave people will be there too.

[00:23:53] Yeah.

[00:23:53] And of course, you know, like you're all your favorite people from, from Kyber Cave, from,

[00:23:57] uh, um, from the Kyber Cave website, uh, website from the YouTube channel.

[00:24:02] Um, it is the website technically, but I mean like, uh, from the Kyber, uh, Kyber Cave productions,

[00:24:07] all your favorite people, except for, you know, of course the ones that don't live in California,

[00:24:10] like your gens and, uh, and your graveyards and your should do's, uh, and your, uh, and your forces,

[00:24:17] you know, your, your forces is, is, is, um, but yeah, guys, uh, make your way there.

[00:24:25] Make sure you're there.

[00:24:26] Uh, and say hello to, say, say hello to, uh, to, to, to hello to our little friend van.

[00:24:33] Well, I was gonna say, say hello to arc, uh, on behalf of, uh, young Phil.

[00:24:37] Yes.

[00:24:38] Yes.

[00:24:38] Uh, and James eventually.

[00:24:40] And James.

[00:24:40] Yeah.

[00:24:41] Uh, so ladies and gentlemen, that is it for the geek end update.

[00:24:46] Uh, everybody.

[00:24:47] Oh, wait, we still have a lot more to do.

[00:24:49] We got so much more to do.

[00:24:50] Ladies and gentlemen, let's, uh, let's start some rumors here.

[00:24:55] I don't know where to get in their nose, but I'm not mad if tonight it comes true.

[00:25:03] Oh, let's got some rumors.

[00:25:05] I want to start some rumors with you.

[00:25:08] With you.

[00:25:10] With you.

[00:25:11] With you.

[00:25:16] Exactly.

[00:25:17] All right.

[00:25:18] Well, let's jump right into the first rumor we have here.

[00:25:22] Uh, I am legend too.

[00:25:24] I am legend screenwriter and producer Akiva Goldsman recently teased that some news will

[00:25:30] be dropping soon about Will Smith and Michael B Jordan's.

[00:25:33] I am legend too.

[00:25:34] Now deadline is reporting that Warner brothers is interested in hiring transformers rise of

[00:25:39] the beast filmmaker, Steven cable jr.

[00:25:42] To direct the film.

[00:25:43] Goldsman also revealed at comic-con over the weekend that he has also completed a second

[00:25:48] draft of the script for I am legend too.

[00:25:50] After meeting with Jordan and Smith.

[00:25:52] So guys tacos on the table.

[00:25:53] Are we interested in I am legend sequel?

[00:25:56] No, I mean my tacos are not on the table for this.

[00:26:00] I don't think they needed a second draft.

[00:26:02] No, in terms of likelihood, uh, my decayed very quickly running, uh, Will Smith adjacent

[00:26:11] tacos are on the table just for likelihood.

[00:26:14] Cause they will, they would totally do something like this.

[00:26:16] Um, I don't like it, but they're on the table.

[00:26:19] Yeah.

[00:26:19] I'm here's the thing, right?

[00:26:22] Do we want it to happen?

[00:26:23] I don't necessarily need it to happen because it's, it's going off book at that point.

[00:26:29] Right?

[00:26:29] Like, you know, they, they didn't really kind of expand on this and in any of the books,

[00:26:32] it kind of ends where it ends and supposed to be ambiguous.

[00:26:35] Um, the new story that they're doing is something cause remember there's alternate endings.

[00:26:41] Uh, it was almost like a choose your own ending with, uh, with, with that movie.

[00:26:45] Whatever.

[00:26:46] Right?

[00:26:47] So there's an ending where you can tell I am not.

[00:26:50] Well, I'm saying there's, there's, there's an, there's an ending where, where, where spoilers.

[00:26:54] Will Smith dies.

[00:26:55] There's an ending where he doesn't die.

[00:26:56] Uh, and what it is is if they're doing a second movie, that means they have to, uh, verify and, and confirm one canon ending.

[00:27:06] I see.

[00:27:07] Yeah, no, no, no, no.

[00:27:07] I see.

[00:27:08] This is, you know, when we asked that question, what is a movie sequel that should never be made?

[00:27:14] This is my answer.

[00:27:16] This, this is the, oh, there we go.

[00:27:17] This, this is the.

[00:27:18] Yeah.

[00:27:19] I don't know why.

[00:27:19] This is my answer.

[00:27:21] This right here.

[00:27:22] This, this movie right here.

[00:27:24] Here.

[00:27:25] Should never have a fricking sequel.

[00:27:26] There you go.

[00:27:27] Well, I mean, that's, that's, that's fine.

[00:27:29] That's it.

[00:27:31] You're like, you don't know what to say.

[00:27:33] No, because I'm.

[00:27:34] You've never heard me do this.

[00:27:35] No, like, like my whole thing is, I don't know how I feel about this.

[00:27:39] I don't know if it's like, it's, it's, I'm, I'm indifferent.

[00:27:41] You know what I mean?

[00:27:42] Like, I, I don't care if we get one.

[00:27:44] If we do get one, I'm probably going to wait till it hits DVD anyways.

[00:27:48] Streaming.

[00:27:48] Sorry.

[00:27:49] Streaming.

[00:27:49] So I'm with Jack.

[00:27:51] He's just going to go around and slap all his enemies.

[00:27:54] I mean, that would be a better movie.

[00:27:56] Hands down.

[00:27:56] I think so too.

[00:27:57] Keep my wife flush out of your damn mouth.

[00:27:59] Hands down.

[00:28:01] Remember they're technically not, uh, zombies.

[00:28:04] They're technically vampires.

[00:28:05] It's weird.

[00:28:06] Yeah.

[00:28:06] Keep my wife's blood out of your damn mouth.

[00:28:09] And speaking of movie sequels, we do want to be made.

[00:28:12] We have Brave New Hulk.

[00:28:15] Captain America, Brave New World star, Anthony Mackie has just revealed a big plot point in the movie during an entertainment with Entertainment Weekly.

[00:28:22] During an entertainment, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con.

[00:28:25] That is entertainment.

[00:28:26] So I mean.

[00:28:27] Yes.

[00:28:27] During an entertainment interview with Weekly at Comic-Con.

[00:28:30] He, as he was talking about the movie, the actor mentioned that multiple Hulks will appear in the film.

[00:28:35] We already knew that Harrison Ford's president, Thunderbolt Ross, would transform into Red Hulk, but we can now expect to see even more Hulks.

[00:28:42] We're getting a red sheet Hulk, everybody!

[00:28:45] Mackie said,

[00:28:46] The events of Hulk and his film don't pertain to this movie at all.

[00:28:48] And when he shows up, not Red Hulk, the other Hulk, they're multiple Hulks.

[00:28:51] Okay.

[00:28:52] We don't have anything else.

[00:28:53] But Anthony Mackie, you know, Tom Holland needs to come back and just razz Anthony Mackie for that.

[00:29:00] I know.

[00:29:01] That was a slip up that needed to not happen.

[00:29:04] And if Benedict Cumberbatch had been there with Anthony Mackie, it wouldn't have happened.

[00:29:08] Captain America, Brave New World opens in U.S. theaters on February 14th of 2025.

[00:29:13] What is it about Hulks and just giving away spoilers?

[00:29:16] Yeah.

[00:29:17] You know what?

[00:29:17] Yeah, you're right.

[00:29:18] Ruffalo.

[00:29:19] Ruffalo gives away spoilers all the time.

[00:29:21] He's a Sith.

[00:29:22] He did.

[00:29:22] Don't tell Ruffalo anything.

[00:29:24] Apparently, you're right.

[00:29:26] It did.

[00:29:26] I think Ruffalo's going to be in it.

[00:29:28] I think we're going to get all the Hulks.

[00:29:29] Yeah.

[00:29:29] I think we may even get Braun.

[00:29:31] Uh, I haven't done the tacos.

[00:29:32] Tacos on the team.

[00:29:33] Oh, sorry.

[00:29:34] How good will Harrison Ford look Hulked out?

[00:29:37] I mean, he looks dope in this picture right here.

[00:29:39] Yeah.

[00:29:39] My favorite thing from the trailer is him going, like he looks so small.

[00:29:45] It's like they're making him look smaller.

[00:29:47] Cause he's like all in here like this and he's all looking at him.

[00:29:50] They also announced over the weekend that Harrison Ford has signed on for multiple movies in

[00:29:55] the MCU.

[00:29:56] So, he must have had a lot of fun cause we know he doesn't like doing shit like that.

[00:30:00] Right.

[00:30:01] Yeah.

[00:30:01] Um, or they're throwing a hell of a lot of crazy theory.

[00:30:04] Edward Norton is in this movie.

[00:30:05] I think he would be smart.

[00:30:07] Well, do they consider the leader a Hulk?

[00:30:10] I don't, but I don't know.

[00:30:12] Cause like, I think, I think it would be smart for us to get a gray Hulk.

[00:30:15] I think it, uh, we're probably going to see, uh, his son.

[00:30:20] Are we going to get a maestro?

[00:30:21] A maestro?

[00:30:22] A maestro.

[00:30:22] I don't, I don't know if we're going to get a maestro just because I don't think they're

[00:30:25] dealing with time travel in this movie at all.

[00:30:27] Yeah, that's true.

[00:30:28] And you would have to go into the distant future to get maestro.

[00:30:30] So, uh, do I think we're going to get Amadeus Cho?

[00:30:34] Probably.

[00:30:35] Yeah.

[00:30:35] We're getting brawn.

[00:30:36] My, uh, no, no, no, no, you're fine.

[00:30:39] Go.

[00:30:39] They've already introduced Amadeus Cho.

[00:30:41] My tacos are on the table.

[00:30:43] Yeah.

[00:30:43] Um, they're just regular tacos.

[00:30:45] They're not irradiated or anything.

[00:30:47] Uh, my irradiated taco.

[00:30:50] No, my, um, green, red, uh, and gray, uh, tacos that, uh, were gladiators on a planet

[00:30:58] of purely trash, uh, are, are smashing into the table.

[00:31:04] Nice.

[00:31:05] Nice.

[00:31:05] Yeah.

[00:31:06] Uh, like I said, they've already introduced Amadeus Cho in universe just as himself though.

[00:31:11] Did they?

[00:31:12] Yeah.

[00:31:12] I want to say it was, they introduced his mom.

[00:31:16] Hold on.

[00:31:17] Oh, that's what it was.

[00:31:18] Age of Ultron.

[00:31:19] That's what it was.

[00:31:20] They introduced his mom.

[00:31:20] And she mentioned she had a child at home.

[00:31:24] Yeah.

[00:31:24] At some point, but I don't think he ever showed up.

[00:31:26] That's what it was is they introduced, they introduced his mom.

[00:31:29] It was age of Ultron.

[00:31:30] No, no, no, no.

[00:31:31] I think they've introduced Amadeus Cho too.

[00:31:33] Oh, did they?

[00:31:33] Oh no.

[00:31:34] No, no, no, no, no, no, they haven't.

[00:31:36] Okay.

[00:31:36] So who was right?

[00:31:39] You are.

[00:31:39] No, no, no, no.

[00:31:40] I know.

[00:31:40] No, it's the, this is what being a female comic book fan is all about.

[00:31:46] Well, I, um, no, he's in, uh, no, he's in, in this movie now.

[00:31:50] So did you go on IMVB?

[00:31:53] Uh, no, I went on the wiki and it says this is for an upcoming MCU movie.

[00:31:58] Oh, that Amadeus Cho is going to be in an upcoming movie.

[00:32:00] Okay.

[00:32:00] Yeah.

[00:32:00] So he probably is probably going to be in this one.

[00:32:02] Wow.

[00:32:03] Wait, does that mean we're going to get agents of smash?

[00:32:06] I hope we do because now we're going to have a crap ton of Hulk.

[00:32:09] That's amazing.

[00:32:10] She Hulk.

[00:32:10] I'm calling it now.

[00:32:11] We got an agents of smash movie.

[00:32:13] She Hulk and red.

[00:32:15] She Hulk both in this movie.

[00:32:17] It may, that would make sense just because we know that, um, that Betty Ross is supposed

[00:32:22] to be in this movie too.

[00:32:24] Yeah.

[00:32:24] Betty Ross is supposed to be in and, and I really think the chemist, like there would

[00:32:28] be really good chemistry between Anthony Mackie's Captain America and, uh, Tatiana Maslany's

[00:32:36] She Hulk.

[00:32:37] Oh yeah.

[00:32:37] Oh my God.

[00:32:39] And you know, there would be like some sort of like him getting up out of bed or her

[00:32:43] getting up out of bed.

[00:32:45] What kind of Captain America are you sleeping with my cousin?

[00:32:50] No, it would be this.

[00:32:51] You're not Steve Rogers.

[00:32:53] No, I am not door closes next morning.

[00:32:57] He gets up and she goes, no, you're not.

[00:33:00] That's it right there.

[00:33:02] Yes.

[00:33:03] This Captain America.

[00:33:04] Oh, that might be the name of the episode.

[00:33:09] This guy.

[00:33:11] No, no.

[00:33:11] So far the working name of the episode is comic-con words are too hard.

[00:33:17] Because there were so many slip ups at the beginning of this.

[00:33:23] That's the working name unless we find something better.

[00:33:25] So, uh, let's, uh, let's move on guys.

[00:33:29] So that's the end of the rumors is what we got this week.

[00:33:31] So, uh, let's get into, uh, the part of the show that everybody is here to see.

[00:33:37] We went through those rumors pretty quickly.

[00:33:39] I know.

[00:33:40] Right.

[00:33:40] There were only two of them.

[00:33:41] But still, I mean, look, I'm real excited about breaking the world.

[00:33:46] And now for the after seeing the trailer.

[00:33:48] Oh guys.

[00:33:48] For the eponymous segment.

[00:33:50] Yeah.

[00:33:50] Let's, uh, let's jump into this guys.

[00:33:52] It is time for the download.

[00:34:00] All right.

[00:34:01] Am I, am I back to demon?

[00:34:03] No, you're not a demon.

[00:34:04] You're not a demon right now.

[00:34:05] Uh, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:34:06] For more news trailers reactions.

[00:34:09] Check out the distance nerdington post.

[00:34:12] Oh yeah.

[00:34:14] Let us know what you're nerding out on or Nording out on.

[00:34:22] That's for y'all.

[00:34:23] All your, all your, all you Norwegians out there listening to us.

[00:34:26] It'll never be over.

[00:34:27] It's going to be a, it's going to be a running joke.

[00:34:29] Now we need to make a t-shirt.

[00:34:30] This is distance.

[00:34:31] Nording.

[00:34:31] I was about to say, we need like a t-shirt with mountains and whatever.

[00:34:35] And I want, we're just Nord's on fjords.

[00:34:39] No, no, no.

[00:34:39] Just Nord's on fjords.

[00:34:40] But then it's just, it's just a picture of Johnny and Sonny's head, like right next

[00:34:44] to each other.

[00:34:45] And they have like sons around them.

[00:34:47] And then the subtitle is Nord's on the fjords.

[00:34:50] Nord's on the fjords.

[00:34:51] Then we make sure we send that to, uh, to our, to our Norwegian, uh, coalition.

[00:34:56] Yes.

[00:34:56] All right.

[00:34:57] Well, let's jump into the first story here, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:35:00] What the fu- Okay.

[00:35:02] So.

[00:35:03] Man, you did, you got the F word down there, buddy.

[00:35:06] I.

[00:35:07] He's dropping them today.

[00:35:08] I.

[00:35:09] They're hot.

[00:35:10] Okay.

[00:35:10] So Michael Bay is an idiot.

[00:35:13] No.

[00:35:14] Michael Bay and former Pyramut Pictures president Adam Goodman have teamed up to develop a film

[00:35:19] and TV treatment for controversial internet sensation, Skibbity Toril.

[00:35:23] Okay.

[00:35:24] What?

[00:35:24] Um.

[00:35:25] Is this one of those early internet things?

[00:35:27] No, this is a very recent internet thing.

[00:35:30] Why does it look like Roy Kent?

[00:35:32] It does look like Roy Kent.

[00:35:34] Roy does.

[00:35:35] Skibbity Wapapa.

[00:35:36] With an interview.

[00:35:37] In an interview with Variety's Strictly Business podcast, we are absolutely in talks right

[00:35:42] now, both on the television side and earliest conversations right now on the film side.

[00:35:45] It's, but it's not a be all end all for us.

[00:35:47] For those of you blessedly not familiar with Skibbity Toril.

[00:35:51] Like me.

[00:35:51] In 2023, Alexey Gerasimov uploaded an 11 second video to his YouTube channel, DaFook.

[00:35:58] Boom.

[00:35:58] See?

[00:35:59] See what I did there?

[00:35:59] I loved it.

[00:36:00] Called Skibbity Torilet, which featured a head emerging from a toilet swinging.

[00:36:04] And Hollywood is back to looking into toilets for its next projects.

[00:36:08] Oh God.

[00:36:09] All right.

[00:36:10] I'm pulling it up.

[00:36:11] I'm pulling it up.

[00:36:12] None of us have seen this.

[00:36:13] It's 11 seconds.

[00:36:14] It's not going to really mess with us.

[00:36:18] Skibbity Torilet.

[00:36:20] I mean, but I mean, will we ever be able to get out of our head after that?

[00:36:23] Probably not.

[00:36:24] No.

[00:36:24] Sandra says no.

[00:36:25] Said don't pull it out.

[00:36:26] No, just God no.

[00:36:27] No.

[00:36:28] Just no.

[00:36:28] Bruce's friends love this.

[00:36:29] Just no.

[00:36:30] And then, and Chad said no.

[00:36:32] Oh, what the hell?

[00:36:34] Hold on.

[00:36:35] I can't find the actual thing.

[00:36:36] Cause like everything is like, everything is like two and a half minutes long or like

[00:36:40] nothing is like a short version of it.

[00:36:42] How about we watch it offline?

[00:36:44] Yeah.

[00:36:44] We're going to have to.

[00:36:45] There's no way.

[00:36:46] We'll talk about it next week.

[00:36:47] Yeah.

[00:36:47] There's no.

[00:36:48] Oh God.

[00:36:49] Okay.

[00:36:50] Hold on.

[00:36:50] Somebody, somebody, not somebody.

[00:36:53] Apparently Colbert did a Skibbity Biden.

[00:36:56] Oh God.

[00:36:57] And it's like Biden doing.

[00:36:59] Anyway, we're moving on.

[00:37:00] Yeah.

[00:37:00] Let's just move on.

[00:37:02] That's that's not, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna waste my time with the

[00:37:05] rest of this.

[00:37:06] Oh my God.

[00:37:08] All right.

[00:37:08] Uh, here's your cloak extra pointy.

[00:37:12] Last week it was announced that the script was finished for Todd McFarlane's long awaited

[00:37:17] Spawn movie and the net, the title of the film is King Spawn.

[00:37:21] Dun, dun, dun.

[00:37:24] The Hollywood reporter said King Spawn now has a completed script.

[00:37:27] One that McFarlane and producer Josh, uh, Jason Blum's Blumhouse have enough confidence

[00:37:32] in to, in to start a meeting with directors for the movie.

[00:37:36] Uh, the film is set up at Blumhouse.

[00:37:38] Jamie Foxx is still attached to star in the movie.

[00:37:40] Uh, I'm kind of excited for this cause King Spawn was a really good, uh, storyline.

[00:37:45] So cool.

[00:37:46] All right.

[00:37:46] Wow.

[00:37:47] Moving on here.

[00:37:48] Do you guys have any thoughts on this before I move on?

[00:37:50] Probably.

[00:37:50] Nope.

[00:37:51] Okay.

[00:37:51] No thoughts.

[00:37:51] So let's go ahead and move on here.

[00:37:53] Speaking of dead things coming back to life, AMC has released the trailer for the walking

[00:37:58] dead Daryl Dixon season two, which is subtitled the book of Carol regarding season three.

[00:38:05] It will shoot in Spain and be released in 2025.

[00:38:08] The series tracks Carol and Daryl.

[00:38:11] It's funny that they use those two characters, Carol and Daryl, as they continue their journey

[00:38:16] towards home and the ones they love in a statement following the comic-con panel, Norman Reedus

[00:38:21] said, I couldn't be more thrilled to announce a third season and be working side by side

[00:38:26] with the brilliant Melissa McBride.

[00:38:29] And doesn't he have another, uh, Boondock Saints movie coming out too?

[00:38:33] Rumor, rumor that they're doing another Boondock Saints.

[00:38:35] Uh, we made jokes about that in Deadpool versus, uh, John Wick.

[00:38:40] And, uh, that still hasn't come out yet.

[00:38:42] Uh, the walking dead Daryl Dixon season two is set to premiere on AMC on September 29th.

[00:38:48] I, I, I haven't watched it.

[00:38:49] I know James has watched, uh, the Daryl Dixon show.

[00:38:52] Uh, I, I really stopped watching after like season seven.

[00:38:57] Oh, you lasted longer than me.

[00:38:58] Yeah.

[00:38:59] Half a season.

[00:39:00] And I've never seen it and don't want to.

[00:39:03] It was good.

[00:39:03] It started off really good.

[00:39:05] And then just got, it, it, it just really got repetitive.

[00:39:09] No, I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure last of us is the only thing I'm going to watch

[00:39:11] with zombies on it.

[00:39:12] I guess technically not.

[00:39:14] I mean like it was, it was, it was good.

[00:39:15] I I'll give it that.

[00:39:16] Like it started off as a really good show.

[00:39:18] First couple of seasons were really good.

[00:39:20] And then it just got kind of like out of hand and you know, it was supposed to be

[00:39:24] like, Oh, a few people survived the zombie apocalypse.

[00:39:26] All of a sudden there's like giant communities of people and you know, everybody's trying to kill

[00:39:30] each other and all this other stuff.

[00:39:31] I'm like, and it becomes less about the zombies more about the people.

[00:39:34] Right.

[00:39:34] Which that's, that's fine.

[00:39:36] I would prefer that, but it's just kind of like, it just went crazy.

[00:39:39] Uh, James says he does have thoughts, but James, you're not on the show.

[00:39:43] That's right.

[00:39:44] Also, uh, I read the comic, like the first, like six episodes or certain six episodes, six

[00:39:51] issues.

[00:39:51] And I wasn't really a fan of the comic.

[00:39:53] So I was like, why would I want to watch a show that I'm not really a fan of the comic

[00:39:57] on?

[00:39:57] Right.

[00:39:57] So, you know, we all have our own things.

[00:40:00] So, right.

[00:40:01] So let's, uh, let's go ahead and move on here guys.

[00:40:03] So we go from Carol and Daryl to Mrs. Penguin.

[00:40:09] Holy gender swap Batman.

[00:40:12] It was announced at comic-con that many driver locker is set to play the penguin in Bruce

[00:40:18] Tim's upcoming Batman caped crusader animated series.

[00:40:22] Tim said Batman is so early in his career that in the first episode, he's still an urban

[00:40:29] myth.

[00:40:29] And that's exactly what Bruce Tim sounds like.

[00:40:32] Uh, he went on to say, it's not your one referring to the Frank Miller Batman origin

[00:40:37] comic.

[00:40:38] It's more like week two.

[00:40:40] Oh, wow.

[00:40:40] Wow.

[00:40:41] It was like brand new, brand new.

[00:40:42] Yeah.

[00:40:43] Like he hasn't even really got those shoes broken in people.

[00:40:46] Batman caped crusader.

[00:40:47] Or that cowl twisted.

[00:40:48] Okay.

[00:40:50] This August 1st on prime video, not the pointy ears.

[00:40:53] Like they have been year one.

[00:40:55] Mm-hmm.

[00:40:56] So what do you guys think about that?

[00:40:57] It's interesting that many drivers playing the penguin.

[00:40:59] I kind of want to see what that performance sounds like.

[00:41:02] I don't care that the characters gender swapped as long as it makes sense because for the

[00:41:06] series.

[00:41:07] Yeah.

[00:41:07] As long as it makes sense for the series.

[00:41:09] Uh, I mean, in all reality, the penguin doesn't need to be male, female, anything like that.

[00:41:14] As long as the character is a crime boss.

[00:41:16] Maybe the penguins non-binary.

[00:41:19] I think, I think they're saying that it is like straight up female.

[00:41:22] Well, they're saying many drivers playing.

[00:41:23] I mean, I guess she could, I guess they could be non-binary.

[00:41:28] Or, maybe she's Oswald's mom.

[00:41:31] Could be that too.

[00:41:32] This also, this also supposed to be taking place in what the 1930s, 1940s?

[00:41:36] Yeah.

[00:41:36] It's like, if it, I don't know.

[00:41:38] I know very little about this one.

[00:41:40] Yeah.

[00:41:40] I don't really keep up with the animated side.

[00:41:41] So Cape Crusader, Cape Crusader is supposed to take place.

[00:41:45] Uh, like it's an alternate universe and it's Batman.

[00:41:48] If Batman were actually in the 1930s.

[00:41:51] Oh, okay.

[00:41:52] Well, yeah.

[00:41:52] That makes sense.

[00:41:53] Yeah.

[00:41:54] Cool.

[00:41:54] I love it.

[00:41:55] I'm watching every episode.

[00:41:56] Yeah.

[00:41:57] That's all it took.

[00:41:58] It was just, oh, it's period piece.

[00:42:01] Yeah.

[00:42:01] It's like, oh, it's the thirties.

[00:42:03] Sure.

[00:42:04] Bring out those Gans.

[00:42:05] Let's see all that.

[00:42:07] Uh, let's see all those, uh, those mobbed people.

[00:42:10] Exactly.

[00:42:12] I don't know the terminology.

[00:42:13] I'll get back to you.

[00:42:14] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:42:15] Well, holy reschooling of Gotham, Batman.

[00:42:19] Batman producer, Dylan Clark has revealed that a new spinoff series for the Batman is being developed to expand the universe that Matt Reeves is building, which I thought that's what the penguin is supposed to be.

[00:42:29] Uh, the news comes not a lot, not long after it was announced that the Arkham Asylum spinoff was canceled.

[00:42:34] There was also a Gotham PD spinoff in development as well.

[00:42:38] That was also scrapped.

[00:42:38] The only spinoff we know for a fact that is coming is the penguin series.

[00:42:43] The events of which will lead into Batman, the Batman part two.

[00:42:46] Clark said, we're looking at this entire world as it relates to who Batman is.

[00:42:51] The antagonists around them, all the crime that is to be navigated in the city, trying to figure out where all the areas are best to explore.

[00:43:00] The penguin is set to premiere on HBO on September 19th, 2024.

[00:43:05] So it's right around the corner.

[00:43:05] I'm really excited about that.

[00:43:07] I just like, every time I see Colin, uh, Farrell, Colin Farrell, right?

[00:43:12] Colin Firth.

[00:43:13] No, Colin Farrell.

[00:43:13] Okay.

[00:43:14] Colin Farrell.

[00:43:15] Colin Farrell as penguin.

[00:43:17] I am just so blown away by the makeup.

[00:43:21] Like all that, like, he does not look like Colin Farrell at all.

[00:43:25] And he doesn't sound like Colin Farrell.

[00:43:27] And I am totally like immersed in that.

[00:43:31] And I think that this might be his best work ever.

[00:43:33] Yeah.

[00:43:34] It was like, that's also so far.

[00:43:36] And this will be controversial for some people because some people really do love Danny DeVito's penguin.

[00:43:42] But this version of the penguin is the closest one to the one in the comics.

[00:43:45] Yeah.

[00:43:46] Oh yeah.

[00:43:46] Especially the iceberg lounge.

[00:43:49] Yeah.

[00:43:49] Like he's, he's, he's a mobster.

[00:43:51] Like that's straight up.

[00:43:52] Like, yeah, he's taller than you kind of want him to be.

[00:43:55] Cause like, you know, some of the signature traits that the penguin has is that he's a short dude with the big nose.

[00:43:59] But I mean, like, you know, he's, he's, he's kind of.

[00:44:02] And loves umbrellas.

[00:44:02] Yeah.

[00:44:03] He's, he's kind of portly.

[00:44:04] He's got the, he's got the kind of like bird, bird beak nose.

[00:44:07] He's just a little bit taller than we want him to be.

[00:44:09] But I mean, I, I'm okay with that.

[00:44:11] If we're still getting the right version of the character.

[00:44:14] The right characterization is more important.

[00:44:16] Correct.

[00:44:16] Correct.

[00:44:16] Correct.

[00:44:17] The same thing.

[00:44:18] We're like, you know, Hugh Jackman is way too tall to play Wolverine, but he is a great Wolverine.

[00:44:23] Exactly.

[00:44:24] It doesn't matter as much as the characterization.

[00:44:26] Right.

[00:44:26] Um, I am a little kind of, I don't know what concerned, but confused as to how, how long this

[00:44:33] kind of Matt Reeves verse is going to go.

[00:44:36] And if it's going to, you know, mess with some, uh, James Gunn stuff.

[00:44:40] It's not.

[00:44:40] So yeah, they, they said like firmly that the Batman, uh, the Matt Reeves, Batman stuff is

[00:44:46] all else worlds.

[00:44:47] It's yeah.

[00:44:48] But it's, it's still, it's, I feel like it might be confusing for general audiences or

[00:44:52] whatever.

[00:44:52] A little, just a little bit.

[00:44:53] I'm just saying.

[00:44:54] And I can see that.

[00:44:55] Um, yeah, you know, like it's, it's the, the way that they're looking at it is they

[00:44:59] want, they, they, they do want to create elseworld storylines where creators can take these

[00:45:04] characters and create stories.

[00:45:05] That's why the Joker is still getting its sequels and everything like that.

[00:45:08] I see.

[00:45:09] Yeah.

[00:45:09] I like that.

[00:45:10] Say Wong said that Danny DeVito's version, uh, he was more of a freak of nature.

[00:45:14] And then James said that we need a, we need Bridger Tim Batman.

[00:45:17] Yeah.

[00:45:18] I put that on screen a second ago.

[00:45:20] Oh, I just thought that was funny.

[00:45:21] Um, so we go from that bad-ass to, we need to see that ours.

[00:45:28] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:45:30] Bat ours.

[00:45:31] Bat ours.

[00:45:32] This is invincible ours.

[00:45:34] Uh, during Comic-Con, uh, prime video revealed a first look at the third season of

[00:45:40] Robert Kirkman's invincible animated series.

[00:45:42] Gosh, there's a lot of Kirkman shit in this.

[00:45:45] Well, you know, it was, it's a poster featuring Mark Grayson's new suit.

[00:45:50] Hmm.

[00:45:50] Looks a little like some, uh, might wing suit there.

[00:45:55] Uh, there aren't any additional details to share as season three hasn't even premiered

[00:46:00] yet, but it was previously reported that prime video renewed the show for seasons

[00:46:04] four and five.

[00:46:06] Invincible season four was confirmed at Comic-Con.

[00:46:10] Woo.

[00:46:11] Nice.

[00:46:12] Yay.

[00:46:13] I like, I like that they're doing that and yes, they can sell more toys.

[00:46:16] I mean, are they selling toys for, for, for invincible though?

[00:46:20] I feel like somebody is.

[00:46:21] I don't know if they're toys for kids necessarily, but you know,

[00:46:26] atomically correct.

[00:46:28] So we just need that.

[00:46:30] Ask then is what you're saying.

[00:46:31] Yeah.

[00:46:31] That ours.

[00:46:32] That ours.

[00:46:33] Is it, are these more Bridgerton jokes that we're doing right now?

[00:46:36] No, no.

[00:46:37] I just didn't want to do the other thing.

[00:46:39] I like it when British people say ours.

[00:46:41] Okay.

[00:46:41] Oh yes.

[00:46:42] Yes.

[00:46:42] Yeah.

[00:46:43] So we go from one hero to we need a hero.

[00:46:47] Seriously.

[00:46:47] Soldier boy is touching my no, no place.

[00:46:52] The boys universe is expanding with a new prequel spinoff series titled bot rising.

[00:46:58] Okay.

[00:46:58] The series was announced at comic-con by Jensen Ackles, who will star in the series reprising

[00:47:04] his role as soldier boy apples will also be joined by I am cash who will reprise her

[00:47:11] role as storm front bot rising, which was created by the main creative team behind the

[00:47:16] boys franchise led by Eric rip key.

[00:47:18] Making sure that Jensen Ackles and the whole supernatural crew have jobs.

[00:47:23] Yeah, I know right.

[00:47:24] Ackles soldier boy is the first American non aging suit created by Frederick bot during

[00:47:30] World War II.

[00:47:31] Storm front was Frederick bot's first successful test subject for compound B and she married

[00:47:38] him before they moved to the U S the boys prequel opsis hopefully no giant penises synopsis.

[00:47:45] The boys prequel opsis hopefully no giant penises synopsis.

[00:47:51] Synopsis.

[00:47:52] Big old twisty bug and stricter dick.

[00:47:58] It's a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vaughn in the 1950s.

[00:48:04] The early exploits of soldier boy and the diabolical maneuvers of a suit known to fans as storm front,

[00:48:10] who was then going by the name Clara Vaughn.

[00:48:13] That's it.

[00:48:14] That's all I have.

[00:48:15] That's all I got right there.

[00:48:16] I'm interested in this.

[00:48:18] I'm interested in this because it's,

[00:48:21] it's a fun prequel thing where you're going to be able to see two characters that we've

[00:48:25] already gotten, but like, you know, like their history together and like kind of like how they

[00:48:29] know each other and everything like that.

[00:48:30] Um, if it's, if it's World War two, that means we're not going to get like, uh, what's his

[00:48:36] name?

[00:48:36] Um, well, but I mean like, you know, if they're doing it like in the 1950s, you know, um, the

[00:48:42] origin with, um, with black noir was more around like Vietnam.

[00:48:47] Yeah.

[00:48:47] Yeah.

[00:48:48] So that's true.

[00:48:49] Um, and it's cool.

[00:48:51] I think cause we'll get to see Frederick Vought and he's like kind of started the whole thing.

[00:48:55] Right.

[00:48:55] So I think that'll be neat.

[00:48:56] Oh, she's gone.

[00:48:57] And she's back.

[00:48:57] What?

[00:48:58] I'm back.

[00:49:01] Oh, and you're a robot.

[00:49:07] Well, that works.

[00:49:08] Uh, Shadu, have you, have you, have you caught up on the boys?

[00:49:13] Nope.

[00:49:14] Have you ever watched the boys?

[00:49:15] Nope.

[00:49:15] You need to.

[00:49:17] I'm telling him, Shadu, he needs to watch the boys.

[00:49:19] Oh yeah.

[00:49:20] It is on the list.

[00:49:21] I, you know what?

[00:49:21] I did say, Hey, we should start watching the boys.

[00:49:24] And then we have it yet.

[00:49:25] Yeah.

[00:49:25] And he was like, Oh, we will.

[00:49:27] We will.

[00:49:27] Especially after the season finale.

[00:49:29] Now is a good time to get into it.

[00:49:30] Yeah, definitely.

[00:49:31] Definitely.

[00:49:32] But I'm excited.

[00:49:33] I really, I enjoy, I enjoyed that.

[00:49:35] And then we've got Gen B season two is coming up.

[00:49:37] Yeah.

[00:49:38] So there's a lot going on.

[00:49:39] Yeah.

[00:49:39] It's going to be great.

[00:49:40] Uh, stay long.

[00:49:43] It's mystery men on crack.

[00:49:44] It's mystery men on crack.

[00:49:45] It really is.

[00:49:47] It's a good, really.

[00:49:48] That's a good way.

[00:49:48] All they need is a fricking bowling ball.

[00:49:50] Yeah.

[00:49:50] Right.

[00:49:51] Right.

[00:49:51] Uh, so let's, uh, let's move on here.

[00:49:54] Guys.

[00:49:54] Showtime was at Comic-Con.

[00:49:56] Do you guys know this?

[00:49:56] Better than skin of max.

[00:49:58] It's true.

[00:49:59] It's true.

[00:49:59] It's better than skin of max.

[00:50:01] Showtime announced that Comic-Con that a new Dexter spinoff series is being developed

[00:50:05] titled Dexter resurrection.

[00:50:07] Michael C hall is set to reprise his role as Dexter Morgan.

[00:50:10] He had a last name in that.

[00:50:12] Yeah.

[00:50:12] Dexter Morgan.

[00:50:13] Okay.

[00:50:14] This series is an, in addition to the upcoming prequel series, Dexter original sin, which

[00:50:19] is set in the 1990s and hall serves as narrator of the series in the, in the finale of new

[00:50:25] blood Dexter seemingly murdered by his grownup son, Harrison, uh, played by Jack Alcott.

[00:50:30] Uh, Dexter resurrection is set in present day and is a follow-up to the 2021 Dexter new

[00:50:35] blood.

[00:50:35] The plan is to launch the series in summer of 2025.

[00:50:39] Uh, so yes, I'm excited for this.

[00:50:42] I love Dexter.

[00:50:43] Um, such a great series and Michael C hall, Michael C hall had a nice high until cancer

[00:50:49] said, fuck off.

[00:50:50] I'm happy.

[00:50:51] He's in remission though.

[00:50:52] Not going to watch it.

[00:50:53] It's it's good.

[00:50:53] It's really good.

[00:50:54] What's not good about a murderer that hides his murders with being a forensic, uh, blood

[00:50:59] splatter analysis.

[00:51:00] I just wasn't, you know, I had gotten really annoyed with them after six feet under, like

[00:51:05] cause I watched all of six feet under Michael C hall.

[00:51:08] Yeah.

[00:51:08] And because of that, I was like, I'm not watching Dexter.

[00:51:11] So I just never watched it.

[00:51:13] And now I feel like I'm, I've been down that road so long that I'm not going to go back.

[00:51:17] Yeah.

[00:51:17] The weirdness of, uh, him marrying the person who plays his sister in the movie and divorcing

[00:51:22] later.

[00:51:22] But I mean, so yeah, it's just, you know, uh, okay.

[00:51:27] So that's, if that's the thoughts I'm, I'm assuming she do never watched Dexter too.

[00:51:31] No, he did not.

[00:51:31] All right.

[00:51:32] Well then we will move on.

[00:51:33] So we're rolling out some transformers.

[00:51:39] One news during what during the transformers one panel at comic-con.

[00:51:46] It was the best I could do.

[00:51:47] Okay.

[00:51:47] So a clip was shared by feature, uh, that featured stars scream and it was teased his

[00:51:53] story arc with Megatron.

[00:51:55] The clip featured the first time we heard stars scream speak and his voice sound very

[00:51:59] familiar.

[00:52:00] It was confirmed at the end of the clip.

[00:52:02] That fan favorite villain is voiced by Steve Buscemi.

[00:52:06] Uh, I, I, Steve Buscemi is amazing.

[00:52:11] And I want to know if he's just playing star scream as Steve Buscemi or if he's actually

[00:52:16] doing a voice.

[00:52:17] Oh, I'm betting.

[00:52:18] He's just doing Steve, which I think that'd be hilarious is to hear Steve Buscemi as star

[00:52:22] scream.

[00:52:23] So in the clip, the main characters are captured by the Cybertronian high guard.

[00:52:27] But when star scream orders the four characters to kneel to him, D 16, AKA Megatron refuses.

[00:52:34] So the two end up getting in a, in their fist fight with each other and D 16 pretty much kicks

[00:52:40] his ass.

[00:52:40] And in the process damages star screams voice.

[00:52:43] Oh, so that's what it is.

[00:52:45] So he basically like punches him in the throat and he starts sounding like a whiny little

[00:52:48] bitch from, from then on.

[00:52:49] Yeah, basically.

[00:52:50] Yeah.

[00:52:51] Megatron.

[00:52:52] Yep.

[00:52:53] I would never betray you.

[00:52:57] Uh, that is the first time I have ever tried a star scream and that wasn't half bad.

[00:53:02] It wasn't.

[00:53:03] No, no, no.

[00:53:04] Definitely.

[00:53:04] You know, your, your star scream.

[00:53:07] Yeah.

[00:53:07] Uh, you did a little Christopher Walken there.

[00:53:10] Uh, and then Steve, Steve Blum for, uh, his favorite VA for, uh, star scream.

[00:53:15] I love Steve Blum as a star scream.

[00:53:17] It's actually pretty good.

[00:53:18] The whole thing is.

[00:53:19] Transformer one rolls out in theaters on September 20th.

[00:53:22] I was just about to say that.

[00:53:23] Thank you so much.

[00:53:25] And from, I am, I am actually, uh, excited to watch this movie cause it, it, it seems

[00:53:31] more and more fun.

[00:53:32] The more we find out about it.

[00:53:33] So.

[00:53:34] And from above the sky to under the sea, the best I'm going to do who lives in an X-wing

[00:53:42] Under the swamp.

[00:53:43] Oh Mark.

[00:53:44] Mark Hamill.

[00:53:48] To celebrate a quarter century of SpongeBob Squarepants, the Nickelodeon showed up at

[00:53:52] Hall H. at San Diego, Cowboy Now and delivered an epic panel.

[00:53:57] Fan favorite Star Wars actor Mark Hamill made a surprise appearance to reveal that he'd be voicing the Flying Dutchman in the upcoming fourth SpongeBob film.

[00:54:05] I should do.

[00:54:07] I don't think I could do any SpongeBob voices.

[00:54:10] What do you mean you can't do any SpongeBob voices?

[00:54:12] That's pretty good.

[00:54:14] That's pretty good.

[00:54:16] I can do SpongeBob.

[00:54:17] I can do a halfway SpongeBob, but I can do a pretty good Patrick.

[00:54:21] Yeah, you're a pretty good Patrick.

[00:54:23] Meow.

[00:54:24] There you go.

[00:54:25] That's a good one.

[00:54:26] It's the SpongeBob.

[00:54:31] SpongeBob movie, The Search for Squarepants, is due to come out in 2025.

[00:54:36] Did you guys see?

[00:54:38] Okay, that actually was a really good Gary right there.

[00:54:41] Oh, I can do Mermaid Man, actually.

[00:54:47] Mermaid Man, what are you doing?

[00:54:48] No, I can't.

[00:54:50] Mermaid Man, what are you doing?

[00:54:52] Dang.

[00:54:54] No, did you guys actually see the Hall H, at least the panel for that when they announced Mark Hamill was in the movie?

[00:55:00] Nope.

[00:55:00] No.

[00:55:00] I did see the Harrison Ford when he came out, but I didn't get to see Mark Hamill.

[00:55:05] So Tom Kenny...

[00:55:05] Holy shit!

[00:55:06] Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford were both at San Diego Comic-Con at the same time.

[00:55:10] I know, right?

[00:55:11] Right.

[00:55:12] So, so...

[00:55:12] And if they met, you know, Harrison Ford just cursed him out and left.

[00:55:16] But, you know...

[00:55:17] So Tom Kenny is on stage announcing...

[00:55:21] Like, he was announcing something when he was doing it in the SpongeBob voice.

[00:55:24] And they say, oh, and we got a new actor to play the Flying Dutchman, right?

[00:55:30] And he goes, do you guys know a little actor named Mark Hamill?

[00:55:33] And he comes out on stage.

[00:55:35] Everybody goes nuts.

[00:55:36] And he tells him to do, to say something as the Flying Dutchman.

[00:55:39] And Mark Hamill does the Flying Dutchman on stage, so...

[00:55:41] Oh, that was awesome.

[00:55:42] Which he sounds exactly like the one from the cartoon anyways, so...

[00:55:45] Nice.

[00:55:46] All right.

[00:55:46] I'm in.

[00:55:47] I have not been caught up with SpongeBob for a while.

[00:55:50] I haven't.

[00:55:54] I haven't been caught up in it either.

[00:55:56] But I am excited for it.

[00:55:57] I haven't...

[00:55:58] I haven't watched the last, like, two SpongeBob movies.

[00:56:01] But, I mean, it's not like I can just sit down for a night and turn them on on Paramount+.

[00:56:05] Right.

[00:56:06] Exactly.

[00:56:07] Right.

[00:56:07] So, let's go ahead and move on to the next story here, unless you guys have any other comments.

[00:56:12] So, what is...

[00:56:13] What profession really needs sponges a lot?

[00:56:17] Doctors.

[00:56:18] That's who.

[00:56:19] Doctors.

[00:56:20] Doctors.

[00:56:20] Doctors.

[00:56:21] That's who.

[00:56:22] An ancient aquatic alien species, but, you know.

[00:56:24] The Gallifrey and Doctors need SpongeBob stat.

[00:56:28] All right.

[00:56:29] Disney and BBC recently announced a new Doctor Who spinoff series at Comic-Con titled The War

[00:56:36] Between the Land and the Sea.

[00:56:40] This is a five-part series that stars Russell Tobey and Gugu Mumbata-Raw.

[00:56:45] Close enough.

[00:56:45] Close enough.

[00:56:47] She's the one that played...

[00:56:48] She was in Loki.

[00:56:50] Yes.

[00:56:51] She was...

[00:56:52] Oh, her!

[00:56:53] Yeah.

[00:56:53] Okay.

[00:56:54] Yeah.

[00:56:54] Alongside returning Doctor Who cast members, Gemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

[00:57:00] Oh, I love her as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

[00:57:02] Oh, yeah.

[00:57:03] And Alexander Devriant as Colonel Ibrahim.

[00:57:07] Ibrahim.

[00:57:08] Ibrahim.

[00:57:08] Ibrahim.

[00:57:09] It's funny because I look at that name and I just want to say deviant.

[00:57:12] Right.

[00:57:13] And it's not as like devriant.

[00:57:15] Alexander's a deviant.

[00:57:16] Deviant.

[00:57:17] Alex Deviant.

[00:57:19] That's his name.

[00:57:19] Alex Deviant.

[00:57:20] In the series, when a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing

[00:57:26] themselves to humanity, an international crisis is triggered.

[00:57:30] With the entire population at risk, UNIT steps into action as the land and sea wage war.

[00:57:38] I love UNIT stuff.

[00:57:42] Starring Jason Momoa.

[00:57:42] The series also features the triumphant return of the Sea Devils, classic Doctor Who villains

[00:57:47] first seen in 1972.

[00:57:50] That's cool.

[00:57:51] Project begins shooting next month.

[00:57:53] Also starring Jason Momoa.

[00:57:54] Jason Momoa is definitely going to be in this.

[00:57:57] Yeah.

[00:57:57] He plays the head sea guard thing thingy thing.

[00:58:01] He plays Khal Drogo.

[00:58:03] He plays Khal Drogo.

[00:58:04] He's Khal Drogo.

[00:58:05] Oh, God.

[00:58:07] Any other comments on this, guys?

[00:58:10] No, that sounds awesome.

[00:58:11] Not really.

[00:58:11] I think it's...

[00:58:12] I mean, it sounds cool.

[00:58:13] I think it's going to be neat.

[00:58:14] I love that they've got Gemma Redgrave.

[00:58:17] She does...

[00:58:17] She has done a really good job as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

[00:58:20] She's that person that's really British, upper-crust British.

[00:58:25] Almost as weird as Rebecca in Ted Lasso.

[00:58:29] But she's way more straight-laced until somebody messes with her crew and then she goes all bitch

[00:58:37] boss.

[00:58:37] Gotcha.

[00:58:38] Or boss bitch.

[00:58:39] No, boss bitch.

[00:58:39] She goes all boss bitch.

[00:58:40] That's what she goes to.

[00:58:41] Yeah.

[00:58:42] And I was kind of familiar with the Sea Devils.

[00:58:44] I loved the idea of the Silurians and all of that, where it's this...

[00:58:49] They're not exactly aliens.

[00:58:50] It's like a different sentient species on Earth.

[00:58:53] So, yeah.

[00:58:54] No, I think it's a really interesting concept.

[00:58:56] And I love, is this actually what they're supposed to look like?

[00:58:58] Yeah, I think so.

[00:58:59] I mean, they look amazing.

[00:59:01] Yeah, they look really cool.

[00:59:02] They look kind of turtle-like.

[00:59:03] They do look kind of turtley.

[00:59:04] Yeah, anyway.

[00:59:05] Do I not look turtley enough for the Turtle Club?

[00:59:07] Turtle, turtle.

[00:59:08] Yeah.

[00:59:09] The Long Family Cosplay, aka Jeff, saying,

[00:59:12] Rick Sanchez told you not to touch the fucking oceans.

[00:59:15] I know.

[00:59:16] Oh, my God.

[00:59:17] That is like one of my favorite, all-time favorites.

[00:59:19] It's like, what?

[00:59:20] He's like...

[00:59:25] Well, let's go ahead and move on here.

[00:59:28] I'm actually stupid excited for this,

[00:59:31] because our friends always come through.

[00:59:34] Netflix's The Toys That Made Us series will return

[00:59:37] for season four and season five.

[00:59:39] The announcement came five years after the third season arrived

[00:59:42] on the streaming series.

[00:59:43] I know, right?

[00:59:44] The announcement was made at Comic-Con over the weekend

[00:59:46] by series creator and guest and friend of the show,

[00:59:50] Brian Volkweiss and his team.

[00:59:52] I love Brian.

[00:59:52] That guy was so cool.

[00:59:53] Yeah.

[00:59:54] They also announced the toy brands that will be covered

[00:59:56] in the seasons.

[00:59:58] Ghostbusters, Hot Wheels, Fast Food Toys,

[01:00:01] Pokemon, Polly Pocket Superhero Toys,

[01:00:05] Nerf, American Greetings,

[01:00:07] so specifically Strawberry Shortcake,

[01:00:09] Mad Balls, My Pet Monster,

[01:00:10] all that kind of stuff, right?

[01:00:12] No release date has been announced,

[01:00:14] but hey, I'm ready for it.

[01:00:16] I'm ready for some new toys that made us.

[01:00:18] Very cool.

[01:00:18] I know when we had Netflix,

[01:00:21] I watched, I think, the first season of this.

[01:00:23] Yeah.

[01:00:23] Yeah.

[01:00:24] It was really good.

[01:00:25] Yeah.

[01:00:26] We need to get Netflix again.

[01:00:27] We do.

[01:00:28] We need to get that Netflix.

[01:00:29] Because they have not only this,

[01:00:30] they have the toys that made us,

[01:00:31] they have the movies that made us,

[01:00:32] they have...

[01:00:34] If you have Disney+,

[01:00:35] they have the...

[01:00:38] Behind the Attraction is another one.

[01:00:40] Right.

[01:00:40] Mm-hmm.

[01:00:42] What was it?

[01:00:43] Larry Hama did...

[01:00:44] Was he...

[01:00:44] Did he do some of the Toys of Manus?

[01:00:46] He did the G.I. Joe ones.

[01:00:47] I think he did, yeah.

[01:00:48] Yeah.

[01:00:49] I met him at Comic-Con here,

[01:00:51] and he's really good.

[01:00:52] Frey, I'm pretty sure...

[01:00:53] I mean, you'll know about this.

[01:00:54] I think Daniel Pickett was on it.

[01:00:55] Yeah.

[01:00:55] Was he?

[01:00:56] Was he?

[01:00:56] Yeah.

[01:00:57] I think he was.

[01:00:57] Oh, that's cool.

[01:00:58] Good for Dan.

[01:00:59] Yeah.

[01:00:59] So, that's a family friend.

[01:01:01] He was at San Diego again this year.

[01:01:03] Nice.

[01:01:03] Oh, cool.

[01:01:04] Nice.

[01:01:04] And of course,

[01:01:05] DeLong Family Cosplay is asking Frey

[01:01:06] a specific question here.

[01:01:08] Oh.

[01:01:08] Is it one of the toys?

[01:01:11] Every toy.

[01:01:12] Every toy could be used as an angry vibrator.

[01:01:15] That's all I'm going to say.

[01:01:16] Do I want to know where this joke came from?

[01:01:18] If Deadpool...

[01:01:18] Did you not watch the movie?

[01:01:20] You didn't watch Deadpool 3?

[01:01:21] Oh, yeah.

[01:01:24] Are you holding?

[01:01:25] Are you holding?

[01:01:26] I'm shaking like an angry vibrator right now.

[01:01:29] I forgot about that joke.

[01:01:33] Oh, God.

[01:01:34] I...

[01:01:35] As soon as...

[01:01:35] When the trailer came out,

[01:01:38] I'm shaking like an angry vibrator.

[01:01:41] So, yeah.

[01:01:42] Well, guys,

[01:01:44] we're going to move on

[01:01:45] to some of the bigger news.

[01:01:47] And now,

[01:01:47] we are moving on to...

[01:01:49] We are moving on to Star Trek

[01:01:51] with Shadoo.

[01:01:52] Shadoo?

[01:01:53] Or, as I like to call it,

[01:01:54] Section 31.

[01:01:55] Section 31 with Shadoo.

[01:01:57] Shadoo?

[01:01:57] Yes.

[01:01:58] So, first off,

[01:01:59] we are not merry men.

[01:02:01] At the Star Trek panel

[01:02:01] in Hall H,

[01:02:02] one piece of news

[01:02:03] that was the surprise of the hour,

[01:02:05] a new series in the works

[01:02:06] from Star Trek producer

[01:02:07] Sir Alex Kurtzman,

[01:02:10] Justin Simeon,

[01:02:11] from Dear White People

[01:02:12] and the Haunted Mansion.

[01:02:12] Justin Simeon

[01:02:13] and Tani Nelson

[01:02:14] moderated the panel

[01:02:15] and are co-writing

[01:02:16] a half-hour live-action comedy

[01:02:18] with the steward

[01:02:19] of the Star Trek franchise,

[01:02:20] Alex Kurtzman,

[01:02:21] who will be making

[01:02:22] his half-hour writing debut.

[01:02:23] No title or format,

[01:02:25] single camera or multi-camera

[01:02:26] or whatever,

[01:02:27] have been revealed

[01:02:28] for the comedy

[01:02:28] in which Federation outsiders

[01:02:30] serving a gleaming resort planet

[01:02:32] find their day-to-day exploits

[01:02:34] are being broadcast

[01:02:35] to the entire quadrant.

[01:02:36] Additional clues provided

[01:02:37] by Simeon and Newsome

[01:02:38] include that the comedy

[01:02:40] will feature

[01:02:40] some 25th century shenanigans,

[01:02:42] odd couple pairings,

[01:02:43] and vibes.

[01:02:45] So, what do we call

[01:02:46] Star Trek hipster millennials?

[01:02:49] I'm gonna call them Top Knotts.

[01:02:51] Top Knotts.

[01:02:53] I have one question.

[01:02:55] Is the planet Risa?

[01:02:56] It better be Risa.

[01:02:58] It better be Risa.

[01:02:59] Or they make a new planet.

[01:03:00] There's gotta be more

[01:03:01] than one pleasure planet.

[01:03:02] I was gonna say,

[01:03:03] they're probably gonna make

[01:03:04] a new planet out of it.

[01:03:05] Ah, maybe.

[01:03:06] I don't know.

[01:03:06] Probably gonna be like,

[01:03:07] just like a resort planet.

[01:03:08] Yeah.

[01:03:09] Not like the exit to Eden planet

[01:03:11] that Risa is.

[01:03:12] Right.

[01:03:13] That's a great episode.

[01:03:15] You don't know that one, Phil?

[01:03:16] It's gonna be more like,

[01:03:17] um...

[01:03:17] Exit to Eden?

[01:03:19] You don't get that?

[01:03:20] It's gonna...

[01:03:20] Ant, go ahead.

[01:03:21] I was gonna say,

[01:03:22] it's gonna be more like,

[01:03:23] uh, what was that show on HBO

[01:03:24] where they go to like

[01:03:25] different hotels

[01:03:26] from like different parts

[01:03:27] of the world?

[01:03:28] I have no idea

[01:03:29] what you're talking about.

[01:03:29] Oh, the White Lotus?

[01:03:31] White Lotus.

[01:03:32] It's gonna be a White Lotus planet.

[01:03:33] There you go.

[01:03:34] That's probably,

[01:03:35] it's probably gonna be close to that.

[01:03:36] But White Lotus is similar

[01:03:37] to Exit to Eden.

[01:03:38] Written by Anne Rice

[01:03:39] was the book

[01:03:40] and Rosie O'Donnell

[01:03:41] was in the movie.

[01:03:43] All right.

[01:03:44] Well, let's, uh,

[01:03:45] let's move on

[01:03:46] before this gets

[01:03:51] all at once.

[01:03:52] Yeah.

[01:03:52] Caravat Plus premiered

[01:03:53] the first trailer

[01:03:54] for Michelle Yeoh's

[01:03:55] Star Trek Section 31 movie

[01:03:57] at Comic-Con, finally.

[01:03:59] Yeah.

[01:03:59] This is a unique Star Trek story

[01:04:01] and crazy energy

[01:04:02] boldly growing

[01:04:03] where no Star Trek series

[01:04:04] has gone before.

[01:04:05] Yeah, you know,

[01:04:05] Yoh gets a joke.

[01:04:06] Yoh will reprise her role

[01:04:08] as Emperor Philippa Georgiou

[01:04:10] from Star Trek Discovery,

[01:04:11] specifically the Mirror Universe,

[01:04:12] as we're about to get into.

[01:04:14] The movie centers

[01:04:14] around the Mirror Universe's

[01:04:15] version of Michelle Yeoh's

[01:04:17] character Emperor

[01:04:17] Philippa Georgiou,

[01:04:19] who joins a secret division

[01:04:20] of Starfleet.

[01:04:21] Tasked with protecting

[01:04:22] the United Federation of Planets,

[01:04:24] she must also face

[01:04:25] the sins of her past.

[01:04:26] Filming will take place

[01:04:27] from January 29th

[01:04:29] through the end of March.

[01:04:30] So wait,

[01:04:31] they dropped a trailer

[01:04:32] but they're doing

[01:04:33] another round of filming?

[01:04:35] Apparently.

[01:04:35] Well, it just says

[01:04:36] filming will take place.

[01:04:38] Interesting.

[01:04:38] Maybe they did like a,

[01:04:40] you know how they do

[01:04:41] those like pilot trailers?

[01:04:43] But it's a movie though

[01:04:43] so that's like

[01:04:44] what makes it weird.

[01:04:45] Maybe it's like

[01:04:46] reshoots or something?

[01:04:47] I don't know.

[01:04:49] Why so late?

[01:04:50] I don't understand.

[01:04:51] I don't know.

[01:04:52] I'm gonna have to

[01:04:52] double check this

[01:04:53] and be like,

[01:04:54] why are they,

[01:04:55] like if it's recent,

[01:04:56] why are they doing so late?

[01:04:57] That does seem a little odd.

[01:04:58] Yeah.

[01:04:59] And you guys dropped

[01:04:59] a trailer for a movie

[01:05:01] that has not filmed yet?

[01:05:02] Do you think maybe

[01:05:03] they filmed it

[01:05:04] from January 29th

[01:05:05] through the end of March

[01:05:06] this year?

[01:05:08] Maybe.

[01:05:08] Or the trailer that,

[01:05:10] because have you guys

[01:05:10] watched this trailer yet?

[01:05:11] No, haven't.

[01:05:12] No.

[01:05:12] Okay.

[01:05:13] I wonder if the trailer

[01:05:14] I didn't know it existed.

[01:05:15] I wonder if the trailer

[01:05:17] is one of those

[01:05:18] like teasers

[01:05:18] with just like

[01:05:19] a picture of her face.

[01:05:20] Like that?

[01:05:21] Yeah.

[01:05:22] Like that?

[01:05:22] Yeah.

[01:05:23] Like what we've got?

[01:05:24] Yeah.

[01:05:24] So it's like,

[01:05:24] it's not actual

[01:05:26] like footage

[01:05:26] from the movie.

[01:05:28] It's just like a,

[01:05:29] hey,

[01:05:29] we're doing this

[01:05:30] kind of thing,

[01:05:31] you know?

[01:05:31] Yeah,

[01:05:32] this is still happening.

[01:05:33] Exactly.

[01:05:33] Well,

[01:05:34] she knew.

[01:05:34] I have hypermobility

[01:05:35] in my toes.

[01:05:37] She knew.

[01:05:38] Moving on.

[01:05:39] Yes.

[01:05:39] And moving on,

[01:05:41] the Lower Decks

[01:05:42] are soon to come to an end.

[01:05:44] Oh no.

[01:05:45] During the Hull Hates

[01:05:46] Star Trek panel,

[01:05:47] we were treated

[01:05:47] with a Star Trek

[01:05:48] Lower Decks segment

[01:05:49] in which we got

[01:05:50] to see the trailer

[01:05:50] for the fifth

[01:05:51] and final season

[01:05:52] of the animated series

[01:05:53] as well as

[01:05:53] an October release date.

[01:05:55] And you can watch

[01:05:56] the fifth and final

[01:05:57] renowned season

[01:05:58] of Star Trek Lower Decks

[01:05:59] on October 24th

[01:06:01] exclusively

[01:06:01] on Paramount+.

[01:06:02] I have not watched this.

[01:06:04] I heard it's really funny though.

[01:06:05] I watched the first season.

[01:06:07] I don't check with a fan.

[01:06:08] Yeah,

[01:06:09] I've checked like it a lot.

[01:06:10] No,

[01:06:11] it was pretty good.

[01:06:11] But we're not getting

[01:06:12] Paramount Plus for it.

[01:06:13] No,

[01:06:14] I didn't think so.

[01:06:15] Screw that.

[01:06:16] Which is part of the reason

[01:06:18] I'm not caught up

[01:06:18] with all the Star Trek stuff.

[01:06:19] There's so much of it.

[01:06:21] I still love it.

[01:06:21] I know,

[01:06:22] so much.

[01:06:23] And for our final

[01:06:24] Star Trek story,

[01:06:25] there's no living longer

[01:06:27] prospering in this one.

[01:06:28] During the Star Trek

[01:06:29] Universe panel

[01:06:29] at Comic-Con,

[01:06:30] I presume in Hall H as well,

[01:06:32] that seems to be

[01:06:33] where all of these come from,

[01:06:34] a sneak peek

[01:06:35] was shared

[01:06:35] for the upcoming

[01:06:36] third season

[01:06:37] of Star Trek

[01:06:37] Strange New Worlds.

[01:06:39] where the crew

[01:06:39] appears to be

[01:06:40] organized.

[01:06:41] The upcoming season

[01:06:42] will also feature

[01:06:43] a Hollywood murder mystery episode

[01:06:45] rooted in Star Trek reality.

[01:06:47] Oh.

[01:06:48] Star Trek Strange New Worlds

[01:06:50] Season 3

[01:06:51] is set to

[01:06:51] engage

[01:06:52] in 2025.

[01:06:54] Engage thrusters.

[01:06:55] Yeah.

[01:06:56] And that's our,

[01:06:57] that was our,

[01:06:58] that was all of our

[01:06:58] Trek news.

[01:06:59] That was our section 31.

[01:07:00] So we were,

[01:07:01] we were trekking,

[01:07:02] trekking along.

[01:07:03] Trek, trek, trek,

[01:07:04] trekking along.

[01:07:05] Trekking away.

[01:07:06] Well,

[01:07:06] we trekked,

[01:07:08] but now it's Val's

[01:07:09] Brave New World

[01:07:10] and we're all

[01:07:11] here for it.

[01:07:12] I am.

[01:07:13] Yeah.

[01:07:13] Marvel brought

[01:07:15] Thunderbolts

[01:07:16] to their

[01:07:16] Hall H panel

[01:07:18] this year

[01:07:18] at Comic-Con,

[01:07:19] complete with footage

[01:07:20] from the superhero

[01:07:21] and ensemble film

[01:07:22] as well as

[01:07:23] the incredible cast.

[01:07:24] David Harbour

[01:07:25] is teasing

[01:07:26] that the film

[01:07:26] will have major

[01:07:27] repercussions

[01:07:28] in the MCU

[01:07:29] or characters

[01:07:30] are going to interact

[01:07:31] with something

[01:07:32] that we don't

[01:07:32] really understand

[01:07:33] and it fundamentally

[01:07:34] changes the course

[01:07:35] of the way things expand.

[01:07:37] That's all I'm saying.

[01:07:37] Oh my God.

[01:07:38] I'm getting calls tomorrow.

[01:07:39] So what you're saying is,

[01:07:41] so what you're saying is

[01:07:42] the hierarchy of power

[01:07:44] in the MCU

[01:07:44] is about to change.

[01:07:45] Maybe.

[01:07:46] During an interview

[01:07:46] with CBM,

[01:07:47] Wyatt Russell

[01:07:48] playing Johnny Mayonnaise,

[01:07:50] Johnny Mayonnaise

[01:07:50] and Stan

[01:07:51] were making jokes

[01:07:53] about Buffy

[01:07:54] washing his

[01:07:55] vibranium arm

[01:07:56] in his dishwasher,

[01:07:58] which we actually

[01:07:59] got to see

[01:08:00] in the footage

[01:08:01] shown at Marvel

[01:08:02] Hall H panel.

[01:08:03] Marvel's Hall H panel.

[01:08:05] Russell and Stan

[01:08:06] joked that it's

[01:08:07] because Bucky

[01:08:07] doesn't have

[01:08:08] a lot of free time.

[01:08:10] Right.

[01:08:11] That's when

[01:08:12] Russell let us

[01:08:13] let that Bucky

[01:08:13] is a member

[01:08:14] of Congress,

[01:08:15] a detail

[01:08:16] that probably

[01:08:17] wasn't meant

[01:08:17] to be revealed

[01:08:18] just yet.

[01:08:19] Wait, what?

[01:08:20] What the hell?

[01:08:23] What the hell?

[01:08:23] And then suddenly

[01:08:24] everybody,

[01:08:24] Mackie and Stan,

[01:08:26] and they have

[01:08:27] given Tom Holland

[01:08:28] all sorts of crap

[01:08:29] for that.

[01:08:29] Yeah, they have.

[01:08:30] The film is currently

[01:08:31] slated to close out

[01:08:33] phase five

[01:08:33] of the MCU.

[01:08:35] Thunderbolts

[01:08:35] is set for release

[01:08:36] on May 5th,

[01:08:37] 2025.

[01:08:39] To be fair,

[01:08:39] to be fair,

[01:08:40] it wasn't

[01:08:41] Sebastian Stan

[01:08:42] that let us slip.

[01:08:43] It was Johnny Mayo

[01:08:44] that let us slip.

[01:08:45] Yeah.

[01:08:45] Damn it,

[01:08:46] Jolly Mayo.

[01:08:47] You had one job.

[01:08:48] You had one job!

[01:08:49] Yeah, I know.

[01:08:50] I don't know

[01:08:51] because I don't know

[01:08:52] how to feel about this.

[01:08:53] The movie's been rewritten

[01:08:54] like three fucking times.

[01:08:55] Yeah.

[01:08:56] And on top of that,

[01:08:57] I know that they said

[01:08:58] that they're trying

[01:08:59] to introduce

[01:09:01] Norman.

[01:09:02] Yeah, Osborn.

[01:09:03] Osborn.

[01:09:03] Yeah.

[01:09:03] So like,

[01:09:05] Norman Osborn

[01:09:06] plays a big role

[01:09:07] between the Thunderbolts

[01:09:09] and Dark Avengers.

[01:09:10] Yeah.

[01:09:11] So it's kind of like,

[01:09:12] I feel like

[01:09:13] if they're doing

[01:09:14] like congressional shit

[01:09:15] and they're doing

[01:09:16] like, you know,

[01:09:17] things like that,

[01:09:17] like,

[01:09:17] if it's something

[01:09:18] that is going to change,

[01:09:19] you know,

[01:09:20] the implications

[01:09:22] and like fundamentally

[01:09:23] change everything

[01:09:24] within the MCU

[01:09:25] and the power dynamic.

[01:09:25] But he's too old

[01:09:26] to be in Congress

[01:09:27] because he's like

[01:09:28] a hundred and something now.

[01:09:30] He's almost as old

[01:09:31] as some of the congressmen

[01:09:32] we have right now,

[01:09:34] almost.

[01:09:36] He's still,

[01:09:36] still younger

[01:09:37] than the Republican

[01:09:40] majority leader

[01:09:41] in the Senate.

[01:09:42] Right.

[01:09:43] He is still younger

[01:09:43] than Mitch McConnell.

[01:09:44] He's the minority leader.

[01:09:46] Oh, is he the minority?

[01:09:47] That's right.

[01:09:47] That's right.

[01:09:48] That's right.

[01:09:48] That's right.

[01:09:48] The Senate.

[01:09:50] So moving on from this.

[01:09:52] Swerving back into

[01:09:54] the MCU

[01:09:55] and out of reality.

[01:09:56] Some of the biggest news

[01:09:57] that we got this weekend.

[01:09:59] Make way for the king.

[01:10:01] I mean, for doom.

[01:10:03] Yeah, that's right,

[01:10:03] ladies and gentlemen.

[01:10:04] During the big Comic-Con

[01:10:05] Hall H Marvel panel,

[01:10:07] the crowd in Hall H

[01:10:08] went wild

[01:10:09] because Marvel Studios

[01:10:11] has officially announced

[01:10:13] that Joe and Anthony Russo

[01:10:14] will be returning

[01:10:15] to direct the next

[01:10:16] two Avengers movies

[01:10:17] that have been

[01:10:18] in development.

[01:10:19] And those films

[01:10:20] include number one,

[01:10:21] Avengers Doomsday

[01:10:23] and Avengers Secret Wars,

[01:10:24] which means

[01:10:25] they have officially

[01:10:26] pivoted

[01:10:27] from Kang the Conqueror

[01:10:28] to Doctor Doom.

[01:10:29] And I say,

[01:10:31] Doom,

[01:10:32] Doom,

[01:10:32] Doom.

[01:10:34] This casting

[01:10:35] was rumored

[01:10:36] about a week ago

[01:10:37] and it was so unbelievable

[01:10:38] that no one believed it.

[01:10:39] I still kind of know.

[01:10:41] Yep,

[01:10:41] but it is 100% true

[01:10:43] and the crowd

[01:10:44] in Hall H

[01:10:44] went freaking nuts

[01:10:46] over this.

[01:10:47] It was just confirmed

[01:10:48] at San Diego Comic-Con

[01:10:50] that Robert Downey Jr.,

[01:10:52] Iron Man himself,

[01:10:54] is confirmed

[01:10:54] to play Doctor Doom

[01:10:56] in Marvel's

[01:10:56] next two Avengers films,

[01:10:58] Avengers Doomsday

[01:10:59] and Avengers Secret Wars.

[01:11:01] Downey even showed up

[01:11:02] at Comic-Con

[01:11:03] dressed as Doctor Doom

[01:11:04] for the big announcement

[01:11:05] saying,

[01:11:06] I told you I like

[01:11:06] playing complicated characters.

[01:11:08] Interestingly,

[01:11:09] Downey Jr.

[01:11:10] auditioned to play

[01:11:11] Doctor Doom

[01:11:11] in the 20th Century Fox's

[01:11:12] Fantastic Four movie

[01:11:13] before he ever landed

[01:11:14] the role of Tony Stark

[01:11:15] in Iron Man.

[01:11:17] So,

[01:11:17] thoughts?

[01:11:18] Thoughts,

[01:11:18] thoughts,

[01:11:19] thoughts.

[01:11:20] Hold up on mine

[01:11:22] for a second.

[01:11:22] As much as they said

[01:11:24] that,

[01:11:24] you know,

[01:11:26] Anthony and Joe,

[01:11:27] because I watched

[01:11:28] the presentation,

[01:11:29] Anthony and Joe said

[01:11:30] the only man

[01:11:31] that can play

[01:11:32] Victor Von Doom.

[01:11:34] So,

[01:11:34] they did specifically

[01:11:34] say Victor Von Doom.

[01:11:36] Right?

[01:11:37] And my thing is

[01:11:38] I'm still holding out

[01:11:39] that it's not

[01:11:40] Victor Von Doom

[01:11:40] that he's playing,

[01:11:42] that he's playing,

[01:11:44] still playing Tony Stark

[01:11:45] just from an alternate universe.

[01:11:46] Yeah,

[01:11:47] I feel like that too.

[01:11:48] Like,

[01:11:49] that's what I thought.

[01:11:50] I mean,

[01:11:50] it's Victor Von Doom.

[01:11:51] Because then he'd be

[01:11:52] playing the infamous

[01:11:54] Doctor Doom.

[01:11:55] Yeah.

[01:11:55] Because infamous

[01:11:56] Doctor Doom is

[01:11:57] Tony Stark.

[01:11:57] Yeah,

[01:11:58] honey,

[01:11:58] yeah.

[01:11:59] But if they say

[01:11:59] Victor Von Doom.

[01:12:00] Yeah.

[01:12:01] I'm wondering if it was

[01:12:02] a slip or,

[01:12:03] you know,

[01:12:03] like,

[01:12:03] where my hope is.

[01:12:05] Because,

[01:12:05] like,

[01:12:06] I love Robert Downey Jr.

[01:12:07] I think he would

[01:12:08] probably play

[01:12:09] a great

[01:12:10] Doctor Doom

[01:12:11] because he can

[01:12:12] reign himself back

[01:12:13] and play a more

[01:12:14] serious character.

[01:12:14] But I don't see him,

[01:12:17] like,

[01:12:17] I don't think

[01:12:17] they should do

[01:12:19] Robert Downey Jr.

[01:12:20] playing Victor Von Doom.

[01:12:21] I think,

[01:12:22] if anything,

[01:12:22] he should be

[01:12:23] infamous Doctor Doom

[01:12:24] because

[01:12:26] the infamous

[01:12:27] Iron Man,

[01:12:27] the infamous

[01:12:28] Doctor Doom

[01:12:28] from that comic line,

[01:12:30] you know,

[01:12:30] it's an alternate universe.

[01:12:32] What if

[01:12:33] Tony Stark

[01:12:33] was

[01:12:35] Doctor Doom?

[01:12:36] All right.

[01:12:37] So,

[01:12:37] story-wise,

[01:12:38] I think they'll

[01:12:40] figure it out.

[01:12:41] Yeah.

[01:12:41] Now,

[01:12:41] what's really happening

[01:12:43] is Kevin Feige

[01:12:44] got scared.

[01:12:45] He got scared.

[01:12:46] He went with

[01:12:47] the Russos

[01:12:48] who have gotten

[01:12:49] hits for MCU

[01:12:50] before.

[01:12:51] Yeah.

[01:12:51] A lot of them.

[01:12:52] It did both

[01:12:53] Endgame and

[01:12:54] Infinity War,

[01:12:55] which were

[01:12:55] beloved.

[01:12:56] Yeah.

[01:12:56] Both.

[01:12:57] And they got

[01:12:58] Robert Downey Jr.,

[01:12:59] who,

[01:13:00] if Iron Man

[01:13:01] hadn't done

[01:13:02] what it did,

[01:13:03] we would have

[01:13:03] no MCU.

[01:13:04] Right.

[01:13:04] So,

[01:13:05] I feel like

[01:13:06] this is

[01:13:06] a knee-jerk reaction.

[01:13:08] The pendulum

[01:13:08] is going the

[01:13:09] completely opposite

[01:13:11] way that it

[01:13:11] needs to go to.

[01:13:12] It's an

[01:13:12] overreaction

[01:13:13] and I feel

[01:13:15] like that's

[01:13:16] why this all

[01:13:17] happened.

[01:13:18] Okay.

[01:13:18] So,

[01:13:19] honestly,

[01:13:19] that's what it is.

[01:13:20] Do I think

[01:13:21] it's going to

[01:13:21] be great?

[01:13:22] Am I going

[01:13:22] to watch it?

[01:13:23] Yes,

[01:13:23] I will.

[01:13:24] Will I love

[01:13:25] it?

[01:13:25] Probably.

[01:13:26] Because I do,

[01:13:27] I think

[01:13:28] Doom needed

[01:13:28] to be,

[01:13:29] I think Kang

[01:13:29] was prematurely

[01:13:32] exposed.

[01:13:33] They just

[01:13:33] didn't,

[01:13:34] they didn't

[01:13:34] execute

[01:13:35] Kang the

[01:13:35] Conqueror

[01:13:36] correctly.

[01:13:36] Yeah.

[01:13:36] And then,

[01:13:37] and then

[01:13:37] everything that

[01:13:38] happened,

[01:13:38] yeah.

[01:13:38] You know,

[01:13:39] but like,

[01:13:39] like my whole

[01:13:40] thing with this

[01:13:41] is like,

[01:13:41] again,

[01:13:42] I associate

[01:13:43] Robert Downey

[01:13:44] Jr.

[01:13:44] with Tony

[01:13:45] Stark.

[01:13:45] So,

[01:13:45] it's just

[01:13:46] kind of like,

[01:13:46] you know,

[01:13:47] yes,

[01:13:47] people are

[01:13:47] saying that,

[01:13:48] okay,

[01:13:48] well,

[01:13:48] what about,

[01:13:49] um,

[01:13:50] all of a sudden

[01:13:50] I'm forgetting

[01:13:51] his name,

[01:13:51] who played

[01:13:51] Thanos?

[01:13:52] Josh Brolin.

[01:13:53] Josh Brolin

[01:13:54] played Thanos

[01:13:54] and Cable,

[01:13:55] right?

[01:13:55] That was a

[01:13:56] different

[01:13:56] universe.

[01:13:57] Well,

[01:13:57] it was a

[01:13:58] different

[01:13:58] universe,

[01:13:58] which are

[01:13:59] now merged,

[01:13:59] but the

[01:14:00] thing is,

[01:14:00] is that

[01:14:00] those two

[01:14:01] characters

[01:14:02] are still

[01:14:03] completely

[01:14:04] different

[01:14:04] characters,

[01:14:05] and they're

[01:14:05] like,

[01:14:05] you know,

[01:14:06] the played

[01:14:07] completely

[01:14:07] different,

[01:14:08] whereas Robert

[01:14:08] Downey Jr.

[01:14:14] is Robert Downey

[01:14:15] Jr.

[01:14:15] in the movies.

[01:14:16] I mean,

[01:14:16] honestly,

[01:14:17] that's who he is.

[01:14:18] So,

[01:14:18] I have two

[01:14:19] thoughts.

[01:14:20] Is one of them

[01:14:21] Chris Evans?

[01:14:21] Because Sandra

[01:14:22] said Chris Evans,

[01:14:22] and I can't hear

[01:14:23] anything now.

[01:14:25] Um,

[01:14:26] I am

[01:14:27] skeptical,

[01:14:28] first of all,

[01:14:28] of this.

[01:14:29] Um,

[01:14:30] I'm a little,

[01:14:31] I'm just confused.

[01:14:32] I understand

[01:14:33] what,

[01:14:33] I agree that it

[01:14:34] was an E-Turkly act,

[01:14:35] and it was

[01:14:35] something where

[01:14:36] it was like,

[01:14:37] you know,

[01:14:37] Kevin Feige's got

[01:14:38] two buttons

[01:14:39] in his office.

[01:14:40] He's got like,

[01:14:41] he's got like

[01:14:41] an emergency thing,

[01:14:42] you know,

[01:14:43] with the fire extinguisher

[01:14:45] or whatever.

[01:14:45] That's the release

[01:14:46] the hounds on the

[01:14:47] people that have

[01:14:47] told secrets.

[01:14:48] Well,

[01:14:49] no,

[01:14:49] it's like,

[01:14:49] it's got,

[01:14:50] it's like the

[01:14:50] fire hydrant thing,

[01:14:51] or not fire hydrant,

[01:14:52] fire extinguisher thing,

[01:14:53] and he's just

[01:14:53] breaking it with a

[01:14:54] hammer,

[01:14:54] and in there,

[01:14:55] there are two

[01:14:55] buttons.

[01:14:55] One of them's

[01:14:56] Dr. Doom,

[01:14:56] one of them's

[01:14:57] Robert Downey Jr.

[01:14:58] He pressed both of

[01:14:59] them.

[01:15:00] Oh,

[01:15:00] and that's how we

[01:15:01] got Robert Downey Jr.?

[01:15:02] That's how we got

[01:15:02] Robert Downey Jr.

[01:15:03] as Dr. Doom.

[01:15:04] Oh,

[01:15:04] okay.

[01:15:05] Um,

[01:15:05] no,

[01:15:06] really,

[01:15:06] I,

[01:15:07] I understand why

[01:15:08] they did this.

[01:15:09] I am interested to see

[01:15:10] how this works.

[01:15:11] I am wondering if,

[01:15:13] because we've already

[01:15:14] kind of delved into

[01:15:15] multiverse stuff,

[01:15:16] right?

[01:15:16] Yeah.

[01:15:17] Regardless of whether

[01:15:18] Kang is still the

[01:15:19] villain or not,

[01:15:20] which apparently he

[01:15:20] isn't.

[01:15:21] Um,

[01:15:21] so I think it's going

[01:15:22] to be a,

[01:15:23] a bunch of different

[01:15:25] versions of Doom.

[01:15:26] Right.

[01:15:26] And that's,

[01:15:27] that's kind of where

[01:15:27] I'm going.

[01:15:28] That's what I'm,

[01:15:28] that's kind of what

[01:15:29] I'm thinking is like,

[01:15:29] like Robert Downey Jr.

[01:15:30] is one version of Doom.

[01:15:32] Maybe he is the

[01:15:32] infamous,

[01:15:33] the infamous Doom or

[01:15:34] whatever.

[01:15:34] And then we have

[01:15:35] somebody else,

[01:15:36] my vote is still

[01:15:37] Killian Murphy,

[01:15:38] uh,

[01:15:38] to play Victor Von

[01:15:40] Doom in the MCU,

[01:15:40] or there is no

[01:15:42] Victor Von Doom in

[01:15:43] the MCU.

[01:15:44] And we get almost

[01:15:45] an invasion of

[01:15:46] Dooms or of this

[01:15:47] Doom or whatever.

[01:15:48] Well,

[01:15:48] I mean,

[01:15:49] you can do Doom

[01:15:49] Wars and I mean

[01:15:50] like that's,

[01:15:50] yeah,

[01:15:51] exactly.

[01:15:52] You can do Doom

[01:15:52] Wars.

[01:15:53] And cause I feel

[01:15:54] like just,

[01:15:55] and obviously,

[01:15:55] you know,

[01:15:56] I feel like continuity

[01:15:57] wise and like,

[01:15:58] uh,

[01:15:59] with Doom's ego,

[01:16:00] I feel like you

[01:16:00] would not be,

[01:16:02] he would not have

[01:16:03] hidden this long,

[01:16:03] you know?

[01:16:04] So I almost feel

[01:16:04] like we don't have

[01:16:05] a Doom in

[01:16:06] 616,

[01:16:07] but we're going

[01:16:08] to get other

[01:16:09] Dooms coming in.

[01:16:10] And so you can

[01:16:10] kind of do a

[01:16:11] Kang thing,

[01:16:12] not really,

[01:16:13] um,

[01:16:13] but you can still

[01:16:13] play on all the

[01:16:14] multiverse stuff.

[01:16:15] Right.

[01:16:15] Yeah.

[01:16:15] I do think he's

[01:16:16] going to be from

[01:16:17] an alternate

[01:16:17] universe because

[01:16:19] there's the next

[01:16:19] story that you

[01:16:20] want to do.

[01:16:21] So let's do the

[01:16:21] next story and

[01:16:22] then we'll talk

[01:16:22] about this.

[01:16:23] Yes.

[01:16:23] Well,

[01:16:24] I was going to

[01:16:24] say like,

[01:16:24] I think that

[01:16:25] what's going to

[01:16:26] end up happening

[01:16:27] is it's going to

[01:16:28] be what they were

[01:16:29] planning to do

[01:16:29] with Kang the

[01:16:30] Conqueror,

[01:16:31] but they're doing

[01:16:31] it with Dr.

[01:16:32] Doom.

[01:16:32] Yes.

[01:16:33] You know,

[01:16:34] and the whole

[01:16:34] thing,

[01:16:35] like,

[01:16:35] like I said it

[01:16:36] all at the

[01:16:36] beginning when we

[01:16:37] first got into

[01:16:38] the story,

[01:16:38] you know,

[01:16:39] infamous Dr.

[01:16:39] Doom.

[01:16:40] It's the infamous

[01:16:40] Iron Man.

[01:16:41] Right.

[01:16:41] And the reason

[01:16:42] I keep saying

[01:16:43] that is because

[01:16:45] I think that

[01:16:46] in Doomsday,

[01:16:47] it's something

[01:16:48] multiversal is going

[01:16:49] to happen.

[01:16:49] By the time we

[01:16:50] get to Secret Wars,

[01:16:51] we're going to

[01:16:52] have multiple

[01:16:52] Dr.

[01:16:53] Dooms and the

[01:16:54] Dr.

[01:16:54] Doom of the

[01:16:54] 616 is going

[01:16:55] to show up.

[01:16:56] Like maybe he

[01:16:58] is,

[01:16:58] maybe he is the

[01:16:59] king of Latveria

[01:17:00] that is not,

[01:17:01] like that's been

[01:17:01] staying out of

[01:17:02] everybody else's

[01:17:03] business.

[01:17:03] And now he has

[01:17:04] to be like one

[01:17:05] of those grumpy

[01:17:05] old men that's

[01:17:06] like,

[01:17:06] y'all need to

[01:17:07] get off my

[01:17:07] lawn.

[01:17:08] Or it could be

[01:17:08] a Wakanda

[01:17:09] situation too.

[01:17:10] That's kind of

[01:17:10] what I'm thinking

[01:17:11] is that he's,

[01:17:12] he's,

[01:17:12] it's more of a

[01:17:13] Wakanda situation

[01:17:14] where he has

[01:17:15] kept Latveria

[01:17:16] away from the

[01:17:17] world and now

[01:17:17] he's revealed.

[01:17:18] And then he's

[01:17:18] like,

[01:17:18] wait,

[01:17:19] the world needs

[01:17:19] me or something.

[01:17:20] Which is the way

[01:17:21] that Doom thinks,

[01:17:22] you know,

[01:17:22] the way that Doom

[01:17:23] reacts to things.

[01:17:24] What about the

[01:17:25] 916?

[01:17:26] That's the way

[01:17:27] that,

[01:17:27] that,

[01:17:27] that Doom reacts

[01:17:29] to things.

[01:17:29] It's the way

[01:17:29] that Doom does

[01:17:30] things is,

[01:17:31] you know,

[01:17:32] he is the hero

[01:17:32] of his story,

[01:17:33] even though he

[01:17:34] is the villain

[01:17:34] for everyone else.

[01:17:35] Exactly.

[01:17:36] Which I think

[01:17:36] is an amazing

[01:17:37] character.

[01:17:38] Yeah.

[01:17:38] I mean,

[01:17:38] that's what makes

[01:17:39] him like the

[01:17:40] villain.

[01:17:41] Right.

[01:17:41] And I certainly

[01:17:42] think this is

[01:17:43] nothing,

[01:17:43] this is not

[01:17:44] bashing,

[01:17:44] you know,

[01:17:45] Robert Henry Jr.

[01:17:45] at all.

[01:17:46] It's just,

[01:17:47] I am,

[01:17:48] he's so associated

[01:17:49] with Iron Man

[01:17:49] that you need to

[01:17:50] figure this out.

[01:17:51] They built the MCU

[01:17:53] around,

[01:17:54] around the,

[01:17:55] around Robert Downey

[01:17:57] Jr.'s Iron Man.

[01:17:58] Yeah.

[01:17:58] I'm just saying.

[01:18:00] What about the

[01:18:01] 916?

[01:18:03] 770,

[01:18:04] 440.

[01:18:05] I'm world wide,

[01:18:06] bitch,

[01:18:07] act like y'all

[01:18:07] don't know.

[01:18:09] We should,

[01:18:10] we should be moving

[01:18:11] on to these other

[01:18:11] stories.

[01:18:12] Yeah.

[01:18:12] So let's go ahead

[01:18:13] and move on here.

[01:18:15] So fantastic news

[01:18:16] or doomed news.

[01:18:18] Seems like fans

[01:18:19] are still reeling

[01:18:20] from the news

[01:18:20] that Robert Downey

[01:18:21] Jr.

[01:18:21] was cast as the

[01:18:22] MCU's version

[01:18:23] of Dr.

[01:18:24] Doom,

[01:18:24] as they are still

[01:18:25] talking about

[01:18:25] what that means

[01:18:26] and how exactly

[01:18:27] that will work.

[01:18:28] We don't have,

[01:18:29] huh?

[01:18:29] Like us.

[01:18:30] Exactly,

[01:18:30] right?

[01:18:31] We don't have any

[01:18:31] story details to share.

[01:18:33] A report has surfaced

[01:18:34] that says when

[01:18:35] Downey Jr.'s Doom

[01:18:36] will make his MCU

[01:18:37] debut.

[01:18:38] So the rumor

[01:18:39] says that the plan

[01:18:40] is for us to

[01:18:40] first meet

[01:18:41] Downey's Dr.

[01:18:42] Doom in the

[01:18:43] mid post-credit

[01:18:44] scene for Fantastic

[01:18:45] Four First Steps.

[01:18:46] Okay.

[01:18:47] You know,

[01:18:47] so I mean,

[01:18:48] again,

[01:18:48] that just means

[01:18:49] we're going to

[01:18:50] get some kind

[01:18:50] of reveal.

[01:18:51] Now,

[01:18:51] again,

[01:18:51] Fantastic Four

[01:18:52] are going to

[01:18:52] be dealing

[01:18:55] with something

[01:18:55] multiversal anyways.

[01:18:57] That's how we're

[01:18:57] going to get

[01:18:57] multiversal.

[01:18:58] They're in a

[01:18:58] different universe.

[01:18:59] Right.

[01:18:59] They've already

[01:19:00] established that

[01:19:00] they're in a

[01:19:01] different universe,

[01:19:02] right?

[01:19:02] That these

[01:19:02] are the Fantastic

[01:19:03] Four from a

[01:19:04] different universe.

[01:19:04] We know that

[01:19:05] the multiverse is

[01:19:06] a thing because

[01:19:07] we've already

[01:19:07] had Chris Evans

[01:19:08] as Johnny Storm

[01:19:09] spoilers for

[01:19:09] anybody who

[01:19:10] hasn't watched

[01:19:10] it yet.

[01:19:11] But,

[01:19:11] you know.

[01:19:12] And no,

[01:19:12] he doesn't

[01:19:13] take his shirt

[01:19:13] off.

[01:19:14] He takes his

[01:19:15] everything off.

[01:19:15] I mean,

[01:19:15] I guess he does

[01:19:19] that's the

[01:19:20] thing.

[01:19:20] Shut up.

[01:19:22] That's a spoiler.

[01:19:23] That's a spoiler.

[01:19:24] Don't say anything.

[01:19:24] Don't say that.

[01:19:26] I'm sorry.

[01:19:27] I said there

[01:19:28] would be spoilers

[01:19:28] at the beginning

[01:19:29] of this.

[01:19:29] Did I not?

[01:19:30] I mean,

[01:19:30] you did.

[01:19:31] But still,

[01:19:31] that's a pretty

[01:19:32] major spoiler.

[01:19:33] Don't throw

[01:19:34] that one out there.

[01:19:35] Early bird in

[01:19:35] the chat.

[01:19:36] RDJ playing

[01:19:37] Doctor Doom

[01:19:37] in the

[01:19:39] Instagram chat.

[01:19:40] RDJ playing

[01:19:41] Doctor Doom,

[01:19:42] not Tony Stark

[01:19:42] being Doctor Doom.

[01:19:44] We'll see what

[01:19:45] happens.

[01:19:45] Let's not assume

[01:19:47] anything.

[01:19:48] That's right.

[01:19:48] Yeah.

[01:19:49] Look,

[01:19:49] we'll just

[01:19:50] bleep that

[01:19:50] whole thing

[01:19:51] out when

[01:19:51] this goes

[01:19:51] long.

[01:19:53] No,

[01:19:54] no,

[01:19:54] I mean,

[01:19:56] there is a

[01:19:57] plan and

[01:19:59] I loved,

[01:20:01] I've enjoyed

[01:20:02] everything that

[01:20:03] has come out

[01:20:05] with the MCU.

[01:20:06] And so I

[01:20:07] definitely think

[01:20:08] that they have

[01:20:09] a plan.

[01:20:10] I think it's

[01:20:11] going to be

[01:20:11] interesting and

[01:20:13] they'll make it

[01:20:13] work or I'll

[01:20:15] never speak to

[01:20:16] them again.

[01:20:17] Yeah,

[01:20:17] I'm interested

[01:20:19] in seeing

[01:20:20] where they

[01:20:21] go.

[01:20:21] Again,

[01:20:21] we can

[01:20:21] speculate all

[01:20:22] day,

[01:20:23] but they

[01:20:23] may just

[01:20:23] take a

[01:20:24] whole left

[01:20:24] turn out

[01:20:25] of it too.

[01:20:25] Yeah.

[01:20:26] And yeah,

[01:20:27] I do feel

[01:20:28] like since

[01:20:29] that we know

[01:20:30] the Fantastic

[01:20:31] Four is going

[01:20:32] to be the

[01:20:32] universe,

[01:20:33] that it does

[01:20:34] make me a

[01:20:35] little bit more

[01:20:35] hopeful that

[01:20:36] maybe Robert

[01:20:37] Dine Jr.

[01:20:37] is the doom

[01:20:38] of that

[01:20:39] universe.

[01:20:40] Right.

[01:20:40] And again,

[01:20:40] like I,

[01:20:41] I want

[01:20:42] Doctor Doom

[01:20:43] really bad.

[01:20:44] I feel

[01:20:44] like this

[01:20:44] is a

[01:20:45] way to

[01:20:47] get Doctor

[01:20:47] Doom in

[01:20:48] the universe.

[01:20:49] And I'm

[01:20:50] with you,

[01:20:51] Shadu,

[01:20:51] because I've

[01:20:51] been saying

[01:20:52] it for years,

[01:20:52] Cillian Murphy

[01:20:53] is the perfect

[01:20:53] person to

[01:20:54] play Doctor

[01:20:55] Doom.

[01:20:55] And I

[01:20:56] think Jon

[01:20:56] Ham,

[01:20:56] but whatever.

[01:20:57] Jon

[01:20:57] Ham would be

[01:20:58] good too.

[01:20:58] Jon Ham would be

[01:20:59] good.

[01:20:59] I feel like

[01:21:01] Jon Ham might

[01:21:02] be like a better

[01:21:02] Mr. Sinister

[01:21:03] almost.

[01:21:04] No,

[01:21:04] Omni Man.

[01:21:05] Yeah,

[01:21:05] Jon Ham has

[01:21:08] got the

[01:21:08] height.

[01:21:09] Yeah.

[01:21:10] And he would

[01:21:11] have the presence

[01:21:11] to do Doctor

[01:21:13] Doom really

[01:21:13] well,

[01:21:13] but the way

[01:21:14] that Cillian

[01:21:15] Murphy,

[01:21:16] like his acting

[01:21:17] would give him

[01:21:17] all the presence

[01:21:18] and ambiance.

[01:21:19] that depth,

[01:21:20] that,

[01:21:20] yeah.

[01:21:20] Right.

[01:21:21] And you need

[01:21:21] a character

[01:21:22] that's almost

[01:21:22] Shakespearean.

[01:21:23] Exactly.

[01:21:24] He can whisper

[01:21:24] and freak you

[01:21:26] the F out.

[01:21:27] Which is Doctor

[01:21:28] Doom.

[01:21:28] Yeah,

[01:21:29] like I said,

[01:21:29] you need somebody

[01:21:30] who's almost

[01:21:30] Shakespearean in

[01:21:31] the way that

[01:21:32] they present

[01:21:33] themselves.

[01:21:34] And Cillian

[01:21:34] Murphy is that.

[01:21:35] Hey,

[01:21:35] I got a question

[01:21:36] for you guys

[01:21:36] about this.

[01:21:37] Yeah.

[01:21:38] So what does

[01:21:38] it take to

[01:21:39] assemble this

[01:21:40] star power?

[01:21:41] Woo!

[01:21:41] Nice transition.

[01:21:43] That is the

[01:21:44] transition of the

[01:21:45] year right there.

[01:21:45] According to

[01:21:46] Variety,

[01:21:47] Marvel is

[01:21:48] throwing down

[01:21:49] 80 million

[01:21:50] for Anthony

[01:21:51] and Joe Russo

[01:21:52] to direct

[01:21:52] Avengers Doomsday

[01:21:54] and Avengers

[01:21:55] Secret Wars.

[01:21:55] Well,

[01:21:56] that's 40 million

[01:21:57] and if they divide

[01:21:58] it,

[01:21:58] that's only 20

[01:21:59] million each

[01:22:00] for each movie.

[01:22:01] Yeah,

[01:22:01] it's 20 million

[01:22:02] though.

[01:22:03] Okay.

[01:22:03] And significantly

[01:22:04] more for Downey

[01:22:05] to play Doom

[01:22:06] in the two

[01:22:07] epic films.

[01:22:08] Yeah,

[01:22:08] this is how I

[01:22:09] feel about that.

[01:22:09] It really pisses

[01:22:10] heavy off to no

[01:22:11] end.

[01:22:11] I want that

[01:22:11] money.

[01:22:12] Yes.

[01:22:12] Yeah.

[01:22:14] The Russo's deal

[01:22:15] doesn't include

[01:22:16] back-end compensation

[01:22:17] but it does

[01:22:18] contain performance

[01:22:19] escalation,

[01:22:21] escalators,

[01:22:21] escalators or

[01:22:22] performance

[01:22:23] escalators?

[01:22:24] Why did I not

[01:22:24] know about this?

[01:22:25] that kick in at

[01:22:26] 750 million

[01:22:28] and 1 billion

[01:22:29] thresholds.

[01:22:30] Russo's will

[01:22:31] also produce

[01:22:32] the two films

[01:22:32] through their

[01:22:33] Agbo

[01:22:34] production company

[01:22:35] banner,

[01:22:35] which is a first

[01:22:36] for Marvel Studios

[01:22:37] as they don't

[01:22:38] really work with

[01:22:39] outside producers,

[01:22:40] preferring to keep

[01:22:41] the team in-house.

[01:22:43] Downey Jr.

[01:22:44] also said he

[01:22:44] would return only

[01:22:45] if Joe and

[01:22:46] Anthony Russo

[01:22:47] would direct

[01:22:47] the Avenger films.

[01:22:49] Ew.

[01:22:49] An insider said

[01:22:50] they're the only

[01:22:51] ones that he

[01:22:52] would work with.

[01:22:53] As for Downey Jr.,

[01:22:54] his deal is also

[01:22:55] filled with all

[01:22:56] kinds of perks,

[01:22:57] which include

[01:22:57] private jet travel,

[01:22:59] dedicated security,

[01:23:00] and a whole

[01:23:01] trailer encampment.

[01:23:02] Oh, God.

[01:23:03] The question,

[01:23:04] does the security

[01:23:04] all have to wear

[01:23:05] Doom outfits?

[01:23:06] Yeah, because

[01:23:07] they're Doom bots.

[01:23:08] Yeah.

[01:23:08] Are they all

[01:23:09] Doom bots?

[01:23:10] They're 100%.

[01:23:11] His security

[01:23:11] is 100% Doom bots.

[01:23:13] I just, I mean,

[01:23:15] I remember

[01:23:16] Robert Downey Jr.

[01:23:17] when he was

[01:23:18] young and

[01:23:19] kind of a

[01:23:20] prima donna

[01:23:22] and trailer

[01:23:23] encampment

[01:23:24] kind of gives

[01:23:24] me prima donna.

[01:23:26] My prima donna

[01:23:27] sense is tingling.

[01:23:29] My prima donna

[01:23:29] sense is tingling.

[01:23:30] Now, of course,

[01:23:32] if you want

[01:23:33] to look like

[01:23:33] a Doom bot,

[01:23:34] we don't have that.

[01:23:36] No.

[01:23:36] But we do

[01:23:36] have merch people.

[01:23:37] Because our merch,

[01:23:38] our merch sense

[01:23:40] is tingling

[01:23:40] because we got

[01:23:41] merch people!

[01:23:44] Is your merch

[01:23:44] sense tingling?

[01:23:45] Is my merch

[01:23:46] sense is tingling?

[01:23:47] We don't have that.

[01:23:48] We don't have hat!

[01:23:51] Because the DeLongs

[01:23:52] have hat.

[01:23:54] Because Bruce

[01:23:55] loves it so much

[01:23:57] that it is now

[01:23:58] Bruce's hat.

[01:23:59] Seriously,

[01:24:00] I have not

[01:24:00] gotten that hat back.

[01:24:01] Again,

[01:24:02] if you want...

[01:24:03] This hat's for you.

[01:24:05] Yes,

[01:24:05] if you want hat,

[01:24:06] you have to go

[01:24:07] find Ming Chin

[01:24:07] and pay him

[01:24:09] at least as much

[01:24:09] as they are

[01:24:10] Robert Downey Jr.

[01:24:10] for coming back

[01:24:11] as Joe.

[01:24:11] And also,

[01:24:12] lick him on the cheek

[01:24:13] and say it's from

[01:24:14] Frey.

[01:24:15] That's right.

[01:24:15] That's right.

[01:24:16] But we do have shirts,

[01:24:18] 20 bucks.

[01:24:19] If you're local,

[01:24:19] 25,

[01:24:20] we gotta ship it to you.

[01:24:21] Just DM us

[01:24:22] at Distance Nerding

[01:24:23] on your social media

[01:24:24] of choice

[01:24:25] and we will get the

[01:24:26] sides from you,

[01:24:27] get your shirt reserved,

[01:24:29] get it sent to you.

[01:24:30] We'll also send you

[01:24:30] some stickers,

[01:24:31] fun stuff on there,

[01:24:32] all the fun merch,

[01:24:34] merchy,

[01:24:34] merchy things.

[01:24:35] James says,

[01:24:36] weird science,

[01:24:37] RDJ doesn't ask

[01:24:38] for trailer and gamut.

[01:24:39] Yes,

[01:24:39] he does.

[01:24:40] He totally asked

[01:24:41] for that.

[01:24:42] And you know what?

[01:24:43] Johnny,

[01:24:43] be good,

[01:24:44] RDJ,

[01:24:45] definitely ask for it.

[01:24:46] Bruce has hat.

[01:24:47] Bruce has hat.

[01:24:48] Yes.

[01:24:49] Do you have to eat

[01:24:50] like pickles or something

[01:24:51] to get the hat back?

[01:24:52] No.

[01:24:52] You know what you need

[01:24:53] to do to get it back.

[01:24:54] I still have a Lego kit.

[01:24:55] I owe them.

[01:24:56] Oh.

[01:24:58] I see they're

[01:24:58] keeping the hat hostage.

[01:25:00] Yeah.

[01:25:00] There you go.

[01:25:01] It's a trade deal.

[01:25:02] It's like Game of Thrones.

[01:25:03] You had to give

[01:25:03] one of your children

[01:25:04] to them for hostage

[01:25:06] and as soon as you

[01:25:07] complete what you need

[01:25:08] to do your mission,

[01:25:09] you can have your child back.

[01:25:11] Oh, yeah.

[01:25:12] We'll just throw them

[01:25:12] off the wall

[01:25:13] if that happens too.

[01:25:14] God.

[01:25:14] So let's talk schedule

[01:25:15] here, guys.

[01:25:16] defenestration, baby.

[01:25:18] God, let's talk schedules.

[01:25:19] Ladies and gentlemen,

[01:25:20] on Mondays,

[01:25:21] we do game streams

[01:25:22] on Twitch from 8 to 12.

[01:25:23] Obviously,

[01:25:24] I didn't do one this week

[01:25:25] mainly because

[01:25:25] I was driving back

[01:25:27] from Oregon,

[01:25:27] so there's no way

[01:25:28] for me to actually

[01:25:29] play a game stream

[01:25:30] while I was driving a truck.

[01:25:31] He was playing

[01:25:32] live action Frogger.

[01:25:33] Yeah, 100%.

[01:25:35] Tuesdays,

[01:25:36] the download

[01:25:37] from 6.30 to 8.30,

[01:25:39] the show that you're

[01:25:40] watching right now.

[01:25:40] We're actually ending

[01:25:41] early for once.

[01:25:43] Wow.

[01:25:44] I feel like

[01:25:45] we weren't as funny

[01:25:46] this episode then.

[01:25:47] What the hell?

[01:25:48] I know.

[01:25:48] We were actually

[01:25:49] pretty funny.

[01:25:52] Full truck.

[01:25:53] Exactly.

[01:25:54] So, the download

[01:25:56] from 6.30 to 8.30

[01:25:57] on Tuesdays, guys.

[01:25:59] Come and catch

[01:25:59] the news,

[01:26:00] the rumors,

[01:26:01] the breakdowns

[01:26:02] on everything.

[01:26:03] We talk it all

[01:26:04] on Tuesdays.

[01:26:05] Thursdays,

[01:26:05] the build.

[01:26:05] We do not break pants.

[01:26:07] No, none of that.

[01:26:09] Thursdays,

[01:26:10] the build

[01:26:10] from 6 to 8

[01:26:12] where I build Lego

[01:26:13] and a combination

[01:26:15] of everybody

[01:26:16] on the screen here

[01:26:17] and Graveyard.

[01:26:18] Interview

[01:26:19] a guest on screen

[01:26:21] and we have

[01:26:22] a crap ton

[01:26:23] of nerdy,

[01:26:25] nerdy fun.

[01:26:26] This week,

[01:26:27] we are talking

[01:26:27] with Mark Scheffler

[01:26:28] who is most famous

[01:26:30] for starring

[01:26:32] in the 1970s film

[01:26:35] Last House

[01:26:36] on the Left

[01:26:36] and then going on

[01:26:37] to have a successful

[01:26:39] comedy career.

[01:26:40] Good.

[01:26:41] I don't think

[01:26:41] this is the right

[01:26:42] Mark Scheffler.

[01:26:43] No, it is.

[01:26:44] I just look...

[01:26:45] Really?

[01:26:45] The executive director

[01:26:47] of the Timken Foundation?

[01:26:48] Yeah, that's him.

[01:26:51] The Wisconsin

[01:26:52] state senator?

[01:26:53] Yeah.

[01:26:54] James,

[01:26:54] I know, right?

[01:26:55] James,

[01:26:56] I have two episodes

[01:26:58] because I didn't get

[01:26:59] the episode out last night.

[01:27:00] I've got two episodes

[01:27:01] scheduled to come out tonight

[01:27:02] so they will come out tonight

[01:27:03] just making up

[01:27:04] for the fact

[01:27:05] that I didn't release

[01:27:06] Monday's episode

[01:27:06] but we do have episodes

[01:27:08] now scheduled

[01:27:08] for every night this week.

[01:27:09] If you would have been here

[01:27:10] at the beginning of the show

[01:27:11] you would have heard that, James.

[01:27:13] What's the deer?

[01:27:14] Oh, they're all saying deer

[01:27:16] in the chat.

[01:27:19] Like, that's what Tater said

[01:27:20] and Sandra asked me to ask.

[01:27:22] The last time we drove up

[01:27:23] to Bend, Oregon

[01:27:24] there was a fire

[01:27:25] that was going on.

[01:27:26] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[01:27:27] Was it the Bolton fire

[01:27:29] or the Bolt Neck

[01:27:30] or whatever?

[01:27:31] I guess so.

[01:27:31] It was a big fire

[01:27:32] and, you know,

[01:27:34] it's late at night

[01:27:35] driving on the freeway.

[01:27:37] There was, like,

[01:27:37] no cars on the freeway

[01:27:38] at that point

[01:27:39] but, like,

[01:27:40] three deer just showed up

[01:27:42] in the middle of the freeway

[01:27:42] and deer in the headlights me.

[01:27:44] Uh-huh.

[01:27:45] So I had to

[01:27:45] hit the brakes

[01:27:47] Yeah.

[01:27:47] and swerve a little bit

[01:27:49] and didn't hit them

[01:27:50] but then as I go

[01:27:51] to go start

[01:27:52] like, start driving again

[01:27:53] the deer just, like,

[01:27:54] takes up

[01:27:55] and starts running

[01:27:55] in my path.

[01:27:56] I'm like,

[01:27:57] you're a dick.

[01:27:59] So how,

[01:28:00] have you had a lot of

[01:28:01] encounters with deer?

[01:28:02] No.

[01:28:03] Oh, okay.

[01:28:03] So in the Midwest

[01:28:05] especially, like,

[01:28:06] you know,

[01:28:07] Oklahoma

[01:28:07] it happens all the time.

[01:28:09] Oh, yeah.

[01:28:09] You actually have some things

[01:28:10] called deer whistles

[01:28:11] that you put

[01:28:12] on the outside

[01:28:13] of your car

[01:28:13] and they make a sound

[01:28:15] so deer don't come near it.

[01:28:16] Yeah, we have a lot of deer.

[01:28:17] Yeah, there's a lot.

[01:28:18] Yeah.

[01:28:19] Well, I mean...

[01:28:19] To the point where

[01:28:20] we have family

[01:28:21] that actually hunt deer.

[01:28:23] One of them killed

[01:28:25] like a doe instead

[01:28:26] and you're not supposed

[01:28:27] to do that

[01:28:27] and so they took

[01:28:30] the fawn with them

[01:28:32] and they actually gave it

[01:28:33] to the zoo,

[01:28:34] the Tulsa Zoo

[01:28:35] and that deer lived

[01:28:36] its whole life

[01:28:37] in the zoo

[01:28:37] because of all of that.

[01:28:39] Wow.

[01:28:40] And that's my deer story.

[01:28:41] Thank you, everyone.

[01:28:42] Thanks for coming

[01:28:42] to my gen talk.

[01:28:43] My gen talk.

[01:28:44] And if you want

[01:28:45] to be dear to us...

[01:28:48] Yeah.

[01:28:50] You can find us.

[01:28:51] Have something

[01:28:52] you want to discuss?

[01:28:53] Tell us what

[01:28:53] you're nerding out on

[01:28:55] and make sure

[01:28:56] to let us know

[01:28:57] in our Facebook group

[01:28:59] the Distance Nerdington Post.

[01:29:01] Correct, though.

[01:29:01] Should do.

[01:29:02] We do need to do

[01:29:03] the pluggable.

[01:29:04] I'm going to put you

[01:29:06] on the screen

[01:29:06] because I know

[01:29:07] your mom doesn't

[01:29:08] want to do the pluggable.

[01:29:08] So there you go.

[01:29:10] I'll just cover him.

[01:29:11] Okay.

[01:29:12] Thank you.

[01:29:13] I am SHG Studios

[01:29:14] on YouTube

[01:29:15] and on Instagram.

[01:29:16] I do short films,

[01:29:17] music, world building,

[01:29:18] teaching RPGs,

[01:29:19] and other nerdy stuff.

[01:29:20] I am also on

[01:29:20] Foray's channel.

[01:29:21] We have a little series

[01:29:22] called Classified

[01:29:23] where we take

[01:29:24] your favorite

[01:29:24] pop culture characters

[01:29:25] and place them

[01:29:26] into their respective

[01:29:27] Dungeons and Dragons

[01:29:28] classes.

[01:29:29] Drones classes

[01:29:30] ended a few weeks ago

[01:29:32] and we're still

[01:29:32] workshopping a new series

[01:29:34] to replace it.

[01:29:34] In the meantime,

[01:29:35] we are,

[01:29:36] at some point,

[01:29:37] filming season two

[01:29:37] of Classified.

[01:29:38] That will be happening soon,

[01:29:39] I'm sure.

[01:29:40] In the Distance

[01:29:41] Turning Sphere,

[01:29:42] I am on the Download

[01:29:43] on Tuesdays,

[01:29:43] which is the very show

[01:29:44] you're watching right now,

[01:30:07] I thought that was

[01:30:07] your other hand

[01:30:08] for a second.

[01:30:09] No,

[01:30:09] those are my toes.

[01:30:13] but okay.

[01:30:14] I mean,

[01:30:14] it's the internet

[01:30:15] and all they want to see

[01:30:16] is feet,

[01:30:17] so I mean,

[01:32:15] or just tell us how much

[01:32:15] you enjoy us,

[01:32:16] hate us,

[01:32:17] or wish the internet

[01:32:17] would consume us completely

[01:32:51] We'll sing the

[01:32:52] Ghostbusters theme.

[01:32:53] Very badly.

[01:32:55] It's a good episode

[01:32:56] though,

[01:32:56] guys.

[01:32:57] It's pretty...

[01:32:57] Yeah,

[01:32:58] I thought it was

[01:32:58] pretty good.

[01:32:59] Yeah,

[01:33:02] somewhat early

[01:33:03] and then OnlyFans.

[01:33:04] I mean,

[01:33:05] if you keep

[01:33:06] like milking it,

[01:33:07] we're going to be here

[01:33:08] after.

[01:33:08] Absolutely.

[01:33:09] That's the whole point

[01:33:09] is I'm milking

[01:33:10] everything right here.

[01:33:11] Really?

[01:33:11] Yeah,

[01:33:11] no.
