[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, Los Alamos.
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Los Anhales.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_06]: We're also going to be meeting up with all the friends of the show.
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Comic's podcast is going to be there.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_06]: good interviews while we're there.
[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it's LA Comic Con's a fun time.
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Just in general.
[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of the guests live in LA.
[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's not like, you know, they can just go.
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not a huge deal for them. So exact. So it's nice and it, you know, they do all,
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: it seems to be a little bit more relaxed than say a San Diego Comic Con.
[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: So that's nice.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_06]: It definitely is.
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_06]: It's still a big cons.
[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, like, you know, the way that the show runs is still very big.
[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, but you kind of, it's, it's a scale downtown Diego for sure.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would say like if San Diego is ester than they would be.
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_03]: A tier.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that like, yeah, absolutely.
[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_06]: They make, um, they make announcements at LA Comic Con the same way that they do
[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_06]: at San Diego. They're just like smaller ones.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_06]: It's like last year they did the announcements for all of the,
[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_06]: uh, Lord of the Rings movies at a,
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah, that's right.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_06]: At LA Comic Con.
[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_06]: We were there. So I mean, you know,
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I think of it like, I think of LA Comic Con as like,
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_03]: like, Baltimore, like the Baltimore cons and like New York,
[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_03]: those level and New York's huge.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm not saying it.
[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's just when it's,
[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_03]: it's, you can't get, like, you can get bigger than San Diego.
[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But why would you?
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Because that things just grotesquely enormous.
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Con wise.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, that was interesting.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, hey, I'm in a circle.
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a new feature.
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't feel targeted at all.
[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_02]: It's in a circle.
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I guess to new feature.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So I was like, oh, I didn't notice this before.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_06]: What's kind of cool.
[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_03]: If y'all don't know,
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_03]: that fills ADHD.
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Now you do.
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, what's this button?
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_06]: The other thing is I'm in full HD now.
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm in my camera.
[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Can now now broadcast in full 1080p,
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_06]: which is kind of cool.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_06]: They just, they just did a whole bunch of new updates on stuff.
[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Nobody, but hi James.
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_03]: He's just nobody puts baby in a circle.
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_06]: San, somebody said you're in the loop.
[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's very on brand for us though, San.
[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, here's another thing.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Check it out.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_06]: So if I do that, we can run in corners.
[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, look at that.
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like old timey photos.
[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I like it.
[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I like this stuff.
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_06]: It makes us look a little cooler.
[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I did it.
[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just so amazed with all this.
[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And easily entertained.
[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Very easily entertained.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And we're both really trying hard to put off this next segment
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: that we have.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that's why we're so guys too.
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_06]: We're, we're going to move into this next.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_06]: This next segment.
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm very, very, very sad that we're doing this,
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_06]: but we've had so much happen over the, over the last week that we can just do it in,
[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, segments within the download.
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_06]: So we set up a new segment just for this week in place of light's camera reaction.
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_06]: And we are doing a new segment called In Memorial.
[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_06]: So we are going to get into this.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not going to do anything too crazy with this.
[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm actually going to turn off the music just because it's,
[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I feel like that would be your stepball.
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like it's, it's the respectful thing for us to do is to turn off the music.
[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_06]: So in Memorial, ladies and gentlemen,
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_06]: we are going to be talking about the,
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_06]: the actors and the performers and entertainers that we've lost over the last week.
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Some of these names are people that, you know,
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_06]: they mean a lot to not only us, but to a lot of the fans that are out there.
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and it's definitely a lot going on.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_06]: A couple of these people were names that we got today.
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_06]: To include one that I wasn't able to add to the list that I'm going to mention at the end here.
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, there's, there's a lot.
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's, it's a, it's a, it's a little hard to take considering everything that's,
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_06]: that's going on with everything.
[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_06]: So we'll start with our first name that we're going to do here.
[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_06]: This one was a shocking one for me and realize,
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, to campaign, Matumbo.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_06]: To come to the campaign, Matumbo, you know,
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_06]: NBA All Star, you know, legendary basketball player.
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you know, to a point where his name is mentioned in almost everybody knows who to
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_06]: campaign, Matumbo was.
[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_03]: He like he was there at the start of that second big man era.
[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, and he really, he dominated a lot.
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I actually, I got to see him play against the spurs.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So that was that's kind of cool.
[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, he will be missed.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I had no idea he had brain cancer apparently.
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_03]: He'd been suffering from it for a while.
[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, 58 is too young to.
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Definitely is definitely so.
[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And like this next one, I mean, I can't, I mean,
[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_03]: we knew she was slowing down.
[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, this one, this one hit me in the chest pretty hard.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a Dame Maggie Smith.
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Dame Maggie Smith.
[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_06]: This one was again, it kind of hit me kind of hard.
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I was not like I wasn't expecting it at some point, but at the same time.
[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_06]: But it hurts, you know.
[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, especially now.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_06]: No, the past.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_06]: She's been a part of, no.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And like she just had like she did so much.
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Like she is beloved stage.
[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_03]: She did a lot of stage productions and she did.
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And she was in Harry Potter course, down at the,
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_03]: who I had dored her and down at the.
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_03]: She did the movie with all of the like her Helen Mirren.
[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Plus she in that or was that just her and Judy dunch.
[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, she does a lot.
[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_03]: She used to do a lot of stuff with Helen Mirren and Judy dunch where they would play older women.
[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And they would get into wacky things or you know, it was just she's just such a set piece of theater and movies for 50 decades.
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_06]: And Sandra Betty in the chat saying I knew her is granny Wendy.
[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_06]: It's funny when we were talking yesterday.
[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I was talking with Jackie and Taylor yesterday.
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And we were, we're talking about, I saw a mean of Robin Williams meeting her at
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Heavens Gate and saying welcome home is Wendy lady.
[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And I forgot that she played Wendy and hook.
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, and that that's it's yeah, she's she's done so much and there's you know,
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_03]: and she also voiced characters like she did it all.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And she did it all with grace and a plom that's all I'm going to say a plom.
[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_06]: So, resting piece to Dame Judy dunch next on the list here.
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Chris Christofferson was another one that hit me pretty hard.
[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was shocked by this too.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I didn't know. I mean, yeah, he was 88 like Judy dunch is 89. He was 88 but I still had like hadn't heard anything.
[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Apparently he has like had such a, had such a such a, he had a relationship with Taylor Swift like they were close.
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. And I think her music like helped so yeah, so that's what I learned today about him.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, it's funny about this one.
[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_06]: I was like, you know, I will admit because I didn't listen to a lot of country when I was younger.
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I, my first like knowing of Chris Christofferson was played.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, okay, I knew him because of a star's born, original with Streisand and yes.
[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And then, and then I really got into his music and I was just like, oh man, these guys are dope.
[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm the highway man that the highway man were good.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, no. He was a really his songwriting was amazing and the way that like he just was really good at the guitar.
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_03]: He was really good for him at the guitar. Like, you know, he knew how to play for himself.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And that sometimes you can have musicians that are really good musicians but they don't know how to play for themselves singers.
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, this next one was broke to us.
[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_06]: It was actually broke to me in a group chat this morning from Sandra Betty.
[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_06]: And we had, we had to confirm this one because she was like, no, it's not real.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_06]: This is, this has got to be a joke and I had to look it up and it actually was reported from multiple sources.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So I always corroborate anytime that we get these names like, is it a hoax or is it actually the person passing?
[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And this one was a big deal because, you know, I had just talked to him a couple months ago and he agreed to come on the show.
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And he didn't seem like he was, like he was that bad.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_06]: But you know, the next person we're talking about here is Ken Page.
[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_06]: The voice of a bookie, he also, he was a Broadway just legend.
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_06]: All over the place when it comes to, when it comes to just Broadway and being on stage, amazing voice.
[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Very, very, this thing in the way that he sang had that very jazz voice to him and he was just an amazing performer.
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's sad. I saw it on Reddit and so and I was just like, oh gosh, you know.
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, oh, but yeah, he was 70 and if he was okay in August, it had to have been something that hit him quickly or it was something that he just didn't talk about.
[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So you seem like he was fine when we talked to him in August and you never know you never know what people were going through.
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And then somebody else from stage in Broadway Gavin Creel died.
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a Tony award winning Broadway star.
[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_03]: He died from cancer. He was 48.
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_06]: This one is particularly sad, given that he's the youngest person on the list that we're talking here.
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_06]: 48, you know, he's not, he was not that old.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_06]: But cancer is terrible and it does what it does.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and so it's just, it just, I just, I'm like, oh, so but Broadway has few less lights today because of that.
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_03]: David Graham, which I didn't realize that he did both Peppa Pig and he was the voice of the dialects on Dr. Hugh.
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_03]: That's like really, I don't think of those together, but he was 99.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_03]: The man has been working for a while. We understand that but still very sad that he passed away, but you know.
[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_03]: They just as star of Peppa Pig.
[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I, I don't know. I don't think he was Peppa.
[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know that for maybe it was her brother.
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to look it up now. Okay.
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I knew the name more so for the dialects.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I recognized it because of that but then I was like Peppa Pig.
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_06]: He played Graham Poppick. Oh, Graham Poppick.
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. All right. That makes more sense.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. Right. Now he's definitely not Peppa.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, no, again, very, very sad. Now this one was another one that I didn't realize happened until I was actually looking up like, you know,
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_06]: that's for the week.
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Tito Jackson.
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_06]: And again, just say, May just can't pay you 70, not realizing, you know, that Mike's older brother also passed away and he passed away from a heart attack.
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it's, it's, uh, age.
[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, absolutely. But I mean, you know, just again, Tito Jackson looked like he was in, he looked like he was in good shape. Again, you never know.
[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you don't. You never know.
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. Like literally never know. And then Robert Watts, who produced Star Wars in Indiana Jones, he died today as well. He was 86.
[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Now and again, just some of the things that Robert Watts was a part of, we're just these massive, massive franchises, you know, he was, well, Star Wars was such a gamble too.
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So because nobody'd ever done anything like that, so to the scale that Lucas did. But yeah, I mean, and then he must have really enjoyed the experience because he went on to do the Indiana Jones stuff and Lucas was involved in those two.
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So right.
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And he was involved in a lot of things. Those are just some, yeah, the larger franchises that he was a part of.
[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's like the most easily recognizable.
[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. Right.
[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Now this one again, another one that kind of hits hard.
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_06]: That I didn't realize happened John Amos passed away who famous for good times roots, West Wing.
[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_06]: He was, I mean, he's very recognizable face. It's one of those actors that when you see him, you know who he is.
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_06]: You may not know it's not a way to say.
[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And he stayed actor too. He did a lot of theater.
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Like John Amos is another one that I just kind of was unprepared for.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know.
[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, even though he was 84, it's like certain people just kind of get frozen in your mind of who they are and you're like, well, you know, they'll never die.
[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Nope. Nope. Nope.
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: So and then yeah, but we got hit by a lot of that this week.
[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_06]: And so the last one again, this is another one that happened that was announced today.
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_06]: This one is more so Jackie's into this show American pickers, right?
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And I don't know anybody else who's watching or listening right now if you're into American pickers, you may or may not know about this.
[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_06]: But you know, Mike Wolf and Frank the hosts apparently Frank passed away last night.
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_06]: That's really sad.
[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's again, it's another sad thing.
[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_06]: He was definitely the color on the show, you know, because he was always finding all the weird deals and there was always in competition with Mike and everything like that.
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Mike being, you know, obviously the dude who, I mean both of them were kind of the start to the show, but like, you know, you always kind of like the guy who you kind of feels and charge all the time is usually going to be like, Mike's the guy who feels like he's in charge.
[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_06]: But Frank was always, you know, kind of like the fun one, the things he was always looking for toys, like old toys and stuff.
[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_06]: And yeah, man. He's just another one that was kind of a sad boss. No.
[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And unexpected.
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Unexpected.
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_06]: So with all that being said, ladies and gentlemen, that is it for in Memorial.
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's give this a moment here to acknowledge all the main names that we just mentioned,
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Rest in peace, maybe all rest in peace.
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, absolutely.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to thank all of them for enhancing people's lives and in some former fashion in enhancing people's lives.
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_06]: And being the entertainment to help us get away from our own lives when it was neat.
[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, so on a good medical note, I got my blood work back and I'm good.
[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I actually just like everything's great.
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm about to change the mood right now.
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_03]: It's really hard to transition out of something like that guy.
[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_06]: So let's get right into it, ladies and gentlemen, we're getting into the rumors. Let's start some rumors.
[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where he getting the nose, but I'm not bad tonight in control.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_01]: All this got some romance.
[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I was got some romance with you.
[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Alright, that's it for that.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, let's jump into this ladies and gentlemen the first person.
[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he should do this one.
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, absolutely.
[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Spider-Man the adult here adult.
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_06]: What a tingle.
[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_06]: What we we love along that was a new rumor claims a deal might be happening between Marvel and Sony concerning our Peter Parker.
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_06]: The last thems of Peter Parker was three years ago in Spider-Man no way home when he had lost all of the people closest to him.
[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And once when was entering a very sad new phase in his life where nobody knew who he was.
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really.
[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I know it's very sad.
[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Tom Holland Spider-Man might be able to appear in numerous projects.
[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_06]: The deal will give Marvel head Kevin Feige, a freedom to fully control the solo projects of Holland Spider-Man.
[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god, that would be such an amazing deal.
[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_06]: The deal will allow Holland Spider-Man to make appearances in the MCU but also cross over to Sony Spider-Man universe.
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So here are some of the MCU projects fans could get a chance to see Tom Holland Spider-Man in.
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_06]: The rumor suggests that the chances are high that Holland Spider-Man could be part of two big Avengers movies Avengers doomsday and Avengers secret wars.
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_06]: He could also become a mentor to the young Avengers like Iron Man Chris Evans Captain America did for him.
[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_06]: So tacos on the table will we get more Spidey in the MCU.
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we're going to get an extra helping a Spidey.
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_03]: My tacos are on the table for that.
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely, I agree.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I say my tacos are on the table 100% we are definitely going to be getting more Spiderman.
[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It is it is much needed.
[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_06]: We definitely need more Spiderman going on here.
[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So I really like the second like rumor anything that the mentor to the young Avengers.
[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I kind of love that.
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that would be amazing.
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Just to see Spider-Man kind of be more of a mentor being a mentor role like that would be great.
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I think we need more of that.
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Especially like okay so if we're getting Peter Parker in that role does that mean we start transitioning over and start getting Molls Morales.
[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I think that might be it.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I think if they do the mentor to the young Avengers like if they go that route then yes absolutely I think that because then we start seeing you know maybe Peter wants to settle down and he wants to you know become you know family man father.
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_03]: You know that kind of thing and I think that could happen and have miles come into it.
[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I think yeah, yeah.
[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe he does me Mary Jane Watson at this point right like yeah you know you kind of get like that whole love arc especially now that MJ doesn't know who he is anymore.
[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, either they're going to bring it back to where she can remember him or he's going to meet somebody else.
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I think what they're going to possibly do is have MJ like him trying like you know like rekindle with MJ but just kind of doesn't work and he ends up meeting Mary Jane Watson in the in the process.
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I could see that.
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I think that would be a cool way to transition to Mary Jane Watson you also get all the families to shut up.
[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't I don't care personally but I think it's great.
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_06]: The whole situation with MJ but again, you know you tend to get a lot of these families that are business but it's not Mary Jane Watson or name is MJ but it's not Mary Jane Watson.
[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah and and it did what it was supposed to do it got Zinday and Tom Paul and together and that's what we all wanted that was the plan from beginning exactly that was the long con Zinday and Tom and we and we know that that's all they were trying to do so.
[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I like you mission accomplished.
[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_06]: It's going to one of the next room.
[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but it's a secret war.
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But is it according to bedded industry scooper.
[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Mity T.
[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Mity.
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Mity.
[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Sir Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as the original big screen pop at the end of the week.
[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And daddy, Prof Charles X professor Charles Xavier in secret wars.
[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I just feel like he's so stuffy if you say professor Charles Xavier and so that's why I wanted to make him a little more street.
[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_06]: What I mean that that is Charles Xavier.
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Charles Davis is kind of stuffy.
[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I know look I'm trying to change his brand.
[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It's 20 24.
[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Alright Stewart made his MCU debut as professor X of earth 838 and Dr. Strange in the multiverse of the
[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_03]: madness to so long to say that in which he came to an abrupt end at the hands of the scarlet witch.
[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So yay and oh we thought that we thought that would be the last we saw of the star trek legend in this role.
[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_03]: But does anyone really die in Marvel or the MCU?
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Secret wars plot details are still a mystery, but there have been plenty of rumors doing the rounds.
[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_03]: One thing we do know for sure is that Robert Gownie, Jr's Doctor Doom, will play a big part in the story after making his debut in Doomstay.
[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Avengers Doomstay arrives in theaters May 1st of 2026 followed by Avengers secret wars on May 7th at 2027.
[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Both films will be directed by the Russo brothers who also make their MCU return after homing both Avengers and Fennity War and Endgame.
[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_03]: So talkers on the table will everyone's favorite professor return.
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely. My tacos are on the table 100% I think that they know that you can't really get anybody better than Patrick Stewart than
[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Sir Patrick Stewart asked Professor Xavier. He totally is Xavier.
[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_06]: That was probably the only thing I enjoyed in the X man movies was he is the closest thing to Xavier
[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_06]: that you can get for anybody.
[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_03]: People were saying it for years before he even got it.
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Because he was on Star Trek next generation and they were like, this guy on Star Trek next generation would be amazing as Professor Xavier.
[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Sir Patrick Stewart should be Professor X make it so.
[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. He wasn't sure back then but yes.
[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, but and so yeah I mean he is it's on it's like Kevin Conroy's Batman.
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Like everyone was like no he's the voice of Batman.
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Patrick Stewart is Professor Xavier and I feel like you know the whole Hugh Jackman's going to play Wolverine till he's 90 that whole thing.
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It's probably.
[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. No, we probably will have him but what I'm saying is like I think that's what's going to have like Professor X will be played by Patrick Stewart
[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_03]: and still Patrick Stewart can no longer physically do it.
[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_06]: When Patrick Stewart can no longer move right even then though I mean they'll just be like no it's in character it's fine.
[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like no no he's he's supposed to not be able to walk so here we go.
[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Who'd be like yeah, no it's it's fine but I can't move.
[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Right. I'm just doing this to you.
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_06]: My legs my legs are done.
[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not done with you.
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, no so my talk is around the tables so yeah we can move on.
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely. So moving on to the next room again I'm very excited for this because we're bringing day walking back.
[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Marvel Studios Blade reboot has been ice skating uphill in terms of development since it was announced four years ago.
[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Four years ago.
[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_06]: The movie has gone through many directors and many writers with the last filmmaker Yon Dimonj leaving the project several months ago.
[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Hope could be on the horizon as Marvel seems to be zeroing in on a new director.
[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, the world of reals Jordan Roomi says that studio recently met with several potential directors and James Samuel impressed the Marvel
[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Samuel previously held in the netlets western the harder they fall and the recent revisionist religious epic the book of Clarence.
[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_06]: It's also mentioned that the latest draft of the script written by Eric Pearson who was the sixth writer to work on the project after Michael Green,
[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Stacey O. Sikofr, Michael Starbury, Poe Demio and Nick Pizzolotto has finally satisfied everyone involved.
[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, and at this point we know why both of my I was probably not on the project as much as Beau would have been an amazing writer kind of got himself in some trouble.
[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_06]: So my personal allie is still attached to the film so we could see it see it meet its return shoot date of November first and it will be rated R which I'm all for.
[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Especially after seeing what Disney how how Disney handles are rated R comic book movie.
[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, Deadpool was amazing. I give them all the rain to do a rated R blade movie now.
[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh, Marvel Disney have spent millions of dollars on blade through the development and pre-production process so hopefully they will figure this out soon and get this production up in running.
[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_06]: So tacos on the table who we ever day walk again or we stuck with more of you.
[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Well I talk around the table. I think that this could happen. I and book of clearance is funny and esoteric and understood the assignment. So I think that I think it would be a good thing. So my tacos are on the table and that no we do not want to get stuck with more of you.
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely not. Yes, say one here comes the gore.
[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_06]: It's it's going to be everything that we wanted to be as long as they get the right writers on there.
[00:32:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and I mean they're still the room or that they're still trying to do another blade property with with West to Snipes.
[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_06]: So I mean like yeah, it's going to be interesting to see you know what how they do that. Do they do a multiverse movie.
[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, is it leading into the rest of what they're doing marvel does this end up being its own kind of like thing on the side where like we're seeing why blade hasn't emerged until now.
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_06]: All those things that my tacos on the table, my tacos are on the table.
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like they're finally starting to move into the right direction. I don't think Disney wants to let this go.
[00:33:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Like you have someone like my her shallot Ali who is an amazing actor. I think he could kill it as blade.
[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and he's so bankable like he's like yeah, he will make money for your studio absolutely will.
[00:33:18] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think that they need to at least as a producer have Westley Snipes involved.
[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_06]: So in that way because Westley Snipes was also part of the development team for those first couple blade movies.
[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_06]: So I mean like he's he's definitely somebody who knows the character.
[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_06]: To and said that he did change a lot for the character he made American, you know, he changed his background story and everything like that but everything he did was for the good of the character.
[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think so too. I still and not have a huge fan of his you know that.
[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But I would like to see you know, he wants to do another blade movie and it can happen. Let's do it.
[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, absolutely. I again the guy is the original creator of blade that they so much so that Marvel loved his changes so much that they changed the character in the comics.
[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and they loved what he did with it. And again as as a fan of the comics as a fan of everything on in that realm.
[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_06]: I love what they did with that character and kind of how they changed again. We're talking about Chris Christopherson earlier.
[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, Chris Christopherson's version of Whistler was amazing. So yeah, I mean, I think that it's I think it's happening because Marvel doesn't want to let this one go.
[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_06]: The other rumor aside from this director was also that Jordan Peel was interested. So I mean, you know, Jordan Peel knows horror he knows comedy. He knows all kinds of different things and he's also a massive nerd.
[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, I think he would do justice to blade if it were him. Yeah, yeah, I'm glad they're I'm glad we're getting information about like rumors about it again because you know it has kind of been in development hell.
[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_03]: So it really is much worse than M.C. U.L. Yes. Yeah, so moving on here. So more we want more on answerable questions that break our brains.
[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I said that to has me and he looked at me like what does that mean? I was like, you know, ship a thesis and he was like, no, it doesn't work. So I kept it in now.
[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Marvel Studios vision series has reportedly cast James Arcey and as Jarvis and Carrie Condon as Friday in the series and they're going to be live action versions of these characters.
[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So they're going to be like real people. Right. So Condon and so Carrie Condon voiced Friday in no way home, right? Was that no a home? Yes.
[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Spider me a no a home. Okay. And Darcy played Edwin Jarvis in the original Jarvis in ABC's Agent Carter series. Right. So that's where and then he was also he played Jarvis in endgame when they went back in time.
[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. He wasn't right. He was driving his death car, right? Right. He was a driver. So it's yet to be seen how these characters will be utilized in the series. But the project is described as the third part of a trilogy that started with one division and continues and agatha all along.
[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_03]: So the series will center on the vision trying to regain his memory and humanity. So it could come to that because like Friday might be the his memory part of it and Edwin Jarvis might be humanity part of it.
[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. So it could be that that's kind of what I thought when I read that so I was like, oh, it could be that while the focus of the series will be on vision there's also possibility for one to maximum to appear which would make sense.
[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean they kind of been connected since the beginning of their MCU. Right. And I mean they're connected to us. I mean like it's all yeah absolutely yeah it was just a little bit different in the comics, but hey you know what I'm right.
[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_03]: The series is being developed by Star Trek the card executive producer Terry Metales who will serve as showrunner on the project. So talk us on the table will we get a new vision or just cataracts from this series.
[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a good joke. My talk was on the table. I do think that they're going to be it makes sense to have them in here, especially considering that vision is essentially you know, a beefed up Jarvis right.
[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_06]: So you know, you get if visions creating characters from his mind and like just things that have been interconnected to him in some way. I mean of course Friday being his predecessor or his replacement and in Jarvis being his predecessor it's like that's his past and his and his future.
[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah absolutely and I think also could be like if they both have something to teach in right and then also James Spader coming back as Ultron.
[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah that's and I could see that this could get really weird.
[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah I mean there's a lot of weirdness that can happen. Of course Paul Betney coming back as vision.
[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So I mean like you know it's there's a lot of weirdness that can happen, but I mean I think that given that they're basically taking elements of vision quest.
[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah you know where he created his own family. He created this kids. He created another version of Wanda we do know that.
[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_03]: He might and they could do that if they just did it digitally like yeah I think that instead of that in his mind and how he sees it will be a human but it'll be like like they did an agents a shield remember they went into the whatever it was and they all were different people and madam hydra was there.
[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Which is funny because now we have madam hydra in in BMC you but like with with all this to though look I like I think there's one of the rumors that we reported on a couple weeks ago is that Elizabeth Olson is coming back but she's not playing Wanda.
[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah yeah so that's interesting. It's it's I'm pretty sure she's just playing the synthesized the synthesoid version of Wanda.
[00:39:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah probably yeah so yeah definitely and and they're it's all about family anyway and I could see that where he vision thinks of Jarvis as his father and thinks of Friday as his daughter and so I could see that right right right and again you know James Spader will be the wacky neighbor uncle ultra.
[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And then we'll have an agatha all along spin off again so good though it's so good.
[00:39:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god I love it so well in in rumors in regard to abandoning your children.
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Mutants always making his weight according to a report from next his point news the release of Marvel animations X man 97 has been pushed back to 2026 and that angers me.
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_06]: The reason yeah season 2 was undergoing rewrites it was previously reported after show running boat of myos fired that Marvel has removed to myos executive producer credit for X man 97 season 2 and the company was rewriting most of the new season so they can remove to myos writing credit as well.
[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Not too happy with that I mean I get photo myos is problematic and there's like things that he did supposedly.
[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah allegedly the things that are alleged that he did are absolutely terrible but at the same time he's a good writer.
[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I hate to get me to it but he's a good writer anyways when talking about that and what scares me is it's not going to be as good.
[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I can see that but then it was good before bow come on just in it but like the way he brought it back and the way that he integrated the like new story lines with you know making it exactly giving it the same exact feel is the original like I'm just afraid they're going to get another writer that's not as good you know what I mean.
[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay. Yeah say once as I do. Yeah you know again you know I'm not saying that we should forget the terrible things that he's accused of right but at the same time.
[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_06]: But why do double work? That's why I'm torn is like you know like yeah you did a lot of bad things but you're also really good writer.
[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_03]: But he did all of that before we knew he did bad things right he wrote so you could still use it right he wrote season two before we knew he did bad things for me.
[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Right I mean he was doing bad things at the time for maybe but new he was allegedly sending news to people so yeah nobody needs to know that or see it.
[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_06]: So when talking about the second season of X-Men 97 executive producer Brad Winderbomb tease that it's going to include two new X teams he said there's many teams in marble that have the letter X that are followed by a hyphen.
[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_06]: I would put it to you like this there's two other X teams in season two probably X force Winderbomb especially because they have all the characters for X force but Winderbomb also offered an update on the process of developing season two saying it's still an animatic phase animation takes so long to make as I'm sure you all know.
[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_06]: There was a great bit about this in invincible season two they just nailed it so hard it is the greatest and it takes a long time because the studio wants to see how successful the first season is before they green light the second season there's a lag.
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_06]: We were lucky enough to get the green light before we aired so there's maybe less of a lag people are going to have have to be patient with us talk was on the table what teams do you want to see in season two.
[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Well I think as Michael Ferris is saying X factor X factor and I agree I think X force yeah those are the two that came to mind for me.
[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I just I want X caliber but that's an EX and so I don't think that they're even thinking about that because like we've got night crawler X caliber could be cool.
[00:43:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean originally captain Britons in the universe he was in one earlier season so we know you have that.
[00:43:10] [SPEAKER_06]: A lot of the British characters that are still around and everything like that means not hard to read into introduce the ones that aren't there so X caliber could be.
[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that's a group that they introduce again X force and X factor really easy to do because you already have so many of those characters right like the majority of X forces already there.
[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah no I definitely see that or they're going to split it into like the golden blue teams like they had there for the 90s for a while in the comics.
[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Well they're saying that they're doing X other X teams so I think it's more than just the X men like you're it's more than just you know those the the the the the golden blue teams I think that they are going.
[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Right which is why I think X factor because X factor was originally the original team right and then X man was the new these right and then maybe they do like new mutants or something like that and we get.
[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_06]: The war and we get deadbolt yeah yeah.
[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Right so yeah again just if my guess we're out there would be X force and X factor yeah I think so I think those are pretty like middle of the road guesses to anyway right I couldn't see why they would do any others so but you never know you never know right right well let's go ahead and move on to this next room or here.
[00:44:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was hoping you'd get to do this one but I will do this one everyone get those customizable ponchos ready.
[00:44:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So good.
[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_03]: According to reliable movie insider Daniel Rickman Cal Kestus is coming to live action on Disney plus yes.
[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm waiting for this for so long.
[00:44:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Kestus the main protagonist from the Star Wars Jedi video game franchise is a popular character understatement fans have been hoping for a live action version with Cameron Monahan reprising the role Lucas film president Kathleen Kennedy talked about the possibility of a live action Cal Kestus project saying.
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen a lot of chatter online about that last.
[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It could be really interesting it's not something that's front and center right at the moment but what's interesting in the company that we do is that everybody across all these different lines of business we all talk to one another.
[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what she was saying there I don't even know if she knows what she was saying there.
[00:45:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Well one thing we do know is that the final chapter of the game franchise is currently in development so when that series ends his live action story could pick up after those events.
[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So talk was on a table will we finally get a ginger Jedi in live action absolutely.
[00:45:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I honestly think that it might go the route.
[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Well no because Kevin Monahan's getting a little bit older I'm not saying that he's old but I mean like he's older than his character is in the games and I was thinking okay well maybe they tell that story of how he becomes a smug at the beginning of the first game.
[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but at the same time we're looking at Cameron Monahan being significantly older than his character in the game is.
[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like if you were still the same age as he was like say when he was in shameless.
[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Right then it might be okay yeah then yeah I could see it being like him being like at the beginning of Calcesta's journey right but I mean I guess it does.
[00:46:26] [SPEAKER_06]: It kind of depends on where the story goes in the third game like if he dies at the end of the third game then we got to figure out where it's going from there it's got to be something in between.
[00:46:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but if he doesn't then you could do something after.
[00:46:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah and again this all takes place like you could easily have something where Cal interacts with the Mandalorian okay so yeah I was going to say hat where is Cal in like in the timeline so is he like after return to the Jedi actually no I think he's before I think he's before new hope okay so he because he was part of the academy is like one of the later right.
[00:47:01] [SPEAKER_06]: The Jedi Academy okay right so yeah he was he was he was he was a youngling when everything went down he was one of the few younglings that survived.
[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So then hit the game series is kind of taking place new new hope it's before you hope after revenge of the Sith so okay so it's in that year so it would be like Clone Wars or bad back here.
[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah it's exactly it's like more bad back but I mean still he can still be around.
[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah I mean they haven't established when when didn't jaren took the oath yeah but it was after return to the Jedi so it's like we know it will not that though but you know I mean like yeah we know he lives in that timeframe and he's supposed to be with him his 30 so he may have been born like the year the.
[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_03]: No he would have been born during like probably Empire Strikes back it's.
[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_06]: So maybe we aren't gonna see across over with Dinger and Calcesta but I mean we can't see Calcesta you know running into say a Han Solo or like a young Han Solo or you know Calcesta interacting with a lot of the characters that are pre Jedi.
[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah I mean yeah I'm sorry I'm pretty new hope or even like I mean he could it he could have interacted well yeah I mean he I was gonna say he could have interacted with like both of that.
[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Right it would be there characters he could have you know it would be I mean if anything where we're going to see him interacting is like I'd like to see him interact with the rebellion.
[00:48:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes me too. You know and then we see him with General Lea we see him with maybe actually know what you can see him in the androids crossover.
[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah there you go I was gonna say it would be cool if you know Rogue one is kind of like he interacts with the character from from that timeline.
[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah that'd be cool yeah I could see them doing something like that okay all right we fanboy and fangirl about this and.
[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_06]: All right well let's go ahead and move on here this. Oh you get to read this one I'm happy about it. Yeah because Earth needs a space cup.
[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah earlier this week it was announced that Kyle Chandler is Green Lantern how Jordan and DC Studios upcoming HBO series lanterns we now are hearing about one actor who's reportedly after the role of John Stewart.
[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_06]: According to me to me to me to be the.
[00:49:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Me to be the.
[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_06]: M. T. T. S. H.
[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh to have some.
[00:49:31] [SPEAKER_06]: E. Dress is one of five actors being considered for the role of John Stewart.
[00:49:36] [SPEAKER_06]: E. Dress is a British actor who's best known for playing the lead in John Singleton's crime drama Snowfall which debuted on FX in 2017 and ended in 2023 after six seasons he also played the co lead in Netflix's 2021 sci-fi action film outside the wire.
[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_06]: The series will focus on a new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend how Jordan to intergalactic cops drawn into a dark earth based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heart land.
[00:50:05] [SPEAKER_06]: The plot the project is being developed by Ozarks Chris Monday watchman's Damon Lindeloff it's already going to be good just both those guys are amazing and comic book writer Tom King this is going to be good Tom King's amazing writer Damon Lindeloff is a really good producer Chris Monday is really good with his show so I'm all
[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_06]: sure.
[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to be a good one for this right now when talking about the eight episodes series DC studios co chairman and co CEO James gun and Peter Safran said John Stewart and how Jordan are two of DC's most compelling characters you're not giving any credit to Kyle.
[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Co-raner is the best green lantern.
[00:50:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes he is you're preaching to the choir.
[00:50:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Exactly and I'm sure if if if Matt Aguilar was in the chat right now he would be agreeing with me right now.
[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I would say John Stewart is one of the more compelling characters though.
[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I go in my team pain books.
[00:50:56] [SPEAKER_06]: That's on the Instagram chat.
[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_06]: And lanterns bringing them the life and original detective story that is a foundational part of the unified DC you we're launching next summer with Superman Nathan Phillian's guy Gardner who will make his debut in gun Superman reboot is expected to have a supporting role in the series.
[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Stephen Williams who was a part of Lost Watchman and Westworld is reportedly in talks to direct and the pilot and production on lanterns is currently set to commence in early 2025 in the united kingdom.
[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_06]: So tacos on the table are we finally getting our John Stewart?
[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_07]: That's where we're going to be.
[00:51:34] [SPEAKER_03]: All right let's move on.
[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I just talk is that yeah my talk is around the table.
[00:51:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's great. I think the series is shaping up. I had to do this. I had to do things.
[00:51:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Shaping up to be a really good series.
[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I think of all of the projects Green Lantern is will be the best as a series and not like movie because it just lends itself to that.
[00:52:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely and again we were talking about it last week but like you know you get the squirrel shows up.
[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_06]: The killer wall has to show up. It's like at some point killer walking needs to be in the series.
[00:52:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh definitely definitely. I like that they're saying it's like a it's this is like a detective story.
[00:52:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Right and it's like okay all right.
[00:52:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, if they're going the same route that penguin is even up penguins not in universe, but I mean like if they're going the same route is penguin then this is going to be great.
[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah like more down to earth not as like we're spades cops, but yeah, it's just yeah.
[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh god say once it how is the best end of story. No.
[00:52:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Kyle Rainer is the best Green Lantern I don't care anyone can argue that with me.
[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Kyle Rainer is the best Green Lantern hands down. How Jordan I was saying how was how Jordan Ion will be kind of was for a little bit but I mean like still.
[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Kyle Rainer is still better.
[00:52:56] [SPEAKER_06]: He was Vanguard for a little while before parallax took him over completely.
[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, no. I think this is going to be a great story.
[00:53:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that you're going to get the kind of old grizzled cop with how Jordan you're going to get the new youngness with John Stewart and you're going to get that fucking wacky jackass cop out of a guy gardener.
[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Guy gardener because what you need you need guy gardener to be kind of a dick. So I mean like let's.
[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah absolutely absolutely.
[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah he's kind of like that cop that walks in is like I'm better than you and I know it.
[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And kill a walk can be their property and boss kill a walker.
[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_03]: We're getting it is really nice the Lou. It's like come on Lou step up to my balls.
[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Come on, kill stop. Keeps up bus in my balls.
[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Damn it how you destroyed half a planet block.
[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Destroyed half a city blocking.
[00:53:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. So yeah, no I'm excited. I'm excited for what this is going to be again John Stewart for the longest time was one of my favorite green lanterns.
[00:54:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And then I got a hold of cow ranger and I was like how rangers the best.
[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I liked and I really liked when John got powered back up and he and Kyle would team up and do stuff because I thought that they they really did a lot.
[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was like the where Kyle was kind of like reckless and John was the you know more sane voice of the two that was always helpful.
[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm curious how far down the rabbit rabbit hole they're going to get with John.
[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:54:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Are they going to do 70s John at some point because that was a both a messed up but compelling story.
[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because he over comes a lot to be a leader.
[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know how they're going to like how they're going to do it but if he's like the new guy probably not for a while.
[00:54:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean if they do if they do like 90s John Stewart then they probably won't do heroine addiction John Stewart and
[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So like you're going to have the marine slash architect and he's just like a genius but he's also just like a really good leader.
[00:55:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, you got to remember he ran just as league for a while when Superman was out of the picture so and then hot girl did too but I mean like you know it's.
[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and then they got together and then I was a total thing in a mess and but I mean their son is bad ass though for and in in just a society.
[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, was a war Hawk yeah, war Hawk is dope. I thought he was one of the coolest characters like it's for character that was created for that show.
[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's so good, you know. But yes, that is it for this room where let's go ahead and move on to the last one here and the first I just have to say this James you ever sleep because now he's going to do a comic apparently.
[00:55:39] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, so according to leading cool James gun is planning to write his own comic for a 20 25 release course he is yeah because I mean the guy has so much time.
[00:55:50] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, the news comes out of Baltimore Comic Con from senior comic book industry executives who should be in a position to know such things that's not like they all right.
[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Neither gun nor DC comics responded to the site when asked a comment but it's speculated that the comic could be a Superman story written by gun with artwork by Jim Lee because you know he's like the president publisher blah blah.
[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but still like that would be amazing written by James gun and art worked done by Jim Lee that would be the most epic comic ever.
[00:56:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would be really I would really with love it. I think it probably will happen to it would make sense for DC comics to release a pre cool or tie in comic to the upcoming Superman movie starring David corn sweat the man who makes what corn sweat yep.
[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_03]: They had done it they've done both before so if it turns out to be true it will be interesting to see what gun is planning as a right now none of this is confirmed.
[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_06]: So talk about the table what comic would we want to see from gun I think if gun did do this like my this is where my tacos would be on the table if gun when this route and did something like this he is going to basically fill out the world before you get to the movie so it's probably going to talk about like the relationships with the characters.
[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Like the moment before right but like kind of more like doing more the world building right because remember saying that it's already lived in world super heroes already exists Superman's deep into his career as Superman you know like Clark is they're going it's going in the the storyline is starting in the middle of a world that already exists so we're not doing this whole starting from the ground up thing that everybody in the past is done right there.
[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_06]: There's no origin stories in this we are just telling stories that exist within DC and I love that about this but given that it is also a new universe that is kind of lived in already.
[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_06]: If you do a tie in comic book you're telling everything that leads up to the story and why these characters are involved right yeah no I I agree with you on that.
[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_03]: But so let's get wacky with it. So let's say he's like yeah he's going to do that but then he decides you know what I want to do one just for me has nothing to do with the movies or anything that I'm doing.
[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_06]: That would be dope too.
[00:58:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I say Captain Carrot.
[00:58:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Captain Carrot and he's fighting condiment man.
[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_03]: But no seriously I'm that's what I'm saying I want to see something like that just like if he were going to do something for marble Howard the duck what I would want him to write.
[00:58:24] [SPEAKER_03]: God I would love to see him go back to Howard the duck and rocket record go on it's a buddy cop or buddy.
[00:58:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah buddy adventure so that's what I want to see or classic man can you imagine if he did a plastic man comic that would be amazing.
[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Plastic from James.
[00:58:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I'd want to see plastic man elongated man just getting a fight.
[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_06]: See who's the the better character that is basically a both of them.
[00:58:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to say they had a couple of scenes in one of the crossover events.
[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it was an infinite crisis or the one where you find out as a ton of mind white doctor light and that's how that's why he went insane.
[00:59:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
[00:59:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that was infinite crisis.
[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So I want to say they had like a thing where they were they were together in a team somewhere and I don't think.
[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_06]: But they really got along that well because they're the same power.
[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, what is the point you were you guys are both mr. fantastic rip offs exactly.
[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_06]: All right, well that is it for rumors ladies and gentlemen.
[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's get into the news because it is now time to get into the download so let's do that.
[00:59:49] [SPEAKER_06]: All right, well guys given that we're here now for more news trailers reactions.
[00:59:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Check out the distance learnings and posts.
[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Let us know what you're nerding out on all of the different things that if you're seeing it here,
[00:59:59] [SPEAKER_06]: it is on the show.
[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_06]: All right, and in the group chat right here.
[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_06]: So speaking of David Cornswett we like our heroes thick with two seas because this is actually a pretty funny story to bring up.
[01:00:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, Cornswett has had many roles over the last decade but none to compare with his new role as the man of steel.
[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_06]: It's no simple thing to step into the cape and boots of the superhero who embodies truth just as in the American way.
[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Flag waves in the background with with super strength and speed at his disposal corn sweat.
[01:00:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Talk about preparing for the role on episode 27 of man of the manly things sort of podcast.
[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_06]: I wasn't 238 pounds when we started shooting.
[01:00:43] [SPEAKER_06]: It's 238 at my max and fit into any of my pants.
[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_06]: The actor also discussed the difficulty of maintaining his peak weight throughout the production process.
[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_06]: He shared that the transformation he underwent initially didn't feel great because his body had not yet adjusted to all the extra weight he had gained.
[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Cornswett joked about realizing he had become a 2xL when dawning a champion sweatshirt during a table read for the film.
[01:01:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Telling the podcast that was at the peak of my book and when I slowly lost weight before we started shooting started shooting at about 228 about 230.
[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I know I wanted this to be my excuse to see what it felt like the game essentially as much weight as I could in May.
[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Follow Miss Maskeady the personal trailer.
[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_06]: The personal trainer for the Superman cast shared a photo of the film's titular star in an Instagram post stating day course with work his ass off.
[01:01:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And I can't wait to share more of the training we did to prepare for the iconic role.
[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Stay tuned for more.
[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_06]: We will be able to see the actor in all his Superman glory when the film is released in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_06]: It's great.
[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's 11.

[01:01:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's go ahead and move on to the next story.

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh hey look it happened.
[01:02:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And my Irish senses are tingling for this next story.
[01:02:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Tim Roth is the latest actor to join the cast of Stephen Knight's Peaky Blinders movie.
[01:02:12] [SPEAKER_03]: He joins Killian Murphy as a killing at Sillyon.
[01:02:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Killian Murphy Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Kieogen in the film.
[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Tom Harper is directing the movie from a script written by Knight.
[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_03]: There are still no plot details, but Knight did say at one point that story would be set during World War Two.
[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Knight talked about the film in the past saying the film.
[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I know exactly what it's about and I know what two stories it's going to tell.
[01:02:39] [SPEAKER_03]: What will happen after that?
[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I want that to depend on the film.
[01:02:42] [SPEAKER_03]: For all we know somebody is going to pop out.
[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I know who it's going to be.
[01:02:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
[01:02:47] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a sassy little tease, right?
[01:02:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Roth is such a fun actor to add and it will be interesting to see who he ends up playing in the world of Peaky Blinders.

[01:03:15] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, you know it's funny as I was like, I'm not even going to make anything up.
[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just going to say intro.

[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_06]: And we kind of want to just take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure the emotion of the Warren's stories
[01:04:20] [SPEAKER_06]: that we want to tell and moving into and potentially wrapping up.

[01:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage plans while also tracking the lives.
[01:06:09] [SPEAKER_03]: They've attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later.

[01:06:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I've been so excited by this.
[01:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: The concept of that immediate aftermath of reentry into the world to me,
[01:06:31] [SPEAKER_03]: there's a whole season worth material there.
[01:06:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And the fact that this is such a long game that each of these characters is facing in terms of reorienting themselves to whatever a normal series.
[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure we're going to learn that their normal is a lot different than our normal.
[01:06:50] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot that needs to be figured out between season two and season three.
[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Swank joins Melanie Lensky Sophie Nolese Nales.

[01:08:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the series will rehash the premise of the films and focus on a giant tech and glamour which collaborates with the local police department to introduce a technologically advanced enforcer to combat rising crime, a police officer whose partman, part machine ladies and gentlemen that was a synopsis.
[01:08:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Synopsis.
[01:08:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Before I have a song about MGM, so we're going to have a Robo cop inspired series and development that would have focused on a young dick Jones and the rise of
[01:08:36] [SPEAKER_06]: the company consumer products or OCP.
[01:08:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll buy that for a dollar.
[01:08:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Robo cop creator and screenwriter.
[01:08:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm down with OCP.
[01:08:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know me.
[01:08:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Robo cop creator and screenwriter Ed Numea was attached to that project he previously said of it.
[01:08:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm working with these two writers Dave Parking and Rob Gibbs who brought this idea into the TV producer friend of mine who then brought it to me.
[01:08:59] [SPEAKER_06]: The first time I heard it, I knew it was a cool idea because I could see a lot of things you could do with it.
[01:09:05] [SPEAKER_06]: It's such an interesting character.
[01:09:07] [SPEAKER_06]: We're talking about the ideas that they are playing with.
[01:09:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Numea goes on to say, there's the idea of doing things about business and law enforcement in the city of Detroit a minute and a half in the future.
[01:09:19] [SPEAKER_06]: It would be a way to do all sorts of stories about business and tech silicon valley corporations, snakes and suits cops, all that.
[01:09:27] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a wonderful rich tapestry.
[01:09:29] [SPEAKER_06]: So we've been talking about it and I think we have an interesting story.
[01:09:33] [SPEAKER_06]: It's fun to work with the younger version of Dick Jones, we met in Robo cop.
[01:09:37] [SPEAKER_06]: He's an actualized corporate predator in the movie but nobody necessarily starts out being a bad guy.
[01:09:43] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's going to be about the evolution of Richard Jones to Dick Jones, the story of OCP and how the world moves in the future, how the corporate world behaves.
[01:09:53] [SPEAKER_06]: No more news on what we might get back to the sideboard of all of it.
[01:09:57] [SPEAKER_06]: So one time.

[01:13:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Dr. Deadpool PhD, very kindly informs us of the risks of to stick to stick to your cancer and tries to convince
[01:13:20] [SPEAKER_06]: you Jackman to do a live checkup.
[01:13:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Sure that's something we wanted to see in the movie.
[01:13:25] [SPEAKER_06]: See product review, in which Deadpool shows off some toys and trinkets from the franchise including
[01:13:30] [SPEAKER_06]: one top secret item that may or may not be a spoiler.
[01:13:35] [SPEAKER_06]: And D.
[01:13:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Way to back.
[01:13:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Whereby Reynolds and Jackman promote a movie but Ryan mis leads Hugh on just exactly which movie
[01:13:42] [SPEAKER_06]: they are there for.
[01:13:44] [SPEAKER_06]: And then I'm also sure that one of the scenes that they're putting back in there is the one that
[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_06]: his best friend in the world was taken out of.
[01:13:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the Rob's.
[01:13:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:13:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sure Rob's scene is going to be on there.
[01:13:56] [SPEAKER_06]: So, of course we're asking here when am I putting this on my Deadpool altar and starts today.
[01:14:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely.
[01:14:06] [SPEAKER_06]: It's going to be there.
[01:14:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's actually the last thing for the news boos.
[01:14:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Right, because I am Marvel Jesus.
[01:14:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so let's move on to the regular download here.
[01:14:18] [SPEAKER_03]: From Marvel's Jesus to DC's Made of Might.
[01:14:22] [SPEAKER_06]: From me to the made of might.
[01:14:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Sorry.
[01:14:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I have to do it.
[01:14:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Rust and bone actor, Matheus,
[01:14:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Schroenert.
[01:14:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Schroenert.
[01:14:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Schroenert.
[01:14:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Schroenert.
[01:14:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to see a lot of things.
[01:14:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I apologize, Matheus.
[01:14:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Schroenert.
[01:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I apologize, Matheus.
[01:14:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Schroenert.
[01:14:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I landed the role of the main villain in DC Studios upcoming Supergirl movie.
[01:14:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He will join House of the Dragons Millie Alcock.
[01:14:52] [SPEAKER_03]: She's so cute.
[01:14:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Who is taking on the title role?
[01:14:55] [SPEAKER_03]: This will be the second film released in the Gods and Monsters DC phase one.
[01:15:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And the film is set to start shooting later this year.
[01:15:03] [SPEAKER_03]: The film has been referred to as Supergirl woman.
[01:15:06] [SPEAKER_03]: The film is a world of tomorrow.
[01:15:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Women of tomorrow in the past, but after gun changed the title of his Superman film to
[01:15:14] [SPEAKER_03]: just Superman, there's a chance this movie will just be titled Supergirl.
[01:15:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I really hope they don't do that.
[01:15:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I like Supergirl woman of tomorrow.
[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Same.
[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they should just keep with that.
[01:15:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Anna, no Giera is writing the screenplay for the film.
[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was previously explained that the movie is based on Tom King's wonderful comic book series
[01:15:34] [SPEAKER_03]: that came out just last year.
[01:15:35] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a very different type of Supergirl.
[01:15:38] [SPEAKER_03]: No details on when the production will start.
[01:15:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Other than later this year, but I mean...
[01:15:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm excited for this.
[01:15:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm excited to get Supergirl to get aside from the one that we got recently in the flash.
[01:15:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
[01:15:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And she had her own show.
[01:15:58] [SPEAKER_06]: It's going to be good seeing an actual movie and doing justice to the character and everything like that.
[01:16:04] [SPEAKER_03]: So I mean...
[01:16:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And it won't have faith down away in it.
[01:16:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I think like 90% of people forgot that was actually a thing that actually happened.
[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Right?
[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was just the oddest Supergirl movie.
[01:16:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I loved it because you know, I just loved it.
[01:16:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But it was Campy A-A-S.
[01:16:22] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, they done away as...
[01:16:24] [SPEAKER_03]: That's like Susan's Brandon in Blue Beetles.
[01:16:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[01:16:30] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the amount of ridiculousness.
[01:16:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's just one of those things that people just didn't realize happened.
[01:16:37] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, moving on to the next story here.
[01:16:42] [SPEAKER_06]: And again, I'm very excited for this.
[01:16:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Are we in our Alan Tudic era?
[01:16:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Is that just where we're at nowadays?
[01:16:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, yes.
[01:16:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Just because...
[01:16:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that I ever left it.
[01:16:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[01:16:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I've been in...
[01:16:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's decades now.
[01:16:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, no, absolutely.
[01:16:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I've been to my Alan era.
[01:16:57] [SPEAKER_06]: I've been to my Alan era since he was a pirate.
[01:17:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Really not not a firefly?
[01:17:05] [SPEAKER_06]: He was a pirate and a firefly.
[01:17:06] [SPEAKER_03]: He was a pilot.
[01:17:08] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought about it for a second.
[01:17:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I was like, oh no, wait, firefly.
[01:17:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, firefly was before that.
[01:17:13] [SPEAKER_06]: So as I was saying it, I was like, no, wait.
[01:17:15] [SPEAKER_06]: But they're pirates.
[01:17:17] [SPEAKER_06]: You can call them pirates.
[01:17:18] [SPEAKER_03]: They kind of are a space pirate.
[01:17:20] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a space pirate.
[01:17:21] [SPEAKER_06]: That's why I was like, there's still kind of a space pirate.
[01:17:23] [SPEAKER_06]: You still a pirate.
[01:17:24] [SPEAKER_03]: More cowboys.
[01:17:25] [SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I was trying to make it work.
[01:17:28] [SPEAKER_06]: But I was like, oh god, okay.
[01:17:30] [SPEAKER_03]: They fell apart.
[01:17:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[01:17:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.
[01:17:32] [SPEAKER_06]: It has been revealed that actor Alan Tudick will be playing a secret role in James Gunn's Superman.
[01:17:39] [SPEAKER_06]: The film was wrapped until...
[01:17:40] [SPEAKER_06]: And Tudick was not revealed as part of the cast previously.
[01:17:43] [SPEAKER_06]: We can count on seeing him when the movie premieres.
[01:17:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Friend of Gunn and DC Universe.
[01:17:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Tudick is also voicing nuclear plant meltdown born villain Dr. Fossfris in Gunn's upcoming Max animated
[01:17:54] [SPEAKER_06]: series, Creature Commandos.
[01:17:55] [SPEAKER_06]: The series technically kicks off the first part of DC Studios phase one, Gods and monsters.
[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Tudick also voices clay face and the Joker in the Max animated series Harley Quinn.
[01:18:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And we also do know that James Gunn said that any character that is voicing something animated
[01:18:11] [SPEAKER_06]: will play them live action.
[01:18:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So do you think that's why it's like he just didn't say that he was in it?
[01:18:16] [SPEAKER_03]: He's like, oh, he's just Dr. Fossfris.
[01:18:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Dr. Fossfris.
[01:18:19] [SPEAKER_06]: You know what kind of...
[01:18:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like that's a waste of Alan Tudick in the live action, but at the same time it's
[01:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, no, I mean, part of me says yeah and part of me says he could still like if
[01:18:30] [SPEAKER_03]: he's voicing like let's say they're doing Brainiac right?
[01:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
[01:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: He could voice Brainiac and that would be a totally different voice than Fossfris.
[01:18:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Alan Tudick can do so many voices it's ridiculous.
[01:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: There are times when I'm like, is that Alan Tudick?
[01:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'll just I will just be watching something and there'll be a voice and I'm like,
[01:18:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that's Alan Tudick because you don't know he just shows up.
[01:18:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and he tends to do that just like really literally do that just show up.
[01:18:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, you want to play this role? Yeah, sure why not.
[01:19:02] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah.
[01:19:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Gun announced the completion of the project on Superman, Injuly.
[01:19:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Superman, Freeze, Breaths, Laser Eyes.
[01:19:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, and flies into theaters on July 11th, 2025.
[01:19:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he does.
[01:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: He sure does.
[01:19:16] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just kind of excited to see what Alan is going to play in this movie,
[01:19:19] [SPEAKER_06]: whether it's, you know, Mr.
[01:19:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Whether Dr. Fossfris shows up or if it's like he just voices another character or maybe
[01:19:25] [SPEAKER_06]: it's just a cameo and he just doesn't play any character and it's just some dude on the street.
[01:19:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, maybe.
[01:19:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that they would be making this much of a deal of it if it was just like random guy
[01:19:36] [SPEAKER_03]: number four.
[01:19:36] [SPEAKER_06]: But the thing is that the what they're announcing is that Alan Tudick is an undisclosed role.
[01:19:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but what if he's just like how what how he wasn't dead pulled to where he was just the dude
[01:19:45] [SPEAKER_06]: That was.
[01:19:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, that was really funny.
[01:19:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I did her live like that though.
[01:19:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I forgot about that.
[01:19:50] [SPEAKER_03]: No, we watched it with the Shidoo and I was in the ice on that.
[01:19:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like, oh my god, I forgot about this.
[01:19:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I love it.
[01:19:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Him and Matt Damon playing like you know just random country dudes number one and number two.
[01:20:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Which is what's the Dale and Earl versus evil?
[01:20:06] [SPEAKER_03]: What's the Dale and Earl versus evil?
[01:20:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that's what he's called.
[01:20:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:20:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And I just thought that's because he has very similar like character.
[01:20:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was playing that character.
[01:20:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[01:20:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Like a crossover anyway.
[01:20:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So moving on to the next story here and I do love him so I want him to be in everything.
[01:20:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely great.
[01:20:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, isn't this a back breaking eye gouging development?
[01:20:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm here to break your back.
[01:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So there's this an office in this as well and it's like it's it's a lot.
[01:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: So these these studios CEOs James gun and Peter Safron are producing a live action movie that will center on the DC characters, a Bane and Deathstroke.
[01:20:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Bane stroke.
[01:20:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Bane stroke.
[01:20:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Death Bane.
[01:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: No.
[01:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Bane stroke sounds so much better.
[01:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: That's that's the parody porn version.
[01:21:00] [SPEAKER_03]: The script for the movie is currently being written by Matthew Orton who worked on Marvel Studios
[01:21:05] [SPEAKER_03]: up coming Captain America brave new world as of right now.
[01:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: There's no director attached and no details to share in regard to the pilot because it's literally being written.
[01:21:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they're writing it right now.
[01:21:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying it before we get it to this next part.
[01:21:20] [SPEAKER_06]: They better they better rehire James man.
[01:21:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Man, Julie Joe Mangamello.
[01:21:31] [SPEAKER_06]: He was the best Deathstroke and it's you can reuse him as that character.
[01:21:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It's we didn't we talk about this last week.
[01:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: We're talking about how we loved him.
[01:21:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We wanted him to be Deathstroke.
[01:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so bad to yeah, let's do it.
[01:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I also we make this happen.
[01:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh shit, we did.
[01:21:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I also I want Bane to actually be Cuban this time.
[01:21:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, yeah, I'm new to you.
[01:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I want him to be the best bane he can be the bane is bane.
[01:22:03] [SPEAKER_06]: The bane is bane.
[01:22:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I will break your butt.
[01:22:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Sorry, I made your back.
[01:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[01:22:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So back breaking Opsis back story comic books synopsis.
[01:22:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Back breaking Opsis back breaking Opsis back breaking Opsis.
[01:22:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Back story comic books synopsis.
[01:22:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Synopsis.
[01:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[01:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: So there's two of them.
[01:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it's fine. I'm just letting you know.
[01:22:27] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to go through Bane first and we're going to go through Desteroke set next expectations.
[01:22:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Bane is one of Batman's most formidable villains known for his immense physical strength and brilliant intellect born in the harsh environment of
[01:22:40] [SPEAKER_03]: the world.
[01:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Bane, yeah, doodle a prison on the island of Santa Fiska.
[01:22:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Bane's life was shaped by violence and survival.
[01:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: His upbringing forced him to become physically powerful and mentally sharp eventually becoming the prisons top in mate.
[01:22:54] [SPEAKER_03]: What sets Bane apart from other villains is his use of the drug venom which amplifies his strength to superhuman levels.
[01:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Bane is a master strategist able to analyze and explain.
[01:23:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Excuse me, exploit his opponent's weaknesses.
[01:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: His most iconic moment in DC Comics comes when he breaks Batman's back in the nightfall storyline.
[01:23:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Sembalizing his ability not to just defeat Batman's body but also his spirit.
[01:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what Bane everybody.
[01:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Bane. Thank you.
[01:23:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I was wondering where would break first?
[01:23:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Your mind?
[01:23:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, your body.
[01:23:32] [SPEAKER_03]: That was really good.
[01:23:33] [SPEAKER_03]: You do a very good Tom Hardy bank.
[01:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, Dastro also known as Slaid Wilson, Wade's grandpa is a former military officer who volunteered for an experimental procedure.
[01:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: He was enhanced with superhuman strength agility and regenerative ability.
[01:23:54] [SPEAKER_03]: You did it correctly.
[01:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Seeing making him one of the deadliest mercenaries in assassins in the DC universe as a master
[01:24:03] [SPEAKER_03]: tactician and expert in various combat forms.
[01:24:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Deathstroke has clashed with superheroes like Batman, Green Arrow and the Teen Titans.
[01:24:12] [SPEAKER_03]: His personal vendetta against the Titans is fueled by his son's tragic death for which Slaid holds the team partially responsible.
[01:24:20] [SPEAKER_03]: His cold calculated approach to both life and battle makes him an unpredictable and relentless flow.
[01:24:27] [SPEAKER_06]: So basically Deathstroke for everybody out there that may be hearing like this version of Deathstroke for the first time is what if Captain America also went insane.
[01:24:39] [SPEAKER_06]: That's essentially what Deathstroke is.
[01:24:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he has a super soldier serum.
[01:24:44] [SPEAKER_06]: He has all the same powers as Captain America but it also drives him completely insane and he becomes a mercenary and assassin and just he's very paranoid.
[01:24:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So he just kind of goes after everybody that he thinks Slaid's him.
[01:24:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yeah, it's like he's on a bad acid trip all the time except he's really and also an adoral.
[01:25:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's funny because like you know, both of them are on some kind of drug because he's on,
[01:25:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Bain is on a super steroid and deathstroke is just he needs adoral more than anything.
[01:25:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Right, yes, yeah.
[01:25:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Well no, my question after this was who's your money on to come out on top like who's going to win if they do this?
[01:25:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It's it's kind of hard to call who would win this fight just because Bain is also a mass protection,
[01:25:30] [SPEAKER_06]: tactician, you know, contrary to the way that people think that he is just because there's two patrals of Bain where they've made him pretty much an idiot.
[01:25:37] [SPEAKER_06]: They made him a muscle bound just invalid in the 90s movie and in the hearty Quinn cartoon.
[01:25:45] [SPEAKER_06]: He's not that smart kind of.
[01:25:47] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but he's hilarious.
[01:25:48] [SPEAKER_06]: He's very funny, but he's kind of an idiot, right?
[01:25:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He's also in nightmare and he's really funny.
[01:25:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't give me wrong. He's one of my favorite characters in that show, right?
[01:25:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, he's absolutely hilarious, but comic book accurate version of Bain which sounds like that's what they're going for is extremely scary because the dude is strong.
[01:26:08] [SPEAKER_06]: He's fast. He is a master tactician. He's one of the few characters that's been able to outthink Batman.
[01:26:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no. I'm all about that. I want to see that side to Bain.
[01:26:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I've been wanting it just as long as you have.
[01:26:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. And like I said, I've been wanting to get a full on Santa Presca version of Bain where he has that Cuban accent. He is, you know,
[01:26:33] [SPEAKER_06]: like you get that kind of like comic book accurate version of Bain.
[01:26:37] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm also Deathstroke is one of my favorite villains in DC because he's unpredictable because he out thinks everybody that he goes up against.
[01:26:46] [SPEAKER_06]: He's another guy that's been able to defeat Batman and one on one combat, like basically Batman.
[01:26:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Bruce got to a point where he was just like, I can't bite this guy.
[01:26:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So I have to basically he basically had to trick him into, into like stopping him.
[01:27:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And then it was one of those things where he got him, like it was a matter of swiftness that he got him like caught in the cage.
[01:27:08] [SPEAKER_06]: And he was just like, oh man, you were 10 seconds away from me killing you, but he like, like basically Deathstroke.
[01:27:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And what's funny is he didn't get angry. He just goes because that's another issue with Deathstroke is when he gets angry.
[01:27:19] [SPEAKER_06]: He loses control, but he didn't even get angry. He just got caught, put his sword down and just sat there and he goes, good move.
[01:27:25] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's just like holy shit, like this dude.
[01:27:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they had like now like since they had like their major fight, they have this like mutual respect for each other.
[01:27:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Like Bruce has high respect for for Deathstroke and it's not just like, you know, oh, you're a bad guy.
[01:27:40] [SPEAKER_06]: It's more like, you know, you are a serious threat and I'm never going to take you lightly.
[01:27:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I think.
[01:27:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's like, and that he, his relationship with Deathstroke brought his relationship with the grace and closer.
[01:27:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely. After, yeah, absolutely because it's though especially with all the teen tight and story lines and what he had when he became the main villain for because he was originally designed as a villain for the Justice Lee him and they were like, oh, we're going to use them for teen Titans.
[01:28:08] [SPEAKER_06]: And, and he, they really wrote him really well for the teen Titans.
[01:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, yeah, and it, and I think that's why everybody loves him so much now.
[01:28:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Like if it hadn't, if he'd gone up against the Justice League, he just would have been another Justice League villain that gets swallowed up because it's not dark side or it's not, you know, the Legion of Doom or whatever.
[01:28:32] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, so that so I'm glad they did it because highlighting him in and he really was the teen Titans first real villain.
[01:28:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[01:28:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Because he showed up in three episodes like no issue number three.
[01:28:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. And so he was like their first main villain and he just kept coming back and coming back. And so it really, I think gave him a lot of respect amongst the comic book community.
[01:28:57] [SPEAKER_06]: The other thing is like Deathstroke's rewrite in new 52 was was crazy because.
[01:29:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because when they did his rewrite in new 52, they gave him more of a backstory. They kind of gave him more of that, you know, Captain America kind of background but they explained like how the serum just like make drove him back.
[01:29:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Crazy to the point where he killed his wife.
[01:29:18] [SPEAKER_06]: And he has this whole history with Amanda Waller.
[01:29:21] [SPEAKER_06]: They were on a special forces team together, which was kind of cool to add that together with the two of them before he took the serum right so like Amanda Waller has like this really close relationship with with slave Wilson.
[01:29:32] [SPEAKER_06]: But then also he's so formidable that when Lobo invaded Amanda Waller called Deathstroke and Deathstroke brought him in.
[01:29:41] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a big deal like you're taking on somebody like Lobo guy who can fight Superman one on one.
[01:29:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I like I feel like Deathstroke is and I don't know if this is a thing. He's kind of like oh yeah, make like lawful chaotic like he's he understands chaos.
[01:29:57] [SPEAKER_03]: He does and I think that's why he could bring Lobo in is because Lobo is pure chaos.
[01:30:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And so he understands it, but he's so ordered that he can understand chaos, but he can also fight it.
[01:30:12] [SPEAKER_03]: So like I think that's it.
[01:30:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Where were add on this going back to where's my money on who would win this fight?
[01:30:18] [SPEAKER_06]: I think eventually this ends up being a stalemate just because both of these guys are guys that are capable of outsmarting someone like Batman.
[01:30:27] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, Deathstroke is taking getting taken down guys that are way stronger and bigger than Bane but Bane in his.
[01:30:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Bane in his peak form can outsmart someone like Deathstroke too. So that's kind of where I'm like you're you're focusing on the intelligence that these characters have that you don't typically see all the time
[01:30:47] [SPEAKER_06]: unless you read the comics and then being in a fight like I see Bane taking the venom breaking Deathstroke sword and coming down to like a one like a one on one fight Deathstroke's going to be smart enough to cut off the.
[01:31:02] [SPEAKER_06]: The tubing yeah and then it comes down to the like.
[01:31:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Just like this to cut right.
[01:31:07] [SPEAKER_06]: It's going to come down to who's better at hand to hand combat and I mean I think that Deathstroke is a better fighter overall between the two of them but Bane is like he's somebody who can.
[01:31:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Who can take a pretty big meeting so.
[01:31:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I still think it would be that.
[01:31:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it becomes a stalemate. I think at the end of this it ends up being a stalemate. They both end up kind of in a position where they agree to work together and moves on the story of.
[01:31:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Of what's going on in DC's universe.
[01:31:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, now I mean I you know I like it and I like that hitting these characters against each other because I do think they're very well matched.
[01:31:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it is very good match between the two of them especially if you're going with the the like you're going with comic accurate versions of the characters.
[01:31:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, absolutely so from dysfunctional relations are to.
[01:31:56] [SPEAKER_06]: Is this mine? This is mine. So you don't even read the Joker shit.
[01:32:01] [SPEAKER_06]: So many red flags in this relationship there are a lot of red flags in this relationship. This relationship defines red flags.
[01:32:09] [SPEAKER_02]: The flags are so red they've caught on fire.
[01:32:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm actually afraid considering how much Todd Phillips has changed the character if they're going to go the route of like toxicity between the two of them.
[01:32:22] [SPEAKER_06]: But anyways, Joker, Folly, do writer and director Todd Phillips recently held a QA session before screening of the film.
[01:32:29] [SPEAKER_06]: And during that discussion he talked about the film's ending and how he thinks audiences will react to it.
[01:32:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Phillips explained for the people that have seen this movie in general at the end they sit and they don't move for about three to five minutes. That sounds like it's going to be fucked up.
[01:32:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it's going to leave you with very unsettling things unsettling.
[01:32:47] [SPEAKER_06]: He also noted that the film also clarifies a lot of things that you might have had questions about in the first film.
[01:32:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I hope it all gets answered Phillips discussed the franchise shaky relationship with reality saying he had a lot of fantasies in the first movie.
[01:33:00] [SPEAKER_06]: This movie really finds Arthur answers everything for us as well. Well, that movie really happened all that stuff really happened.
[01:33:07] [SPEAKER_06]: While he says the sequel will clarify the films. The first films more surreal elements. He also joked that the audience is still might have some questions.
[01:33:16] [SPEAKER_06]: He concluded saying again, you don't understand to email me. I think it'll all come together.
[01:33:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
[01:33:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I love that. He's just like, okay, well, if you don't understand it, I will clarify everything for you.
[01:33:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Which actually is something that I want because it feels like now both of these movies are things that take place in the Joker's head.
[01:33:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Which gives me a more respect for the way that he's writing this.
[01:33:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I can see that.
[01:33:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Because it's not like, you know, they're not true origin stories. It's another kind of how I did with killing joke.
[01:33:53] [SPEAKER_06]: They're unreliable stories. It's just shit that's happening in his head that he thinks is real.
[01:33:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's an unreliable narrator.
[01:34:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Exactly. And I want that that's all I wanted out of this is that you have this idealized version of the Joker in his own head.
[01:34:09] [SPEAKER_06]: But reality is that he's just a fucking psycho path.
[01:34:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Who likes to wear purple?
[01:34:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Who likes to wear purple? He's not wearing that. Well, I guess he is wearing a little bit of purple on the first movie. So we have an ops this year.
[01:34:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so I'll do it and then you can get out the grease paint office. We bow to start clowning synopsis.
[01:34:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Really get out the grease paintopsis.
[01:34:31] [SPEAKER_05]: We bow to start clowning synopsis.
[01:34:35] [SPEAKER_06]: In the film, Arthur Fleck is institutionalized at Arkham, a waiting trial for his crimes as Joker.
[01:34:43] [SPEAKER_06]: While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him.
[01:34:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Arthur forms a strong relationship with Quinn and together they embark on a journey filled with violence and music because this movie is a musical.
[01:34:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so me knowing that this movie is a musical and now hearing that it's it's again it's more like shaky fantasy shit.
[01:35:08] [SPEAKER_06]: He's making up a musical in his head and that makes me more like I kind of want to watch it more now because it's like why are you making up a musical in your head?
[01:35:18] [SPEAKER_06]: But I also think that the his relationship with Harley is going to be a fantasy of his.
[01:35:22] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, probably.
[01:35:24] [SPEAKER_06]: You know and it's not going to be like you know it's not going to be what he thinks is but I think the thing that's going to be unsettling is I think in the end we do end up getting that.
[01:35:33] [SPEAKER_06]: That which caught the that Stockholm syndrome with with Harley and she ends up killing somebody for him.
[01:35:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and that's her like point and never return type thing.
[01:35:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Right and I think that that's going to be like I think it's going to be a really grisly kill and that's where like it's going to be unsettling for people because again the scene for people.
[01:35:50] [SPEAKER_06]: You haven't seen the first movie right.
[01:35:52] [SPEAKER_06]: No, I have it.
[01:35:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there is a very very unsettling scene that kind of like completes the transformation.
[01:35:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
[01:36:00] [SPEAKER_06]: It's it's messed up like you know it's one of those things where it's hard to watch.
[01:36:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[01:36:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Because he like train spotting hard to watch.
[01:36:08] [SPEAKER_06]: He kills somebody in a very very gruesome manner.
[01:36:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[01:36:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So like American psycho.
[01:36:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:36:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Unseaddling.
[01:36:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[01:36:16] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[01:36:16] [SPEAKER_06]: And basically like after it happens he kind of just like nonchalantly just like blows everything off.
[01:36:21] [SPEAKER_06]: There's a character that's in the room that's like deathly afraid because he's like fuck he's going to kill me now, right?
[01:36:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's like you're always nice to me.
[01:36:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[01:36:28] [SPEAKER_06]: You can leave right and and it's just like looking at him and he's just like yeah,
[01:36:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Just go before it changed my mind and he like leaves right.
[01:36:35] [SPEAKER_06]: But it was just kind of like yeah, it's it's it's a very unsettling like bloody gruesome murder.
[01:36:41] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's it's kind of again it's showing the amount of psycho that the Joker is.
[01:36:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know and then at the end of the movie it becomes this unreliable narrator situation where now they kind of flash a couple of scenes at the end that show like you know the things that we thought had happened.
[01:36:57] [SPEAKER_06]: None of it happened at all.
[01:36:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh wow.
[01:36:59] [SPEAKER_06]: It was all shit that happened in his head.
[01:37:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh gosh.
[01:37:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[01:37:02] [SPEAKER_06]: So again, it is it is the descent of someone who is a just a psychopath succumbing to their own psychosis.
[01:37:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
[01:37:11] [SPEAKER_06]: You know again as much as I'm never going to watch it.
[01:37:13] [SPEAKER_06]: But now I'm saying as much as as much as I know you don't like the Joker take the Joker out of it and watch the movie just as a movie.
[01:37:20] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not that it's not just that it's also walking Phoenix.
[01:37:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Gotcha.
[01:37:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he's he's problematic himself, but I mean again the dude puts on a convincing psycho performance because he kind of is a fucking psycho, but I mean.
[01:37:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure it's fantastic and it I will regret not watching it, but I'm okay with that regret.
[01:37:41] [SPEAKER_06]: And Joker fall you do is schedule to release this Friday on October 4th, 2024.
[01:37:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's funny that that's where we eat the spider's tricks and back.
[01:37:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, but I'm not, I'm not, yeah.
[01:37:53] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying if you take if you take the Joker out of it is a fucking good movie because a lot of stuff is just about like you know people like just kind of how far do you have to push somebody for them to hit their breaking point.
[01:38:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[01:38:07] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's kind of where it goes, like how it goes is like you know the dude just seems like a quiet nice kid but he turned out to be a fucking psycho path and enough people pushing that he turns into a fucking serial killer.
[01:38:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Awesome.
[01:38:19] [SPEAKER_06]: So moving on to the next story here.
[01:38:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I'm sorry.
[01:38:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It's fine.
[01:38:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Green's just not his color.
[01:38:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Josh Berlin recently commented on being offered the role of Hal Jordan in the DC Studios HBO series lanterns, which is based on DC Comics,
[01:38:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Green lantern.
[01:38:38] [SPEAKER_03]: He passed on the role and not long after we learned that Kyle Chandler had joined the series.
[01:38:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Berlin acknowledged that things didn't work out and he also commented on the Chandler Casting News, the actor told comic book, you know what?
[01:38:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Greenlander didn't work out but that's okay.
[01:38:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It's working out.
[01:38:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Who is it going to be Kyle Chandler?
[01:38:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I love him as an actor.
[01:38:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's wonderful actually and you know we'll see what's down the line man.
[01:39:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Berlin didn't offer any insight into why he passed on the role.
[01:39:07] [SPEAKER_03]: lanterns will launch in the summer of 2025.
[01:39:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Nice.
[01:39:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, I do like that his answer wasn't like well I turned it down.
[01:39:17] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't want to do it.
[01:39:18] [SPEAKER_06]: It was like I'm a fucking busy.
[01:39:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:39:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:39:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I really think it probably was just scheduling.
[01:39:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[01:39:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And the way he's like hey and you know maybe there'd be something down the line.
[01:39:28] [SPEAKER_03]: So he's not saying I'm totally not going to work for DC.
[01:39:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He's just saying I can't do it right now.
[01:39:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And I do love that he's just like okay so there's still a chance.
[01:39:38] [SPEAKER_06]: But at the same time he's like praising Kyle Chandler and he's like no he's going to be a great
[01:39:42] [SPEAKER_06]: How Jordan.
[01:39:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
[01:39:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Well you got to think they probably have been up for similar roles in the past.
[01:39:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So again, I'm excited for lanterns.
[01:39:50] [SPEAKER_06]: I can't wait to see how it turns out.
[01:39:52] [SPEAKER_06]: It seems like it's going to be a really good body cop show.
[01:39:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I am so excited.
[01:39:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I really, really am.
[01:39:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Of all of the stuff like yes I want more Wonder Woman stuff.
[01:40:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes I want you know really cool female lead comic book things super girl Wonder Woman Power Girl.
[01:40:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Heck at Cat Woman.
[01:40:11] [SPEAKER_03]: No let's not do that we did that once it's over maybe Gotham Syrians how about that that would be so.
[01:40:18] [SPEAKER_06]: If they read it Gotham City Syrians that would be great.
[01:40:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would love that.
[01:40:22] [SPEAKER_03]: But just like you know something you know I would love stuff like that but of like the just
[01:40:27] [SPEAKER_03]: like the oh not really OG because that was just a society but you know what I'm talking about like just a sleep.
[01:40:35] [SPEAKER_03]: What's the same we won't get just a cruise at some point right I mean like you know right no but that's what I'm saying is like I really love that they're doing green lanterns and it's lanterns
[01:40:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not okay we're just going to do this one guy it's like no it's going to be about all this group of people from all over the you know universe that are space cops
[01:40:56] [SPEAKER_03]: They have a sector and that's what they're in charge of of course earth needs several because we're that extra but yeah so I'm just like yeah no I'm glad it's not just hey this is green lantern it's how Jordan show it's like it's about the actual like society of lanterns and I love that that was my favorite bit of lore that they established.
[01:41:23] [SPEAKER_06]: It's going to be interesting to see house in Nestra plays into all this I'm sure he's going to show up you know and he's going to be a yellow lantern at this point if we're getting John Stewart we've already got a couple earth sector green lanterns
[01:41:36] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what the show's called lanterns I feel like we're going to get sinister at some point the predictable thing is going to be this murder that they're investigating in the Midwest turns out to be something sinister did right that lower it right especially with fear but that's that's if they go predictable they go unpredictable
[01:41:57] [SPEAKER_03]: It'll be interesting to see how St. Astro shows up sorry Gow is literally bright in front of like where my setup is she's gotten in like the little hole of my setup and she's just like my love me pet me I love you piece pet me please
[01:42:13] [SPEAKER_03]: For the audio listeners I know it's adorable right you guys are afraid of petting her dog. Yeah, I'm not I'm afraid she's going to get wrapped up in cables and stuff so I'm like trying to keep her.
[01:42:26] [SPEAKER_06]: So let's get to this last story right here robot cars are coming for our jobs Chris Hembsworth there's a fine job voicing optimist prime in the new transformers one animated film but let's be honest
[01:42:42] [SPEAKER_06]: He's no Peter Cohen. Colon is optimist prime and there was really no reason to replace him sure the filmmakers will tell you they wanted someone new to voice a younger version of the character but seriously
[01:42:53] [SPEAKER_06]: But just need to be honest they wanted a big a list actor attached to the role. They wanted Chris Hembsworth's name used in all the marketing not Peter Collins so we now have an optimist prime that sounds like Chris Hembsworth when
[01:43:07] [SPEAKER_06]: It's just sounds like fucking a hate piece against Chris. Right it's not I know it's not but it starts that way right when talking it's when you read it out loud it's like God it sounds so bad.
[01:43:20] [SPEAKER_06]: It's different when you read it in your head. When talking about taking on the role of the iconic character Hembsworth shared what was so nerve wracking about it I was thankful that what wasn't required of me was to come in and mimic rip off what Peter Cohen had done this was a youthful version playful before he had become the all-knowing wise optimist prime.
[01:43:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Toor the end of the film there's kind of one speech or two where we really lean into the cadence and the vocal quality of what Peter was doing and that was the most nerve wracking part for me.
[01:43:50] [SPEAKER_06]: He went on to talk about being directed by Josh Kooley saying there were there were times in the film where I was leaning toward toward it a little too heavily a little too early and Josh was like oh sounds great but we're not there yet he added it was something that really excited me about the film and the character it was a fresh take in something unique
[01:44:09] [SPEAKER_06]: The version about the misprime that we meet in this movie is not the same character that many of us grew up with this is a reimagining of the character and they made that clear with the movie transformers one isn't theaters right now.
[01:44:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, it is a younger version of optimist prime he's not even optimist prime at this point because he becomes optimist prime when he gets these matrix of leadership what she does not have at this point.
[01:44:31] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just a movie but I know where it takes place in because it's supposed to be before neither of them are optimist prime or megatron this is when they were just like young and friends this is before optimist was the leader of the of the science division and.
[01:44:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Megalodon megatron and megatron was the general the armies of all the cyber trons.
[01:44:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean like this is before they get that kind of car is megatron and he's a tank.
[01:44:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And after primas semi truck is semi truck.
[01:45:03] [SPEAKER_06]: They're different versions of their vehicles in on cyber tron but they are essentially like he is essentially a like you know large commercial vehicle and.
[01:45:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Megatron is still like a tank, but just like they're not like earth vehicles they're like you know like alien style vehicles.
[01:45:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Why are you so defensive is it because you know this is going to.
[01:45:24] [SPEAKER_06]: It's just because that is something that people are like why are you like earth cars and stuff they're not that is point me especially I think I'm the most vocal.
[01:45:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Why are they cars.
[01:45:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I just don't get why their earth.
[01:45:38] [SPEAKER_06]: They're not earth cars in this yet.
[01:45:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I just think it's funny.
[01:45:42] [SPEAKER_02]: It's funny that it's totally the whole reason why transfers were created was because they wanted to sell toys and they had to mishmash something together.
[01:45:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Make it work.
[01:45:55] [SPEAKER_06]: How do you make a robot turn into a car?
[01:45:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it transforms.
[01:45:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Transformers.
[01:46:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, right.
[01:46:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And then more than meets the eye.
[01:46:06] [SPEAKER_03]: But James said that on the lanterns,
[01:46:09] [SPEAKER_03]: things and what if it turns out to be about on my super heroes with no electricity trying to protect the home stood by lantern.
[01:46:16] [SPEAKER_06]: I will watch that too. I totally watch that.
[01:46:19] [SPEAKER_06]: What I really want to do is transform and have everybody transform their money into merch because we got merch right now.
[01:46:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I was trying to find a good transition for that.
[01:46:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was a lovely attempt.
[01:46:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I tried.
[01:46:40] [SPEAKER_06]: But I tried.
[01:46:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Gentlemen, you can buy all of the merch.
