[00:00:50] Saying hi to everybody out there in the world. Shoutouts to Tyler Goe. Tyler's G-O-E. Tyler from um... No, saying hi to Tyler in our chat, in our regular chat, but Tyler on Instagram.
[00:01:05] Who is Tyler from... The block. Tyler from the block.
[00:01:13] Look, if Ginny can be from the block, Tyler can be from the block. Right, right, no, from um... Oh, all of a sudden, uh, it's the podcast that we, the guys we just met at LA Comic Con.
[00:01:26] Real Time Russ. Real Time Russ. I was trying to remember Russ's name. Keeping it real with Real Time Russ.
[00:01:31] Real, keeping it real with Real Time Russ. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, Tyler is the creator, uh, and that is... And then Tyler said Real Time Russ right after that, so...
[00:01:40] Yeah, no, I'm terrible. And, and you know what's funny is I just caught up on your guys' show, so...
[00:01:44] Tyler is the one with the good hair. Remember his hair?
[00:01:46] He's the one with the good hair. And, and... Man.
[00:01:49] Shoutout to...
[00:01:50] You should've, you should've interviewed his hair. I know. You know what I mean?
[00:01:53] Shoutout to Chris Neal in the chat. I know, I thought he did a very hairy interview.
[00:01:56] I know, right? Shoutout to Chris Neal in the chat saying, what's up, man?
[00:01:58] Wait. Well, we'll get the perfect curl... Yeah.
[00:02:01] ...to interview Tyler's hair.
[00:02:04] It'll be a hair versus hair.
[00:02:06] Tyler said, no, it's great hair!
[00:02:10] And we will talk to him about rabbits. All right, so...
[00:02:13] Luscious locks, Tyler's hair. What? No. Okay, that doesn't make any sense. Never mind. Let's go.
[00:02:20] Yeah, man. Well, we've talked about Tyler for about a minute and a half now, so...
[00:02:23] Yeah. And it's not, and it's not even like...
[00:02:25] Okay, nobody needs that time, police.
[00:02:29] Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's Taco Tuesday. I'm late on bringing up everything on here, but you know what that means.
[00:02:36] You are now watching and listening and experiencing distance nerding.
[00:02:41] Part of the Comic-Con radio podcast family.
[00:02:44] She's craving more craving. It's Jen from Frey Comics.
[00:02:48] She's definitely, definitely in the top five of this four host panel.
[00:02:55] It's Shadoo.
[00:02:57] You made top five.
[00:03:00] He didn't adopt the dark. He just can't find his glasses.
[00:03:03] It's Jabez 5,000.
[00:03:06] Ha ha.
[00:03:07] And he's got a Mickey Mouse stuck in his throat.
[00:03:10] Oh, boy.
[00:03:11] Oh, boy.
[00:03:12] It's young Phil.
[00:03:14] I can't get rid of it.
[00:03:15] And we're here to...
[00:03:17] Nerd.
[00:03:17] Nerd.
[00:03:17] Nerd together.
[00:03:18] Nerd together.
[00:03:20] So, you know what they call that?
[00:03:23] Mickey Mouse stuck in your throat?
[00:03:24] God.
[00:03:25] It's whatever Ryan Reynolds said.
[00:03:26] Oh, I was just gonna say they call it...
[00:03:29] They don't call that the three penny opera.
[00:03:31] They call that the 24 mile an hour opera.
[00:03:34] We're talking about anything pop culture news, movies,
[00:03:37] music, wrestling, podcasts, comics, comic cons, whatever you're nerding out on.
[00:03:42] We want to talk about it.
[00:03:44] That's right.
[00:03:45] Now, follow us on all of the social media places.
[00:03:48] Everywhere where social media exists, you can follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,
[00:03:51] Twitch, threads, YouTube, Discord, all at Distance Nerding.
[00:03:55] And, of course, if you want to shoot us an email, guys, you can.
[00:03:58] It is possible.
[00:03:59] All you have to do is head over to your email of choice thingy thingy and shoot us an email at Dist.
[00:04:07] I'm excited for today.
[00:04:08] New segments.
[00:04:09] This is gonna be fun.
[00:04:10] Woo!
[00:04:10] I like segments.
[00:04:11] Yeah.
[00:04:12] Yeah.
[00:04:12] And, for the record, if you have Mickey Mouse talking to your throat, that is a Steamboat Willie.
[00:04:15] All right.
[00:04:16] So...
[00:04:16] Oh!
[00:04:17] There you go.
[00:04:18] I love that.
[00:04:19] That is way better.
[00:04:20] Yep.
[00:04:21] Definitely not a song in the south.
[00:04:22] I know the joke had left the building and gone home, but...
[00:04:26] It's nerding at AOL.com, and we will read your email on the air, on the show, with all the fun and fixings.
[00:04:35] Guys, how's it been?
[00:04:36] How's your week been?
[00:04:37] Yeah.
[00:04:38] Good, man.
[00:04:38] We're excited.
[00:04:39] Good.
[00:04:39] Let's do this show.
[00:04:40] It's a weird, light week of news.
[00:04:43] Yeah.
[00:04:43] So, we can just, like, talk about all kinds...
[00:04:45] This is a nice, like, time to, like, review the year.
[00:04:48] It's just nice and casual, and yeah.
[00:04:51] Yeah.
[00:04:51] And then, uh...
[00:04:52] I mean, we lost, we lost Gal.
[00:04:54] Yeah.
[00:04:54] Oh, Gal.
[00:04:55] Right before Thanksgiving, so...
[00:04:57] Shout out to Gal.
[00:04:58] Shout out to Gal.
[00:04:58] Shout out to Gal.
[00:04:58] Part of the show.
[00:04:59] She is.
[00:05:00] She's part of the family.
[00:05:01] She was like our unofficial mascot, so...
[00:05:04] Every time she would cry and sit on the corner.
[00:05:06] Just...
[00:05:07] Yeah.
[00:05:09] So...
[00:05:09] So there's that.
[00:05:10] Oh, God.
[00:05:12] Uh...
[00:05:13] In the chat, uh, said, what is this?
[00:05:14] I hear you want to interview Tyler's hair.
[00:05:19] That is amazing.
[00:05:21] And yes, we totally want to interview Tyler's hair.
[00:05:23] Just, just his hair though.
[00:05:25] Not, not, not Tyler.
[00:05:26] Not the person under it.
[00:05:27] Right, right.
[00:05:28] Just the hair.
[00:05:28] Not the co-host of the podcast.
[00:05:30] Right, no, no.
[00:05:30] We want to interview just the hair.
[00:05:31] The co-co-host.
[00:05:32] Right.
[00:05:33] Uh, matter of fact, I want an interview between Tyler's hair and the beard.
[00:05:38] That would be much better.
[00:05:40] Mmm.
[00:05:40] Like, the perfect curl is not ready to interview people, so the beard should do it.
[00:05:45] Okay.
[00:05:45] The perfect curl, all I can hear the perfect curl saying is...
[00:05:49] Oh, yeah!
[00:05:51] Well, that, she calls everybody a little bitch.
[00:05:54] So, I mean, that's...
[00:05:55] I am the perfect curl, I am the perfect curl, and my cream rises.
[00:06:01] So cute.
[00:06:01] Uh, they said they can make it happen.
[00:06:03] They can give us an interview with Tyler's hair.
[00:06:05] That's fantastic.
[00:06:07] Look at us.
[00:06:08] We're going to be the first ever, like, hair interview show.
[00:06:14] Just like different hair, interviewing different hair.
[00:06:18] It'll be fantastic.
[00:06:19] Yeah, yeah.
[00:06:19] It's, uh, the beard interviews, uh, the, the, the hair.
[00:06:23] And it can be different kinds of hair, like different facial features.
[00:06:27] Right.
[00:06:28] Um, you know, like facial, like facial hair.
[00:06:32] Like, you could do some of that that's got a Zappa.
[00:06:34] Right.
[00:06:34] Or like the little chin pubes, or, you know, just really luscious hair.
[00:06:39] Uh, Chris Neal saying, uh, the cream always to the top, along with the curl.
[00:06:45] Yeah.
[00:06:45] And the curl hangs out with the cherry.
[00:06:47] Shout out to Chris.
[00:06:48] And then one more time, they said they met us at LA Comic Con.
[00:06:50] They loved us.
[00:06:51] Uh, a beard with a bird in there.
[00:06:54] That would be fun too.
[00:06:55] Uh, Ken Burns presents the beard interviews.
[00:06:58] There we go.
[00:07:00] I love the chatter happening on Instagram right now.
[00:07:03] This is great.
[00:07:05] The beard from the void.
[00:07:07] The beard from the void.
[00:07:08] Exactly.
[00:07:09] It's, it's on there.
[00:07:10] Uh, so with all these jokes that we've been throwing out there, ladies and gentlemen,
[00:07:14] you have now stumbled on, uh, the best or probably worst kept secret on all of the internet.
[00:07:20] Ladies and gentlemen, you are now watching the download.
[00:07:37] Is it over?
[00:07:38] Are we done?
[00:07:39] Oh yeah.
[00:07:40] The show's completely over.
[00:07:41] We're not, we're not doing the show anymore.
[00:07:43] That's all right.
[00:07:43] Bye everybody.
[00:07:44] Bye everybody.
[00:07:45] Thank you.
[00:07:47] Well, ladies and gentlemen, this week on deck, we've got the geek end update.
[00:07:52] We're exposed with the geek freaks podcast at fan expo SF.
[00:07:56] That's right.
[00:07:57] Got a little bit of a start and rumors.
[00:08:00] You merely adopted the dark.
[00:08:02] I bet my tacos on them.
[00:08:03] Ooh.
[00:08:05] That, that, that's, that's actually really, really fucking good.
[00:08:08] Uh, the download is craven hunting his way into our heart.
[00:08:15] Absolutely not.
[00:08:16] That trailer did not make me want to watch it anymore.
[00:08:19] What?
[00:08:20] What trailer?
[00:08:20] Eight minutes.
[00:08:21] Oh, you mean the abs?
[00:08:22] You mean like the five minutes of abs?
[00:08:24] First eight minute movie.
[00:08:25] Oh yeah.
[00:08:26] And of course we're doing a new segment this week called top geeked.

[00:08:32] We'll tell you ours.
[00:08:34] Oh yeah.

[00:10:15] Uh, well, ladies and gentlemen, let's get into this geek end update.
[00:10:27] My desk looks so messy from here.
[00:10:30] I'm having a strange sense of days.
[00:10:31] I feel like we heard that before.
[00:10:32] I don't know.
[00:10:34] I don't know.

[00:11:02] Comic con.
[00:11:03] 30 years of episodes.
[00:11:04] We haven't joined the last century and a half.
[00:11:07] It's been 30 years since the last episode.
[00:11:12] Well, it's gone 50 years ago.
[00:11:14] I feel like Jen just threw the, uh, the heart of the ocean over the side of the ship just
[00:11:19] right now.
[00:11:19] Just mortality has its privileges.
[00:11:29] Oh, God.

[00:11:53] That's all I'm saying.
[00:11:54] Well, let's, uh, let's move on to the next piece here.
[00:11:57] So, uh, before we bring on, uh, uh, a commentator here, ladies and gentlemen, this

[00:12:24] Uh, Shamik Moore, uh, Jody Benson, Frank Miller, Art Adams, just a plethora of people.
[00:12:31] Of course, our friends were there.

[00:13:15] Our friend Frank from geek freaks podcast.
[00:13:20] What's up everybody.
[00:13:22] Hey, I think we need to do a welfare check on Phil.
[00:13:25] He doesn't seem like he's firing.
[00:13:27] Absolutely not.
[00:13:28] I haven't had my W that's my problem.
[00:13:30] I was going to say it's either not enough W or too much.
[00:13:32] I didn't have any.
[00:13:33] Yeah.
[00:13:35] There's a fine line.
[00:13:37] Exactly.
[00:13:40] I was gonna say it's also because the way we had it written was in the past tense.
[00:13:43] And I'm like, okay, how do I make this?
[00:13:45] So I beat, so it becomes an introduction.
[00:13:46] And I'm like, no, I fucked this up.
[00:13:49] Malfunctioning brain.
[00:13:49] It's all right.
[00:13:50] I'm broken.
[00:13:50] It's fine.
[00:13:51] I'm broken.
[00:13:53] Yeah.
[00:13:53] So fan expo, right?
[00:13:55] This last weekend over at San Francisco, it was a blast.
[00:13:57] Um, and I wish you guys were there.
[00:13:59] There's so many cool people to meet.
[00:14:00] Cosplay, of course, through the roof.
[00:14:01] Uh, the panels were next level.
[00:14:04] Um, yeah, it was a ton of fun and they, they do it right at fan expo.
[00:14:08] And I know that they're trying to be like San Francisco's next big con.
[00:14:10] And this is the right way to do it.
[00:14:12] It felt like it was showing up.
[00:14:13] It was good.
[00:14:13] Okay.
[00:14:13] I have three questions.
[00:14:15] What does Charlie Cox smell like?
[00:14:20] That would be wonderful to know.
[00:14:21] He canceled.
[00:14:22] Damn it.
[00:14:23] Oh, okay.
[00:14:25] Um, that's called, that's called the cock tease.
[00:14:27] Just want to throw it out.
[00:14:28] That is, that is.
[00:14:29] Yeah.
[00:14:29] That is a cock tease.
[00:14:30] Yes.
[00:14:31] Okay.
[00:14:32] And, uh, Giancarlo Esposito.
[00:14:34] Did he say anything more about being professor X?
[00:14:37] Nothing.
[00:14:38] Damn it.
[00:14:38] He was playing it very close to the, he was doing the classic.
[00:14:41] I'm a professional actor kind of thing.
[00:14:42] And just being like, that kind of thing.
[00:14:45] Okay.
[00:14:46] Which is like normally with Giancarlo.
[00:14:47] That sounds about right.
[00:14:48] Yeah.
[00:14:48] So yeah.
[00:14:49] And did Manny Jacinto show off his abs?
[00:14:54] Unfortunately not, which is a real shame.
[00:14:55] I'm not sure why the hell you'd go to a convention with Manny on the poster.
[00:14:59] And then you got to take him abs.
[00:15:01] But, uh, we were all ripped off actually.
[00:15:03] Yeah.
[00:15:04] Quick shout out for my podcast.
[00:15:05] He'll be on the show in a couple months.
[00:15:07] So.
[00:15:07] Manny Jacinto will?
[00:15:09] Yeah.
[00:15:09] Oh, I am.
[00:15:10] Awesome.
[00:15:10] I am.
[00:15:11] So do you have any open slots for an older woman who appreciates a young man?
[00:15:21] I need you to come on and be our, our ab alert.
[00:15:23] And, uh, if we go too long without abs showing up, I need you to jump in and fix that real
[00:15:27] quick.
[00:15:28] Okay.
[00:15:28] So I'm going to, I'm going to need to make you a sound bite.
[00:15:31] You know, you say that, but I could make it happen.
[00:15:35] I'll give you like a button you could press.
[00:15:36] I'm going to have to make a button ahead of time.
[00:15:39] Yeah.
[00:15:40] It's going to be like the spoiler alert button, but like ab alert.
[00:15:43] Oh yeah.
[00:15:47] But it's going to be like ab alert, ab alert.
[00:15:49] It's like, it's also what happens when Aaron Taylor Johnson shows up on the screen.
[00:15:53] Then she's just ab alert.
[00:15:54] Yeah.
[00:15:55] Have some dignity fray.
[00:15:59] I just am.
[00:16:00] I am just giving the people what they want, what they deserve.
[00:16:05] Yeah.
[00:16:07] No second season of acolyte.
[00:16:09] No problem.
[00:16:10] More Manny Jacinto apps.
[00:16:12] He did kind of leave that door open for, for, he said that they're supposed to do three
[00:16:15] seasons of that.
[00:16:17] And, um, and this wasn't to me, this is somebody else, but, um, he did leave that door open
[00:16:20] a little bit.
[00:16:21] I think it's completely closed, but I'd be happy if they brought it back and maybe kind
[00:16:25] of gave it to some sense.
[00:16:27] I don't think it had in the first season.
[00:16:28] I think rumor has it they're doing a prequel to, to that show that, that focuses on specifically
[00:16:34] the, uh, the stranger, his character, um, and his relationship with, um, with dark place.
[00:16:41] Yeah.
[00:16:42] Which is what's needed.
[00:16:43] I think that was, he was the highlight of the series.
[00:16:45] And so if they were like, okay, let's just take the best asset of that and put it over
[00:16:47] here.
[00:16:48] Makes sense to me.
[00:16:49] Yeah.
[00:16:49] Yeah.
[00:16:50] Yeah.
[00:16:50] Well, that in space Trinity and, um, who is the green girl again?
[00:16:55] Venestra.
[00:16:56] Venestra.
[00:16:56] Venestra.
[00:16:57] She'll probably be in it.
[00:16:59] Yeah.
[00:16:59] Yeah.
[00:17:00] Cause she, she has a, she obviously had some type of relationship with Manny's character.
[00:17:05] So yeah.
[00:17:05] And she is a really big deal in the comics and the books and everything that before.
[00:17:10] And also her life partner created the acolyte.
[00:17:14] Yeah.
[00:17:14] So, you know, anyways, going back to a fan expo.
[00:17:18] Yes.
[00:17:20] Oh yeah.
[00:17:20] We're talking about a comic card.
[00:17:21] So, uh, yeah.
[00:17:23] Uh, so again, like cosplays were great.
[00:17:25] The, the, the king of cosplays was Rhino was there from the Spider-Man games.
[00:17:28] Um, full suit, just incredible.
[00:17:31] But there was so many great cosplays there.
[00:17:33] Um, as per usual.
[00:17:34] And the panels were really amazing.
[00:17:37] Uh, they had the entire flash cast there and just sitting that close to them and being
[00:17:41] like, they're really friends.
[00:17:43] It was so cool.
[00:17:45] Wait, like everybody was there.
[00:17:47] That's awesome.
[00:17:48] The only one that wasn't was Joe.
[00:17:49] Everybody else was there.
[00:17:50] Really?
[00:17:51] Yeah.
[00:17:51] Oh man.
[00:17:52] That makes sense.
[00:17:53] Yeah.
[00:17:54] That's awesome.
[00:17:55] I love the flash.
[00:17:57] Oh, me too.
[00:17:57] And Wells, I, I'm not sure which name is the best name for, but Wells was Wells.
[00:18:01] Yeah.
[00:18:02] Yeah.
[00:18:02] He was a cut up.
[00:18:04] Oh my God.
[00:18:05] Him and great.
[00:18:05] We're going back and forth.
[00:18:06] They're sitting in the back and just, oh my God, it was exactly what you wanted out
[00:18:09] of them.
[00:18:09] So that was really fun.
[00:18:10] That's awesome.
[00:18:11] Yeah.
[00:18:12] Uh, but there was, there was a fairly odd parents panel they thought was going to
[00:18:15] be kind of small.
[00:18:16] So you put in a smaller room.
[00:18:17] Nope.
[00:18:17] It was like standing room only had all the voice actors that were there doing their,
[00:18:21] they were actually like talking to each other in the voices to Cosmo.
[00:18:23] Yeah.
[00:18:24] Like, why would you think that that was going to be small?
[00:18:27] Like, I know.
[00:18:28] It's very popular.
[00:18:29] How's our call?
[00:18:30] How's our call we alone?
[00:18:32] Yeah.
[00:18:32] You know, like, I mean, come on, man.
[00:18:34] The dude played a Crocker.
[00:18:36] He played, um, um, uh, Rocco from Rocco's modern life.
[00:18:40] Like that dude, he's massive.
[00:18:42] Well, to me, it's all about Butch Hartman, which we did have a chance to talk to and is
[00:18:45] a delight.
[00:18:46] Uh, but he's, he did Danny Phantom too.
[00:18:48] And I'm like, ah, I gotta know more about live action Danny Phantom.
[00:18:52] When's that happening?
[00:18:53] They talked about the crossover.
[00:18:54] Like they wanted to do a crossover with fairly odd parents, but it just never got around
[00:18:57] to it.
[00:18:58] Uh, that would have been wild, but yeah.
[00:19:00] And then the Jimmy Neutron crossover.
[00:19:01] It was just such a blast from the past.
[00:19:03] Hearing his voices again.
[00:19:04] So yeah, that was a blast power hour and all that.
[00:19:06] Yeah.
[00:19:06] That's awesome.
[00:19:07] So it was, it was a three day con, right?
[00:19:10] Mm-hmm.
[00:19:11] Were you saying you were there all three days?
[00:19:12] We left the Sunday morning.
[00:19:14] So just kind of poked in and then popped back out.
[00:19:16] It's okay.
[00:19:16] Gotcha.
[00:19:17] So can you, can you walk us through like what your con experience is like?
[00:19:22] Cause you, you were like, you were on our show.
[00:19:24] You're like, Hey, we're going to get an Airbnb.
[00:19:26] We're going to, we're going to live down in San Francisco.
[00:19:28] We're going to make this happen.
[00:19:29] Uh, the, of course the best part's the Airbnb when you guys are, are resting and
[00:19:33] partying the night before or the night after, but anyways, but, uh, as for the con,
[00:19:36] we get there early.
[00:19:37] Uh, you know, we sign up and we, we see who we were going to interview and
[00:19:40] go through all that rigmarole and all that fun stuff.
[00:19:43] And then take as many pictures as possible.
[00:19:45] The, of course, try not to spend too much money at the vendors.
[00:19:48] Good luck on that.
[00:19:49] I did buy Thor three, three seven, which I've been looking for for a long time.
[00:19:52] It's the first appearance of beta.
[00:19:53] Ray Bill.
[00:19:53] And I was like, Oh wow.
[00:19:57] Wait, so that Thor like mighty Thor three, three, seven.
[00:20:01] Yes.
[00:20:01] But it's origin.
[00:20:03] It's his first appearance.
[00:20:04] And, uh, that that's always been my Holy grail.
[00:20:07] And they had it there for a pretty decent deal.
[00:20:08] A hundred bucks, um, ungraded.
[00:20:10] So I'm going to get that thing graded, but yeah, that was, that was big for me.
[00:20:13] Uh, and then yeah, panels the entire time, like you were just jumping around, especially
[00:20:17] day two or three, you were just jumping around from panel to panel.
[00:20:19] Um, I cannot remember his name, but Gimli from Lord of the Rings was there.
[00:20:22] And he had like these old man stories from like Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings
[00:20:27] and just some of his old Jonathan Reese Davies.
[00:20:30] Thank you.
[00:20:31] Perfect.
[00:20:31] Yes.
[00:20:32] And he's 81 years old and spry as could be, he's out there, you know, kind of jumping
[00:20:36] around the stage a little bit as much as he can.
[00:20:39] And, uh, just wonderful.
[00:20:41] Uh, Superman and Lois were there talking about the finale right before the finale came
[00:20:44] out.
[00:20:44] And, uh, it was, it was a blast.
[00:20:47] It was really good.
[00:20:48] That doomsday looked amazing.
[00:20:50] I, why can't DCEU do whatever we're in the DCEU phase.
[00:20:54] Now I don't even care anymore about Snyder.
[00:20:55] I was going to say it's all, it's all going to change at this point, man.
[00:20:59] Yeah.
[00:20:59] But yeah.
[00:21:00] The balance of power in the DC universe is going.
[00:21:01] Yeah.
[00:21:02] And it's coming up.
[00:21:04] Wonder woman.
[00:21:04] That doomsday that was in that show was the most comic book accurate live action version.
[00:21:10] And it was so good.
[00:21:11] Yeah.
[00:21:12] That's all you have to do.
[00:21:13] Watch it.
[00:21:14] I have to go back and watch it now.
[00:21:15] It's so good.
[00:21:16] Yeah.
[00:21:17] Straight up pulled out of the nineties.
[00:21:18] It looks just like he does in the comics.
[00:21:19] It's perfect.
[00:21:19] Containment.
[00:21:20] Oh yeah.
[00:21:20] It's great.
[00:21:21] Yeah.
[00:21:21] Yeah.
[00:21:22] But yeah, it was, it was a great con all around.
[00:21:25] It was very busy.
[00:21:25] I would say probably around 40, 50,000 people.
[00:21:28] It's three floors at San Francisco and the top floor is the main stage, bottom floors, vendors.
[00:21:33] And in the middle, you have like a bunch of different panels going on.
[00:21:36] A bunch of comic book writers there.
[00:21:38] Uh, Donny Cates, um, Larry, I can't remember his name, but the one that invented X-Men, uh, the animated series.
[00:21:44] He did a really good show.
[00:21:45] Oh, Larry Houston.
[00:21:45] Uh, Larry Houston.
[00:21:46] Thank you.
[00:21:47] Yeah.
[00:21:47] I've, I've been in talks with Larry Houston to come on our show for a while.
[00:21:50] And, uh, and then they, they like drop off after a while, but I figured cause he's busy, but I mean like, yeah, he's, he's a, he's a, he's a con, uh, dog.
[00:21:58] He's at all of them, but probably around January is going to loosen up.
[00:22:01] I'm sure.
[00:22:01] Cause that's usually kind of the, the slip in his schedule.
[00:22:05] Yeah.
[00:22:05] He has great stories.
[00:22:06] And my buddy who's there, Thomas, who actually had a chance to interview him at one point, but, uh, he's, he's sitting there in the panel with me and he's like, he literally tells the same stories every single time.
[00:22:16] I'm like, what is my first time?
[00:22:17] Go away.
[00:22:18] Yeah.
[00:22:19] It means when he does eventually come on our show, then, then we just have to write different questions.
[00:22:23] So it's like, Oh my God, I've never been asked that before.
[00:22:25] Like, yes, let's go.
[00:22:26] I will say, I don't know if that's an option because he, once he gets going, he starts bringing out his outline and he just goes, boom, boom, boom.
[00:22:32] It's just knocking him out.
[00:22:34] He's like, it's time to play my video.
[00:22:35] And he plays a video of his friend talking.
[00:22:37] It's just like, you go Larry.
[00:22:39] I know you get those paychecks.
[00:22:40] I'm cool for you.
[00:22:41] That I mean, I'm, yeah, Larry Houston is great, man.
[00:22:43] I spent like a good, like five, 10 minutes talking to him at LA comic-con and was like, dude, you got to come on our show.
[00:22:49] This is, this is great.
[00:22:51] He's great.
[00:22:51] Yeah.
[00:22:52] Frank Miller was there.
[00:22:53] Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to talk to Frank Miller.
[00:22:54] That was, that was on the bingo card, but just so many people there.
[00:22:58] Yeah.
[00:22:59] Gosh, I can't remember any names right now.
[00:23:01] This is such a shame, but Ash Ketchum was there.
[00:23:03] I don't know if I can't just names.
[00:23:05] We thought we sat down with Megan Shipman, who does the voice for Anya on Spy Family.
[00:23:12] She's so down to earth.
[00:23:13] I was really surprised by that actually.
[00:23:15] She does like over a hundred different anime roles for American dubs, you know?
[00:23:19] Yeah.
[00:23:19] So that was neat.
[00:23:20] And yeah, it was just a, it was an excellent con and next year it's going to be in November again at same time, right after Thanksgiving.
[00:23:26] Thanks guys.
[00:23:27] And so we'll be there and hopefully you guys will show up too.
[00:23:30] Yeah.
[00:23:30] Hopefully next year we'll, we'll be able to make that one, you know?
[00:23:33] So it'll be fun.
[00:23:34] James.
[00:23:35] We've got two panels planned to actually host.
[00:23:36] And I would like for you guys to be on them if possible.
[00:23:38] Oh, absolutely, man.
[00:23:39] I'd love that.
[00:23:41] James, get on that now.
[00:23:42] I know.
[00:23:43] Well, I mean, what are we going to do?
[00:23:45] Black Friday.
[00:23:46] I might even.
[00:23:47] Do you shopping there?
[00:23:48] I don't buy anything on Black Friday.
[00:23:50] Let's go.
[00:23:50] Our guys bought D and D dyes, ponchos with Death Note on it.
[00:23:54] Like we, we, we, we emptied out that whole vendor section.
[00:23:57] Maybe there will be a, an Oklahoma contingent next year.
[00:24:02] Right.
[00:24:03] Hopefully.
[00:24:03] There we go.
[00:24:04] I, I don't shop on Black Friday, so I don't, I don't care about that.
[00:24:07] Let's, let's do a con.
[00:24:09] Come on.
[00:24:09] Let's go.
[00:24:10] No, let's make Black Friday actually bearable.
[00:24:13] Yeah.
[00:24:13] No, you know why I don't shop on Black Friday?
[00:24:15] I worked in retail and I know that the stuff they sell on Black Friday is the stuff they
[00:24:18] can't sell for the rest of the year.
[00:24:20] So why am I going to go and, you know, oh yeah, it's cheap, but it's crap.
[00:24:23] It's going to, it's going to die in six months anyways.
[00:24:25] I don't want to hear that.
[00:24:26] Yeah.
[00:24:26] Nowadays they just, they make crap to sell on Black Friday too.
[00:24:29] It's like, oh, you want, you know, cheap TVs that are super cheap.
[00:24:32] No problem.
[00:24:33] They're going to be made out of cardboard.
[00:24:34] Exactly.
[00:24:35] Yeah.
[00:24:35] So you, you said you did a few interviews and whatnot.
[00:24:39] Yeah.
[00:24:40] We, so we did, we call it shotgun interviews where we interview people on the floor about
[00:24:44] like, Hey, you know, what are you excited for?
[00:24:45] That kind of thing.
[00:24:45] Um, and then we did, we interviewed Megan Shipman and then like the main reason I personally
[00:24:50] go is to like set up interviews.
[00:24:53] The rest of the guys are out there and have fun.
[00:24:54] I shout out to them.
[00:24:56] Um, and so we have some coming up that are going to be kind of booked up and stuff like
[00:25:00] that.
[00:25:00] But, but we had one actually, luckily, thank God they gave us a room kind of off to the
[00:25:04] side to go do an interview with Megan.
[00:25:06] And so we don't have a terrible audio on that one.
[00:25:08] Uh, a lot of the other things have terrible audio though, because it's, you're on the
[00:25:12] con floor.
[00:25:12] Right.
[00:25:13] Yeah.
[00:25:13] I mean, um, that's where we get lucky with LA comic-con is they let us use the press
[00:25:17] room.
[00:25:17] So we're able to go in the press room and set up an actual like a podcast set up and
[00:25:21] then we get decent audio.
[00:25:22] So yeah, that's nice.
[00:25:23] This one was really, it was kind of a tall room.
[00:25:25] So it was like a lot of echo, but I just got done editing the episodes coming out tomorrow
[00:25:28] morning and I had to like go through and do all, you know, how does it the post stuff
[00:25:31] and fixing it up?
[00:25:32] So it sounds good now.
[00:25:33] There you go.
[00:25:34] I love it.
[00:25:34] I don't, I don't edit.
[00:25:36] This isn't your first fan expo, right?
[00:25:39] You've been going for a few years now.
[00:25:40] Well, this is the first in San Francisco that I've gone to.
[00:25:43] Uh, we have one of our guys, Drake goes to the one in Denver.
[00:25:46] And so he's been kind of covering the Denver one for us, taking pictures and whatnot.
[00:25:50] But this is the first one I've been to.
[00:25:51] I've been to other conventions, the first fan expo and their investment in San
[00:25:54] Francisco has made me interested in them because I know it's kind of between them and galaxy
[00:25:57] con on who's going to be the new NorCal big dogs.
[00:25:59] Right.
[00:26:00] And we're the winners from that.
[00:26:01] They're just going to keep putting more money into that.
[00:26:03] So I'll be there.
[00:26:05] That's what I was kind of leading to is that I, what is fan expo like compared to the other
[00:26:10] cons that you've been to even, you know, Denver fan expo.
[00:26:15] So I will say, uh, not bad mouthing them in any way.
[00:26:18] They are far, especially like on probably your guys side too.
[00:26:21] Like, you know, I'm talking about where they're a lot more strict about things, taking photos
[00:26:25] of things, uh, recording people a lot more strict than say LA comic con, which is kind
[00:26:29] of like have fun.
[00:26:30] Uh, San Diego comic con is even kind of like, they know that it's all about the press getting
[00:26:34] as many pictures as possible.
[00:26:35] Right.
[00:26:36] And it's was pretty strict on that kind of stuff.
[00:26:37] So we have to work around some rules, but they're pretty cool about it.
[00:26:41] And, um, there are times where they're a little unorganized, which happens at a con.
[00:26:46] I can't imagine running that thing.
[00:26:47] It'd be nuts.
[00:26:48] Yeah.
[00:26:48] Gotcha.
[00:26:49] Gotcha.
[00:26:50] But overall it was a good experience.
[00:26:51] That's awesome.
[00:26:52] Absolutely.
[00:26:52] A blast.
[00:26:53] Yeah.
[00:26:53] And the best part is hanging out with friends.
[00:26:55] If you guys haven't gone to a fan expo, go, uh, if you go and cosplay, you're going
[00:26:58] to find friends that dress in the same cosplay.
[00:27:00] This one had a lot of has been hotel.
[00:27:02] Cause the entire voice cast for has been hotel was there.
[00:27:04] Barely odd parents cosplay.
[00:27:06] Uh, Hayden Christensen was there.
[00:27:07] I didn't get a chance to see him, but there was a lot of Darth Vader's walking around and
[00:27:10] yeah.
[00:27:11] Then of course, as usual, Deadpool's everywhere.
[00:27:13] There's always a Deadpool, but I was missing one Deadpool.
[00:27:16] Yeah.
[00:27:16] And I was like, this hand needs to slap some ass.
[00:27:19] Yeah.
[00:27:19] Where's my Deadpool?
[00:27:21] Yeah.
[00:27:21] I wasn't there.
[00:27:22] It's his non-existent ass.
[00:27:23] Yeah.
[00:27:24] My non-existent ass.
[00:27:26] If you, if you see my ass, it's not there.
[00:27:28] Uh, you know, sometimes I wish I had my wife's ass, but I mean,
[00:27:33] Sometimes you do have your wife's ass.
[00:27:44] You don't want me to yell in it.
[00:27:47] And now I'm probably going to get murdered later.
[00:27:49] So it's fine.
[00:27:50] Oh, no, I was saying that's America's ass.
[00:27:53] There you go.
[00:27:53] Yeah.
[00:27:54] Not my ass.
[00:27:54] America has no ass.
[00:27:55] That's great.
[00:27:56] Oh God.
[00:27:57] Here we go.
[00:27:58] Let's move.
[00:28:00] Let's let's yeah, let's go away from this topic.
[00:28:04] Yeah.
[00:28:04] Yeah.
[00:28:05] Yeah.
[00:28:05] Yeah.
[00:28:05] Well, I wanted to ask more about fan expos and it sounds like part of your team goes
[00:28:10] to the Denver fan expo as well.
[00:28:13] Is that how you got hooked up as press?
[00:28:15] Uh, well, we, oddly enough, we know a guy that runs the Canada version.
[00:28:20] And so through him, we got to San Francisco.
[00:28:23] So it was just like this trickle thing.
[00:28:24] We know John Kirk up at Canada expo that writes for all that.
[00:28:27] They call that fan expo.
[00:28:29] Fan expo.
[00:28:30] Fan expo.
[00:28:30] Yeah.
[00:28:31] Uh, from there we can go down this way.
[00:28:36] Nice.
[00:28:37] Are they from Regina?
[00:28:38] I, you know, I don't know, but if that was the case and I had heard about it, I would
[00:28:41] not have let him not hear the end of it.
[00:28:43] So I doubt that's the case.
[00:28:44] Uh, there's, there's a IGN live is a new convention too that, that we participated this
[00:28:50] year.
[00:28:50] It's their first time they're trying to replace E3.
[00:28:52] And that's what I want to put on your guys' radar.
[00:28:54] If you haven't heard about IGN live, it's brand new.
[00:28:56] They're really trying things out, but like literally they're like, so what'd you think
[00:28:59] about this convention?
[00:29:00] What can we do to improve?
[00:29:01] And I freaking love that because then it's more hands on.
[00:29:05] It's like kind of like getting it on the Kickstarter.
[00:29:06] Yeah.
[00:29:07] Are they going to do it at Moscone?
[00:29:08] Cause I mean, IGN is based out of San Francisco.
[00:29:10] So I mean like that would make sense for them to do it at Moscone.
[00:29:13] I wish they did.
[00:29:14] They were down in LA at the magic box theater, but it would be nice if they did it up here.
[00:29:18] Uh, but because of the whole E3 thing and probably didn't want it to be near game studios.
[00:29:21] Yeah.
[00:29:21] They would did it down there.
[00:29:22] Okay.
[00:29:23] I mean, that makes sense.
[00:29:24] You know, I mean, they, they do have, I know they have a lot of correspondence that,
[00:29:27] that are in LA.
[00:29:28] Um, even though they're based out of San Francisco.
[00:29:30] So yeah, nice.
[00:29:32] So that's, that's what next year is going to be a bunch of cons and hopefully, hopefully
[00:29:35] we'll tag up on a couple of them for sure.
[00:29:37] Exactly.
[00:29:37] No, man, the more, the more collaborations we do, the better.
[00:29:40] So I'm, I'm always down.
[00:29:41] So what was your biggest takeaway from fan expo?
[00:29:45] Like your, what is your biggest, like, God, I'm so glad this has happened.
[00:29:48] And then what is like, uh, maybe a surprise that happened?
[00:29:51] Like, Ooh, I met this.
[00:29:52] Are you asking him what he stole from fan expo?
[00:29:55] Yes.
[00:29:55] No, I am not.
[00:29:56] That's what I want to know.
[00:29:56] I do have some cutouts that I probably shouldn't have, but my biggest takeaway, uh, the, the
[00:30:04] panels were above and beyond from what I've had in the past.
[00:30:07] I mean, specifically because I think other panels I've seen are generally like pretty
[00:30:12] high end panels.
[00:30:13] Um, how do I explain this?
[00:30:14] Even though like the lower end path, I don't mean to be mean by like lower end panels as
[00:30:18] I'm like, I will be doing one of these lower end panels, extra kind of thing.
[00:30:20] Um, we're very interesting.
[00:30:22] You know, I, the civil rights of the star Wars universe, like can and or Cassian sue the
[00:30:26] Empire.
[00:30:26] That was is so interesting.
[00:30:28] That sounds awesome.
[00:30:30] Right?
[00:30:30] Yeah.
[00:30:31] That's amazing.
[00:30:32] Yeah.
[00:30:33] And so that was just, that blew me away.
[00:30:35] Of course the celebrities were cool too.
[00:30:36] Um, I mean, like to keep in mind, you always have to remember and I'm tangenting already.
[00:30:41] Uh, always have to keep in mind to remember that, um, they are technically in Cassian
[00:30:47] Andor's time, right?
[00:30:48] In a fascistic government.
[00:30:49] Yeah.
[00:30:50] So he can't sue the empire because it came down to a scene where he got tortured.
[00:30:56] I remember him explaining like, this is actually part of this cut.
[00:31:00] This planet's he, he did a great job.
[00:31:01] There's a whole like PowerPoint presentation.
[00:31:03] Right.
[00:31:03] We're talking about like galactic laws.
[00:31:06] You know, I love a good PowerPoint.
[00:31:06] That's me in about 20 years.
[00:31:08] But it's also, he got tortured.
[00:31:09] Yeah.
[00:31:10] It's also, he got tortured in a galactic prison.
[00:31:12] That is, uh, the, the, the prison itself was under Imperial rule, which means you're
[00:31:19] under the fact he's in a concentration camp essentially.
[00:31:22] Exactly.
[00:31:22] You know what, Phil, you should have been there to defend your point.
[00:31:26] Yeah.
[00:31:26] Yeah.
[00:31:27] And you weren't.
[00:31:28] So.
[00:31:29] You lose.
[00:31:31] No Supreme court for you.
[00:31:33] It's not to defend the point.
[00:31:34] It's just basically saying that Cassian can't sue because you're in a fascistic government,
[00:31:38] like a fascistic environment.
[00:31:40] Let's, let's be clear.
[00:31:41] Phil would stand up in the back and be like, I'm pro empire.
[00:31:43] I'm pro space.
[00:31:45] I'm not pro empire.
[00:31:46] I'm not pro.
[00:31:47] I mean, I'm not pro empire.
[00:31:48] Obviously I'm sitting here talking about fascism.
[00:31:51] Right?
[00:31:51] So it's like, I mean, I'm, I'm, I'm definitely more, I'm definitely more pro punk than anything.
[00:31:57] You know what I mean?
[00:31:58] Yeah.
[00:32:00] And Cassian is definitely a star Wars punk.
[00:32:03] So I'm with it.
[00:32:04] Yeah.
[00:32:04] I cannot wait for it.
[00:32:06] It's totally punk rock.
[00:32:08] Some of the, so some of the downsides, I would just say that it was, it was chaos, but that's
[00:32:12] kind of normal for a convention, but I think for a newer convention, especially newer to
[00:32:16] the area.
[00:32:17] Anyways, this is only the second year that they did that there, there were things that they
[00:32:21] need to clean up and you know, they'll get there.
[00:32:23] It just takes time.
[00:32:24] It's not a well-oiled machine yet.
[00:32:25] Hopefully it will soon.
[00:32:26] I miss wonder con is my main thing.
[00:32:28] I wish wonder content move down Anaheim.
[00:32:30] And that's just, that sucks for us.
[00:32:31] If it was up here, it's a great convention.
[00:32:33] And unfortunately we have to make do.
[00:32:35] Well, as soon as San Diego bought it, you knew it was going to miss.
[00:32:38] I mean, yeah.
[00:32:39] And then we lost wizard world and all that stuff.
[00:32:41] So yeah.
[00:32:43] Unfortunately.
[00:32:43] Do you go to like, do you go to psych anime and all that stuff around here?
[00:32:48] Yeah.
[00:32:49] Yeah.
[00:32:49] I go and that's always amazing.
[00:32:52] They sometimes they like, I think the last time they had the avatar actors and stuff.
[00:32:55] That was a blast.
[00:32:56] Yeah.
[00:32:56] That's a good one.
[00:32:57] The last airbender or the way of water.
[00:33:00] No, last.
[00:33:00] No, I always mean the last airbender.
[00:33:02] Unless I say the wrong.
[00:33:05] All right.
[00:33:06] Good.
[00:33:06] Cause I can't abide by the other, the avatar way of the water.
[00:33:11] So not the one with the blue people, the one with the blue arrow.
[00:33:15] Right.
[00:33:15] Yeah.
[00:33:16] The dude doesn't abide at all.
[00:33:18] Yeah.
[00:33:19] That dog behind me is literally named ang.
[00:33:21] So trust me, it's definitely avatar.
[00:33:23] Oh, if M night.
[00:33:27] Is it on?
[00:33:29] It is aing.
[00:33:30] Yeah.
[00:33:31] It is definitely not on.
[00:33:31] I'm not shouting in the Lodi theater at the screen right now being a rude attendee, but
[00:33:36] I was back then.
[00:33:38] Oh, okay.
[00:33:39] Nevermind.
[00:33:39] Let's move on.
[00:33:41] It's not on.
[00:33:42] Damn it.
[00:33:43] I was not alone in the theater, by the way.
[00:33:44] Everybody was shouting at that theater.
[00:33:45] Oh yeah.
[00:33:46] Yeah.
[00:33:46] No, to this day, I'm still offended that he called him on.
[00:33:49] Oh, damn near ruined his career.
[00:33:51] He's lucky.
[00:33:52] He came back.
[00:33:52] Yeah.
[00:33:52] But yeah.
[00:33:54] Awesome.
[00:33:55] Well, I'm so happy that you went to Fan Expo and had a chance to report it.
[00:34:00] Next time I want to go with you because you got the in.
[00:34:03] That's awesome.
[00:34:03] You're doing interviews.
[00:34:04] It's amazing.
[00:34:05] It's all about filling out paperwork.
[00:34:07] You guys can do it too.
[00:34:07] You just gotta fill out enough paperwork.
[00:34:09] James, fill out the paperwork, damn it.
[00:34:11] Come on, James.
[00:34:12] I have pens.
[00:34:13] He's our manager.
[00:34:14] Fill it out.
[00:34:14] There you go.
[00:34:16] I have pens.
[00:34:16] As the intern, it is your job to fill out all of the paperwork.
[00:34:21] James is both our manager and PA at the same time.
[00:34:24] So.
[00:34:25] Yes.
[00:34:25] And where is my tea?
[00:34:28] Next year, it's also on Black Friday.
[00:34:31] It is on Black Friday again.
[00:34:32] They announced it as soon as we left and it's like, come on guys, help us out a little
[00:34:36] bit.
[00:34:36] Okay.
[00:34:37] So you were there.
[00:34:37] You experienced it.
[00:34:39] How do you feel about it being on Black Friday, you know, Thanksgiving weekend?
[00:34:43] Is that good or bad for you?
[00:34:45] It's not great for us because we have like, I'm, I don't care.
[00:34:49] I'm single.
[00:34:49] So I'm just like, I go to the parents or whatever, but like people who are hosting Thanksgiving,
[00:34:53] like some of my co-hosts, that sucks for them because the next day they have to go.
[00:34:56] It does start at four o'clock on a Friday.
[00:34:59] And so we get, you could get in at three to do all the paperwork and stuff.
[00:35:03] Um, but that's, that's kind of later.
[00:35:04] So if you really wanted to do your shopping in the morning, you could, and then just drive
[00:35:07] over.
[00:35:08] No, it's not too long of a drive.
[00:35:08] Just camp out in front of the convention center.
[00:35:11] And make that your Black Friday.
[00:35:13] I mean, Best Buy is literally a five minute drive from there.
[00:35:16] I used to work at that Best Buy.
[00:35:17] Yeah.
[00:35:17] There you go.
[00:35:18] Yeah.
[00:35:18] Oh my gosh.
[00:35:19] Okay.
[00:35:19] But that's enough.
[00:35:20] Just go to best way.
[00:35:21] You cannot get games there anymore, but you'll find something.
[00:35:24] I don't know what you can get at Best Buy anymore.
[00:35:25] I think just Pokemon.
[00:35:26] I don't either.
[00:35:26] It's so weird now.
[00:35:28] Yeah.
[00:35:28] I'm so confused.
[00:35:29] And some cards and a refrigerator.
[00:35:31] That's all they sell.
[00:35:32] And like your grandpa's computer, not the computer you'll use, but the one you got for your grandpa.
[00:35:36] Yeah.
[00:35:37] In fact, I believe I did get a laptop for my grandfather at a Best Buy.
[00:35:41] Tax right there.
[00:35:43] I got it.
[00:35:43] Seriously.
[00:35:44] That's yeah.
[00:35:45] I got a laptop for my wife's uncle.
[00:35:46] I can vouch for that.
[00:35:48] That's great.
[00:35:50] But yeah, next year I'll make sure to remind you guys that we got a PC parts.
[00:35:53] There we go.
[00:35:54] To make sure they remind you guys that we got hit the road.
[00:35:56] We're headed to San Francisco.
[00:35:58] I love it.
[00:35:58] Oh yeah.
[00:35:59] Let's plan on hitting a lot of cons.
[00:36:01] We got a little bit of time to start planning.
[00:36:02] Yeah.
[00:36:03] Let's make sure that we have a lot of the same cons.
[00:36:05] That'd be fun.
[00:36:05] So I got to fill this out.
[00:36:07] We have the Capital Creative Showcase that's here in Sacramento.
[00:36:09] That's all about spotlighting the local video game developers.
[00:36:12] We have a very big video game developer community here that people don't know about.
[00:36:16] Yep.
[00:36:16] So we are, we're a partner with them.
[00:36:18] And so I think I told you guys about it last year.
[00:36:20] I'll make sure to remind you guys this year if you guys want to come by and check it out.
[00:36:23] And they are hungry for interviews over there.
[00:36:25] And you're just, you know, it's the local Sacramento people who are just trying to share
[00:36:28] the love that they have for the gaming industry.
[00:36:29] It's a lot of fun.
[00:36:30] Yep.
[00:36:31] Yep.
[00:36:31] SAC geeks.
[00:36:32] We're good friends with the peeps over at SAC geeks.
[00:36:35] Yeah.
[00:36:35] They're wonderful.
[00:36:36] Some of us may be board members.
[00:36:37] Yeah.
[00:36:37] I was going to say, James is sitting here saying like, oh, we're good friends.
[00:36:40] Dude, you're a board member.
[00:36:41] Get out of here.
[00:36:41] Yeah.
[00:36:43] Shout out to-
[00:36:44] You're in bed with the SAC geeks.
[00:36:46] Just say it.
[00:36:46] Yeah.
[00:36:47] They always have a booth there too.
[00:36:48] Shout out to Sandra Betty in the chat who's our newest board member.
[00:36:52] So, you know, it's, it's one thing that SAC geeks likes to do is support the local community.
[00:36:57] So that's cool.
[00:36:58] Yeah.
[00:36:58] Creative group.
[00:36:59] I love it.
[00:37:00] Let's, let's do it.
[00:37:00] I'm into it.
[00:37:01] Yeah.
[00:37:01] All right, Frank.
[00:37:02] Thank you so much.
[00:37:03] If you want to hang out, you're more than welcome to hang out.
[00:37:05] We're going to go over some rumors, some news.
[00:37:07] We're going to do our top five shows of 2024.
[00:37:11] More than welcome to hang out, but we're just going to be hanging out.
[00:37:14] So I appreciate it.
[00:37:15] I have a lot of editing still to do, but I will tune in.
[00:37:17] Thank you guys so much for having me.
[00:37:18] I appreciate it.
[00:37:19] Where can we find those videos?
[00:37:21] Yes.
[00:37:21] Give us all your pluggables, man.
[00:37:23] All the plugs you've got.
[00:37:24] Oh, with a big screen.
[00:37:25] Just Google geek freaks.
[00:37:26] You'll find it all.
[00:37:27] The new episodes coming out tomorrow morning.
[00:37:28] And we also just reviewed skeleton crew that just came out on our sister network, our
[00:37:33] sister show.
[00:37:35] So, okay, wait a minute.
[00:37:36] Yeah.
[00:37:36] So in three words, give us just a tease of skeleton crew.
[00:37:41] And no spoilers, because I have not seen it yet.
[00:37:43] Okay.
[00:37:44] Exactly as advertised.
[00:37:46] Does that make sense?
[00:37:46] Yeah.
[00:37:47] Yeah.
[00:37:48] It kind of is.
[00:37:49] I will give you that.
[00:37:50] It kind of is exactly as advertised.
[00:37:52] There we go.
[00:37:53] Love it.
[00:37:53] Sounds good.
[00:37:54] All right, guys.
[00:37:55] I'll see you around.
[00:37:56] All right, man.
[00:37:56] See you.
[00:37:57] Bye, Frank.
[00:37:58] What a good dude.
[00:37:59] Wow.
[00:38:00] There are four of us.
[00:38:01] Slash.
[00:38:01] Yay.
[00:38:04] That was a lot of fun.
[00:38:06] Top five hosts.
[00:38:06] Top five hosts.
[00:38:07] Top five hosts.
[00:38:08] Four of them are on the screen right now.
[00:38:11] All right.
[00:38:11] Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are going to move on.
[00:38:14] It is now time to start some rumors.
[00:38:17] Is this the new song?
[00:38:19] Yep.
[00:38:23] Get ready.
[00:38:24] Let's go.
[00:38:28] I just want to keep partying.
[00:38:29] That's it.
[00:38:29] Just keep it going.
[00:38:32] This song is so good.
[00:38:33] Then keep it going, Young Phil.
[00:38:35] Do the first one.
[00:38:35] All right.
[00:38:36] I absolutely will.
[00:38:38] Let me make sure I'm on the right screen here.
[00:38:41] I am actually really excited about this.
[00:38:43] So I definitely do want to talk about this rumor specifically.
[00:38:47] You merely adopted the doc.
[00:38:48] I was born in it.
[00:38:50] Let me scratch your back.
[00:38:55] What's the line he says before he breaks his back in the movie?
[00:38:58] He says, um, I was wondering what would break first.
[00:39:01] I didn't want to just break your, you physically.
[00:39:04] I wanted to break your spirit.
[00:39:06] And then he like, isn't that right?
[00:39:07] He goes, I was wondering what would break first your mind or your body.
[00:39:12] And then he breaks his back.
[00:39:14] Yeah.
[00:39:14] And then no, that's the, um, the line you're thinking of is, uh, later on when he's explaining to him what he was doing.
[00:39:20] That's what he says is.
[00:39:21] Yeah, that's what it is.
[00:39:23] I get those mixed up.
[00:39:24] Cause he goes, um, he goes, why didn't you just kill me?
[00:39:27] You don't fear death.
[00:39:29] You welcome it.
[00:39:29] Your punishment must be more severe.
[00:39:32] You know, it's so good.
[00:39:33] Uh, anyways, um, a new Batman anime.
[00:39:38] It's Baines lines in that movie are by far the best lines in the entire movie.
[00:39:42] And the, I would say like of the villains, probably the whole trilogy.
[00:39:47] Uh, definitely most quotable.
[00:39:49] He is very quotable, but so is, I know you hate this, but Heath Ledger's version of the Joker.
[00:39:54] It's between the two of them.
[00:39:55] I don't hate Heath Ledger's version of the Joker.
[00:39:57] It's between the two of them.
[00:39:59] It's like, they both have extremely quotable lines.
[00:40:03] Cause also, you know, uh, you want to know how I got these scars and then the, um, I'm going to make this pencil disappear.
[00:40:10] Like those lines, you know, uh, they both, like both of them are very quotable characters.
[00:40:15] Anyways, uh, a new Batman animated movie trilogy is reportedly in development at DC studios.
[00:40:20] And it's said to be based on Batman nightfall.
[00:40:24] So excited for this because I love that run when it came out.
[00:40:28] That was a really good run.
[00:40:29] I feel like the art could have been better, but you know, that's just me.
[00:40:32] The funny thing is I knew Bane was going to be a massive character when that came out and then they did the movie and I was so upset with it.
[00:40:39] I was young and I had read the comic already and I was really upset with the way that they portrayed Bane in the movie.
[00:40:45] But anyways, the animated DC movie movies were previously produced by Warner Brothers and were part of the DC animated movie universe.
[00:40:53] Now James Gunn and Peter Safran are leading the charge on the animated projects and those being labeled tomorrow verse.
[00:41:00] Oh, that's interesting.
[00:41:02] Yeah. So we do have an opsis.
[00:41:03] If anybody wants to kind of an opsis, watch your back synopsis, kind of an opsis, watch your back synopsis, synopsis.
[00:41:12] I think that we shouldn't call them synopsis if it's in rumors.
[00:41:16] We need to come up with a different name for that.
[00:41:19] Anyway, we'll talk about that later.
[00:41:20] But I think they're synopsizing the comic book is what's going on.
[00:41:23] So I feel uncomfortable calling them synopsis when we are talking rumors.
[00:41:31] Yeah, it's all good.
[00:41:32] Batman Nightfall was published in April of 1993 and the story explores the physical and psychological limits of Bruce Wayne as Batman.
[00:41:41] The story begins as the villain Bane orchestrating the release of Arkham Asylum's inmates creating chaos in Gotham City to wear Batman down.
[00:41:49] As Batman struggles to recapture the escaped criminals, his exhaustion reaches a breaking point.
[00:41:56] Bane exploits his vulnerability, confronting Batman in the Batcave and defeating him in a brutal fight culminating in Bane breaking Batman's back.
[00:42:04] Hence the breaking of the bat.
[00:42:06] With Bruce Wayne down for the count, the mantle of Batman is passed to Jean-Paul Valley, a.k.a. Asriel,
[00:42:12] whose extreme and violent methods alienate allies like Robin and Commissioner Gordon.
[00:42:16] As Bruce eventually recovers, he returns to reclaim his role as Gotham's protector, restoring balance to the city and his own life.
[00:42:25] So tacos on the table. Does the story deserve a trilogy of animated movies?
[00:42:29] May I go first?
[00:42:30] Yes.
[00:42:30] All right. So first of all, I love how they conveniently cut out that Dick Grayson was also Batman in Nightfall.
[00:42:39] Yeah.
[00:42:40] Before fucking Jean-Paul Valley and then after because Batman wasn't quite ready yet after he defeated him.
[00:42:48] Right.
[00:42:48] The little shit.
[00:42:49] Yeah.
[00:42:50] I'm sorry.
[00:42:50] No, no. I agree with you because the thing is, is that Dick, because it's always a signature that when Dick is Batman,
[00:42:56] he's a lot more slender because Batman's really big.
[00:42:59] Uh, and then when Asriel becomes Batman, he was way too violent. He was killing people.
[00:43:05] And he was a big Dorito.
[00:43:07] Yeah. And Dick had to come in and, uh, and, and take up that mantle again until Bruce was ready to, to, to come back in, win the play.
[00:43:14] So a lot of people don't realize that, that there were two, technically there were three people who filled in the mantle, but I mean like, uh, there were multiple people who filled in that mantle while Bruce was down.
[00:43:24] That's right. Just don't forget it. Yeah. Also, if he's in some sort of weird metal Iron Man looking outfit, that is also Jean-Paul because he's an idiot.
[00:43:35] And I don't even, you want to know who is second on my list behind Joker. It's that motherfucker.
[00:43:42] He did more to hurt Batman than anybody else. So yes, I do think that this should be a trilogy of animated movies. My tacos are on the table.
[00:43:55] Mm-hmm .
[00:43:56] I don't think Bane needs to be that big with his shirt off, however. And that's what I had. That was, that was my problem with the art in that.
[00:44:05] And it's the nineties art where everything was just so big. It looked like you literally like took a balloon and like just kept blowing it up and blowing it up and blowing it up until everybody was so huge that they were all fricking strong guy.
[00:44:21] Strong guy can't look cool if everybody else looks like strong guy.
[00:44:27] Okay. I hear you on that. No, I hear you on that. But the other thing is that Bane in himself is supposed to be on a super steroid.
[00:44:34] So I mean like, you know, it, it, it physically makes him large.
[00:44:36] I understand that. But he didn't even have his little things there. And I feel like that's the Bane that was juiced up. He was gin and juice in it.
[00:44:44] Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Bane and juice in it.
[00:44:46] Yeah.
[00:44:46] But I don't see any of those. And do I appreciate that? Did I know exactly what it was from? Absolutely.
[00:44:52] Yeah. I'm just saying that I think the reason that I didn't really appreciate the art, I did love the story and still to this day do and have all of the separate comics.
[00:45:03] And I may have it in graphic novel form as well. But I, I just feel like that the people were way too fricking big.
[00:45:10] She's like, wait, that roided out Cuban is just killing everybody.
[00:45:15] It wasn't just him. Everybody looked like that roided out Cuban. It wasn't just Bane. That's my thing is it's like that. You know what? Give them some differences.
[00:45:24] Yeah. Not everybody is like seven, five and like five feet across. Just, you know, calm down.
[00:45:32] Wow. And it's like, I don't, I don't forgive Schumacher for what he did to Bane. But at the same time, I understand what he did be given somebody who did not read the comic and was just like, oh, here's a new character. We want to be salient. Let's put him in there. It's going to make him a mindless monster. And it's like, no, Bane is one of the most intelligent characters in all of Batman lore. The dude outsmarted Bruce Wayne. Nobody's able to, nobody had been able to do that up to that point.
[00:45:55] Right. Yeah. No, I mean, I like that. I like Bane a lot. I think he's a great character. I love him on. Oh, shit. I totally forgot about another freaking TV show that I love. Damn it. All right. Put it on your, on your, on your honorable mentions list. I am. Yeah, I'm going to have to. So, so we went over on this tangent should do.
[00:46:16] Your tacos on the table, sir. My blue corn tortilla tacos with some black olives in them and a lot of cheddar cheese that are broken in half or snapped in half are on the table.
[00:46:29] With, with venom sauce on them. Yes. Well, it's, it's, I mean, it's, it's venom sauce, but really it's just salsa verde. Yeah. All right. Jamez, are your tacos on the table for this? Your, your volume is off, sir.
[00:46:42] Sorry. I do want to see this story, but I don't know if I need a trilogy for this. I don't know. I guess, I guess I'll let it happen. Like, so I watched the, uh, crisis on infinity.
[00:46:55] On infinite earth. Trilogy that. Yeah. That they just had on, um, or they have all three on max right now. And I liked it and it was nice to get all the little hits of all the different characters.
[00:47:06] I just felt like the story dragged out a little bit. So I don't know. I feel weird about having to say, yes, give me a trilogy of movies for this specific thing. So I don't know. So my tacos are off the table.
[00:47:16] Understandable. Okay.
[00:47:18] My tacos are on the table and, and the, that the reason that my tacos are on the table on this is because if you know the comic, if you know the story and how that story goes, it actually does make sense to do it in the trilogy.
[00:47:29] Cause you can do the first movie being up to the point where Bane breaks Batman's back. The second one, the second one will be a combination of Dick Grayson first taking up the mantle and then Asriel taking the mantle.
[00:47:41] And then Dick Grayson having to fight Asriel because he's a fucking crazy bastard. Right. And then the third movie being Dick Grayson taking the mantle again until Bruce is able to come back and finalizing the story.
[00:47:53] You can break that. You can break that storyline up in three because there's so much that happened in that storyline that it makes sense to do with his three movies.
[00:48:02] I'm all for this. I, I, it's, this is a story that's been needed to have been told for a long time.
[00:48:08] They did a decent job in dark night rises, but it didn't fully like follow the story.
[00:48:14] And I want to see the story as it is supposed to play out.
[00:48:17] All right. Sounds good. Yeah. So moving on to the next rumor here.
[00:48:21] Speaking of Batman is Batman going green.
[00:48:25] Wicked actor, Jonathan Bailey could be in the running to take on the role of Bruce Wayne slash Batman in DC studios, upcoming film, brave and the bold.
[00:48:36] Fans are convinced that Bailey could be a contender because James gun liked a post.
[00:48:42] Oh God.
[00:48:42] For young Phil's reference, the actor is 36 and stands at five 11.
[00:48:48] Oh, so he's my height.
[00:48:49] Yeah.
[00:48:49] I'm not big enough to be Batman.
[00:48:51] He shouldn't be there.
[00:48:53] Wait, you're five 11.
[00:48:54] Five 11.
[00:48:55] You're taller than me.
[00:48:57] A fan shared a post about how gun should find a place for Bailey in the DCU.
[00:49:03] I wondered why the actor is not a more popular fan cast for Batman.
[00:49:06] Paco's on the table.
[00:49:08] Will Prince Fierro cross the yellow brick road to Don the cow.
[00:49:14] I'm young.
[00:49:14] Oh, you started off.
[00:49:15] So I'm looking at him.
[00:49:17] The, the, the dude, I mean, he's got the look.
[00:49:19] I'm like trying to look at just his jawline and it's like, okay, he could, he could pull off Batman.
[00:49:24] He easily could.
[00:49:25] Actually, I'm looking at another picture right here of him and a Shonda Rhimes thing.
[00:49:29] Uh, and like, yeah, like he, he definitely could pull it off.
[00:49:32] I, again, just if you're given, if you're going to compare him to every other actor that's played Batman, they've all been around that same height.
[00:49:38] Uh, I still say that I think that we need, um, six, one Batman, six, one Batman.
[00:49:47] Oh, Alan Rich.
[00:49:48] Alan Rich.
[00:49:49] And I think Alan Rich should be Batman.
[00:49:51] He's got the build.
[00:49:52] He's got the facial features.
[00:49:53] He's got the acting chops.
[00:49:55] Uh, he's got the ass.
[00:49:57] He's got the ass.
[00:49:59] Um, everything about Alan Rich and screams Batman.
[00:50:02] And it's like that dude needs a chance to play.
[00:50:05] Yeah.
[00:50:05] No, no.
[00:50:06] Yep.
[00:50:06] Yep.
[00:50:07] Okay.
[00:50:07] No, that's my vote.
[00:50:08] Yep.
[00:50:08] You know who I like.
[00:50:09] I've said this before.
[00:50:10] I like the guy from masters of the air, not Austin Butler.
[00:50:15] Everybody calm down.
[00:50:17] Not actually Austin Butler.
[00:50:21] He's kind of a skinny dude, but he would be a good, he could play, he could pull it off.
[00:50:24] He's a good actor.
[00:50:25] I think he would be a better Bruce.
[00:50:27] Right.
[00:50:28] I know.
[00:50:29] I think Austin Butler would be a kick-ass Steve Trevor or, or Alan Scott.
[00:50:37] Oh, gee, green lantern.
[00:50:41] I like that fan casting.
[00:50:43] I like him as Alan Scott.
[00:50:45] Oh yeah.
[00:50:45] Yeah.
[00:50:46] I think Alan Scott would be great.
[00:50:47] I think this, oh, he'd be a good Batman or Bruce Wayne.
[00:50:50] No.
[00:50:51] No.
[00:50:52] But I mean, like still again, Alan Rich and I think is my, is, is still always going to
[00:50:55] be my number one choice.
[00:50:57] The dude 100% is the perfect.
[00:51:00] Like he is the fantasy cast for Bruce Wayne.
[00:51:04] I, you know, I have said this.
[00:51:06] I said it on the show.
[00:51:07] I would not hate it.
[00:51:08] I think he might actually, I think he, he's got the build for it.
[00:51:12] I've seen him in other things.
[00:51:14] I'm pretty, I, I'm happy with him doing it.
[00:51:16] I'm looking for the guy that I was telling you all.
[00:51:20] I can never remember this guy.
[00:51:21] I also think that the only problem with Alan Rich and you get a comic book accurate Batman
[00:51:25] and he is going to tower over corn sweat.
[00:51:28] While you're looking that up, why don't we go over everybody else's tacos should do?
[00:51:32] What do you think?
[00:51:33] I don't think that James Gunn liking a post is any evidence to anything.
[00:51:40] Um, so my, hold on, uh, what's like a gray food?
[00:51:46] Tofu?
[00:51:47] Uh, sure.
[00:51:48] The gray stuff, whatever, whatever they ate in, uh, yeah, poi, right?
[00:51:52] Uh, whatever they ate in, uh, Beauty and the Beast, the gray stuff.
[00:51:55] Right.
[00:51:56] Okay.
[00:51:56] You know, whatever.
[00:51:57] My, uh, tacos from the previous answer are, uh, have, have, have healed themselves, uh,
[00:52:04] have taken up their mantle once again and are now off the table.
[00:52:08] Off the table.
[00:52:09] All right.
[00:52:10] Okay.
[00:52:10] What do you think James?
[00:52:11] You know, um, I just saw Wicked and I loved Wicked and I thought Jonathan Bailey was a
[00:52:17] great actor in it and the way he portrayed Prince Fierro and the way he moved around,
[00:52:23] I don't see him as a Batman.
[00:52:25] I actually see him more as like a, a little bit, uh, more adult Dick Grayson.
[00:52:31] Okay.
[00:52:31] Like he has a dance number in it and he was very fluid jumping all over the place.
[00:52:35] It was very much a Dick Grayson type, type dance.
[00:52:38] So I say, I say tacos are off the table on this.
[00:52:42] Yeah.
[00:52:42] Looking at pictures of him.
[00:52:43] Okay.
[00:52:44] Cause again, as soon as they, we brought it up, I looked at pictures of him and he is a
[00:52:47] very slender athletic looking guy.
[00:52:49] Uh, as Batman should be like big and imposing.
[00:52:52] So, um, and I'm looking at the tweet itself.
[00:52:55] It's not actually like calling for Jonathan Bailey to be Batman.
[00:52:59] It's just saying that he should have a, be a character in the DCU.
[00:53:03] Uh, my tacos are off the table.
[00:53:04] I don't, I don't think that he is going to be Batman.
[00:53:06] And especially just because James Gunn liked the tweet.
[00:53:09] I think that's a stupid reason to, for the rumor to exist.
[00:53:12] You know what?
[00:53:13] James Gunn might be considering him for something else, or he may have just watched Wicked and
[00:53:17] thought, you know what?
[00:53:18] This Jonathan Bailey kid, he's good people.
[00:53:20] Yeah.
[00:53:20] I'm going to like this.
[00:53:21] I think, I think he eventually will be cast in the DCU as a character at some point.
[00:53:27] But again, I think he's going to be more of an athletic character.
[00:53:30] I think he's going to be more of a Robin, whether it's depending on where in the timeline they're
[00:53:36] going.
[00:53:36] I mean, he could be an adult Dick Grayson or he can be, um, an older Tim Drake.
[00:53:41] I mean, it is Raven the Bold and it's all about Bruce and Damien.
[00:53:46] So we're going to have, if Dick Grayson's in it, we're going to have an older Dick Grayson.
[00:53:50] Yeah.
[00:53:51] It's, I would not mind him as an older Dick Grayson.
[00:53:53] I'm totally on board with that.
[00:53:55] Like him as Nightwing, I think would be fine.
[00:53:57] As much as I want Nightwing to be Asian, uh, I think that this would be fine.
[00:54:01] He's kind of got the look for Dick Grayson.
[00:54:03] Again, I think he'd be a good Red Robin.
[00:54:05] Mmm.
[00:54:05] Red Robin.
[00:54:06] Yes.
[00:54:07] Uh, I think he'd be a good Red Robin because I think that, uh, Tim Drake, when Tim Drake
[00:54:12] takes the mantle of Red Robin and he's just beating people with a bow staff, I think that
[00:54:17] would be kind of cool too.
[00:54:18] And I think Jonathan Bailey looks like he's, they said what, he's 35?
[00:54:21] 36.
[00:54:22] 36.
[00:54:22] Okay.
[00:54:23] No, he probably is more of a Dick Grayson.
[00:54:24] So.
[00:54:25] So afraid, did you figure out who you were talking about?
[00:54:28] Nate, man.
[00:54:28] The guy's name is Nate, man.
[00:54:30] He played bro.
[00:54:31] And in masters of the air.
[00:54:33] Look him up.
[00:54:34] He's got, he's got a superhero.
[00:54:35] Oh yeah.
[00:54:36] I see it.
[00:54:37] I can see it.
[00:54:38] That is a, okay.
[00:54:39] That is a Batman jawline.
[00:54:41] Yes.
[00:54:41] I'm telling you.
[00:54:42] I know this.
[00:54:43] That is a Batman jawline.
[00:54:44] James Gunn wanted me, you know, James Gunn, just talk to me.
[00:54:47] I will be happy to help you cast your movies.
[00:54:49] Also looking at Jonathan Bailey.
[00:54:51] Sorry.
[00:54:52] I was going to say, also looking at Jonathan Bailey.
[00:54:54] He definitely has Dick Grayson hair.
[00:54:55] He does.
[00:54:56] We just, you know what we need to do?
[00:54:58] And I'm not, I hate being this person.
[00:55:01] We got to check out his ass.
[00:55:02] Ah, there you go.
[00:55:03] And you know what?
[00:55:04] You know who should tell us?
[00:55:05] Nicola Scott.
[00:55:07] Cause she's the one that did that viral thing.
[00:55:09] Dick Grayson's butt.
[00:55:11] Anyway.
[00:55:12] Let's move on to the next story here, guys.
[00:55:15] It's a me.
[00:55:16] Mario.
[00:55:16] Oh, no.
[00:55:17] Nintendo rumors.
[00:55:19] It's me, Mario.
[00:55:21] A new Nintendo rumor has hit the internet with a price and release date of that coming console.
[00:55:28] Nintendo itself has only confirmed that it's, it does have a new console in the works and will reveal it at some point at the end of March, 2025.
[00:55:37] I don't know why March, 2025.
[00:55:38] 2025.
[00:55:40] Because February is the end of the fiscal year in March is the beginning of the start of the next fiscal year.
[00:55:48] Yeah.
[00:55:48] So that's why.
[00:55:48] That's the end of the quarter.
[00:55:49] So that makes sense.
[00:55:50] Yeah.
[00:55:50] Oh, the quarter.
[00:55:52] Fourth quarter.
[00:55:53] End of the fiscal year.
[00:55:54] Nothing else related to the hardware eventual cost or revival date has been provided, though they are saying the price of the switch to is Nintendo aiming for a cost between 400 and 450.
[00:56:08] That's a lot of money.
[00:56:10] That's a lot of money.
[00:56:11] Is that when you get two switches switch to?
[00:56:14] I wish it was two switches for that price.
[00:56:16] Talk goes on the table.
[00:56:17] Will you be turtle shelling out $450 for a Nintendo switch to?
[00:56:23] No.
[00:56:23] Turtle.
[00:56:24] I know.
[00:56:25] I'm not a Nintendo person and mostly because Frey isn't.
[00:56:30] You liked the Wii.
[00:56:32] I know I did.
[00:56:33] That was different.
[00:56:34] We were just scared.
[00:56:35] You were going to take out all the televisions.
[00:56:38] Just throw all the controls and everything.
[00:56:41] Well, I mean, that's fair.
[00:56:43] It's like when you played tennis and, you know, and his hands were so little that his little wrists, you couldn't get those things like little enough for his wrists.
[00:56:55] That's why they invented duct tape.
[00:56:57] I have small.
[00:56:58] I still have very small wrists.
[00:57:00] He does.
[00:57:01] Yeah.
[00:57:01] Anyway.
[00:57:02] Oh, he's a little guy?
[00:57:04] He's got little wrists.
[00:57:06] He's got little wrists.
[00:57:08] God damn it.
[00:57:10] Why do I do this to myself?
[00:57:11] James.
[00:57:12] James.
[00:57:13] So, James definitely will get two because then there's one for each twin.
[00:57:17] Yeah.
[00:57:17] But then we have a third kid.
[00:57:19] So.
[00:57:20] Yeah.
[00:57:20] Well, then he gets to use it when they're not using it, which would be never.
[00:57:23] He gets the PlayStation 5.
[00:57:24] Yeah.
[00:57:25] He gets the PS5 because he's older.
[00:57:27] They'll get the third end of the switch.
[00:57:29] I don't know.
[00:57:30] $450 for a switch, too?
[00:57:32] Are you guys?
[00:57:33] Mm-mm.
[00:57:34] You know, it's funny.
[00:57:34] You were talking about getting a switch a while ago.
[00:57:36] And I was saying that I was going to wait for the new generation to come out.
[00:57:40] But, I mean, even then, it's like, oh, God.
[00:57:42] Like, do I really want to spend that much?
[00:57:45] Because, I mean, I can't afford it right now to begin with.
[00:57:47] But, I mean, still, you know.
[00:57:48] Like, I want to get a switch.
[00:57:50] There's games that I want to play on the switch.
[00:57:52] I mean, there's games I want to play on PlayStation.
[00:57:53] But I can't.
[00:57:54] I can only afford one console when I chose Xbox.
[00:57:56] Yeah.
[00:57:56] What is this whole Animal Crossing thing?
[00:57:58] I have never heard.
[00:57:59] Animal Crossing is amazing.
[00:57:59] I've never played Animal Crossing.
[00:58:01] Animal Crossing is amazing.
[00:58:02] I played that back in the day on Super Nintendo.
[00:58:05] So good.
[00:58:07] So, anyway.
[00:58:08] So, it's actually happening, though.
[00:58:10] Yeah.
[00:58:10] So, they're saying.
[00:58:11] Well, I mean, it's still in the rumors.
[00:58:12] But they're saying that Nintendo is confirming that there is going to be a console in March of 25.
[00:58:18] But they haven't confirmed that it is.
[00:58:19] It's an announcement.
[00:58:21] Yeah.
[00:58:21] March of 25.
[00:58:23] Now, the thing is, does that mean it's a new console generation?
[00:58:26] Is it an update to their current system?
[00:58:28] Because, remember, the last two times that rumors have popped out and said new console coming out, it was the OLED screen for the Switch.
[00:58:36] Like, it's.
[00:58:36] Right.
[00:58:37] You know.
[00:58:37] So, it's like, does that mean that it is a console generation update?
[00:58:42] Or are they doing a late mid-life console upgrade?
[00:58:47] Oh, are they having a mid-life console crisis?
[00:58:50] Yeah.
[00:58:50] Well, no.
[00:58:50] So, PlayStation is putting out their mid-life console, which is an entirely new console.
[00:58:57] They just don't want to call it a PS6.
[00:59:00] They're calling it the PS5 Pro.
[00:59:01] But it has no backwards compatibility and you can't play regular PS5 games on it.
[00:59:06] What?
[00:59:07] It's dumb.
[00:59:08] That is dumb.
[00:59:09] Yeah.
[00:59:10] Anyway, I don't know.
[00:59:13] I'm thinking that this will instead be, yeah, some sort of update to it.
[00:59:18] It'll be like a, you know, Nintendo Switch S or Pro or whatever.
[00:59:23] Yeah.
[00:59:24] I agree.
[00:59:25] I mean, even then, Switch Pro would be like a new console, right?
[00:59:29] Yeah.
[00:59:29] It would be a new console because they're not going to call it the Switch 2 and it will probably be something a little different.
[00:59:34] I'm personally hoping for Super Switch.
[00:59:37] Mmm.
[00:59:38] Because that would be in line with Super Nintendo.
[00:59:41] Yeah, that would be fun.
[00:59:42] All right.
[00:59:43] I'm predicting it's going to be called Nintendo Switcheroo.
[00:59:47] That's where I'm saying it's going to win.
[00:59:48] It's going to win.
[00:59:49] Switcheroo.
[00:59:50] So, anyway, so my three-part tacos are on the table that you can take two off of and use them for other things and then put them back on.
[00:59:59] They are on the, they were on the table.
[01:00:01] They're coming off the table because I don't think it's going to be a Nintendo Switch 2 necessarily.
[01:00:05] All right.
[01:00:06] My tacos are on the table because do I think that they're coming out with a new console generation in March 25?
[01:00:14] 100%.
[01:00:15] I already said no.
[01:00:17] Yeah.
[01:00:18] All right.
[01:00:18] Will I be paying $4.50 for it?
[01:00:20] Fuck no.
[01:00:22] Absolutely not.
[01:00:23] All right.
[01:00:24] Moving on to the last story here.
[01:00:25] Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale Moon Knight?
[01:00:29] As of right now, no official plans have been revealed regarding the future of Moon Knight Season 2 or a future film.
[01:00:35] A new report says that the character might return for three big Marvel movies.
[01:00:39] The current plan is for Moon Knight to return for Avengers Doomsday, Avengers Secret Wars, and the long-rumored Midnight Suns movie.
[01:00:48] Yes.
[01:00:48] This news comes a few weeks after Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab said there have yet been no talks over the Marvel character's future, but he also doesn't think we've seen the last of him yet.
[01:00:58] There are no other details on how the character would be utilized in the Avengers films, but he would have a big role to play in Midnight Suns, which was reportedly being directed by Michael Giacchino, the director behind Marvel's horror special Willow by Night.
[01:01:09] So, tacos on the table.
[01:01:11] Will Moon Knight make an MCU reappearance in those three films, and will we see Contra again?
[01:01:17] I'll go.
[01:01:18] My tacos are on the table because I think the way Marvel's going to work, instead of giving top billing to certain people, I think they're just going to sprinkle these characters into these various films and series, and we're going to see a lot of that moving forward.
[01:01:35] So, their contracts are going to be not going to be like, all right, we have Oscar Isaacs for these three movies.
[01:01:41] I think they're going to say, hey, we're going to use you for this, this, and this.
[01:01:44] Sign the contract for whatever amount.
[01:01:46] Yes?
[01:01:46] Go.
[01:01:46] Okay, done.
[01:01:47] Go.
[01:01:47] I feel like that.
[01:01:47] So, I think they're going to restructure how they do movie contracts and film or show contracts.
[01:01:53] Cool.
[01:01:53] All right.
[01:01:54] I was going to say, my tacos are 100% on the table just because at the end of the first season, they left it open.
[01:02:01] We saw Jake at the very end in the post-credit scenes.
[01:02:05] So, it's like, you know, there's still a story to tell with Jake Lockley because it's like, we were waiting for him all season.
[01:02:11] We knew he was there, and it was implied that he was causing mayhem the entire time.
[01:02:15] So, you know, I would love to see not just another season, but like, I want to see more Moon Knight.
[01:02:23] Like, he's just so cool of a character.
[01:02:26] And if Midnight Suns ever happens, he has to be a part of that.
[01:02:29] He's a founding member of Midnight Suns.
[01:02:30] I really enjoyed the show.
[01:02:32] It is in my, I think it's in my top five of Marvel shows.
[01:02:35] Yeah.
[01:02:37] And, yeah, I agree.
[01:02:39] My wrapped demigod tacos that are full of coarse, rough, and irritating sand are indeed on the table.
[01:02:50] Sand.
[01:02:51] It's sand.
[01:02:51] Coarse, rough.
[01:02:53] It gets everywhere.
[01:02:56] Jen.
[01:02:59] So, I'm going to say yes.
[01:03:02] The tacos are on the table.
[01:03:05] Loved Moon Knight.
[01:03:06] Loved Oscar Isaac's portrayal of Moon Knight.
[01:03:09] Let's fucking go.
[01:03:10] Let's fucking go.
[01:03:11] Let's fucking go.
[01:03:12] All right.
[01:03:13] Well, ladies and gentlemen, I believe that is it for the rumors for this week.
[01:03:16] Mm-hmm.
[01:03:16] Woo.
[01:03:17] All right.
[01:03:18] Let's jump into the news because it is time for, I'm in the wrong place and I can't press the button.
[01:03:25] It is time for the download.
[01:03:35] For more news, more trailers, more reactions, check out the Distance Nerdington post on Facebook.
[01:03:42] Let us know what you're nerding out on, what shows you're watching.
[01:03:46] And actually, I just posted like five different trailers today.
[01:03:49] So, go check them out on Distance Nerdington post on Facebook.
[01:03:52] Let us know your top five shows of 2020 and for.
[01:03:55] There you go.
[01:03:55] Yeah.
[01:03:56] There we go.
[01:03:56] So, how many lions are there?
[01:04:02] There's a lot of cats.
[01:04:03] Five mini-bots that come together to make one super-bot.
[01:04:07] Anywhere.
[01:04:09] Laura Gordon and Tim Griffin are the latest two actors to join the cast of Amazon NGM Studios' live action Voltron movie.
[01:04:19] They will star alongside the previously cast Henry Cavill and Sterling K. Brown.
[01:04:25] What the what?
[01:04:26] Yeah.
[01:04:27] Sterling K. Brown is in it?
[01:04:29] Yeah.
[01:04:29] And Henry Cavill.
[01:04:30] It's like.
[01:04:31] Yeah.
[01:04:31] With a capital K.
[01:04:32] With a capital K.
[01:04:32] With a capital K.
[01:04:33] Sterling K. Brown.
[01:04:35] Yeah.
[01:04:35] Is a get people.
[01:04:36] That's a bit of a bit of a deal.
[01:04:37] Are you ready to roar over the Voltron project?
[01:04:40] Are they lions?
[01:04:41] Like, is that their thing?
[01:04:43] They actually.
[01:04:43] Are they all lions or some of them are not lions?
[01:04:47] Are they all big cats?
[01:04:48] It depends on what version of Voltron we're getting.
[01:04:50] Because like the original Voltron, they're all lion bots in the remake version that they did.
[01:04:56] They're just like cars.
[01:04:57] Oh.
[01:04:58] Oh.
[01:04:58] So they're like transformer knockoffs.
[01:05:00] Not.
[01:05:01] Not even that.
[01:05:02] Because they're.
[01:05:02] But are they always cars?
[01:05:04] No.
[01:05:05] We're not talking about that.
[01:05:07] I wasn't going to go there.
[01:05:08] They're cars.
[01:05:09] They're cars, but they don't turn into people.
[01:05:11] They turn into appendages of a giant robot.
[01:05:14] I see.
[01:05:14] That is controlled by the five drivers of their vestigial cars.
[01:05:18] I see.
[01:05:18] Yeah.
[01:05:19] It's basically think Power Rangers, right?
[01:05:20] It's the.
[01:05:21] It's the Megazord.
[01:05:23] Cool.
[01:05:23] All right.
[01:05:25] Anyway.
[01:05:25] Cool.
[01:05:25] That sounds.
[01:05:26] That sounds cool.
[01:05:27] Yeah.
[01:05:27] All right.
[01:05:28] All right.
[01:05:28] It's a bird.
[01:05:29] It's a plane.
[01:05:30] It's a documentary.
[01:05:32] A documentary.
[01:05:33] A documentary.
[01:05:34] A documentary.
[01:05:34] If you didn't get a chance to see the incredible documentary Superman.
[01:05:37] Superman, the Christopher Reeve story in theaters.
[01:05:40] It was recently announced that it's coming to max.
[01:05:44] All right.
[01:05:44] Max.
[01:05:45] From IMAX to Max.
[01:05:46] It's currently at 98% approval from critics and audience alike on Rotten Tomato.
[01:05:52] And we just don't like those 2%.
[01:05:54] The 2% people.
[01:05:56] We don't like those people.
[01:05:57] Yeah.
[01:05:57] All right.
[01:05:58] I do have a.
[01:05:58] It's a bird.
[01:05:59] It's a plane.
[01:06:00] It's up.
[01:06:01] Up and away.
[01:06:02] Synopsis.
[01:06:02] It's a bird.
[01:06:03] It's a plane.
[01:06:04] Op.
[01:06:05] Up and away.
[01:06:06] Synopsis.
[01:06:08] Synopsis.
[01:06:10] The story of Christopher Reeve is an astonishing rise from unknown actor to iconic movie star
[01:06:17] and his definitive portrayal of Clark Kent slash Superman set the benchmark for the superhero
[01:06:22] cinematic universes that dominate cinema today.
[01:06:26] It's a really good point.
[01:06:27] I like that.
[01:06:27] Yeah.
[01:06:27] Reeve portrayed the man of steel in four Superman films and played dozens of other roles that
[01:06:33] displayed his talent and range as an actor before being injured in a near fatal horse
[01:06:39] riding accident in 1995 that left him paralyzed from the neck down.
[01:06:42] After becoming a quadriplegic, he became a charismatic leader and activist in the quest to find a cure
[01:06:49] of spinal cord injuries as well as a passionate advocate for disability rights and care all
[01:06:55] while continuing his career in cinema in front of and behind the camera and dedicating himself
[01:07:01] to his beloved family.
[01:07:03] Superman.
[01:07:03] The Christopher Reeve story flies onto Max December 7th.
[01:07:08] And I am 100% watching that when it comes out.
[01:07:11] It's a little reductive to say that he was an unknown actor before Superman because that is untrue.
[01:07:17] Mm-hmm.
[01:07:18] Oh, yeah.
[01:07:19] It is.
[01:07:19] It's untrue.
[01:07:20] He was in several things before Superman.
[01:07:23] He was in Mousetrap with Michael Caine.
[01:07:28] I'm Michael Caine.
[01:07:29] I'm Michael Caine.
[01:07:29] He was in several things.
[01:07:31] I'm just saying somewhere in time, he was in that prior to Superman.
[01:07:37] James, you're messed up.
[01:07:39] That's good.
[01:07:40] You're correct.
[01:07:41] I mean, what it was is this is what put his career on the map in all reality.
[01:07:46] Right.
[01:07:46] He was our generation's Chris Evans.
[01:07:49] Mm-hmm.
[01:07:50] Except Chris Evans is kind of also our generation, but it's a weird time right now.
[01:07:55] So.
[01:07:56] Whatever.
[01:07:57] Well, let's move on to the next story here.
[01:08:02] I'm sorry.
[01:08:03] Hey there, Frey.
[01:08:04] Way to bring down everything.
[01:08:06] No, it's not that.
[01:08:08] We are putting Shadu on the spot right now.
[01:08:11] All right.
[01:08:12] Okay.
[01:08:14] Here we go.
[01:08:15] All right.
[01:08:16] I can do this.
[01:08:17] In underwhelming news.
[01:08:19] Oh, God.
[01:08:20] Sony Pictures has released the first eight minutes of an upcoming Marvel movie, Kraven the Hunter.
[01:08:24] This clip was originally played at New York Comic Con for fans.
[01:08:27] It features Kraven being transported with a group of prisoners across the cold and snowy Russian landscape to a prison in the middle of nowhere.
[01:08:34] He infiltrates the prison to take out a mob boss.
[01:08:37] That's all we have.
[01:08:37] Coming off the biggest Thanksgiving box office we can ever, does Kraven keep you going to the theaters?
[01:08:41] The answer is no.
[01:08:42] No, he does not.
[01:08:44] Kraven the Hunter will roar into theaters on December 13th, 2024, unfortunately.
[01:08:49] Okay.
[01:08:49] What?
[01:08:49] No, no.
[01:08:50] So I get what they're trying to do.
[01:08:51] Sony, Sony's not understanding what the hell is going on as usual, right?
[01:08:56] Like their whole thing is everybody is going to want to go see this movie.
[01:09:00] Everybody is going to want to go see Kraven the Hunter.
[01:09:03] They're going to want to go see it a thousand times.
[01:09:04] Look, I get you guys.
[01:09:05] You guys think it's a good movie on its own.
[01:09:08] But the problem is if this was not a Kraven the Hunter movie, it'd probably be a fine movie, right?
[01:09:14] But it's Kraven the Hunter and you're bastardizing the character and that's what's pissing people off.
[01:09:19] And Sony doesn't understand that.
[01:09:21] Perfect.
[01:09:21] Yeah.
[01:09:22] Like Sony just doesn't understand that, that it's not about Kraven.
[01:09:27] It's the fact that you guys are trying to shoehorn an action movie that probably would be fine on its own,
[01:09:33] but make it Kraven the Hunter and you're bastardizing the character's backstory in order to make it so that you guys can make something you think is great.
[01:09:40] And it's like this is Sony.
[01:09:42] And keep the Spidey brand.
[01:09:43] Right.
[01:09:43] And it's like, and Sony just does not understand Spider-Man.
[01:09:47] It's like the character is good on his own.
[01:09:49] You don't have to change the entirety of his background.
[01:09:52] Nobody wants a radioactive lion bite that turns this dude into Kraven the Hunter.
[01:09:58] Yeah.
[01:09:59] Just make it.
[01:10:01] Before you start screwing with it, make the original recipe.
[01:10:05] Right.
[01:10:06] You have to know the rules to break them.
[01:10:09] Ooh, look at you.
[01:10:10] That was good.
[01:10:11] Yes.
[01:10:12] Yes, that was great.
[01:10:13] I think we should move on after that because I don't think anybody could say anything that's better than that.
[01:10:17] Wait, did anybody watch the eight minutes of Kraven?
[01:10:20] No.
[01:10:21] Aw.
[01:10:22] I did.
[01:10:23] I watched it today.
[01:10:24] Well, you're a sadomasochist and we all know that.
[01:10:29] James, like I said, it looks like it will be a fine action movie on its own, but making it a Kraven movie is what the problem that people have with this movie is.
[01:10:40] Mm-hmm.
[01:10:41] Mm-hmm.
[01:10:41] Were it an action movie on its own that had nothing to do with Marvel, it probably would be like the action movie of the summer, of the winter, I guess.
[01:10:51] So I watched the eight minutes and it was fine until they started talking and then it was just bad.
[01:10:57] It was not fun.
[01:10:59] But like the action in it.
[01:11:00] I just want to start actually acting.
[01:11:02] Yeah.
[01:11:02] The action in it was really cool.
[01:11:04] The way he moved, it was very parkour.
[01:11:07] It was, I liked it a lot.
[01:11:08] I was like, ooh, that's pretty cool.
[01:11:09] I like those moves.
[01:11:10] But then he started talking and like, oh, that kind of ruins it.
[01:11:13] Yeah.
[01:11:14] Instead of moves like Jagger, he had moves like a Jaguar.
[01:11:18] Yeah.
[01:11:18] Yes, absolutely.
[01:11:19] He was bare-waring.
[01:11:22] The final conclusion here is that Sony is Kraven.
[01:11:25] It's Kraven for your money.
[01:11:26] Yeah.
[01:11:26] Sony is-
[01:11:27] Well, Kraven as in like-
[01:11:29] Cowardly.
[01:11:29] Yeah.
[01:11:30] Cowardly.
[01:11:30] Yeah.
[01:11:31] Yeah.
[01:11:31] Yeah.
[01:11:32] Speaking of eight minutes.
[01:11:33] Make Kraven the way it should be, you cowards.
[01:11:36] And we're moving on.
[01:11:37] Yes.
[01:11:37] You know, we also got eight minutes of the new Lord of the Rings animated movie.
[01:11:42] I don't know if you guys saw that.
[01:11:42] Oh, that one I didn't see.
[01:11:43] War of Rohirrim.
[01:11:44] Yeah.
[01:11:44] I didn't see that.
[01:11:45] I've been wanting to see that, actually.
[01:11:49] I don't know if I can watch like the, oh, eight minutes of this or ten minutes of that
[01:11:53] because I want to watch it all at the same time.
[01:11:55] So, I don't really watch stuff like that on the Rags.
[01:11:58] Yeah.
[01:11:58] They do that because they want people to like, you know, it's like, oh, nobody wants
[01:12:03] to go watch this movie.
[01:12:04] How do we build hype around it?
[01:12:06] Right.
[01:12:06] Give them eight minutes.
[01:12:08] Which is stupid because we do.
[01:12:09] Yeah.
[01:12:10] Have they learned nothing from dating?
[01:12:13] No.
[01:12:13] No.
[01:12:14] Clearly.
[01:12:14] I don't know.
[01:12:15] I watched both eight minute clips from Kraven and from the War of the Rohirrim.
[01:12:21] And I liked it.
[01:12:22] War of the Rohirrim looks fine.
[01:12:23] I'm excited for that.
[01:12:24] It was cool.
[01:12:25] Yeah.
[01:12:25] I was like, I want to know.
[01:12:26] Because it gave me that little taste of like, how are they going to handle Lord of
[01:12:30] the Rings and push it forward?
[01:12:32] And it gave me that little taste of it.
[01:12:34] I'm like, oh, okay.
[01:12:34] I dig this.
[01:12:36] I can get into this.
[01:12:37] Yeah.
[01:12:37] So, you know, there's a smell in this house and I feel like so.
[01:12:40] I think it's because Sony, you know, I have that really sensitive smeller and it smells
[01:12:45] like desperation.
[01:12:47] That's what it's always been.
[01:12:50] Speaking of desperation.
[01:12:51] Speaking of desperation.
[01:12:52] I mean, not really.
[01:12:56] Let's get it.
[01:12:57] Let's get into this because we do have like a whole other segment we got to do.
[01:13:00] So it's the giving season and we're giving this to me.
[01:13:03] And I thought that they should have left this in.
[01:13:06] The creative team behind Deadpool and Wolverine was given a great deal of creative freedom
[01:13:11] by Marvel and Disney with their jokes.
[01:13:13] There were some things that were off limits.
[01:13:15] And one of Deadpool's vulgar jokes written in the script for the film involved Mickey
[01:13:21] Mouse and they were asked to cut it.
[01:13:22] Oh, no.
[01:13:23] Literally.
[01:13:25] They literally wanted him to uncut that.
[01:13:28] I'm sorry.
[01:13:28] Bad joke.
[01:13:29] The joke, which was included in the script for the film that was recently released to
[01:13:35] critics for consideration in screenwriting categories.
[01:13:38] It's not hard to understand why Disney wanted it cut.
[01:13:41] Here's the setup.
[01:13:42] In the theatrical cut of the film, when Deadpool meets Blade, Elektra and Gambit, he's told there
[01:13:47] is a fourth member who Wade earnestly hopes is Magneto.
[01:13:51] Blade tells Deadpool that Magneto is dead and this sets Deadpool off about Disney not putting
[01:13:56] up a bigger budget to afford prominent actors like Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender.
[01:14:00] Wade goes on to compare the situation to being like Pinocchio stuck his nose up my ass and
[01:14:06] started lying like crazy.
[01:14:07] In the original script of the film, Deadpool instead says, fuck, well, we can't even afford
[01:14:12] one more X-Men.
[01:14:13] Disney is so cheap.
[01:14:14] I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse cock in my throat.
[01:14:17] Again, it's Steamboat Willie.
[01:14:20] That's a Steamboat Willie.
[01:14:23] That is called a Steamboat Willie.
[01:14:25] Oh, God.
[01:14:26] Was Disney right in asking for that joke to be changed?
[01:14:29] No.
[01:14:30] They should have left that shit in there and it would have been way funnier.
[01:14:32] That would have been amazing.
[01:14:33] Right?
[01:14:34] I was waiting.
[01:14:35] I was honestly waiting for a Mickey Mouse joke.
[01:14:37] That joke already, though.
[01:14:39] We can't even afford one more X-Men.
[01:14:42] You know, in the second one when all the X-Men are behind him and they just close the
[01:14:46] door.
[01:14:47] Right.
[01:14:47] But like the joke is that everybody kind of wanted Magneto to be in it and then him
[01:14:51] saying that Magneto is not in there.
[01:14:53] The joke was, God, I can't breathe with all this fucking Mickey Mouse cock in my throat.
[01:14:57] Yeah.
[01:14:57] The joke would have been fucking great.
[01:15:00] I was honestly waiting for a Mickey Mouse joke the entire movie.
[01:15:06] I'm okay with it not being, I don't think it would have added anything.
[01:15:11] Sorry.
[01:15:11] It just would have been funny.
[01:15:12] Yeah.
[01:15:13] But I mean, it's not like the line that we got wasn't just as good.
[01:15:17] It was about Pinocchio sitting on, or it's like sitting on Pinocchio's face and asking
[01:15:23] him to lie.
[01:15:24] That's pretty funny, too.
[01:15:25] I like it.
[01:15:26] You know what?
[01:15:26] I feel like they took the note constructively and they made something new with it.
[01:15:31] And I appreciate that.
[01:15:32] Way to go, creativity.
[01:15:33] Exactly.
[01:15:35] So good.
[01:15:36] Well, guys, that's interesting.
[01:15:38] I don't understand why this got out because of the script.
[01:15:41] They released the script and it was in the script.
[01:15:45] They probably did a charity thing where they sold the script or something for charity and
[01:15:50] it was in the original draft.
[01:15:52] Well, I guess they put it up for the Oscars.
[01:15:55] Yeah, they were submitting it to the Oscars for best script writing.
[01:15:58] Oh, okay.
[01:15:59] Oh, yeah.
[01:16:00] It would be a contender for that.
[01:16:01] I forget about stuff like that.
[01:16:03] Yeah.
[01:16:04] Okay.
[01:16:04] Interesting.
[01:16:05] But yeah.
[01:16:07] So that's it for the news this week.
[01:16:09] We've got a new segment, guys.
[01:16:10] We do have a new segment.
[01:16:11] So Shadoo, I am going to highlight you to the top of the screen here because you get
[01:16:17] to run a segment.
[01:16:18] I do get to run a segment.
[01:16:20] So why don't you introduce your new segment here?
[01:16:23] All right.
[01:16:24] Well, for this wonderful season that we're in, we have a couple new segments, actually,
[01:16:30] that will kind of be going up on the various episodes of the download throughout December.
[01:16:34] And one of them, the one for today, we are calling Top Geeked.
[01:16:39] That's right.
[01:16:40] Top Geeked.
[01:16:41] Top Geeked.
[01:16:42] Yay!
[01:16:43] And essentially, we are going to rank things.
[01:16:46] And this week, first, to celebrate all of the wonderful geekiness and nerdiness that
[01:16:51] occurred in 2024, all of us are going to present our top five nerdy shows of 2024.
[01:16:59] And so, I assume we are presenting them in from five to one.
[01:17:06] They're also honorable mentions, right for number one.
[01:17:08] And so, let's, I don't know.
[01:17:11] Correct.
[01:17:12] So, actually, before we jump into ours, we do have a couple of past hosts that sent us
[01:17:18] in a couple of-
[01:17:19] Wonderful art.
[01:17:20] Yes.
[01:17:20] Of theirs.
[01:17:21] Right?
[01:17:21] So, I'm going to go ahead and read off two of them here.
[01:17:24] Well, first off, making her triumphant return, at least in, you know, writing form to the
[01:17:33] show, we got a write-in from the bird herself, bird.
[01:17:41] It's been a while since the bird sound has been on the show.
[01:17:44] I've never heard the bird sound.
[01:17:45] That's why I said it's been a while since the bird sound.
[01:17:48] I'm going to do it again here for you just so you know what the bird sound sounds like.
[01:17:52] All right.
[01:17:53] All right.
[01:17:53] Great.
[01:17:53] Yep.
[01:17:54] There you go.
[01:17:54] Cool.
[01:17:56] So, she said-
[01:17:56] That sounded like a hawk or a falcon.
[01:17:58] It's, so it is a hawk as well as Robin saying caca.
[01:18:02] Okay.
[01:18:02] Hmm.
[01:18:03] Caca.
[01:18:05] Caca.
[01:18:06] Caca.
[01:18:07] All right.
[01:18:09] So, she said, oh, I honestly had to think if I've ever seen, if I even saw five shows
[01:18:14] this year, but I just went through and saw what came out and realized I have a few.
[01:18:19] These are what I have.
[01:18:20] And in order, also basically ones I watched since I left, left Love is Blind off.
[01:18:26] So, Love is Blind.
[01:18:27] They're all British.
[01:18:28] Let me get it.
[01:18:30] So, right here, here's her list.
[01:18:33] All right.
[01:18:34] Her number, are they in order?
[01:18:37] Okay.
[01:18:37] So, the number one she has listed on here is Fallout.
[01:18:40] Okay.
[01:18:40] Okay.
[01:18:41] So, wait.
[01:18:41] So, that's the best.
[01:18:42] I believe so.
[01:18:43] Okay.
[01:18:44] She doesn't have them, like, listed numbers.
[01:18:47] They're just, they're just.
[01:18:48] Okay.
[01:18:49] There's just five of them?
[01:18:50] There's just five of them.
[01:18:50] Okay.
[01:18:51] We'll just say five of them.
[01:18:52] Her kid flying a line.
[01:18:53] Mm-hmm.
[01:18:54] Uh, Taskmaster, which was a British show on YouTube.
[01:18:58] Oh, my God.
[01:18:58] Husby is obsessed with that show.
[01:19:01] He loves that.
[01:19:01] Yeah.
[01:19:02] He likes it so much.
[01:19:03] He also watches the Australia version.
[01:19:05] That's awesome.
[01:19:06] The Gentleman.
[01:19:07] Okay.
[01:19:07] That's also British.
[01:19:08] House of the Dragon.
[01:19:09] Well, British people are in that, yeah.
[01:19:11] Yep, yep.
[01:19:12] And then Three Body Problem.
[01:19:13] Also British.
[01:19:14] Like, there's a lot of British people.
[01:19:15] Yeah.
[01:19:16] Haven't seen any of you.
[01:19:17] Netflix.
[01:19:17] Haven't seen that.
[01:19:18] Want to.
[01:19:18] Haven't seen it.
[01:19:20] She said, it's not very extensive.
[01:19:23] A lot of shows I'm interested in but can't just put on a previous series.
[01:19:29] Taskmaster.
[01:19:29] That she's ashamed to say.
[01:19:31] Thanks, Bird.
[01:19:33] She said, I think you've made me have an existential crisis about what I'm doing with my free time.
[01:19:40] Well, glad to give it to you.
[01:19:42] So, once again, Bird, we appreciate you writing in and giving us your top five of the year.
[01:19:47] Yeah.
[01:19:48] One more time.
[01:19:48] And giving us your word, Bird.
[01:19:50] That's right.
[01:19:51] The word is the word.
[01:19:53] Yes.
[01:19:54] Word is the word, of course.
[01:19:55] Sure.
[01:19:57] All right.
[01:19:58] All right.
[01:19:59] All right.
[01:20:00] Who else we got?
[01:20:00] I was going to say, the other one that we got sent in.
[01:20:02] And so, our amazing friend of the show, Aaron Thicke, sent us a video.
[01:20:08] Oh.
[01:20:08] Oh, goodness.
[01:20:09] So.
[01:20:09] We actually got a video here.
[01:20:11] We got a video.
[01:20:12] So.
[01:20:13] Without editing?
[01:20:14] Yeah, I know.
[01:20:14] Right.
[01:20:14] So, I'm going to go ahead and play this, guys, and get Aaron Thicke's take on the top five shows of the year.
[01:20:22] All right.
[01:20:22] So, here we go.
[01:20:23] All right.
[01:20:23] Great.
[01:20:24] Yeah, let's see it.
[01:20:25] My friends at Distance Nerding.
[01:20:26] This is your good old pal, Aaron Thicke.
[01:20:29] And I was asked to do my top five TV shows from this year.
[01:20:33] So, I don't really watch much TV.
[01:20:35] And I haven't really watched much TV this year.
[01:20:38] But I decided to give you my top five best TV shows from 1993.
[01:20:44] And so, we're going to start off with my honorable mentions.
[01:21:15] And we're going to start with Full House.
[01:21:17] Look, not a lot of people talk about it.
[01:21:19] But it was really great in 1993.
[01:21:20] The animation wasn't that solid.
[01:21:22] But it was still a good show.
[01:21:24] And my last honorable mention for best TV shows from 1993 is Home Improvement.
[01:21:29] Now, Tim Allen was the man back in 1993 with Home Improvement.
[01:21:33] And we all watched it.
[01:21:34] And we all loved it.
[01:21:35] Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a smoke show, baby.
[01:21:39] And we all just had a crush.
[01:21:41] Oh, my God.
[01:21:42] We loved him.
[01:21:43] JTT all the way.
[01:21:44] Now, my top five begins number five.
[01:21:48] Beavis and Butthead.
[01:21:50] In 1993, that was one of the best animated shows you could watch.
[01:21:54] It was on cable.
[01:21:55] It was on MTV.
[01:21:56] Oh, my God.
[01:21:57] We loved it.
[01:21:59] We got to watch music videos, have fun, tell jokes.
[01:22:02] And it was great.
[01:22:03] Now, number four for top five TV shows of all time in 1993 is The X-Files.
[01:22:11] I mean, we got Mulder.
[01:22:12] We got Scully.
[01:22:13] We got Aliens.
[01:22:15] Maybe.
[01:22:16] Who knows?
[01:22:17] The Cigarette Smoking Man.
[01:22:18] Nobody knew what was going on.
[01:22:20] So then.
[01:22:20] So that's number four.
[01:22:22] Number three, another animated one.
[01:22:24] Rocco's Modern Life.
[01:22:26] Come on.
[01:22:26] He's got these type of shirts.
[01:22:28] He was just like your good old friend, Aaron Thicke.
[01:22:31] Okay?
[01:22:32] He was just like me.
[01:22:33] He had a friend that was a turtle that licked the page.
[01:22:36] He turned it and he licked it and then he turned it.
[01:22:38] And then sometimes he went on his shell, but that's okay.
[01:22:40] Okay?
[01:22:41] Now, that was number three.
[01:22:42] Number two, I'm getting real pumped up.
[01:22:45] Number two is Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
[01:22:47] Right?
[01:22:47] Yes.
[01:22:48] Will Smith.
[01:22:48] I mean, you couldn't get better than Will Smith and he was great and it was funny and
[01:22:53] it was awesome.
[01:22:54] We love it.
[01:22:55] Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
[01:22:56] Number two.
[01:22:57] Number one, best shows of 1993, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
[01:23:02] I mean, if you weren't watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when you were a kid in 1993,
[01:23:08] you didn't know what you were doing.
[01:23:10] We all watched it.
[01:23:11] We all loved it.
[01:23:12] And if you didn't like the Green Ranger, formerly Green Ranger, then turned into White Ranger,
[01:23:16] you don't know what was going on.
[01:23:17] It was the best.
[01:23:18] He was the best.
[01:23:19] Tommy.
[01:23:20] But anyways, it's my top five best TV shows of the year.
[01:23:23] I miss you guys.
[01:23:24] I love you.
[01:23:25] And I will talk to you later.
[01:23:28] Bye-bye.
[01:23:29] Jesus Christ.
[01:23:30] So, no, no, no, no.
[01:23:31] Did someone forget to send in the memo or?
[01:23:34] No.
[01:23:35] I told him I needed him this year.
[01:23:37] No, no.
[01:23:38] He does know what year it is, right?
[01:23:40] No.
[01:23:41] It's Aaron Thicke.
[01:23:42] He probably forgot.
[01:23:44] He's on the Filipino.
[01:23:44] I mean, did you see the glasses he was wearing?
[01:23:47] I mean, first of all, major Barbie vibes.
[01:23:50] Loved the outfit.
[01:23:52] Definitely went with his top five.
[01:23:55] He understood.
[01:23:56] Well, he misunderstood the assignment.
[01:23:58] But he committed to that misunderstanding 110%.
[01:24:02] He said it at the beginning.
[01:24:04] He was like, I'm not going to do my from this year.
[01:24:06] I'm going to do from 1993.
[01:24:07] And I'm like, oh, my God.
[01:24:08] I love you, Aaron.
[01:24:09] He doesn't believe in calendars.
[01:24:11] Production quality was amazing.
[01:24:13] It was.
[01:24:14] Yeah.
[01:24:14] It was.
[01:24:15] So, that is our, all of our past guests.
[01:24:21] Our honorable mentions of West.
[01:24:23] Right.
[01:24:23] Yeah.
[01:24:23] Those are on our honorable mentions of West.
[01:24:27] So, the way I feel like we need to do this, before we get into our top five, so I think
[01:24:33] what we're going to do is go down the list.
[01:24:35] Each of us lists off our number five and so on and so forth from there.
[01:24:39] Right.
[01:24:41] Without explanations on this, let's throw out honorable mentions.
[01:24:45] So, Shadu.
[01:24:46] So, like, one of each?
[01:24:48] Like, so we just give one of each?
[01:24:50] Again, without explanation, just kind of throw out there which ones were.
[01:24:54] So, like, Shadu would say just one of his honorable mentions, and I would say one?
[01:24:59] Or do you just want us to do the whole thing?
[01:25:00] Just do your whole thing.
[01:25:02] Okay.
[01:25:02] Great.
[01:25:03] All right.
[01:25:03] Yeah, I'm sorry.
[01:25:04] I overthought it.
[01:25:05] No worries.
[01:25:05] Shadu, what are your honorable mentions, Ben?
[01:25:07] So, I only have one honorable mention.
[01:25:10] I don't watch a lot of TV, shockingly.
[01:25:14] Again, no one is surprised.
[01:25:15] I try so hard with him.
[01:25:18] And the other ones that I had in my, like, unranked list were not very.
[01:25:23] You said no explanations.
[01:25:25] Oh, sorry.
[01:25:27] The Acolyte is my one honorable mentions.
[01:25:31] Sorry, too.
[01:25:31] Jen, what are your honorable mentions?
[01:25:33] Okay.
[01:25:33] I have more than one.
[01:25:35] I also do.
[01:25:37] It's, like, longer than my top five list.
[01:25:39] Okay.
[01:25:40] So, my honorable mentions are The Acolyte, Kite Man, Hell Yeah, Echo, The Franchise,
[01:25:48] Masters of the Air, Slow Horses, and Bad Monkey.
[01:25:52] Hmm.
[01:25:52] Nice.
[01:25:53] Now, I will say this.
[01:25:55] Any of these, except The Acolyte, could have been in my top five.
[01:25:59] Yeah.
[01:25:59] Like, that's how close it was.
[01:26:01] Same.
[01:26:02] To, yeah.
[01:26:03] Wow.
[01:26:04] Okay.
[01:26:04] Same.
[01:26:05] You always talk about, like, slow horses and...
[01:26:08] Mm-hmm.
[01:26:08] Yeah.
[01:26:09] So, you know my top five is going to be off.
[01:26:11] Banger.
[01:26:12] Just straight banger after banger.
[01:26:14] Banger.
[01:26:15] It's really top six.
[01:26:16] But, anyway.
[01:26:17] James, what are your honorable mentions, sir?
[01:26:20] Should you mention Acolyte?
[01:26:22] Acolyte was right there, but it fell off.
[01:26:25] Shogun is right there.
[01:26:28] Chimp Crazy on Max.
[01:26:30] I don't know if you guys saw that, but you guys need to go watch it.
[01:26:32] It was crazy.
[01:26:33] There's craziness happening.
[01:26:34] Chimp Crazy, in fact.
[01:26:35] Chimp Crazy.
[01:26:35] Fallout is right there.
[01:26:38] And then I got a couple zingers here.
[01:26:41] Simone Biles Rising.
[01:26:43] I watched it right before the Olympics.
[01:26:45] It was an awesome, awesome documentary leading into the Olympics.
[01:26:49] Perfect Couple, also on Netflix, was really good with Nicole Kidman.
[01:26:54] It was awesome.
[01:26:54] And then The Roast of Tom Brady.
[01:26:57] It was actually good.
[01:26:58] It was amazing.
[01:27:00] And it made like the news circuit for a good three weeks.
[01:27:08] Yeah, it was pretty funny.
[01:27:09] Yeah.
[01:27:09] It was that funny.
[01:27:10] Those are mine.
[01:27:11] What about yours, Young Phil?
[01:27:12] So I've got a long list.
[01:27:13] And again, that's why I said I didn't want to do explanations because I have a long list.
[01:27:17] But my honorable mentions are Echo, Mr. McMahon.
[01:27:21] So I don't know if anybody watched the Vince McMahon documentary, but Mr. McMahon.
[01:27:25] Masters of the Air, Baby Reindeer, to a point where Baby Reindeer is a running joke in our house.
[01:27:34] Oh, okay.
[01:27:35] Okay.
[01:27:36] It's along the line of the Pink Pony Club right there.
[01:27:39] Maybe Reindeer.
[01:27:39] It actually is like that same kind of like line.
[01:27:42] The Acolyte.
[01:27:43] Knuckles, which actually was a pretty good series.
[01:27:45] Batman Caped Crusader.
[01:27:47] Oh, I forgot that one too.
[01:27:49] The Last Airbender.
[01:27:51] Terminator Zero.
[01:27:52] If nobody watched that anime, you need to go watch it.
[01:27:55] It's really good.
[01:27:55] Last Airbender.
[01:27:57] Kite Man Hell Yeah.
[01:27:59] Hell yeah.
[01:27:59] Right.
[01:28:00] House of the Dragon.
[01:28:01] Bad Batch.
[01:28:02] And one that I watched recently.
[01:28:04] Nobody wants this.
[01:28:06] You know, and I need to watch that because I hear it's really good.
[01:28:10] It's pretty funny.
[01:28:11] So with that being said, now that we've gotten all the honorable mentions out of the way,
[01:28:17] let's take this away.
[01:28:19] Shadoo, you want to do the honors?
[01:28:23] Shadoo, you want to do the honors?
[01:28:24] Yeah.
[01:28:24] I'll do the honors.
[01:28:25] All right.
[01:28:26] So we're starting.
[01:28:27] I don't know how honorable they're going to be.
[01:28:28] All right.
[01:28:28] But we're starting with number five?
[01:28:30] Yes.
[01:28:30] We're starting with number five.
[01:28:31] So are we doing, like, am I doing my entire list and then everybody else has the entire
[01:28:34] list?
[01:28:35] Are we doing like fives?
[01:28:35] No, we're just doing number five.
[01:28:36] Yeah.
[01:28:37] So we're all going to do our fives and then all going to do our fours.
[01:28:39] All you do the four is great.
[01:28:40] So I'll say my number five.
[01:28:41] Number five.
[01:28:43] All right.
[01:28:43] So number five is Echo.
[01:28:46] Yeah.
[01:28:47] So I just wrote a little explanation.
[01:28:49] So a departure from Marvel's usual affair.
[01:28:50] Echo was a series that gave much needed representation to a fascinating culture.
[01:28:53] It was a very grounded story while properly reintroducing an iconic villain.
[01:28:57] So, yeah, I really I it was very different from Marvel.
[01:29:01] I think that's probably a lot of the reason why I liked it.
[01:29:03] I wasn't expecting that kind of show.
[01:29:07] And so, yeah, it's my number five.
[01:29:08] I really, really liked it.
[01:29:09] So I forgot it.
[01:29:10] Forgot it was this year until I looked it up and I was like, oh, yeah.
[01:29:14] Jen, what was your number five?
[01:29:16] Well, so I had a tie because I knew we got.
[01:29:19] OK.
[01:29:20] All right.
[01:29:21] The tie was and they're both animated.
[01:29:25] Tie with the concept.
[01:29:28] All right.
[01:29:28] So I did X-Men 97 and the Bad Batch.
[01:29:33] So X-Men, they're both from Disney Plus.
[01:29:36] So I said, yes, I have to because they were both such great contenders and for completely different reasons.
[01:29:43] Yeah.
[01:29:44] The reintroduction of the X-Men with Cyclops gaining a spine and Gambit was such an amazing season of animated television.
[01:29:52] Whereas the conclusion of the Bad Batch's mission with a young adult Omega taking up the fight in the end was the ending we deserve for our favorite clones.
[01:30:04] That is great.
[01:30:05] Great.
[01:30:05] That's why they tie.
[01:30:07] I see.
[01:30:08] Good beginning and a good ending.
[01:30:09] Yeah.
[01:30:11] I agree.
[01:30:12] I like it.
[01:30:12] So my number five, given that my top five were all shows that all could have been my number one.
[01:30:20] So let me just throw that out there.
[01:30:22] Right.
[01:30:22] Like basically it was almost impossible for me to like parse these out into what was my number one, two, three, four or five.
[01:30:28] Right.
[01:30:29] So just keep in mind, you know, all of these easily could have been my number one.
[01:30:33] OK.
[01:30:34] My number five is Agatha all along.
[01:30:35] Wow.
[01:30:36] I'm sorry.
[01:30:37] Wait, wait.
[01:30:37] I will never forgive you for this.
[01:30:39] Never.
[01:30:39] Hold on.
[01:30:40] Never forgive you for this.
[01:30:41] You're number five.
[01:30:42] My number five.
[01:30:43] There better be some damn good shows on the on the rest of this list.
[01:30:47] Yeah, we'll go with that.
[01:30:48] OK.
[01:30:49] All right.
[01:30:49] My my number five.
[01:30:51] Hold off my skepticism.
[01:30:52] My number five is Agatha all along again.
[01:30:55] An amazingly written show again introduced one of my favorite characters in Marvel, but also the woman playing my favorite woman character from Marvel.
[01:31:05] She's not even listening to me is also, you know, one of my favorite women in existence.
[01:31:10] So but along with that again, we want to.
[01:31:14] Yeah, but not enough to be number four or number three on your number.
[01:31:18] You'll you'll you'll you'll see why when we when we get in there.
[01:31:21] And but it won't be justified again.
[01:31:23] No, no, no.
[01:31:24] Again, also all of them.
[01:31:25] Again, all again.
[01:31:27] All right.
[01:31:27] Again, all of these all of these shows easily could have been my number one.
[01:31:31] Again, this is this is me more parsing out all like what I consider the best shows of the year.
[01:31:37] Right.
[01:31:37] Right.
[01:31:38] You're being judged.
[01:31:38] You're being judged.
[01:31:39] My number five was Tires on Netflix.
[01:31:43] I don't know if you saw it.
[01:31:44] It's only like six, six, eight episodes.
[01:31:46] Real short comedy.
[01:31:47] It had Shane Gillis in it and he wrote and I think he might have directed a little too, but he starred in and wrote some of the show.
[01:31:55] It's just a funny, funny show.
[01:31:57] And it's just one of those lighthearted comedies.
[01:31:59] It's a little raunchy.
[01:32:00] And like, it's what I needed.
[01:32:01] I binge the whole thing in like one night.
[01:32:04] I'm like, this is this is it.
[01:32:05] It was fun.
[01:32:06] It was fun.
[01:32:06] All right.
[01:32:07] Number four.
[01:32:08] I haven't seen it.
[01:32:08] So I can't say that I'll never forgive you.
[01:32:11] All right.
[01:32:11] So number four.
[01:32:13] Hold on.
[01:32:14] Number four.
[01:32:16] Oh, we have transitions.
[01:32:18] All right.
[01:32:18] All right.
[01:32:19] So I was just like, oh.
[01:32:22] All right.
[01:32:22] Number four is House of the Dragon season two.
[01:32:25] Well, not as masterful as season one and dragging a bit near the end.
[01:32:29] Hot D still continues to be an amazing series that almost keyword almost would deems the utterly banal ending of the show.
[01:32:35] It's ostensibly spun off from from the little character moments like David fucking around in the streams, both metaphorically and literally to major changes in the balance of power like Adam and his persistent dragon.
[01:32:44] Oh, and Eamon almost almost almost died.
[01:32:47] So, you know, that too.
[01:32:50] There's a lot of amazingness that happens in that in that second season.
[01:32:54] Yeah.
[01:32:55] There's some really good stuff that happens in there.
[01:32:57] I didn't put it in either just because I didn't.
[01:33:01] But and I love dragons.
[01:33:03] I just thought it was a little too on the nose for me.
[01:33:06] Jen, what's your number four?
[01:33:08] Fallout from Amazon.
[01:33:10] So I've never played any of the Fallout video games, but I have friends that tell me this series got a lot of things right.
[01:33:18] I love the quirky sense of humor the vault dwellers had and how they dealt with challenges.
[01:33:25] And the cast was amazing, especially Walton Goggins.
[01:33:29] And the trustworthy nature of the characters just like in general was delightfully odd.
[01:33:34] And I just adored it.
[01:33:36] So, yeah.
[01:33:37] Awesome.
[01:33:38] All right.
[01:33:39] My number four is the penguin.
[01:33:41] Wait a minute.
[01:33:43] So penguin is four.
[01:33:45] Yeah.
[01:33:46] What the hell do you have at number one, dude?
[01:33:48] I think you didn't understand this.
[01:33:52] You'll see.
[01:33:53] I guarantee you guys are going to be like, okay, no, that makes sense.
[01:33:57] For you.
[01:33:58] I highly doubt I'm going to say, oh, yeah, that makes sense.
[01:34:01] I might say, well, yeah, that's Phil for you.
[01:34:03] But I don't think I'm going to say, well, that makes sense.
[01:34:06] Because I like my list.
[01:34:07] My list makes sense.
[01:34:09] My number four is the penguin.
[01:34:10] Her list is the perfect list.
[01:34:12] We don't need you to curry favor and kiss your mom's ass right now, man.
[01:34:16] It's okay.
[01:34:16] I'm not.
[01:34:18] My list is the best.
[01:34:19] Her list is her list.
[01:34:21] He's trying to get out of doing the dishes.
[01:34:23] Leave him alone, man.
[01:34:24] Come on.
[01:34:24] I'm not even there.
[01:34:25] The penguin.
[01:34:27] The way that I describe this to people is it is the Sopranos set in the Batman universe.
[01:34:34] It is very much a very well-written mob story, but just twists and betrayal and everything that you want out of the penguin.
[01:34:46] And, yeah, that's my number four.
[01:34:48] So, yeah, we'll go with that, James.
[01:34:50] I like that.
[01:34:51] By the way, I want to shout out fours in the chat since we're on number four.
[01:34:56] It's kind of perfect.
[01:34:57] Number four.
[01:34:58] Number four.
[01:34:59] The four's effect is in the building.
[01:35:02] I like that.
[01:35:03] Speaking of, I let young Phil take all the heat on that one, but my number four is also the penguin.
[01:35:12] Yeah, but your number one is probably, like, bluey or something.
[01:35:15] So, I mean, like.
[01:35:18] Shogun isn't even on his top five, so.
[01:35:21] Quit getting in my brain.
[01:35:24] Yeah, I enjoy the penguin as well.
[01:35:27] And, you know, it would have been a great show even if you changed all the names and not related it to Gotham City, Batman, the DC universe.
[01:35:36] It would have just been a good show.
[01:35:37] And I enjoyed it.
[01:35:38] So, yes.
[01:35:39] Yeah, but the difference between that and, like, something like Kraven, because we said the same thing, right?
[01:35:45] Yeah.
[01:35:45] Is that them being the Batman characters did actually elevate it, I felt like.
[01:35:53] Oh, yeah.
[01:35:53] It wasn't like, oh, hey, you know, here, let's just put a square peg in a round hole kind of thing.
[01:36:01] It was, we're going to shave off these edges so that it'll fit in the round hole.
[01:36:07] And I think that's what Sony's not doing.
[01:36:10] Right.
[01:36:11] See, what I loved about what they did with this, number one, they did change his name, which is, like, the first time in publication history that they've changed Oswald's name, right?
[01:36:21] Right.
[01:36:21] His name is Oz Cobb in this.
[01:36:23] But, I mean, at the same time, the essence of the character is the penguin we've been waiting for since the first time he was portrayed on film.
[01:36:32] Yeah.
[01:36:32] You know, he is that mob, the dude started from the bottom, that mob boss that runs Gotham.
[01:36:39] You know, the only thing, I think it's actually a smarter choice to make him a gutter baby than have him be somebody of affluence that was rich and became a mob boss.
[01:36:49] Because when he's Cobblepot, when he's Oswald Cobblepot, remember his mom is a member of the Court of Vowels.
[01:36:55] Yeah.
[01:36:55] You know, and she was like, she comes from, in the original Batman story, the Cobblepots are one of the founding members of Gotham.
[01:37:02] The founding families of Gotham.
[01:37:04] Right.
[01:37:04] So they're like one of the richest families in Gotham.
[01:37:07] He just happens to be somebody who became a mobster.
[01:37:09] But I love that you take that version of the character, put it on its head, and you make him a nobody that was a driver for the Falcons and becomes who he becomes.
[01:37:19] I think that is a great twist on that character, and especially, like, you make a realistic version of that character.
[01:37:25] You know, he's not going to be a rich dude who becomes a mobster.
[01:37:28] He's going to be that foot soldier that works his way up and becomes the boss, and I love that.
[01:37:34] Yep.
[01:37:35] All right.
[01:37:35] That was my score.
[01:37:36] Yeah.
[01:37:37] So, yeah.
[01:37:37] We're moving to number three.
[01:37:38] So, now to number...
[01:37:39] Number three.
[01:37:41] All right.
[01:37:41] So, for my number three, I have Bad Batch season three.
[01:37:48] What's season three, right?
[01:37:49] Not season four?
[01:37:49] Yeah.
[01:37:50] No.
[01:37:50] Okay, good.
[01:37:50] Was it?
[01:37:51] Was it season four?
[01:37:52] You guys didn't make me look this up.
[01:37:54] Hold on.
[01:37:55] I'm looking it up right now, so we don't have to.
[01:37:57] How many seasons were there?
[01:37:59] I enjoyed Bad Batch as well.
[01:38:02] Yeah, I did.
[01:38:02] Yes, it was season three.
[01:38:03] I was correct.
[01:38:04] I don't know why I doubted myself.
[01:38:05] A satisfying ending to a great series about found family, loss of innocence, and dealing with grief,
[01:38:10] the Bad Batch has truly been among the best Star Wars animated series.
[01:38:15] So, yeah.
[01:38:16] This needs no explanation, really.
[01:38:18] Bad Batch was great.
[01:38:19] The whole series was really good.
[01:38:21] Pretty consistently great.
[01:38:22] Really interesting seeing the rise of the Empire, and how easily fascism and authoritarianism and all of this can take hold in democracy and all of that.
[01:38:32] And really, you know, relevant to the times and to history and all of that, and had a lot of influences that came from outside the Star Wars universe.
[01:38:39] That almost seems like something that's happening right now.
[01:38:41] Loved it.
[01:38:42] Well, also, it's like we never really saw the transition of what happened.
[01:38:49] Like, the clones were at the end of, you know, Revenge of the Sith.
[01:38:53] Well, what happened to them after that?
[01:38:55] Because by the time we get to A New Hope, nobody's talking about clones.
[01:38:59] They're just talking about clone wars.
[01:39:00] Of the clones and what happened to them through kind of their eyes.
[01:39:04] Yeah.
[01:39:04] So, I loved that perspective because it was different.
[01:39:08] Yeah.
[01:39:08] All right.
[01:39:09] Sorry.
[01:39:10] It's my turn.
[01:39:11] I took a drink.
[01:39:12] I apologize.
[01:39:13] That is bad form on the podcast.
[01:39:16] All right.
[01:39:16] My number three is Shogun.
[01:39:19] So, Husby's been trying to get me to read this book that the show is based on for a really long time.
[01:39:25] And so, I decided to watch the show with him to see if, like, if I liked the topic, maybe I would read the book.
[01:39:30] But I was really surprised at finding myself loving it.
[01:39:35] The only way to watch it is with all the Japanese language in full form.
[01:39:39] And the cast was superb.
[01:39:42] Like, Anna Swy, I love her.
[01:39:44] I love her so much.
[01:39:45] Yeah.
[01:39:46] The locations were beautiful, simple, and awe-inspiring.
[01:39:50] If you want to see a glimpse into the samurai culture of medieval Japan, it is a great show to watch.
[01:39:57] So, I would absolutely go ahead and watch that.
[01:40:01] Phil?
[01:40:01] What's going on?
[01:40:02] Yeah.
[01:40:03] I'm going to wait to bring this on until after we get through this set here because I just got really excited right now.
[01:40:10] Okay.
[01:40:13] My number three is X-Men 97.
[01:40:15] Okay.
[01:40:16] Well, I mean, still.
[01:40:18] Yeah.
[01:40:18] Now, X-Men 97 is easily one of the most perfectly portrayed comic book properties in the animated form.
[01:40:30] Like, just everything about X-Men 97 was amazing.
[01:40:33] The writing was good.
[01:40:34] The pacing was good.
[01:40:36] The characterizations.
[01:40:38] All of the new things they brought in.
[01:40:39] All of the ways that they took all of these storylines from the comics and integrated them into the show.
[01:40:45] And made something from the 90s.
[01:40:50] Because it went from 91 to 97.
[01:40:53] But, I mean, it took this entire show and added to it in a way that didn't take away from the 90s show.
[01:41:00] And was on par, if not better.
[01:41:03] So, in my top three, X-Men 97.
[01:41:05] All right.
[01:41:06] James.
[01:41:06] James.
[01:41:07] I give that to you.
[01:41:08] My number three is Agatha all along.
[01:41:11] Really?
[01:41:12] Number three.
[01:41:12] How dare you?
[01:41:13] It's not number five.
[01:41:15] It's not number five.
[01:41:17] You know what I mean?
[01:41:17] You know?
[01:41:18] I can't believe that it was number five on anyone.
[01:41:21] This is ridiculous.
[01:41:23] It's a travesty, I tell you.
[01:41:24] It's a travesty.
[01:41:26] We all love Agatha.
[01:41:27] Agatha.
[01:41:28] I think we're going to hear more about Agatha very soon.
[01:41:33] Maybe.
[01:41:33] In the rankings.
[01:41:34] So, I'll just leave it at that.
[01:41:35] Agatha is great.
[01:41:37] All right.
[01:41:37] That finishes number three.
[01:41:39] Before we get on to our top two.
[01:41:43] Ladies and gentlemen, we have a blast from the past.
[01:41:47] A host that hasn't been on the show, but he is the most.
[01:41:50] Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back to the show.
[01:41:53] Number four.
[01:41:54] It's our boy Fours.
[01:41:56] Fours.
[01:41:56] Hey.
[01:41:58] Hi, Fours.
[01:41:59] How's it going?
[01:42:03] From the depths of the vocal booth closet, Fours has returned.
[01:42:09] All right.
[01:42:10] What up, man?
[01:42:11] All right.
[01:42:12] Number three.
[01:42:13] Agatha all along.
[01:42:15] Okay.
[01:42:15] That's my number three.
[01:42:16] Cool.
[01:42:17] Actually, real quick.
[01:42:18] Let's go back.
[01:42:18] What's your number five?
[01:42:20] Ooh.
[01:42:21] This is going to be the most awkward, weird choice, but that's what I'm about.
[01:42:26] Awkward, weird choices.
[01:42:27] It is a show that came out on Netflix this year.
[01:42:30] It's called Rising Impact.
[01:42:32] It is a golf anime, and it's actually really, really good.
[01:42:38] Nice.
[01:42:39] That's not the first time I've heard that.
[01:42:41] I think the kid, the main golfing kid is played by the actor who plays Jimmy Neutron.
[01:42:49] Ooh.
[01:42:50] I think.
[01:42:50] Oh, wow.
[01:42:50] All right.
[01:42:51] Cool.
[01:42:51] Yeah.
[01:42:51] Yeah.
[01:42:52] It was really, really good.
[01:42:53] Nice.
[01:42:54] What's your number four?
[01:42:55] Ooh.
[01:42:56] I guess that would be my number four.
[01:42:58] I really haven't watched a lot this year, unfortunately.
[01:43:02] Welcome to the club for us.
[01:43:04] Yeah.
[01:43:05] I mean, I know what my one, two, and three are, but.
[01:43:07] Yeah.
[01:43:07] So your number three is Agatha all along.
[01:43:09] My number three is definitely Agatha.
[01:43:10] Okay.
[01:43:11] Okay.
[01:43:11] Awesome.
[01:43:12] All right.
[01:43:12] So we're jumping into our number twos now.
[01:43:15] Well, it must be nice to come back and visit us.
[01:43:17] And Frey doesn't give you crap like she gave Philippe and I on our list.
[01:43:22] So welcome back, sir.
[01:43:23] I missed the absolute crap out of you guys.
[01:43:26] At the end of the show, I have a bombshell announcement.
[01:43:28] Awesome.
[01:43:30] All right.
[01:43:31] Let's get through these then.
[01:43:32] So yeah, should do.
[01:43:33] Let's move on, sir.
[01:43:35] All right.
[01:43:35] So we're number two.
[01:43:36] All right.
[01:43:37] So number two.
[01:43:38] Number two.
[01:43:39] Speaking of great Star Wars animated series, my number two is the second season of Tales,
[01:43:44] which I mean, Tales of the Empire.
[01:43:47] Oh.
[01:43:48] So yes, my number two is Star Wars Tales of the Empire.
[01:43:51] This show saw explanations for many mysteries brewing for years in the fan base.
[01:43:55] It also showed us the slow descent of one Morgan Elsbeth and provided hints on where
[01:44:00] the Mandoverse is going next and its canonical adaptation of Heir to the Empire.
[01:44:05] And so Tales of the Empire was, I think, just like the first season, like Tales of the
[01:44:09] Jedi.
[01:44:10] It was almost like a canonical version of Star Wars Visions to me because it has this,
[01:44:16] it's shorts and it's like, it's, we're going to tell this story however long it takes.
[01:44:20] Like this story only needs this long.
[01:44:22] And so we can do that.
[01:44:23] I feel like it, you know, was allowing creative to be creative.
[01:44:26] And it really, it really shows.
[01:44:28] I mean, I get this was, yeah.
[01:44:30] So number two, Tales of the Empire.
[01:44:31] It definitely adds like a new flavor when you go back and watch something else that they
[01:44:37] were in.
[01:44:37] Like this, the same stuff that happened to Dooku, right?
[01:44:39] Yeah.
[01:44:39] Yeah.
[01:44:40] Like seeing what happened with Dooku explains a lot of what those characters are going through
[01:44:44] in the original movie.
[01:44:45] It made me understand Morgan Elsbeth a lot more.
[01:44:48] Yeah.
[01:44:48] It made me understand Ahsoka a lot more, the show.
[01:44:51] Yeah.
[01:44:51] Yeah.
[01:44:51] No, I agree.
[01:44:53] I kind of forgot that it came out in 2024.
[01:44:55] I did too.
[01:44:56] And then I looked, I was like, I had a list of here, all the shows before.
[01:44:59] I was like, oh yeah.
[01:45:01] Very cool.
[01:45:02] Frey, what do you got?
[01:45:04] Mine is The Penguin.
[01:45:06] Number two.
[01:45:07] The Penguin.
[01:45:08] Sounds more like a four to me.
[01:45:10] Shut up.
[01:45:10] All right.
[01:45:11] So they say that Colin Farrell is in this, but I never saw him.
[01:45:16] I only saw some guy playing Oz Cobb.
[01:45:19] And that guy, he deserves an Emmy because he was amazing.
[01:45:24] So it's not your dad's Penguin.
[01:45:26] This Oz would be comfortable on The Sopranos or Succession.
[01:45:31] He would take out all the mob bosses while getting a brain freeze from a slushie.
[01:45:37] Most of the characters get what they deserve in the end.
[01:45:40] Except one sweet boy named Victor.
[01:45:44] Oh, come on.
[01:45:45] Hashtag a bitch, Vic.
[01:45:48] Don't bring on my boy, Vic.
[01:45:51] That's why I was surprised that you put him so low.
[01:45:55] Yeah.
[01:45:56] How could you do that to our boy, Vic?
[01:45:59] How could you do that to me, Phil?
[01:46:01] Philippe?
[01:46:02] I still think that that accent, Frey, sounds like the Long Island media.
[01:46:08] It's where it does.
[01:46:11] It's a dead ringer.
[01:46:14] It's hilarious.
[01:46:15] You say dead ringer?
[01:46:16] I see a dead ring.
[01:46:18] Are you missing a ring?
[01:46:19] I think it's in your closet.
[01:46:21] Check the red purse.
[01:46:24] Yeah, my boy, Vic, though.
[01:46:26] It broke my heart when they killed Vic off.
[01:46:28] I was like, no, come on.
[01:46:29] Yeah, it didn't break your heart too much because Penguin wasn't in your top two.
[01:46:34] So let's hear it.
[01:46:35] You know what was good about that, though?
[01:46:37] It's kind of like watching the Joker.
[01:46:38] Like, you should not.
[01:46:40] They're an antagonist.
[01:46:41] You shouldn't be watching a film focused on the antagonist because it turns around and
[01:46:46] makes them feel like the protagonist.
[01:46:47] So the way they wrapped it up at the end brought him back to being that antagonist of like this
[01:46:52] greater story that's being told.
[01:46:55] Did you guys, did any of you guys watch the making of after?
[01:46:58] So after this episode, they had the making of this episode.
[01:47:01] So they explain that.
[01:47:03] It's like, you know, they don't want.
[01:47:05] Like, you have to realize that he is a piece of shit and he's a bad guy and he is not a
[01:47:11] good person.
[01:47:11] And you have to remember that.
[01:47:13] Like, you're rooting for Oz the entire time.
[01:47:16] And you have to remember that this dude is a ruthless fucking piece of shit.
[01:47:20] And there's no name of anybody's.
[01:47:21] He's the hero in his own story.
[01:47:23] Right.
[01:47:23] He would rank Agatha all along as a number five.
[01:47:26] He's a piece of shit.
[01:47:27] No, Agatha all along would have been his number 10.
[01:47:30] You know what?
[01:47:31] We're not going to besmirch Agatha all along like this.
[01:47:35] Because every villain should believe that they are the hero of their story.
[01:47:39] Absolutely.
[01:47:39] Exactly.
[01:47:40] Absolutely.
[01:47:41] All right.
[01:47:42] So going to my number two, because I know Jen is like, you know, she's like, what is
[01:47:45] his number two if the other ones are not in his top two?
[01:47:49] All right.
[01:47:49] Oh, you best believe I'm listening to this.
[01:47:52] My number two.
[01:47:52] Number two is from Netflix.
[01:47:54] Netflix.
[01:47:55] We've mentioned the show before, but you guys don't get to give it enough credit.
[01:47:59] It's a fantastic comedy.
[01:48:01] Fantastic story.
[01:48:02] It's titled.
[01:48:03] Nobody wants this.
[01:48:04] Look at you.
[01:48:05] That's done.
[01:48:06] No, it's not mine.
[01:48:06] You guys are done.
[01:48:07] It's a funny, funny sitcom-y type show with a great story and a story you wouldn't expect.
[01:48:15] It's in honorable mentions.
[01:48:16] It's great.
[01:48:16] Yeah.
[01:48:17] It's a fun, fun show.
[01:48:18] The writing on it is amazing.
[01:48:21] Right.
[01:48:21] And all the jokes.
[01:48:22] What's her name?
[01:48:23] Kristen Bell is amazing in the show.
[01:48:26] Yeah.
[01:48:26] She's such a good anchor.
[01:48:27] So I say that was amazing.
[01:48:30] Yeah.
[01:48:30] And doesn't she, does she play a rabbi in that or does she play?
[01:48:34] She's going to watch it and then you're going to see.
[01:48:36] Okay.
[01:48:37] Yeah.
[01:48:38] My number two was Fallout.
[01:48:40] Ooh.
[01:48:40] I could see that.
[01:48:42] And you are a gamer.
[01:48:43] So that, yeah, that kind of does make sense.
[01:48:44] I still don't forgive you for Agatha all along, but it does make sense.
[01:48:48] Fallout.
[01:48:50] Again, I played the games.
[01:48:52] I am a, I'm one of the dudes that plays Fallout and everything.
[01:48:56] You're a pit boy.
[01:48:56] I wouldn't say I'm a pit boy, but I mean, definitely, definitely a very amazing adaptation of the
[01:49:05] games.
[01:49:06] Very much lives in the universe.
[01:49:08] And it's, it's one of those things that I believe should be the, that should be the model for video
[01:49:16] game movies or shows or things like that is you don't have to make a movie or a show
[01:49:21] that is an adaptation of the property.
[01:49:24] Make something that lives in the universe.
[01:49:25] That makes sense.
[01:49:27] Right.
[01:49:28] It's the same thing.
[01:49:28] I do agree with that.
[01:49:30] I think that's a very good assessment.
[01:49:31] Yeah.
[01:49:31] You can do a show or a movie with the characters from the games or from all that stuff, but
[01:49:37] give it, make it an adventure that is not, you know, a part of the games.
[01:49:43] Again, I've, I've complained about Halo enough, so I'm not going to go like, like huge on that.
[01:49:47] But if you would have done the origin story of Master Chief, you know, without ignoring
[01:49:53] everything that's gone on in the games, then that would have been a better property.
[01:49:57] Yeah.
[01:49:57] Right.
[01:49:57] But they ignore it.
[01:49:58] That's what I've always thought they should go for, for like a Mass Effect show or an Elder
[01:50:02] School show or whatever.
[01:50:03] Right.
[01:50:03] And Amazon's doing Mass Effect.
[01:50:05] So, I mean, I'm, I'm, I'm hoping that Amazon does adjust this.
[01:50:07] Yeah, I have, I have some hope.
[01:50:08] So, you know, but I mean, like, again, Amazon has done a really good job with adapting properties.
[01:50:14] And so I'm not, um, like I'm not throwing out the faith when it comes to when, when they
[01:50:20] announce we're doing this, like they announced they're doing Voltron.
[01:50:23] I'm, I'm keeping hope that they're going to do a good Voltron because they did fall out
[01:50:27] so well that I think that they can do that with everything.
[01:50:31] And, uh, again, it's 100% something that is in universe.
[01:50:35] It's not something that doesn't make sense in the games.
[01:50:38] Everything that happens in that show is something that you can connect to the games.
[01:50:44] And make sense even to the stuff that they added.
[01:50:46] Right.
[01:50:47] Because there are times where you run into, um, where you run into ghouls in the game and
[01:50:53] you'll have ghouls that can, that, that are like normal talking people and then ghouls
[01:50:57] that are feral.
[01:50:58] Right.
[01:50:58] And they gave an explanation as to why you see that in the games.
[01:51:02] They gave them that serum.
[01:51:03] And it's like, dude, that makes so much sense.
[01:51:05] I can't wait to see that in the game because that wasn't something that's ever been in the
[01:51:08] games.
[01:51:09] And it's like, that is so cool because like you give a reason for, uh, ghouls.
[01:51:14] Not to be feral.
[01:51:15] You know what I mean?
[01:51:16] So I, I, again, they added.
[01:51:18] So you're saying that they made it make sense.
[01:51:20] Right.
[01:51:21] You know, they, they, they, they took things that didn't make sense in the games that really
[01:51:25] didn't need an explanation in the games, but they added to the lore.
[01:51:29] And that's kind of what needs to happen with these adaptations is don't, don't take a misstep
[01:51:34] and leave things out.
[01:51:36] Add to the, to the world building into the lore and you get things like, like the fallout
[01:51:40] show.
[01:51:41] Okay.
[01:51:41] Hence why it's so high on my list.
[01:51:44] For number two.
[01:51:45] Yeah.
[01:51:45] This is why it's so high on my list.
[01:51:47] I'm mad, but solid explanation for number two.
[01:51:49] Yeah.
[01:51:50] I mean, you can keep digging that hole.
[01:51:52] That's okay.
[01:51:53] That's fine.
[01:51:53] Or fours.
[01:51:54] What do you got?
[01:51:55] I got to figure it up too.
[01:51:56] I, I actually did have a number four and I'm sorry.
[01:51:59] I totally forgot it, but my number four was Cobra Kai season six.
[01:52:03] Oh, I, that's not on my list.
[01:52:06] That, that, that's it.
[01:52:07] That's one of my honorable mentions.
[01:52:08] The only reason Agatha had it beat was because Agatha had an ending.
[01:52:13] We haven't seen the end of Cobra Kai season six, but the hanger we have on season six was
[01:52:20] such an incredible twist.
[01:52:21] And so just amazing because it makes you, we're basically in spoiler territory now, right?
[01:52:27] Yeah.
[01:52:27] Okay.
[01:52:28] Yeah.
[01:52:28] So the way the show has you believing for such a long time that Miyagi at some point could
[01:52:34] have been a villain.
[01:52:35] Yeah.
[01:52:35] Really not.
[01:52:36] He was just the way, the way they set him up to make you believe, wow, Mr. Miyagi just
[01:52:41] is not the saint we thought he was, but then it turns out, no, it's not that he's not a
[01:52:46] saint.
[01:52:46] It's that he just understands what happens and what can happen at the Senkai Tai Kai and
[01:52:53] history is bound to repeat itself.
[01:52:54] And lo and behold, it did with the knife.
[01:52:57] And that was, first of all, it was incredibly shocking when it went down.
[01:53:01] And number two, very, very sad.
[01:53:03] And number three, that is probably the best season finale fight scene we've seen since
[01:53:09] season two.
[01:53:10] The all out brawl.
[01:53:11] Yeah.
[01:53:12] That brawl.
[01:53:13] When you thought it was going to come to an end, they just, they, they flipped to somebody
[01:53:17] else.
[01:53:17] They flipped to somebody else and then they pan out.
[01:53:19] It's, I mean, it would, if they had done it all in one shot, it would have beaten out
[01:53:24] season one of daredevil is in terms of just an all out brawl.
[01:53:27] Season six of Cobra Kai is out freaking standing.
[01:53:31] Yeah.
[01:53:31] But Agatha has it beat because Agatha had a very proper ending.
[01:53:35] Yeah.
[01:53:36] I, uh, I actually, I thought his number two was Agatha, but I mean, no, his number two
[01:53:41] is, he hasn't said it.
[01:53:43] No, I just, I had to give you my number four.
[01:53:44] I had to give you my number four.
[01:53:45] Agatha was his number three.
[01:53:46] Agatha was my three.
[01:53:47] Here's my number two.
[01:53:48] My number two is X-Men 97.
[01:53:51] Oh, that surprises me.
[01:53:53] I'm shocked.
[01:53:53] I thought it would be your number one.
[01:53:55] I thought that was going to be your number one.
[01:53:56] My number one will shock you, but number two, um, I, there's nothing I can say about
[01:54:02] X-Men 97.
[01:54:03] I haven't said before.
[01:54:04] X-Men 97 was perfection.
[01:54:05] Period.
[01:54:06] Point blank.
[01:54:06] That's it.
[01:54:07] I'm done.
[01:54:07] That's why it's my number three.
[01:54:18] Our number one.
[01:54:21] All right.
[01:54:22] I wish we had a better voice actor for that.
[01:54:25] Number one.
[01:54:26] Oh, see, in a world.
[01:54:28] Number one.
[01:54:30] All right.
[01:54:30] Number one.
[01:54:32] I mean, oh, sorry.
[01:54:33] Number one, bub.
[01:54:34] I think you've probably seen this number one coming for about seven miles now.
[01:54:39] Okay.
[01:54:40] But, um, down, down, down the road, down the richest road.
[01:54:45] It may just be recency bias, but my expectations for the show were pretty neutral, but they
[01:54:49] were met and surpassed at every turn of the road from earworm musical numbers to WandaVision
[01:54:55] style bits and settings to no straight witches to analog magic and a truly touching story of
[01:55:00] reincarnation and fitting in for the love of death.
[01:55:03] This was the best notey show of 2024 and needs no other explanation.
[01:55:08] Wow.
[01:55:09] Definitely tell that he is of my blood.
[01:55:12] Right.
[01:55:12] Cause Jen's number one was also Agatha.
[01:55:15] He's your Wiccan.
[01:55:16] Yes.
[01:55:17] If y'all didn't see this one coming, you haven't been paying attention.
[01:55:22] My number one is Agatha all along.
[01:55:25] I've been waiting.
[01:55:27] This is the show I've been waiting for since the moment WandaVision ended.
[01:55:32] This is how long I've been waiting for it.
[01:55:34] Three long years.
[01:55:36] I feel like I was under that spell as well for three long years.
[01:55:39] Uh, it was not what I expected, but it was totally what I expected.
[01:55:46] And every person involved in the show deserves all the awards.
[01:55:49] The only nitpicky thing I have to say about my favorite show of 2024 is when they go down
[01:55:56] the stairs in the road in episode two, the roots were a little Disney theme park ride-ish.
[01:56:03] But by the end, it all made sense.
[01:56:07] But at the time it was a complaint.
[01:56:09] Uh, so the casting for the show was amazing.
[01:56:13] The writing embodied all the characters.
[01:56:15] Uh, it, the stuff that they changed in the show were changes based on what had already
[01:56:24] happened in the MCU.
[01:56:25] So I felt like instead of the changes being such a, uh, a distraction, they actually were
[01:56:33] an enhancement because like they still kept the majority of the, of Wiccan's reemergence,
[01:56:41] I guess you could say, um, kept that pretty close.
[01:56:44] And like the, some of the stuff they did, they've had to change some because in MCU, but
[01:56:49] that was it.
[01:56:50] So there were a lot of callbacks.
[01:56:53] Huh?
[01:56:53] I called that from the beginning.
[01:56:54] Oh yeah, absolutely.
[01:56:56] You, you were, I have given you all the props on that.
[01:56:59] You were like right there.
[01:57:00] Uh, but there were callbacks and unexpected, unexpected twists in almost every single episode.
[01:57:06] I loved it.
[01:57:07] You thought, oh, this is the main, uh, aha moment.
[01:57:11] And then they went, no, actually it's this one.
[01:57:14] And then you went, oh, it's that one.
[01:57:15] And then they went, no, it's actually this one.
[01:57:18] So, I mean, there were so many things and it was great.
[01:57:20] Uh, so I could not have asked for a better MCU Disney plus series.
[01:57:24] Everyone got what they wanted in the end and a new chapter was started.
[01:57:29] I could talk for 24 hours about this show, but I'm not going to.
[01:57:34] So I'm going to stop now.
[01:57:36] And of course, rest in peace, Lilia.
[01:57:38] Yeah.
[01:57:39] Oh, Lilia.
[01:57:40] And have you, have you thought about this?
[01:57:42] That Agatha is from Westview and that William Harper is from Eastview.
[01:57:49] So they're the wicked witch of the West and the wicked witch of the East.
[01:57:52] Have y'all thought about that?
[01:57:54] No, no, you hadn't.
[01:57:55] But I did.
[01:57:56] Kaplan.
[01:57:56] Oh, Kaplan.
[01:57:57] I said Harper is Kaplan.
[01:57:58] You said Harper.
[01:57:59] All right, Phil, my number.
[01:58:01] What was your number one?
[01:58:02] Pray tell.
[01:58:03] My number one was the highest rated show of the year.
[01:58:08] Got all the Emmys.
[01:58:09] Shogun.
[01:58:10] Oh, you're so Asian sometimes.
[01:58:15] Shogun had some of the best writing, some of the best acting.
[01:58:20] The storyline was compelling the entire time.
[01:58:23] Every episode made you want more.
[01:58:26] One other thing you guys may not have noticed, and I noticed this, me and Jen had the same exact list, but we were, our episodes were just different.
[01:58:34] The shows are just in a different order, yes.
[01:58:36] Right.
[01:58:36] But it's the same exact shows in our top five.
[01:58:39] Right.
[01:58:40] So I was like, Jen, you can hate me as much as you want.
[01:58:44] We picked the same exact shows for our top five.
[01:58:48] And I said at the very beginning.
[01:58:49] How dare you betray Agatha like this?
[01:58:51] And I said at the very beginning that each of these shows were easily my number one.
[01:58:56] I had to rate them.
[01:58:58] That's all it is.
[01:58:59] I was forced to rate them and put them in a rating area.
[01:59:02] Yeah.
[01:59:02] So, I mean, like all of these shows were all shows that I would consider my favorite show of the year.
[01:59:07] These are all shows that I, most of them I've watched multiple times.
[01:59:12] You know, like these are amazing shows.
[01:59:14] And again, the way Shogun was written, the way Shogun was done, it's absolute perfection.
[01:59:21] Yeah.
[01:59:22] As far as the range.
[01:59:23] I will say that both of them are very rewatchable.
[01:59:26] Shogun and Agatha all along.
[01:59:29] Because when you watch Shogun the first time, you miss some stuff.
[01:59:33] So when you watch it again, and I got the pleasure of doing that when Shadu watched them all again, that I noticed more stuff.
[01:59:43] And with Agatha all along, I'm actually probably going to watch it this month again.
[01:59:48] And it'll be my fifth time watching it.
[01:59:50] I've noticed new things every single time.
[01:59:53] And good shows are going to have that.
[01:59:54] Especially when you have a show that has a good twist in it.
[01:59:57] You know, you're going to see things like that.
[01:59:58] You're going to see the setup and what they planted.
[02:00:01] Right. You know, again, for those of you out there who may not have seen Shogun yet, it's a lot of it is also what I love about it.
[02:00:09] Because it's, again, the smart writing in there is it is two cultures clashing and each culture thinking the same thing about the other culture.
[02:00:20] Yeah.
[02:00:20] Right. So you have this Englishman who technically he's speaking Portuguese.
[02:00:26] But I mean, like this Englishman that is, I'm going to say, in the care of the Japanese.
[02:00:31] Right.
[02:00:32] He's a prisoner.
[02:00:33] But I mean, like, you know.
[02:00:34] Under the influence of the Japanese.
[02:00:36] He thinks the Japanese are savages.
[02:00:38] But at the same time, the Japanese think that he's a savage.
[02:00:43] And they, like, you know, it's this.
[02:00:45] He's slow.
[02:00:46] The both of them are slowly understanding each other's culture.
[02:00:49] And why they're the way they are and what advantages each one has.
[02:00:54] And again, it's just it's an amazing melding of cultures.
[02:00:58] And it's so beautifully written.
[02:01:01] Again, I think it was damn near perfect TV.
[02:01:04] Right.
[02:01:04] Yeah.
[02:01:04] But so was.
[02:01:06] Yeah.
[02:01:06] Right.
[02:01:07] But so was Agatha all along.
[02:01:09] So was Fallout.
[02:01:10] So was X-Men 97.
[02:01:12] There were a lot of really good shows.
[02:01:14] Yeah.
[02:01:14] This year, I think, is the conclusion.
[02:01:16] You know, it was a hard year.
[02:01:17] It really was.
[02:01:18] Yeah.
[02:01:18] No, it was really hard.
[02:01:19] But we've got James.
[02:01:21] Yes.
[02:01:22] We have two more people.
[02:01:23] Yeah.
[02:01:23] All right, James.
[02:01:24] So let's let them.
[02:01:25] What is your number one?
[02:01:26] My number one was.
[02:01:29] Forza's number two.
[02:01:30] X-Men 97.
[02:01:33] Oh, there we go, baby.
[02:01:35] It had to come in first.
[02:01:37] I grew up on the X-Men.
[02:01:38] Look, he's got an X-Men shirt on.
[02:01:40] You know, it's one of those things where it's like, we all love this show back in the day.
[02:01:44] And seeing it come back and then creating like an extension of the show.
[02:01:49] The show grew up like we all grew up watching this show.
[02:01:53] And now we're all adults.
[02:01:54] And now the show grew up.
[02:01:55] It's like, hey, this is the show that you love this kids.
[02:01:57] Oh, that's awesome.
[02:01:58] But we're going to add another layer to it.
[02:02:00] And what they did with the characters on that show was amazing.
[02:02:04] And how they created so much depth with what was really an afternoon cartoon.
[02:02:09] Right?
[02:02:10] You know, to create that much layering with these characters and expand the stories.
[02:02:15] And what they did with Gambit never saw good.
[02:02:19] Never saw that coming.
[02:02:20] Remember it.
[02:02:21] Let's also remember that it's probably Lenore Zahn's greatest performance.
[02:02:28] Yeah.
[02:02:28] Yeah.
[02:02:29] So I love that show.
[02:02:30] We've all talked.
[02:02:31] I think we all had it on some of our lists somewhere.
[02:02:34] So I love that.
[02:02:35] All right.
[02:02:36] So Forrest, what is your number one?
[02:02:38] Again, coming out of left field.
[02:02:40] But nothing this year blew me away harder than Demon Slayer, the Hashida training arc.
[02:02:47] Oh, man.
[02:02:47] Oh, look at you.
[02:02:49] This was probably the most emotional roller coaster I have ever been on in an anime series.
[02:02:58] And I've been through many.
[02:02:59] But this is why it beat X-Men.
[02:03:02] And it didn't beat it by much.
[02:03:03] I don't even call it a beat.
[02:03:05] I mean, it was.
[02:03:05] I mean, it's barely.
[02:03:07] I mean, it's marginal.
[02:03:12] Demon Slayer won it for the absolute ironclad twist that they pulled on the main villain,
[02:03:20] Muzan Kibbutzji.
[02:03:21] And because you've got this series filled with all this crazy, magical vampire lore.
[02:03:29] And they undo him with science.
[02:03:32] And it's mind boggling how deep they go.
[02:03:37] I mean, there are so many participants.
[02:03:39] There is betrayal.
[02:03:41] There is test of trust.
[02:03:42] And what brings it all together is this gorgeous soundtrack at the end where you think they're
[02:03:50] going to bring Muzan down.
[02:03:52] And then the whole demon castle just pops up out of nowhere.
[02:03:57] Sucks every Demon Slayer in.
[02:03:59] The Infinity Castle.
[02:04:00] The Infinity Castle.
[02:04:01] And then Muzan issues his challenge to Tanjiro.
[02:04:05] And it solidifies now that there is bad blood between Muzan and Tanjiro.
[02:04:11] And the way they let that hang right there.
[02:04:14] I mean, once those credits hit and the epic track is still playing, my spine is still tingling.
[02:04:22] My heart is beating so hard.
[02:04:23] It's like, just give me 30 more seconds to see what happens.
[02:04:27] But Demon, yeah.
[02:04:28] That episode, especially with the surprise of the explosion and the loss of the master
[02:04:34] and the wife and the children.
[02:04:36] And you're thinking in the first three seconds, oh my god, Muzan has literally this much power?
[02:04:42] No.
[02:04:43] The whole damn house was laced with explosives.
[02:04:45] That was not Muzan who did it.
[02:04:47] The master blew his own freaking family up to take this dude out.
[02:04:50] And I was like, well, wait a minute, wait a minute.
[02:04:53] Muzan did not just do it.
[02:04:54] He didn't.
[02:04:54] And then here comes the Earth Hashira.
[02:04:56] And then here comes Tanjiro.
[02:04:58] And here, I mean, here comes all of them.
[02:05:00] You think it's over.
[02:05:01] Nope.
[02:05:01] Here comes the castle.
[02:05:02] And then the challenge.
[02:05:03] And then you're left.
[02:05:05] And at the very end, you're left thinking to yourself, oh my god, where the hell is Nezuko?
[02:05:09] So yeah, I mean, I was shaking at the end of that.
[02:05:12] I haven't watched season four yet, man.
[02:05:13] I definitely need to watch it.
[02:05:15] Yeah, it sounds good.
[02:05:19] It's ridiculous.
[02:05:20] And it's so good.
[02:05:21] I'm so glad that you're here for this.
[02:05:24] So we have this diversity of opinion, diversity of opinions.
[02:05:27] Yeah, absolutely.
[02:05:28] I love that.
[02:05:29] I love how passionate you are about that, too.
[02:05:32] I can see it and hear it and all of that.
[02:05:35] Well, that and I just did.
[02:05:35] I just finished a fandom of.
[02:05:39] Well, you know, that also helps.
[02:05:43] Hey, freshen your mind.
[02:05:45] It's not necessary.
[02:05:46] Yeah, that's what I said.
[02:05:46] I said, I might be recency bias.
[02:05:49] But I mean, you know, it's those impactful moments that really leave you.
[02:05:54] Like, where does that leave you at the end?
[02:05:55] Where did Gambit leave us?
[02:05:57] Gambit left us hit really hard.
[02:06:00] Where did the 1970s X-Men costumes leave us?
[02:06:04] Like, oh my god.
[02:06:05] You know, like X-Men was perfection start to finish.
[02:06:08] But it didn't have as many of those oh my god moments as some of the other series we got to see this year.
[02:06:15] Yeah.
[02:06:16] But clearly, you know, in this Forza's humble opinion, nothing shook me.
[02:06:21] Like the Masters family and Muzan, that was the number one moment of the year for me.
[02:06:26] It was just absolutely sick.
[02:06:28] That and Cobra Kai.
[02:06:29] Yeah.
[02:06:29] Unfortunately, I have to wait until it hits Netflix to watch it.
[02:06:33] It is on Netflix.
[02:06:34] Season four is on Netflix already?
[02:06:36] It's the Hashida training arc hit Hulu first.
[02:06:38] It just hit Netflix two weeks ago.
[02:06:41] Oh, that's probably why I didn't know.
[02:06:42] Because they don't really advertise it.
[02:06:44] I usually find it's like, oh my god, hold on.
[02:06:46] Season four is on here.
[02:06:47] I got to watch it.
[02:06:47] Well, now I know what I'm watching tonight.
[02:06:51] So now that you're going down the road on your voice acting journey, how has watching anime changed for you?
[02:07:03] How do I say this without sounding like a pretentious piece of shit?
[02:07:08] Are you saying that you feel like you could do better than all of them?
[02:07:13] You will be very surprised after some acting classes and some performance classes and some script reading classes and like 10,000 auditions and audiobook auditions and reading stuff and script working and team script working.
[02:07:32] And some pretty harsh revelations after talking to a few ADRs and other actors.
[02:07:41] You get your heartbroken about a few things.
[02:07:44] A lot of the rugs are pulled out from underneath you.
[02:07:48] What you think, how you think the industry works is not how the industry really works.
[02:07:53] Right.
[02:07:54] See how the sausage is made, so to speak.
[02:07:56] Like, it's like when you find out you paid too much for your Michelin tire because all the tires are made in the same factory.
[02:08:05] So, Shadu, to your point, yeah, there are some things up on some of these platforms where you watch them and you're like, ah, it's anime.
[02:08:12] And then, you know, my academy members and I, you know, we watch through a lot of this stuff and we're like, no, we can do this better.
[02:08:19] But the reason, but you know what the reason is?
[02:08:22] A lot of the time when, when anime comes over from Japan, many of these studios do not have the time to cold read scripts.
[02:08:30] They don't have the time to go through the audition process.
[02:08:34] They are, they're picking people as quick as they can.
[02:08:36] They're picking who's available.
[02:08:37] They're getting them in the studio as fast as possible.
[02:08:39] They literally have hours to pump out dozens of episodes of things.
[02:08:44] So, there really isn't time to get that director's feedback that you think something like maybe Dragon Ball, like a major, major thing would deserve.
[02:08:52] Like, a new Dragon Ball super movie you know is going to get the time and the bread and butter and the love and the care.
[02:08:59] But, you know, something like, you know, if they're pumping out a crap ton of, like, okay, take One Piece, for example, on episode 1114.
[02:09:07] I mean, do you really think these guys have time to cold read these scripts and practice them?
[02:09:11] No.
[02:09:11] They got to get them pumped out.
[02:09:13] And that's where you can, you can start to identify, okay, maybe this script was rushed.
[02:09:17] Maybe this person, because the character's not on screen, it sounds like they just read it off the paper.
[02:09:21] And you start to identify little things like that.
[02:09:23] Does it make it bad?
[02:09:24] No, it doesn't make it bad because that's the industry.
[02:09:27] That's just how it works.
[02:09:28] Do you wish that it could be better once you've seen what goes on behind the scenes?
[02:09:32] Yeah.
[02:09:33] But again, these studios aren't out to impress other actors.
[02:09:37] They're out to entertain the, they're out to entertain the public.
[02:09:40] And as long as the public is entertained, then they've achieved their mission.
[02:09:44] Bread and circuses, folks.
[02:09:45] Bread and circuses.
[02:09:45] You know what I mean?
[02:09:46] So to answer your question, are there some things that I can do better that others can do better?
[02:09:50] Yes.
[02:09:51] Many things.
[02:09:52] That was a hyperbolic joke for the record.
[02:09:54] It's okay.
[02:09:55] It's a very realistic answer.
[02:09:57] No.
[02:09:58] And that's really, that's really interesting insight too.
[02:10:01] I really never thought about it that way.
[02:10:03] There are things, there are things that would just shock you.
[02:10:06] Yeah.
[02:10:06] That I'll tell you off show.
[02:10:09] Well, guys, speaking of the, where we're going from here and everything like that.
[02:10:15] And speaking of things we could do better than other people.
[02:10:18] We got merch people.
[02:10:20] We got merch people.
[02:10:24] I'm hitting the button too fast.
[02:10:27] We got merch people.
[02:10:29] Wait, do we have merch?
[02:10:30] We have merch.
[02:10:31] All right.
[02:10:32] We don't have hat because, you know, hats don't exist.
[02:10:33] Yeah.
[02:10:34] I was about to say, do we have hat or no?
[02:10:36] No, Ming Chen has hat.
[02:10:37] You have to DM Ming Chen.
[02:10:39] He will sell you a hat.
[02:10:40] Yes.
[02:10:41] But we do have shirts.
[02:10:43] So again, DM us.
[02:10:44] We got black shirts.
[02:10:46] We got white shirts.
[02:10:47] Yep.
[02:10:47] We got shirts.
[02:10:48] We got all the shirts.
[02:10:48] We got the diversity of shirts.
[02:10:50] We have white shirts in black.

[02:11:04] Right.
[02:11:04] Take out your enemies.
[02:11:06] Yeah.
[02:11:07] Take out your enemies with the official distance.
[02:11:10] It will not come.
[02:11:11] You will have to assemble it yourself.
[02:11:12] The instructions will be in Swedish.
[02:11:14] But speaking.
[02:11:15] Made by Ikea.
[02:11:17] You should understand the majority of it.
[02:11:18] Right.
[02:11:18] Right.
[02:11:19] It's called the Nordington.
[02:11:22] Yes, it is.
[02:11:23] It is straight from distance Nording as well.
[02:11:25] So distance Nording.
[02:11:26] It does come with three cannonballs.
[02:11:28] They are branded stamped.
[02:11:30] Yes.
[02:11:30] With the DM logo on.
[02:11:31] You will have to buy the rest of them though if you want other ones.
[02:11:34] Yeah.
[02:11:34] But they're paper mache.
[02:11:36] So, you know, don't.
[02:11:37] Yeah.
[02:11:38] And then of course the distance third in tank.
[02:11:40] If you want one of those.
[02:11:41] Right.
[02:11:41] It is the size of a micro machine.
[02:11:43] We only have one of those.
[02:11:43] It's the size of a micro machine.
[02:11:45] But I mean, still it's a tank.
[02:11:46] Yep.
[02:11:46] And we only have one.
[02:11:47] Oh, I thought you were talking about like tank tops.
[02:11:48] I would love a tank top.
[02:11:50] So would I.
[02:11:50] I think.
[02:11:51] Well.
[02:11:52] In all reality, I think we do need to make a tank top.
[02:11:54] Yeah.
[02:11:54] Yeah.
[02:11:55] Maybe we can put in, but we have the Malort.
[02:11:58] But we have the Malort.
[02:12:00] We have the Malort.
[02:12:01] I don't know.
[02:12:02] I kind of want a navy blue 2025 Unipool distance earning shirt.
[02:12:08] Oh, there you go.
[02:12:09] Ooh.
[02:12:10] Yeah.
[02:12:12] Well, ladies and gentlemen.
[02:12:13] Riding on a unicorn.
[02:12:14] Riding on a unicorn.
[02:12:16] Unipool riding on a unicorn.
[02:12:18] It'll be amazing.
[02:12:19] We'll get our artists on that right now.
[02:12:22] Ladies and gentlemen, let's talk schedule.
[02:12:23] Our schedule as of this moment is Tuesdays.
[02:12:26] The show you're watching right now, the download from 630 to 830.
[02:12:29] All the fun.
[02:12:30] Of course, all the new segments that we're going to be bringing on the show.
[02:12:33] Because why not?
[02:12:34] Let's have fun.
[02:12:35] Yeah.
[02:12:36] Well, you know, there's not a lot of stories this month, so we're going to have fun.
[02:12:39] We're going to do some stuff.
[02:12:40] Thursdays and Fridays, we're doing the build.
[02:12:43] So, yes, the build is two days a week now.
[02:12:46] This week, we've got Robbie J. Atkinson.
[02:12:48] She is a filmmaker, and she's going to be on the show.
[02:12:52] She had a reschedule from last month, but she will be on the show on Thursday.
[02:12:55] And then we have another filmmaker on December 6th.
[02:12:59] The makers of a film that is on Amazon right now called The Haunting of Hollywood.
[02:13:05] So that is another thing that we're going to be doing here.
[02:13:08] We're going to be talking with the filmmakers that have made those two films.
[02:13:12] That is our deal on this week.
[02:13:15] Thursday, of course, is Robbie J. Atkinson and Friday, the one-hour show,
[02:13:20] which is just the interview with the filmmakers that made The Haunting of Hollywood.
[02:13:26] So tune in for that, guys.
[02:13:27] We're going to have all the fun with all that stuff there.
[02:13:29] And I'm going to be building more stuff.
[02:13:31] At the moment, I am building the space shuttle Discovery.
[02:13:36] Very cool.
[02:13:37] Ooh, that would be a good build.
[02:13:38] Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now.
[02:13:39] That is a good build.
[02:13:41] Build.
[02:13:41] If you build it, we will shoot it into space.
[02:13:44] Not really.
[02:13:45] Because it's Legos and it would fall right apart.
[02:13:47] And by shoot it into space, I mean I'm going to throw it at Tyler when I'm done with it.
[02:13:51] Well, I mean, it won't break if you apply the craggle.
[02:13:53] That's true.
[02:13:54] There you go.
[02:13:55] Yeah.
[02:13:55] All right.
[02:13:55] Great.
[02:13:57] Plugables.
[02:13:57] Let's hit it.
[02:13:58] Plugables.
[02:13:59] All right.
[02:14:00] So let's do these plugables, guys.
[02:14:02] Where's my mouse?
[02:14:03] Come here.
[02:14:38] All right.
[02:14:41] In the meantime, we are filming season two of Classified.
[02:14:45] I am also in the distance learning sphere, as you can see.
[02:14:48] I'm on the download on Tuesdays, which is the very show you're watching right now.
[02:14:51] The build on Thursdays and sometimes on Fridays.
[02:14:54] And I am supposedly on Kyber Gate Productions.
[02:14:57] Supposedly.
[02:14:57] Supposedly.

[02:17:32] It's still mainly pictures of Aaron Watson's feet and mandals, the beard.
[02:17:36] Jamez's glasses sitting on a table staring at you and judging you for putting Agatha all along at the number five spot.
[02:17:45] Of course, should do.
[02:17:47] Willing to do anything for pennies.

[02:18:11] If you'd like us to break up with your boyfriend, girlfriend, significant other, pet, schoolyard bully, annoying neighbor, or just tell us how much you enjoy us or want to watch the internet devour us and spit us out at the feet of young Phil's horrible list.
[02:18:30] No.
[02:18:30] At the feet of Jen, ready to bite your head off for putting Agatha all along at number five.
[02:18:37] I cannot believe that.
[02:18:38] We will not discuss this again.
[02:18:41] What would I miss?
[02:18:42] If you really want to send us an email about how much you hate that I put Agatha all along at number five, shoot us an email at dist.
[02:18:50] Damn, it's good to be back.
[02:18:53] I am writing that email out as we speak.
[02:18:56] Did we lose James?

[02:19:05] And we will read it live on the air.
[02:19:09] So somebody take James's line.
[02:19:11] Thanks.
[02:19:12] And keep nerding.
[02:19:13] Nerding.
[02:19:14] Together.
[02:19:15] Together.
[02:19:17] Together.
[02:19:17] Together.
[02:19:19] Together.

[02:19:20] All right, ladies and gentlemen, that is it from us.
[02:19:22] It is now time for the dance party.

[02:19:53] Distance nerding.
[02:20:20] Just remember, should you do anything for money?
[02:20:22] Yes, yes, I will.
[02:20:23] Any small amount.
[02:20:24] No, I will get to set the price.
[02:20:25] Any small amount that you can give.
[02:20:27] Not small amount.
[02:20:28] I'm saying.
[02:20:29] Tuppens.
[02:20:30] He just needs some tuppens.
[02:20:31] You must discuss it extensively.
[02:20:33] He needs three pennies and he'll give you a handjob.
[02:20:37] It's great.
[02:20:39] He calls that the three penny opera.
[02:20:41] Depends on how old the penny.
[02:20:44] Three penny opera.
[02:20:45] That is good.
