[00:00:46] This note is powered by Twix. Ladies and gentlemen, oh yeah, that's the advertisement we want. Oh God, I think I've got one. You're getting the weird voice? Well, we'll find out here in a second. Ladies and gentlemen, it's Taco Tuesday. And you know what that means? You are now experiencing Distance Nerding.
[00:01:13] Part of the Comic-Con Radio Podcast family. She's the Snow White to us Dwarves. It's Jen from Fray Comics. I mean, I feel like I'm an evil stepmother, then I would be Snow White. Come on, let's face it, people.
[00:01:42] Oh, whoops. That's Shadoo. It's supposed to be Shadoo. Oh, that's Shadoo. That's Shadoo. That's Shadoo. Who wrote these? It's Shadoo 5000. James for sure. Copy paste. It's already falling apart. We've been here like three seconds. It's already falling apart. Hold on, I'm gonna change like that. If anybody wants to do some show prep, just jump in. Yep, alright. Alright, great. So anyway. Alright. Alright, take two, everybody. Can you hear me?
[00:02:12] God, we are way off right now. You guys are on production staff? What's happening there? Can you guys hear me? Yeah, we can hear you. Okay. Am I demon-y? No. You're fine. You guys wouldn't tell me if I was anyway. You think it's funny. No. Sorry. No, I was having a problem with my normal earbuds. And so I had to get the fancy line. And as we know, I don't do stuff. I'm talent. So I have to have people doing stuff to me. That's true. That's absolutely true.
[00:02:42] Yeah. So anyway. Hey, hi. So apparently Shadoo's not reading lines here. Hi, Laura. Did we finish it? Did we know together yet? No. Like I said, apparently Shadoo's not reading lines anymore, so. Well, I'm sorry. I was... Look, I thought we were gonna go through the whole thing again. Cause then it's introducing me and then... Okay, she's the Snow White to us Dwarves. It's Jen from Frey Comics. Right? Okay, there we go. Then Frey. He's the Omega to our bad batch.
[00:03:11] It's Shadoo. Right. He's the asterisk to our podcast. It's Java's 5,000! Yeah, he is. Again, I say, who wrote these? And he's one bowl cut away from being our He-Man. It's Young Phil. Cause I have the... Why wouldn't... Why wouldn't you say... We're here to nerd together! Nerd together! Nerd together! No, I have a... I have questions. Oh, God. Do I look like the Snow White type to you? Hey, you're Snow Whiter than me.
[00:03:41] She's the evil queen to our dwarves. There we go. Um, I have a brand to protect. Snow White is not in that brand. No, I'm just kidding. And we're here to nerd together. Nerd together! We're talking about anything. Pop culture, movies, news, music, food, wrestling, comics, whatever you're nerding out on, we want to talk about it. And ten minutes later, YouTubers, hit that like button. Hit that subscribe button. That really helps us out.

But give them Distance Nerding at Gmail. Yeah, no. It still works. We will get it either way. Yeah. And we will read it live on air. And we will read it live on air.

I think there is. All right. Well, ladies and gentlemen-
[00:06:16] Isn't it tensile in tensile town? Nope. Not for this. Oh, okay. Gotcha. But before we get into all of that, and you know, at some point we'll get back on track. Uh, let me get a shout out. Speaking of StocktonCon, I ran into our good buddy who's in the chat, Eric Ruiz at a Kings game and he will be at StocktonCon. So make sure you go check him out.
[00:09:40] He'll be there hanging out. Our good friend of the show who's coming, gonna be on our show real soon. Brandon McKinney, storyboard artist and director of Harley Quinn, the animated series. He'll be on and he'll be at StocktonCon doing some autographs and signing his new book, Crimson Storm. So I don't know when in like a week or two, he'll be on to talk about Crimson Storm. Yeah. Well, he hasn't booked the day yet, but we got to get him on. Yeah, I know he's gonna be on soon. Cause his campaign starts in March.
[00:10:10] In March, right? Yeah. So I definitely want to have him on before then. But yes, guys, come and check him out. Yeah. There you go. Awesome. All right. Well, let's, let's, let's get into this. Let's get into the first segment here. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to start some rumors. Ooh. And that rumor is that we just got banned in Belarus once again.
[00:10:40] Once again. There you go. Every time. Without fail. Well, I mean, Bansy and Jakarta just doesn't have the same ring. Well, I think Belarus lightened up on us. They're like, actually, these guys aren't very, they're not bad. They're kind of funny. We're because we didn't get the flag last time. So we're good. We're good. Maybe it's because we keep like doing over it. Like, and then, so you can't really hear it. Yeah. It's it's the jokes are still there. I mean, like there's three, there's three countries were abandoned in Belarus,
[00:11:10] North Korea, and in Russia. And it's like three countries. I don't care that we're bad. No, no, I'm good. Sorry, Russia. Two of them are overt dictatorships. The other one's a secret dictatorship. So I mean, like, you know, you know, that secret. Yeah, but it's still, there's still technically. Let's get into rumor. Let's go. Anyway. Yeah. Let's do some rumor is they're both. They're all. They're all dictators. They're all, they're all penis potatoes. All right. Okay. All right.
[00:11:39] Sony don't do this. Don't, don't do this to this one last time. Just don't do it to us at all. A new rumor claims that after the events of Spider-Man for Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars, we may have the need for a new Spider-Man. And that reboot may focus on Miles Morales. Fans wonder why Miles Morales is not being part of the MCU's champions. The reason miles is going to be set in a rebooted Sony universe that's set to be established after secret wars. So guys tacos on the table.
[00:12:07] Does miles taking over the Spider-verse get your Peter. I mean, miles tingle tingling to something like that. Uh, tacos on the table. I think Sony's going to try to cash in on the miles phenomenon. Everybody loves miles. Miles is a Spider-Man for a new generation. Yes. They're going to dive into this. Yeah. The rumor is the, the Sony universe. Yeah. We'll have miles as their Spider-Man. That's the rumor. Yeah.
[00:12:35] So the rumor is after secret wars, uh, Peter's gonna kind of take a backseat and they're going to start focusing on miles Morales, which I don't have a problem with that. My issue and where I would like that is if they do like a multiverse thing, mile shows up and you, and kind of how in, in civil war, we got, uh, Peter in there. We didn't get an origin story. We don't need miles's origin story. They already told that in the animated form. We just need miles Morales. Um, my only thing with this is that the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
[00:13:03] is Sony's track record is live action. They tend to screw everything up and I don't want them to mess up miles Morales. Um, I mean, even though I know, I know that James loved matter web, uh, yeah, really, you know, it's yeah. We all have his number one movie of 2024. It was his number one movie. Craven. Yeah. Uh, the other thing is, is I can't wait to hear all the trolls complaining about miles Morales taking over a Spider-Man. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, it would be glorious. Yeah. It's it.
[00:13:33] They're going to, they're going to cry so hard. My miles long tacos are on the table. Nice. My, uh, progressively minded tacos are on the table. I don't know. I couldn't think of anything that didn't sound slightly, uh, insensitive. So I'm just going to, just going to leave it there. It's going to, just going to leave it there and not, uh, not bother them. So you're a white boy in a dark room and you're trying to not be a white boy.
[00:14:01] No, look, just talking to talk about this. Okay. Hey James, what are your talking? My brown tacos. Okay. You see what I'm saying? Brown tacos. Very ethnic. What they're from New York. They're fine. It's fine. They're delicious. Are they from the bodega? They're from the bodega. Thank you very much. Uh, and they're on the table. I think they're going to move over to, to miles. Definitely. I would love that to happen. I think we need miles. I think we should have both miles and Peter.
[00:14:30] And, and I don't think that that's a hard stretch. I agree. There are universes where miles and Peter are, are still there together. The only thing is, is Peter's a little bit older. I do want to see an older Peter Parker where he's like a professor and what is Andrew Garfield doing? Yeah. Yeah. No, no, it's a good point. Exactly. Swing it back. All right. I think that's everybody on here. Does anybody else have any more comments on this before we move on? Nope. I want to talk about Thunderbolt. I approve. All right. Well, she do take it away. We're not heroes. Just a bunch of asterisks. Maybe.
[00:15:01] We're just drawn that way. We're just drawn. Oh God. Marvel fans may have been trying to figure out what the asterisk means and why Marvel Studios tacked tacked on to the title Thunderbolts asterisk. A new international poster may have given us a much simpler answer. At the bottom of the poster in small lettering, it reads the Avengers are not available. That very well could just be the meaning of the asterisk. So talk is on the table. What other Marvel movies need an asterisk? As of right now, everything seems fine.
[00:15:29] So I'm kind of just, just let it go. X-Men with an asterisk. We're just like, oh, we're not sure if they're mutants quite yet. We'll figure it out. I mean, they're not all men. X-Men asterisk. We mean people. X people. X people. X people. X-Men versus inhuman. No, inhumans asterisk. Yes. That wasn't a movie. No, but I'm saying like make a movie and do inhumans asterisk and that's them rebooting inhumans within the universe.
[00:15:59] Oh yeah, they could do that. I think it should be like the young Avengers and the asterisk, the asterisk, I don't know how to say it now. I've lost all meaning of that word. Asterisk. Asterisk. Asterisk. Okay. What is, what I, why is because young Avengers and it'll say, don't call us young. I like it. Yeah. The only issue with that is Bob doesn't want them to be referred to as, as the Avengers, which is dumb. Why?
[00:16:27] Again, I think you're missing a marketing opportunity. Are we talking about Bob Reynolds? Are we talking about Bob Iger? Bob Iger. Bob Iger. Bob Iger is the shit. Yes. Yeah. And yeah, we all agree on that. But he's not a shit from Prague that people have been defenestrated on. He's just a regular shit. Yeah, exactly. Regular. He's not horse shit. He's just a regular shit. Yeah. Horse has not eaten Arby's. No.
[00:16:55] So, I mean, Bob Iger's whole thing is he doesn't want them to be called the Avengers because the brand and he doesn't want them to mess with the brand because the Avengers are the brand. The brand is exactly why you should be doing this. Yeah. Call as many things as he possibly can the Avengers. Yeah. That's what gets people in seats. Yeah. He doesn't get it. He's also, Bob Iger is definitely not a comic book guy. No. He just does it because it makes him money. He's not a comic book guy.
[00:17:24] He's an idiot. Bob Iger calls them the funny pages, people. Yes. That's the kind of guy he is. He calls comic books the funny pages. If he were in a musical, it would be the one where the guy tries to con people into doing a music man. He would be the lead in music man. He'd be the con man. I think that's too much of a compliment because it says that he has acting ability. I never said he I said.
[00:17:54] It's a good point. And your point is we're moving on before we get banned by Disney. Yeah. Jen, Jen, your mic muted again. I think I think YouTube is banning here. I think. Yeah. Iger is like, take her mic down. Iger is like, I see it. Take the mic down. But it's all Bob Iger just being. It's because I'm on the list. Did you guys watch the trailer? Mutual. Oh yeah. I watched the extended trailer. I watched the two minute one. That's that they posted online.
[00:18:21] And it, I mean, I'm even more excited for it, especially like when you start. Oh yeah. Sentry stuff pop in there. Oh yeah. Yeah. They straight up said that the void is going to be in this. Like they showed it at the very beginning that those are powers. Yeah. Those are void, which means that Bobby has been in the world for a while. Yeah. Yeah. I really hope they do the kind of retroactive thing. Yeah. Yeah. I think that'd be cool. Yeah. I do think I think it's going to be good. I'm really excited about it. So am I.
[00:18:51] Anybody else have any, any comments before we move on to the story? I'm good. I'm excited about this. Keep it going. All right. So last rumor we've got here going on guys. Uh, I have to tell you that I actually have a prediction for this that you guys may not see coming. So go ahead. Okay. So spoiler alert. The baby's name is Jack Jack. That's part of, that's part of those movies. Yeah. The fantastic four first steps. IMAX teaser dropped.
[00:19:19] And while most fans were focused on the cosmic visuals and superhero action, one sharp eyed fan may have confirmed a theory about Sue storm at the 54 second mark. We see Johnny storm igniting in flames, ready to take off. But in the background, something interesting is happening. Vanessa Kirby. Sue storm is being helped away, clutching her stomach. This lines up with the rumor that's been circulating for a while. Sue will be pregnant at the start of the movie, ultimately giving birth to Franklin Richards in space.
[00:19:48] In space. Yeah. In space. In space. So guys tacos on the table. Sorry to you, but, but, uh, are we getting another space baby in the MCU? Baby in space. He's not going to have a baby. It's based. Oh yes. What's your prediction for your friends again? All the cursing is muted. When my mic goes out like that. Uh, so what are your thoughts? What was your theory Jen? Okay.
[00:20:18] I think it's going to be too. I think she's, I don't, I think at the very beginning when they get their powers, like when they flashback, that's when Franklin was born in space. Yes. I think she's pregnant again now and she's going to have another baby. And that's going to be, what was the, what's the girl's name? Veronica. What is her name? I don't know. Valora. I think she's going to be the baby at the end. Cause shit. I, here's the thing. She is pregnant. That scene where they're having, oh, we have dinners at the end.
[00:20:48] Seven on Sunday. She's showing a baby bump there, baby. And people, I was going to say babies, babies. You're showing a baby bump, baby. Yeah. Either way. I love that. We're getting the first fantastic four movie in Marvel and immediately they're jumping right down the line. They're just like, we are not waiting. We're not establishing. We've already done that in two other franchises. Right. No, you don't need to know this. You just, just go. Right. Yeah.
[00:21:12] You know, we're jumping right into them having a baby and whether it's, whether it's for Laura or it's, or it's Franklin. I'm hoping it is Franklin because that's going to give us way more storylines. Yeah. No, I think Franklin's going to already be there. I think Franklin is the space baby, but I think she's going to have another baby. Oh, gotcha. Okay. And like, she's going to have a second baby because like that was in the trailer.
[00:21:37] They say, well, when we first got our powers, like, you know, so obviously the conversation they're having is not, they've had their powers for a while. Right. So they'll flash back to Franklin, but Franklin may be a teen at this point. Right. Just throwing it out there. Cause we didn't put the rumor on this week and that's my fault for not flagging it. But, uh, there is a rumor, uh, swirling around right now that, uh, Jonathan majors is going to be, um, reinstated. Oh, that'd be cool. Yeah.
[00:22:05] And so they're going to continue with the, um, with the Richard storyline, you know, cause remember he's what great, great grandson. Yeah. Great, great, great, great, great, great, great. Yeah. So I mean like, you know, if they're going that, that line, like we're getting Franklin right now, that means that's justifying our excuses or not excuses. That's justifying our reasoning for bringing Kang back. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. You know, we'll see. No, I'm, I'm excited about this.
[00:22:33] I'm really, really looking forward to, to this iteration of fantastic four. And I like, I liked the trend recently of you don't need to see the origin story. You've seen it a million times. I'm just going to skip it. Look, they're doing what James Gunn is doing with Superman. Like they seem to be doing a fantastic four where it's like, you get a little bit of it, but you don't need the whole thing. You know how this works. Exactly. Like we, we don't, we don't need it. Like, especially with the franchises that have already had movies. We've seen the, the origin story multiple times. Like we don't need another Spider-Man origin. We don't need another fantastic four.
[00:23:01] It's all about trusting your audience and trusting that they know what, what's going on. Right. Yeah. So, you know, everyone knows that story. My real question is, are we going to get one of those weird scenes where Sue goes all naked and are all invisible and she'll be naked when she's not visible. Yes. I was doing the visible spectrum. I don't think they will just because if they're already established heroes and they already have their costumes,
[00:23:27] I don't think they're going to go that route just because her costume does go invisible with her. Yeah. Yeah. No, I mean, I think that too. That's why I'm saying like, cause it feels like in every other fricking fantastic four movie, there was some sort of embarrassing scene where the actress, I use the term loosely was made to get naked for no reason other than being comedic. And you know what? Comedy is more than a buxom woman being naked.
[00:23:55] I realized that that's a hot take here, but well, it is certainly hot. Oh, um, excuse me. Uh, you're around. I say go to your room, but you're already there. I'm already there. I don't, I don't disagree with you, Jen. Uh, just because it is kind of one of those misogynistic tropes that gets used to get thrown in movies just because she has invisible powers. So let's make her naked and things like that.
[00:24:19] Not to say that I don't enjoy things like that because I'm a guy and I, I, and I'm a heterosexual male, but I mean, at the same time, um, I mean, I do feel like it is, I do feel like it's played and it's not something that we need. Um, it, you know, it's not funny when you do it the third time, you know, like do something else or the four through the fifth. Yeah. Yeah. No, I, I agree with that, but I was going to say in the one that I liked with Ian, Ian Griffith, was that the one with Chris Evans?
[00:24:48] Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's, that's the first one. Okay. They let us see a lot of Chris Evans. Yeah. So yeah. I mean, because of that, I was okay with the clearly sexist thing that they did to Jessica Beal. No, Jessica. Why can't I remember? Jessica Alba. Jessica Alba. Yeah. Yeah. I was close. I was only one letter off. Jessica Beal is another hot chick, just different hot chick. Okay. Anyway. Anyway. And then also their uniforms.
[00:25:18] Can we talk about those? They are so cute. They're comic book accurate. They look exactly. Very, very cool. Yeah. And that Tiffany blue. And that turtleneck. Yep. Let's give Sue storm a turtleneck now. Woo. Uh, so my planet size tacos are on the table being consumed by Galactus. Good. Nice. Oh, also, yes. At the end of that trailer, when you see Galactus's head, uh, my, my mind exploded. Yeah. I, I know.
[00:25:45] It's like, ah, he's one of my favorite villains. Just, just they're going, they're going with the, with the obvious, like wacky, uh, Kirby version of Galactus and I'm all for it. Yeah. But you still keep that kind of eldest horror though too. Right. Right. I want to hear, I just want him to go. Hello. Hello. Okay. I'm wondering if you're out. Hello. Like Mrs. Doubtfire. Yeah. Hello. Yeah. All right.
[00:26:16] Anybody else have tacos to put on the table? No, my, I ate my, I ate my four tacos and they were fantastic. I'm pretty sure you all know that my tacos are on the table. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Now my tacos are on the table as well. All right. Uh, so that is it for rumors, ladies and gentlemen. Uh, let's move on. Let's get into this download. Uh, because we have all of the news to go over right now. Let's do this. Yeah. Well, it's not that much, but we haven't, we have enough. So let's, let's jump into this.
[00:26:48] Hello. Are we back? We're back. Back again. Downloads back. And we're, we're casting corral. I guess, uh, I'll, I'll, I'll take James's line for more news. Trailer's reactions. Check out the distance, certain, and post. Let us know what you're nerding out on. So while we jump right into the beginning of this. That's later. That's in news. Boosh. Okay. That's what I was trying to introduce. You're getting ahead of Phil. Damn it. Ladies and gentlemen, uh, let's get into all the casting news and rumors and everything.
[00:27:17] Let's get into casting corral with our favorite fray. Jen, let's do it. Woo. Hello. Hello. Hey, so I do have to say Jeff from the long family cosplay. Um, yeah, no, I agree with you. They did do the invisible trope. Absolutely. A hundred percent. I'm only invisible when nobody can see me. He was like, I, yeah, it's like drag thing. He's invisible. If he doesn't move. He's only invisible to Tyrannosaurus Rex. There you go. All right.
[00:27:46] So, uh, we have, this is a casting corral and we have casting from Harry to He-Man. Uh, but first Potter news, not potty news. Get your mind out of the gutter. Can't literally the gutter. So the first one is a rumor. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, uh, has been offered the role of Petunia Dursley. So you might have know her from Fleabag. She was also in the Indiana Jones movie, the most recent one.
[00:28:17] Um, she's, I think she's very like Petunia accurate to what the book says. But anyway, uh, and, uh, is it Killian or so it's killing. Killian Murphy is being eyed to play professor Quirinus Quirrell, the first defense against the dark art teacher in Harry Potter. And of course Frey is the professor of the smart cards. Yes. I am the professor of the smart cards. So do we think this casting is wizard? I absolutely do.
[00:28:46] I think that's, uh, I think it's, I think it's perfect. Yeah. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is, is picture perfect for Petunia Dursley. I mean, she's a national treasure. So, uh, national Trevor treasure of the UK. Uh, and Killian Murphy. I mean, that guy can play anything. I think he can play quirky and eccentric the way that, um, that professor Quirrell should be. Oh yeah. He could definitely do that. And he can also do it a little bit more like, you know how he did a scarecrow. Yeah.
[00:29:16] I think that I think that Killian Murphy might be good too, but not the scarecrow from the first one, the scarecrow when he was the judge. Cause he was really whacked out anyway. James. I don't remember who, um, professor Quirrell is. He is the one with the turban. Right. He's the one that had Voldemort stuck to the back of his head. Uh, okay. Okay. And the philosopher stone, Harry Potter and the philosopher. So I bet that was creepy back in the day. Yeah. It was creepy now.
[00:29:46] Yeah. All right, cool. I do like Phoebe Waller-Bridge though. Yeah. She's, she's cool. I think she could really do a lot of good stuff. All right. Castle Grayskull is getting a companion. Ooh. That's right. Marina Baccarin is set to take on the role of the sorceress. Ooh. And Johan Takur Johannesson, Captain America Brave New World has been cast as Fisto.
[00:30:12] Uh, they're both in the live action masters of the universe movie. So I have a question who had a crush on the sorceress right here, right? Had or has even more of a, uh, uh, I have even more of a crush on the sorceress after, uh, uh, after Kevin or not after Kevin Smith's, uh, series. Oh yeah. Right. Uh, cause when you, when we got ultimate sorceress and she's just got like, you know, she's got
[00:30:38] the bird wings and she's just like super, super like just dope. She's such a bad-ass. Uh, and then you give that to Marina Baccarin. I'm all for it. Yeah. She's, she's so hot. I think it'll, no, we lost her audio again. Oh, Jen, no audio. I think you need to change that headset. Yeah. This is the second headset. I've also restarted my camera and everything. Yeah. You're back. Would it, okay.
[00:31:04] Would it be possible to just use the audio from the iPad itself? No, no. Well, I can't hear you guys as well. Oh, well I'm saying like, could you like still have your earbuds connected, but then use the microphone from the iPad? Is that not? No, no. It says that Marina Baccarin, she, she was in Deadpool, right? Yes. Yes. And Gotham. What? She was something else. I can't remember like her other roles, but those are the two I remember. You mean she was a companion in Firefly?
[00:31:34] Is that what, that's what it is. Yeah. Thank you. I'm like, there was another like bigger franchise that she was in. Okay. All right. That's why I said Castle Grayskull's getting a companion. Yeah. There you go. Also, this is just for Eric in the chat. Meh. Meh. You boob. I'll get you here, man. You boobs. All right. All right. Also, the movie is not going to work for me if Jared Leto doesn't say you boob at least
[00:32:04] one time. Wow. Okay. So, Spaceballs, but Grande. Oh. Ariana Grande has been offered a role in the Spaceballs sequel according to the Hollywood Reporter's profile on Grande. Will she accept the role and who would she play? All right, Ariana. She'd be the princess's daughter. Oh, it's a sequel. Right. Yeah. Okay. Like her and what's his name? Lone Star.
[00:32:33] Lone Star. Yeah. Lone Star. Yeah. Princess Star. That would be cool because if you had the princess and Lone Star's daughter and Lone Star, I mean like say one of them is gone or whatever, but like Ariana Grande like takes after her father rather than being the princess like her mom. Right. And she's like the adventurer. She's like the main character. So she's going to be an F? No. No, I'm saying she's the hero character.
[00:33:01] Yeah, but the princess was the real hero in that. In Spaceballs? Yeah. She was the one that took care of herself. True. And she saved both of them several times. I mean, I'm just saying. No, no, no. You're not wrong. You're not wrong. Anyway. This is why we do these so we can have these conversations. Right. Okay. Not to be outdone. The MCU is bringing in the drama mutant and Android style. Yeah. So the first one is a rumor.
[00:33:29] According to industry insider, Jeff Schneider, Marvel is eyeing several rising stars for key roles. Among them, Harris Dickinson as Scott Summer slash Cyclops. He was in Iron Claw and Baby Girl. I think he was the youngest brother in Iron Claw. All right. I can very much see it. He is sufficiently hot. Right. Cool. Yeah. And then Sadie Sink was in Stranger Things and the Whale as Jean Grey. Who did she play in Stranger Things? She is.
[00:33:59] I'm trying to remember her because I'm picturing the character in my head right now. She's. Is she the one that floated? Yes. She's the one that in the last season that they were trying to prevent from like being killed by. What's his face? That back. Yeah. Okay. I can't believe that's the thing I remember from all of this. Yeah. I was trying to, I was like, cause I'm forgetting the, uh, the characters. Thanks Max. Max. That's who it is. Yes. All right. Great. All right.
[00:34:27] Julia Butters, which really makes me think of South Park. Once upon a time in Hollywood and the gray man, she was in that as Kitty Pryde slash Shadowcat. Okay. So I have to say this. I would really prefer Julia Butters to be replaced by, um, Miss Fallout. Oh, you know what? That is a good pick right there too, though. The girl who, uh, was from Fallout. Uh, Pernell. Uh, Elia Pernell. Ella Pernell. Yeah. She would be a good, uh, uh, Kitty Pryde.
[00:34:56] That would be pretty good. I could see that. Yeah. I put her on my Instagram. Very much. They definitely seem to be skewing a lot younger. So. Yeah. It sounds, it definitely sounds like if these are correct, then we're going with like very first class and all of that. Yeah. Except also, I guess also Kitty Pryde's there, but you know, whatever. Oh, I love that Sacramento Deadpool that the princess will be dead and Bill Pullman will be like a helicopter parent. So a lot like his role in Independence Day. Yeah. Okay. Okay.
[00:35:26] So, uh, the next one is Rory Malika. I looked it up. I looked it up. That's how you say it from the franchise, uh, has signed on to a starring role in Marvel's upcoming series vision. Malika will play a character named Tucker. Could Tucker really be Tommy? Ooh. Okay. I mean, cause like, so with Wiccan, it was William William and he had different last name.
[00:35:56] So Tucker starts with the T Tommy. So that's, that's why I was thinking that. And also he does, he, he does kind of like, he has that look like he could be Tommy. I don't know what Tommy looks like, but that he has that look anyway. So, so that's it for casting though. So do you guys, do any of you know who Rory Malika is? I don't. Uh, I looked, I looked at him when I saw the, uh, no, but I can see it article, but yeah, I see it.
[00:36:25] I don't, I just don't know who he's going to play, but I don't know if we should jump to Tommy. So, I mean, if we had tacos, mine would not be on the table for this one. I could see it. I could see it. I just, I mean, if they're doing where he goes all vision and has his own like robot family or Android family, I don't know. But I, you know, I think it's the next thing. They definitely have this leading up to Tommy, but are they waiting to do like a Wiccan spinoff
[00:36:55] so they can do have Wiccan and Tommy get together? I think that's the, that's really the key. I'm looking at this picture of him and he fits the profile for speed, like really, really tough. Yeah. Yeah. He looks like speed. Yeah. So I, I mean, that's what the only thing is. I was like, maybe he is, I guess. I mean, we'll see. And I'm sure more will come out. So that's it. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, that's, that's it for casting. So thanks for stopping by the corral and don't forget to visit the gift shop on your way
[00:37:24] out because we've got merch people. We got merch people. Too early. Too early. Too early. We're still going. Too early. Too early. Okay. Never too early for merch. Yeah. No. We have shirts, two styles, a black one and a gray one. The gray one has actual Funko pop looking characters. We really are going fully into merch. All right. Forget it. Let's go. We got merch people.
[00:37:56] No hat. All right. Let's move on guys. Let's jump into, let's jump into these headlines, which is all me. We're reunions. What? I say, we're definitely starting a story that, that, that this next host does not want, that doesn't want anything to do. We reunions never say die. More of the cast of the Goonies reunited this week support their co-star, Kihu Kwan, whose career has made an incredible return.
[00:38:24] He's celebrating the red carpet premiere of his action comedy, Love Hurts. And he was immortalized at his hand at footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Kwan was joined by Corey Feldman, Josh Roland, Kerry Green, Jeff Cohn, and director Chris Columbus. Love Hurts is currently hitting theaters now. I almost won't watch it this weekend. Yeah. Well, I am, whatever. I like Kyo Kwan. So I'm not. You just don't like the Goonies. I just don't like, I just do not care for the Goonies.
[00:38:53] I think now that, that you have seen him in other things and you've seen like some of them in other stuff, you should go back and watch it again. I probably will. And we'll call it the Goobers instead of the Goonies. All right. Let's, let's move on here. All right. So. Hi. Hi. I just want to do it. Yeah. I thought I was. Okay. I gotcha. Oh, I mean, hi. Oh, at Disney's latest live action, Snow White.
[00:39:21] It's almost here, but the numbers aren't looking too promising. Early projections put the film's opening weekend at around $63 million to $70 million, with some sources leaning closer to $65 million. Snow White comes with a massive price tag. According to Forbes, the film's budget rocketed to $269.4 million by the end of 2023, though recent reports suggest it sits more around $250 million, but that does not include marketing costs. Wow.
[00:39:48] Also, I'd just like to say, at least in this picture, the dwarves are horrifying. Like, that's horrifying. They look horrifying. Because they're short? No! No, that's not why. No! Look at their faces! Look at, look. It's horrifying. Little people are lying to have faces, too. No, no, no. They all look like Farquaad. They do! It's, it is fucking scary, man. Anyway, Snow White is set to be released in theaters on March 21st, 2025.
[00:40:13] Will Snow White find its ticket sales prints or take a bite of that box office clothing? Well, I have a couple of things. I know why it comes with a massive price tag. It's because she's a frickin' princess. And then second of all, James, you really think that that's who I am? Look at her. I would never wear... You're not wearing that yellow skirt right now? I would never wear... Well, you know what? Actually, animals love me. So, maybe it is that. And you sting? You're singing to these animals?
[00:40:42] They're talking to you all the time? You know where you relate, Janice? You know what? I do sing to the dogs, and... I was about to say, you do love quirkies, which are just dwarf dogs. There you go. Oh, my God! I know. God dammit! Why do we have to do this to me? Jen, also, I know, like, you know, you want to lean into the, you know, you want to be a hated person. Remember, the internet completely hates her. So, there you go. That's where you can relate. Yeah.
[00:41:13] There you go. Okay. All right. Side note. Snow White has the same colors as Wonder Woman. All right? Yeah, there you go. So, let's just all relax. Okay. Well, yeah, but not in the same proportions. All right. Well, hey. Everybody's a little different. Nobody likes a yellow, a yellow skirt. There's seven dwarfs on the screen. There's nothing proportionate about this movie at all. That's true. All right. Fine. Anyway. It was the first princess movie I watched. All right. Well, let's move on to the next one. I do also like Apple.
[00:41:47] Excuse me. You left him speechless. I did. I was taking, taking fruit. All right. Did we just become best friends? Yeah. Amazon MGM Studios is moving forward with another Wilfair comedy alongside, after release of the film, what the hell does that say? Is it, is it yush? Whoa, what is that? It's a Y and a... A schwach? How about you just figure it out? No, it's not a schwach. I think it's yush. Because that's, I pronounce it phonetically, so it's yush. Oh, you know what?
[00:42:15] That's why you're doing this, because you have all that con language. And Zac Efron is setting a star alongside him. The new movie follows a young convict, Zac Efron, fresh out of prison, takes a reality TV courtroom hostage, blaming the megalomaniac TV judge, Will Ferrell, for a past ruling the convict spiels ruined his life. No title or date has been released. I don't know. I still don't know how I'm supposed to pronounce that, but I'm going to go with yush. Um, so it's jury duty, the movie? Yeah, sounds like it. Maybe the movie is called jury duty.
[00:42:44] I like Zac Efron. He has some good comedic timing. He does. Like all... I'm super impressed with, you know, cause he's like heartthrob, you know, singer guy. But I'm so surprised at how good he is at comedy. I love it. I love it. The guys that make it past the heartthrob stage are the ones that really dial in to either comedy or drama and do it really well. I mean, he's just Kim. So... Ricky Stenicki?
[00:43:14] Yes! So good, dude. That was so good. I watched that with Jackie. It was so funny. Like, but... I will be watching it. We both... It is a Cena thing. Well, we both didn't expect it to be that funny and John Cena killed it, dude, because his character is... He's a scene stealer and it's great. Yeah. Super over the top. Yeah. No, right. It sounds fun. All right. Are we gonna move on? Here's some news that's gonna piss off Graveyard. The pizza balls are getting cold.
[00:43:44] Peacock has canceled its horror thriller series Hysteria! After only one eight episode season. The series did have a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, however. Hmm. That sucks, but it is what it is. Like, why cancel a Bruce Campbell-led series that has a 91 rating on Rotten Tomatoes? I don't know. I don't know what their goal is here, but... Here's a question. Did you guys watch this show? No? I think the real question is, did I know about this? Yeah.
[00:44:14] I don't feel like they advertised this. Exactly. But that's not our fault. That's Peacock's fault because Peacock didn't advertise it. Don't blame Peacock. You know why? I blame a lot on Peacock. Because of all the blooming. Their WWE experience is the worst. Mm-hmm. You got it. I think Peacock definitely needs some help. Their marketing, actually now that I'm thinking about it, is really bad. So this probably, even though it was a 91% rated show, it just doesn't sound like you have the viewership.
[00:44:43] Well, the problem is, all of these streaming services are based on an old school model of network. Yeah. And none of them have adjusted to there being more streaming available. So that means that it does become must-see TV. So they have to go back to that.
[00:45:07] Why would we watch Hysteria over the 12 other things that I have on my list of streaming things that I need to go through? Mm-hmm. Right, exactly. So, I'm just saying like, you know, maybe ratings should be different now. Yeah. I agree. Absolutely. I agree with that. Well, we have some better news. It is not the end for Clone Force 99. Yay! Woo! Woo!
[00:45:32] The Bad Batch will be returning for a new adventure, an upcoming novel titled Star Wars Sanctuary, a Bad Batch novel. The story is set during the events of Season 2 of the Disney Plus series. It centers on Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Omega as they work with treasure hunter Fee Genoa on a plan to help rebuild their island refuge after the devastating tsunami seen in the episode Pabu. Star Wars Sanctuary arrives August 5th, 2025 from Random House Worlds. All I gotta say about that is yeet. That's awesome.
[00:46:01] That's awesome. I'm so excited about that because they made it an adventure where Tech's in it. Yeah. Because Tech wasn't in it for the whole last season. And spoiler, if you guys haven't watched it. Yeah. And then if you haven't watched it, what the actual act? Yeah. Why are you watching this show? Go and watch Bad Batch right now. No, watch this show and then after this show is- No, no, no, no. Stop watching this. Stop watching this. Stop watching this. No. Do not encourage people not to watch our show. We'll send you a subscription.
[00:46:31] You cannot come back here until you've watched all of that. No, no, no. That is gatekeeping. We're not doing that. No, we're not. I'm kidding. You know, I was really surprised Bad Batch worked, you know, for being in a little pocket of the Star Wars universe with like no specific ties to the rest of the franchise, you know? I'm really surprised it worked. I loved it. I had a- It was great.
[00:46:58] I mean, it had specific ties to Clone Wars though and a lot of people loved Clone Wars, including me obviously. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean that gets it a season. That doesn't get it two or three seasons. Right. And- So they managed to hook people on that. Yeah. But it was a good show. A good show about- Basically they were pirates and- But they were also- It was also found family. I mean, it had a lot of stuff in there. Yeah. I feel like it's the precursor to the skeleton crew.
[00:47:27] In a way. Yeah. A little bit of an adventure. Yeah. Ragtag group sort of thing. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I hope we find a way to get Omega back somehow. Like, I mean, this is a Filoni piece. Like, I wonder, I wonder, with Filoni going for a movie? Come on. Maybe he squeezes in Omega somehow. Maybe he squeezes in Captain Rex. Yeah. I would like that. I would like that a lot. I would like that. That'd be very cool.
[00:47:57] I would like that a lot. All right. And that is it for the news bush. Bushy, Bushy, Bushy, news, news, Bushy, Bushy. Look at us. Who are we? Just cranking through stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let's move on to this next story here, because we're jumping into the regular download. Ooh. This is big news. That rooster still has some teeth left. I'm going to read this one so you can react to it. Yeah, absolutely.
[00:48:23] Nine months ago, Rooster Teeth announced it was shutting down after 21 years of pioneering online entertainment. End of an era. Or so we thought. Rooster Teeth is back in the hands of the original creator. This is kind of cool. Bernie Burns, who has officially acquired Rooster Teeth and much of its remaining assets through his independent company, Box Canyon Productions. It's a nice little full circle thing.
[00:48:50] So Burns, who co-founded Rooster Teeth in 2003, built the company from the ground up with the breakout success of Red vs. Blue, the longest running web series in history. What started as a small group of friends making Machinima content quickly evolved into a media powerhouse producing fan favorite shows like Ruby, Achievement Hunter and RTX Convention series. But over the years, the company changed hands. Who was it at? Oh, Warner Brothers had it.
[00:49:21] Mm hmm. Warner Brothers had it. They were dissolving it. Yeah. They were dissolving it. Yeah. Now Burns is stepping up to restore to its original creative spark. This is pretty cool. As part of the new chapter box, Canyon Productions has already announced a slate of projects for 2025. This includes revivals of classic Rooster Teeth shows, a brand new original audio adventure called Again, and a reimagining of Burns' first film, The Schedule.
[00:49:50] Nice. Ooh. This is good news. All right. There was waves of upset fans all over the internet when Rooster Teeth announced that they were closing their doors. And it's nice to hear that they're coming back. They're bringing back all their old shows. I mean, you know, they worked on a whole bunch of shows that had a lot of great success too. They were the ones behind the Transformers show on Netflix. Hmm. Aren't they based in Texas? In Texas.
[00:50:19] They're part of that, like, Dallas is like the Mecca of, you know, the movie. They're part of the anime block. Yeah. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Yeah. Very cool. So it's good to hear that they're coming back. It's, it's, it's, it's, you, you usually don't hear this kind of story where like the original creator who sold the property to Warner Brothers is like, oh, well I have a opportunity to buy it back. And that's what he did. And he's bringing it back.
[00:50:45] And as it should be, because again, these were a lot of properties that people were upset to see go. Yeah. And we're going to probably be sold off for their assets to other organizations. And people weren't going to be, you know, people, people, people weren't going to be happy to see like, okay. Yeah. Ruby's coming back, but it's an entirely different creative team, you know? So it's like, you know, or achievement, right? You know, things like that. So I'm, I'm, I'm, this is good news. I'm happy to hear that they're, they're sticking around. Yeah. This is great. I have no, I have, I have no comment.
[00:51:15] Oh, look. Say Wong chimes in. I'm sorry. Say Wong's here. He's not at the Kansas city chiefs Superbowl victory parade. Oh, interesting. He's been here the whole time. Good to see you say Wong. Yeah. He's been here for the whole, okay. I mean, at least, at least we're moving on. At least Kansas city's town isn't on fire. Is this still on fire?
[00:51:43] Or was that just after team is on fire? I'll tell you that much. You saw the trailer. Did you see the live stream? Did you catch the secret code? Oh my gosh. Marvel's back up to their hijinks. I like, I like the whole, uh, uh, let's do secrety, secrety things in the trailers and stuff. So it turns out for fantastic four, there was a mysterious beeping hidden within the mic. Uh, how do you say his last name?
[00:52:08] Uh, Giacchino Giacchino's musical score for the, uh, trailer for fantastic four. So Marvel tucked in a secret message. And because the internet, a fan has already cracked the code. Reddit user, uh, what, no way impossible did the work and discovered that the beeping is actually Morris code. All right. Do we have a second source on this? Yes. It's D T T T T T T T T.
[00:52:36] And then you translate that. You're welcome. Jesus James. It translates to radiation or at least most of it. Snow White. Really? Snow White. Out of all of them. You came around on it. You came around on it. I just feel like I'm so much more than Snow White. Okay. Nevermind. Let's just keep on it. Uh, I've got, I don't know why you're hanging on so many dwarves. You know what I mean? I thought this was a safe space. I thought we didn't kink shame here. But I guess not.
[00:53:06] I guess not. I am not a dwarf. I am just short. Okay. I prefer Hobbit by the way. There you go. So there's your kink. The Fantastic Four first steps will take the first steps towards a new era of the MCU on July 25th, 2025. You know what I want? I want the cookbook. Yes. Whatever cookbook they're using that you see, you see the thing tasting that sauce. Yeah.
[00:53:35] Well, here's, here's the funny thing is it says to serve man on it. So, you know, there you go. Can we, can we, can we, can we dive into the Fantastic Four real quick? Maybe he's how, how to. Uh, what do you want to dive into? So I like, I like the Fantastic Four. I like the trailer. I like, uh, the cast. Um, I don't know if I like his voice with the thing. What? I don't know. It just, it just didn't feel right.
[00:54:02] Well, you don't think Evan's, Evan's voice is gravelly enough? Evan Moss back rack from, from, um, of the bear. The bear. Yeah. I just, I was talking. I'm just like, it just felt too smooth to me. I wanted, I felt, I thought it was going to be like gravelly and like a little bit more angry or a little bit. He's saying his voice was too sexy. It was too sexy, too sexy, too sexy. Hey, I think it's about time. We got a sexy thing. We need a sexy rock. Oh God. Here he goes.
[00:54:31] Here he goes. James said, we need a sexy rock. You know what that means? He's trying to go into Dwayne Johnson. If you smell. La la la. Oh, rocks can be sexy too. That's it. You know what? I just want to see what you have to say. Anyway. Of pebbles and things can be sexy. Speaking of rocks, you saw the trailer. Did you catch, did you see the live stream? No, come on guys. Captain America Brave New World is adding another important piece to the X-Men puzzle.
[00:55:01] Right? You're. I've already said it, James. I've already said it. You can't change it now. Captain America Brave New World is adding another. It's adding another important piece to the X-Men puzzle. Marvel producer Nate Moore recently shed light on how the upcoming film's Adamantium storyline helps lay the groundwork for Marvel's mutants. Signaling a build towards their eventual arrival.
[00:55:25] I can't believe that they're taking that sentient being that got transferred into Marvel or Adamantium or whatever and they're stripping it for parts. Well, speaking with comicbook.com, Moore addressed whether Adamantium's inclusion was about thematically enriching Brave New World or teasing future stories. He said, it's more about global power struggles. I think that's the story of this movie. One of the things we were very mindful of as we start to head towards a world that is the X-Men is sort of seeding the groundwork.
[00:55:54] So it doesn't feel like you're going to drink out of the fire hose. A lot of different concepts. We want to start out sort of planting seeds. So as we're building towards the idea, it feels like an organic story. It's been happening rather than something that we just drop in the middle of the ongoing saga right now. And America Brave New World flies on your left into theaters on February 14th of 2025. And I can't wait to go see it. Yeah, we're going to see it on the 14th. I'm very excited for this movie.
[00:56:22] Just because I mean there's so many different things that you're going to get reintroduced into this. And yeah, I mean, I love the idea of finally addressing the fact that this giant baby's been stuck on this planet. Yeah, that Tiamat's been there the whole time. Yeah, you know, or, you know, your explanation into adamantium and everything like that. I mean, it's going to be good. Yeah. I'm really excited about it. I can't wait. I'm like loving that we're getting Red Hulk on Valentine's Day. Yeah.
[00:56:50] And they're finally freaking talking about Tiamat. Yeah. You know, honestly, I missed the whole like this is going to be a fight for adamantium. I didn't even know that was happening when they announced that they announced that a while back. We talked about it on the show. Yeah, I remember that rumor for a while. And then I think the confirmation was one of the trailers said something about it like that first trailer said something about Adamantium like in a split second.
[00:57:18] And then went on to something else like blink if blinking, you'll miss it. And they. Yeah. Okay, James, you have to go back and rewatch the trailer. Yeah. I mean, I saw it when but I don't remember when they they announced it. Right. Yeah, I'm interested. I dig this. Absolutely. Anybody else have any comments on this before we move on to the last story? No, I'm good. Let's do it. All right. Who's going to be my Valentine's date to go see this? No one. Not me. Thanks. Thanks, everybody.
[00:57:48] Glad we can support you. I'm going with Husby and Liam and Shadu and yeah. Oh, look at that. You got like four people. That's like a fantastic four. That's great. And two of them were the same person. Also the professor. Could have added one more, but that's fine. But not what you think. No. James, you have four different Valentine's dates. One of which will actually, like I said, you have four different Valentine's dates, one of which may actually go see the movie with you. That's true. That's true. But it's not who you think. Yeah.
[00:58:19] The one is his son, not his daughters or his wife. I don't think Jen would be into watching the movie anyways. Oh, wait. That is who I thought. So maybe I'll just roll that back. No, she'd be the one that's most into seeing this. Would she? Yeah. Harrison Ford. Yeah. She'd be into watching this. She likes Marvel movies, but you know, the kids, kids, they don't care. I think they would care if a red rage monster started pairing stuff up.
[00:58:47] They're like, that guy's red, not blue. I'm out of here. He's like, that's not a blue dog. Dad, you told me it was going to be a blue dog. I mean, Beast is in it. He's kind of a dog and he's blue. Is Beast in it? No, I'm just making that up. All right. Now you're teasing. Now you're teasing. I know, right? Let's move into this last story right here. Put your special sock away, nerds. This is going to get ugly. Ah, fake laugh. Hiding real pain. All right.
[00:59:14] Rob Liefeld, co-creator of Deadpool, has officially severed ties with Marvel and he's not holding back about why. Whew. It's dirty. In a recent episode of his Rob Servations podcast, Liefeld shared that his experience with Marvel Studios, particularly under Kevin Feige's leadership, left him feeling disrespected and sidelined. Liefeld describes the breaking point as a series of dismissals that culminated at the Deadpool and Wolverine premiere where he and his family were not invited to the after party.
[00:59:43] Liefeld's issues with Marvel began in early 2023 when the company made the controversial decision to change the credits on Wolverine, awarding co-creator status to editor Ray Thomas. The character was created decades before Liefeld worked in comics, but he is close to Christine Vallada, the widow of the late Wolverine co-creator Len Wein, who was upset with the decision. In June. Yeah, I know.
[01:00:08] In June 2024, Liefeld sent an email to Marvel asking for special credit on Deadpool and Wolverine. He didn't request any money, just acknowledgement and access to the events. In that email, he expressed his frustration with how Marvel treats creators. Marvel's treatment of creators has never been their strength without the worlds, the characters and the concepts that we create. And in this specific case, the world of Deadpool, there are no films to shoot, no blockbusters to distribute.
[01:00:36] I am not the easy button at Staples. I am the human imagination behind it all. Comic book creators cannot continue to be relegated as an afterthought. This is easy to address unless I reach out to address it. It will never manifest. Let's. So I'll let you read the next line and then we'll pause for a quick second. Talk about it. Yeah. Liefeld never received a response. So, yeah, guys, give me your thoughts so far. What the hell, man?
[01:01:03] I feel really this is like one of those like marriage breakups, you know, like mommy and daddy are fighting kind of thing. Oh, this it feels so like dirty. But that being said, I could see this happening, you know, like I could see Rob feeling like, hey, this is these are our creations. Yeah, we saw it happen all with, you know, DC back in the day as well. But, you know, fast forward to the two thousands.
[01:01:30] Now the same sort of thing is happening where like, hey, these Kevin Feige and Disney and Marvel and these big time movies, they're kind of weirdly taking credit for the creation of these characters. But I guess they're just I don't know. I mean, they're I guess they're reinventions of the characters. But right. Yeah, I feel right. Yeah, I don't know what the counter argument is here. You know, I mean, this is just it is just disrespectful. It really is. Yeah. And it gets worse.
[01:01:59] Just just yeah, go fast. Go ahead. Well, let me let me go. I've I've known some people that are not huge fan of Rob's and heard the stories about stuff that he did prior to Deadpool. So and how he acted and treated others during that time. Yeah.
[01:02:19] So although I think that he absolutely has a great point and I do want to see the correct creators get credit for creations. And he's always rubbed me the wrong way. So I take everything he says with a huge pinch of salt. Yeah. Or salsa because of Deadpool. Right.
[01:02:45] I mean, I've also heard a lot of bad things about Rob. Now, my personal experience, you know, times that we've met him, he's been cool. But I mean, like, you know, that is also at cons and very surface level to begin with. You know, we're not on the industry inside when it comes to comics and obviously Marvel and everything like that. So, you know, we can't speak for any of that. You know, prior to meeting Rob, I had heard nothing but bad things about Rob.
[01:03:13] And I just didn't feel that when I met him. But again, that's that's more, you know, that that's public persona, you know, so that's much more service level kind of obligated to be well. And it could have been that he was young and cocky. Yeah. And thought he was hot shit. And that's probably most of it. Yeah, it's still I like, yes, I do. I do take him with a grain of salt. I know we're not done here, but I do take him with a grain of salt. But at the same time, this is pointing out a larger systemic issue. This is not just about him. Yeah.
[01:03:44] So then you sketchy guy saying you are not on the industry inside yet. Yet. Oh, yeah, exactly. We do. Yeah, it's going to happen eventually. All right. So continuing on, because like I said, it gets worse. Like, at least Rob's experience gets a lot worse. So fast forward to the Deadpool and Wolverine premiere where things took a more personal turn.
[01:04:06] He says he also felt snubbed by Disney's brass, including Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, whom he said he was near on the red carpet, but did not acknowledge him. And there was another apparent slight. Liefeld said he posed for professional photos with creatives on the Deadpool and Wolverine team, but later was told by his publicist that those photos were deleted. And on Rob observations, he put it bluntly. Kevin Feige does not treat comic book creators. Well, that is my personal experience.
[01:04:32] So Liefeld's last Marvel Comics project, the Deadpool team up number five drops on February 12th, marking the end of his work with the company. Wow. Well, regardless, regardless of who he is and what he's done, I still feel terrible for him. Yeah. I mean, it's still a shitty thing to do with somebody. Yeah, it sucks either way, you know, like, like, like, regardless of whether it was intentional or not.
[01:04:57] It's it's you, you, you really are almost alienating the guy who, who was the co creator of Deadpool. And you guys are sitting there. I mean, I think that's where Disney is, is reaping all the benefits for, you know, this massively successive, successful franchise and and not acknowledging the dude who created that franchise for you guys to make all that money off of. Right. Exactly.
[01:05:24] You know, you know, I, I feel like there's too many. It's probably a little bit of his personality rubs people the wrong way. Yeah. Maybe he was a little brash with certain people and maybe he feels overlooked. So everything feels a little bit more magnetized or magnified, I should say. Like, I know one of his issues was like he didn't get invited to the premiere after party, which he was at. You know, he was at the premiere. And here we go. After party. Oh, sorry.
[01:05:54] You're not invited. Like, OK, it feels a little weird. It does not be invited to. That does feel personal. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Oh, yeah, absolutely. I but I mean, maybe they only let they only like credit people that can actually draw feet. Yeah, they're like, hey, you got to walk here, but you got to draw those feet first, you know? And really, I mean, Rob Liefeld has great taste in fashion here. And we got merch people.
[01:06:22] OK, that was a little abrupt, but we'll take it. Yes, we got merch people. I was trying to weave her right there. I see. I see what you did there. Yeah. Yeah. Again, you're not wrong. It was just a little abrupt, but we'll go with that. Well, hold on. Hold on. Young Phil, do you have anything you want to say? Because I think, you know, you've met Rob. You've been on stage with Rob. I know you're a big Deadpool fan and you've been a big Liefeld fan for a long time. So what do you how do you feel about all of it?
[01:06:51] Again, I'm I'm generally a Liefeld fan. A lot of my favorite characters. It was one of those things where, you know, growing up, these like these are my favorite characters. And then you you know, when you when you're old enough to like look at, you know, the people behind it, you know, I start to realize that most of my favorite characters were created or influenced in some way by Rob Liefeld. So, I mean, like, you know, Liefeld had a lot of influence on on my taste in my comic book characters and everything like that. Yeah.
[01:07:21] You're talking to fan. I actually do like Hawken Dove. Good. I do. And and again, so with Liefeld and again, I like his image stuff, too. I like all the things that he did outside of Marvel. I like the things that he did with Dark Horse. You know, he wild wild cats. Wild cats is so dope. It's such a such a good book. So, I mean, like life. It's so funny because I like Gen 13 better, but I did like 13 is also good, too, though.
[01:07:48] But yeah, so so the thing with with Liefeld again. And was it bad rock? Sorry. Yeah. You know, the thing with Liefeld is, again, you know, I heard a lot about, you know, him rubbing people long with the wrong way. And just, you know, a lot of people not like not liking being around him. And I don't know if that had anything to do with it. You know, his old personality or anything like that, like him when he was younger. Again, my personal experience is he's awesome.
[01:08:17] You know, like the the the personal experience I've had with him has always been great. He's always been like super gracious and cool when we see a person. I remember when when we were at L.A. Comic Con and he was signing and you were on stage. But Fresno Deadpool and Lady Deadpool Fresno, they were getting a bunch of stuff signed. And I was just off to the side kind of filming, just kind of like helping them out, making sure that, you know, they got memories of the experience, you know, kind of filming it. But I remember Rob being super nice.
[01:08:47] Yeah. Yeah. And he was like, oh, where's your books? You know, she busted out all these books like, oh, let me sign him. He was like changing pens. Like, hey, let me use this. He's like, come here, come back here. Let's let's take a picture together. Like, I remember him being super nice. Yeah. Yeah. And there was a long line of people. Yeah. I think that that is something that I do think he is really great with the fans.
[01:09:09] It's just what I'd heard was from industry insiders and it was when he first came on the scene and he was the hotshot thing. And, you know, so that comes with some braggadocia. And so, you know, it's I can understand it. But when Phil first told me his experience, I was like, well, that's great, because if you're going to be nice to someone, be nice to your fans. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
[01:09:38] You know, again, he he gave me so many compliments on my costume. And he was just like, this is like the most amazing thing I've ever seen, you know, and it just made me feel so much better and more so much more comfortable in that costume. You know, because, you know, I created it kind of like as a jokey thing. And now it's like it's kind of taken on its own phenomenon. Right. Like, you know. Well, it's your second personality. It kind of is.
[01:10:01] And, you know, and if you want if you want to make a costume, you can make it out of our merch because we got merch people. That's right. All right. So going back. Better transition. Well, now that we're talking about Rob Liefeld and I want to say, God's damn it. And maybe maybe you can get Rob Liefeld to sign it. But yeah, we got merch people. We got two different shirts. We don't have the hat. You got to take a new picture.
[01:10:31] Yeah. You've got you've got to trade Ming Chen a bottle of Malort and you can get the hat back. There you go. Of course, the hat may be soaked in Malort though. Just just, you know, be careful. Oh, we'll charge extra for that. Yeah, it's really pisses me off to no end. Terrible. We have the logo shirt in black or we got the character shirt in gray. So just let us know which one you're looking for, how many and what size you're looking for. So we'll make sure to get you a deal. If you're buying multiple shirts, we'll get you.
[01:11:00] We'll definitely get you a deal. They're 20 bucks each or 25. If we got to ship it to you, we'll throw on some stickers. Oh, we got some. Yeah, we got some holographic stickers just waiting for you. Come get some. Yeah. DM us at distance learning on Instagram and we'll get you hooked up with some shorts. Yeah. So let's talk this schedule. No, before that, I want to say on that picture. Do you see anything snow white like in it? Oh God, my beard.
[01:11:34] Go ahead. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, let's talk schedule here. So Mondays we've been we've been back on the game streams. [01:12:01] So that way we can we can get some game streams going. You guys can mess with the AI for the time that we have it because we may be switching over all of our streams over to YouTube. And if we do switch the game streams over to YouTube, the A. I is going away because YouTube doesn't do that. So kind of sucks. But still Tuesdays, the download from six thirty to eight thirty. We have a former playmate coming on the show. Oh, I know where she is going to be on Thursday. But no, that's not. She was a playmate in nineteen eighty three. Nope, I'm good. Charlotte Helm camp, who is she's coming on.
[01:13:00] She's going to be promoting a new book that she has out. She's on the circuit. She's been doing the concert. So her manager reached out to us and was like, we think that she would be a good interview on your show. Like I'm all for that. Let's do it. So she'll be coming on the show on Thursday and we'll be having a good time. This is the first time we're talking to somebody in that world. So we're going to be jumping into that.
[01:13:24] Yeah, because I am kind of interested in kind of like that career and how you how you where you start with things like that, because she was also in a lot of horror movies and stuff, too. Oh, yeah. And she's like a writer and whatnot. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, cool. She's looking her up right now. I am. Don't just. He's just like, I was interested in what else she's done. He's like, I want to see. I want to see how hot she is so I can spank it to her later. No, I was interested. Yeah, I was interested in what else she had done. You're interested in doing you're doing the do to her.

The first episode of season two is currently out. It is on season one of Fray's Jackson and the Olympians on Disney Plus.

It's on. I don't know. Okay. I want not. Okay. Well, I don't know. I am kind of getting snowy up here. So, okay. Anyway. So everything that should do said yes.
[01:15:47] Um, but also I want to say, look, Bruce, it's your Auntie Jen. And I have to tell you this right now, baby, it's time for bed. You need to go to bed. You need to go to bed. Really? You call me with the team. I'm trying to be nice. I'm trying to be a good aunt for Bruce and tell him he, he should go to bed. And we love him. Oh, all right. I'm done. I'm done with all of you now. Shout out to Bruce DeLong. Hold on. Hold on. I'm fixing something here.

Also looking up, uh, looking up the guests to see how hot they are. Yeah, exactly. It's one of the things. Yeah. Uh, should do. We'll give you a hand job for three pennies.
[01:17:42] Well, you know, I never said that. Who is listening? Okay. So, you know, I didn't know that the term unicorn was actually a sex term. Yep. So should do informed me and then I had to look it up. And so I looked it up and now I know what unicorn means. Oh God. And if you want it. And if you want to be enlightened on obscure sex terms, go subscribe to our only film. Yeah. Uh, I had a joke that popped in my head and I was like, shoo, that's just, that's way too racy.
[01:18:12] Uh, so we're going to, it's too much even for us. Uh, ladies and gentlemen, uh, if you would like to say. That's for our, uh, our midnight show. Exactly. After midnight. Oh yeah. Now even better at the feet of Jen, the wicked witch. There we go. There we go. Jen, snow white. It was great girl. Oh, la, la, la. Jen, AKA snow white, AKA the wicked queen. I just think that they're two sides of the same coin.

Uh, and snerting at aol.com and we will read it live on air. So that was it from us. Okay, everybody.
[01:19:37] I think we need to end the show. Thanks and keep nerding together. I'm proud of us. It's not, it's not even like, you know, we got plenty of time. Do the, don't ask me anything. No, that's okay. I'm good. Yeah. It's, it's like, I'm having all these problems. We can talk about your dwarf kinks. Come on.
[01:20:08] That is a thing. That is a thing. Okay. We don't, just because they're small doesn't mean they're small. Oh God. They can be small and mighty. It, um, it, it fears me to see what she does. It's like, it should do like just his search history has got to be riddled with nothing but cum. All right. Let's get it. We're out of here. We're done. Come on, man.
