[00:03:11] I've got a new setup. So my monitor is like high. Right. I've got one monitor right here. I've got one monitor right there because Jackie gave me my my old monitor from when I was working from home. And then my laptop is down here and my cameras right there. So it's like it's all over the place right now. I'm trying to see how well this works. OK, Matrix. Slow down. I know, because if I put my camera up high, like it's looking down at me.
[00:03:37] So it's just it's it's just like a weird kind of thing going on. Right. So, ladies and gentlemen, with that being said, you have now stumbled onto the worst kept secret on the Internet. Ladies and gentlemen, you are now watching distance nerding.
[00:04:07] Part of the Comic Con radio podcast family. Oh, wait, we already did that. Oh, we did. OK, my bad. Well, ladies and gentlemen, let's talk about it this week on deck. We've got the Geek End update. We're blending it up with the weekend blender real soon. As soon as he jumps on. As soon as he jumps on. We're going to blend it up. What we're watching. Yeah, there's plenty of stuff, especially tonight. Not right now. We've talked about it with Disney Plus and Daredevil will not drop on Disney Plus until after our show is over.
[00:04:37] So don't worry, guys. Just stay with us. Stay here. And then don't look at your watch, young Phil. Don't worry about. I didn't realize that was today. I'm like, oh, my God, I got to watch the first episode of Daredevil after this. You'll watch it later. Yeah, no, later. Definitely not now. Starting rumors. Are we getting a James Gunn cut of the Snyder cut? Oh, my. Absolutely. I am all for that. And I will watch that all day. And of course, ending the show with the download. To next year. My X-Man.
[00:05:07] Womp. Womp. Not good news. Not at all. Womp, womp, womp, womp, womp, womp, womp, womp, womp, womp. Makes all of us sad. But of course, ladies and gentlemen, before we get into all of that, this show, or not even the show. God, I'm screwing it all up. Before we get into all that stuff. But first, let me get a shout out. Ladies and gentlemen, the show is brought to you by the good folks over at Debbie. That's right.

Guys, it's really delicious. And I'm still saying the 20%. It's really good. They just came out with two new flavors this week. I know that they're always coming out with new flavors.
[00:06:04] They just dropped tiger blood today. Ooh. Yeah. Really? Yeah. So I don't actually. Fun fact. When it comes to shave ice, tiger blood is the best flavor. Is it? Just throwing it out there. That sounds amazing. Let me pull it up. So introducing tiger blood. And of course the email just decided not to open. So nevermind. I'm not going to, I'm not going to read this. Oh, there it goes. And if it's radioactive tiger blood, you might get power. It's like a tiger or, or like Craven.
[00:06:34] And then you have to wear like a big, a big, like neck thing, neck cowl, cat cowl. It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a lion's mane. Okay. So it is watermelon, strawberry and coconut. Watermelon, strawberry. I'll take that. Yeah. That sounds delicious. I might have to get a, get a bottle of it. Amazon Alexa, add tiger's blood. Ooh. What if you got the wrong thing from Amazon? Cause Amazon has like, it sends you like actual tiger's blood.
[00:07:01] Just a tiger's head in your mailbox. That's sad. Oh, that is, yeah, that is kind of sad. Well, well, ladies and gentlemen, uh, fine distance nerding, uh, and, and, and our second show, a comic conversation on comic-con radio guys were on comic-con radio. Uh, so head over to comic-con radio, uh, comic-con dash radio.com slash podcasts. Uh, and we, uh, we've gotten shows on there. It's not as up to date as it should be, but, uh, it's there ladies and gentlemen, uh, go
[00:07:31] ahead and head out over there and check it out. If you want to hear that second show, comic-con radio is a lot of fun. I'm not, I'm messing myself up. Comic-con conversations is a lot of fun. You know what? We're, we're going to start adding more because it is con season, but also I talked to galaxy from comic-con radio today and he's been out of the country for a bit, but, uh, he's back on, he's back in California. So he's going to start working on some things, uh, along with fandom con, uh, for this coming 2025.
[00:07:59] So lots of fun things about to happen people. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Night of O. Is there a spam flavored W? Sounds delicious. I think it is. I think it's called my sweat. Uh, uh, I need a musubi flavored, uh, uh, Debbie. Yeah, exactly. We're a two can of spam in the morning family nowadays. The kids, kids like the spam, uh, guys, your interview isn't up there yet.
[00:08:28] I'm at that con right now. Um, you know, we're still waiting on some episodes to go up so we can, uh, put more out. Uh, there's a, there's a Deadpool's happy sock flavor coming soon in more than one way. Yeah. Uh, I think that's gross. Yeah, I know. Oh my God. I need a spam and eggs Debbie. You want peanut butter cups in your spam and eggs? Hey, peanut butter cup. Hey, peanut butter cup. Peanut butter cup. Uh, anyway. So guys, uh, yes, that is all the fun right there.
[00:08:58] So let's jump into this. Uh, cause ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the geek in update. Are we going to talk weekend blender? I guess we can talk weekend blender and then hopefully Pete will jump in soon wherever he is. We can blender March 15th and 16th sunrise mall here in Sacramento or more specifically citrus Heights.
[00:09:27] We got too many little towns here in Sacramento. I know this is like a whole bunch of different ones. Just say it's Sacramento. It's sunrise mall. That's fine. It's at the mall. It's free. It's family friendly. There's going to be tons of vendors, a bunch of our friends, cosplay contests. Sandra. I know there's going to be a Tim Burton, um, cosplay meetup. You should really find out one. That is do your job. Sandra, um, cosplay contest, special guests. I hear Cindy Rue is going to be heading that up. Well, yeah. Friends of the show.
[00:09:57] Yes. Yes. That's my next slide. Friends of the show project. Wish upon a star is going to be there all the way from, uh, Fresno and Elf. They're in LA. So good for them. Happy to see them. Kyber cave. Our good friend van will be there. They just had, uh, a DASA on Kyber cave. Right. Rattle this weekend. Uh, they'll be there. Hawk and lightsabers. Uh, the long fam cosplay. Huh? I know them. The name sounds familiar. They're super famous. Oh, they're in the chat. That's what it is. Uh, Cindy Rue cosplay.
[00:10:27] Our good friend, Cindy Rue cosplay will be there. She'll be hosting some of the cause. There's like multiple cosplay contests or something. There's all kinds of stuff going on. Um, and then your boy, your boy, how many H2 is going to be there? I, I, I, uh, I should probably go to his Instagram cause he usually announces what suits he puts on, but he's going to be in something massive. Like he always is. Uh, sack Deadpool said he'll also be there. So we'll be seeing a sack sack Deadpool out there. See, let's add sack Deadpool to our little list here.
[00:10:54] I'm adding as we speak, but, uh, explain how many H2's cosplay. Cause it's very unique. It is. So how many H2, uh, he's, he was on the show a while back. Uh, but how many H2, uh, he, he's a bigger dude. And his whole thing was always like, you know, you can't really do a lot of cosplays as bigger, as a bigger guy. So he was like, I want to create cosplay that a bigger guy can get into. And he started creating mechs. So he started, he like, he he's, uh, you guys are probably seeing them online.
[00:11:24] Uh, he's the guy that does the, uh, R2D2 mech, like the really big R2D2 mech. Um, he also, um, a lot of those, uh, Transformers, like he'll like, uh, when you see the really big Transformers walking around, uh, he does Megatron, he does Optimus Prime. Um, you know, he's, he's, uh, he's the big juggernaut that everybody sees and like, uh, on the internet all the time. Uh, like, yeah, that one's super cool.
[00:11:49] I like that one because there's an MMA fighter with the nickname of juggernaut. And then he has Hummin H2 come to the shows and do his walkout. So he walks out with juggernaut right before him. That's so dope. Yeah. That's so cool. Yeah. And just like, again, we, you know, we've known him for a little while and it's just kind of like all of the play he gets, like, he gets invited to like all the big major cons.
[00:12:14] So like, he's at New York Comic-Con, he's at Dragon Con, he's at L, you know, we see him at LA Comic-Con every now and then, but he's at like San Diego. Like he gets invited to San Diego Comic-Con. Must be nice. Maybe you need to walk on some stilts. Maybe that gets us into the cons. Maybe and like build these massive ass costumes. There you go, man. Come on. You need to, you need to start working on that. I really should, man. I really just start, should start doing it.
[00:12:37] Uh, so ladies and gentlemen, uh, we're talk, we're over here talking about a weekend blender and all the fun stuff with all of our friends and everything that are there. But here to talk about weekend blender and to elaborate on weekend blender, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the show, the proprietor and promoter of the weekend blender series. Cause there's multiple weekend blenders. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the show, Mr. Pete. Pete.
[00:13:07] There you go. What's up, Pete? How are you, sir? How you guys doing? I'm good. How about you guys? We're good. We were just talking about weekend blender. You got perfect timing. So just talk about it. March 15th, 16th here in Sacramento, sunrise mall, technically citrus sites. We were talking about all the cool people, all our friends that are going to be there. You'll be there as well. And I, I love your setup. You always like have this huge, huge, like vendor tables. You got like 10, Funko pops and stuff. So it's so cool.
[00:13:37] But, um, I don't know if, I don't know if we're going to fill 10 this time, but we definitely will have a, a, a booth, you know, we're going to be there as well, set up promoting the time machine, um, promoting the shows that we got coming up, you know, the next couple of weekend blenders in our hometown in April. And then we're back to Tracy and June. And then Omega con is our second. And that's a Madera, which is 20 minutes, uh, north of Fresno coming back from you guys, uh, at the Madera fairgrounds. That's may 10th. So yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm excited to talk about whatever it is you guys want to talk about.
[00:14:07] I'm, I'm good. That's awesome. Yeah. Appreciate you having me. Absolutely. We're super excited. Well, uh, we talked about weekend blender here in Sacramento, the 15th and 16th month. We'll, we'll get back to that and, and more about it, but let's, let's kind of rewind. Let's get into time machine since you said it, uh, and go back to how this all began. Did it begin with your store time machine or did weekend blender come before? So my original business is called diehards with a Z and son.
[00:14:33] Um, basically I had a collectible store in 2007. It took me 10 years to get to that from 97. Uh, we started booking a little events in front of our store in 2007, where we worked with bands and local bands. And we did like little music shows and you know, like a toy drive or a blanket drive food drive for the Pavarillo house, you know, for the needy here in town. Um, the store didn't last long.
[00:14:58] We got broken into, but that was okay because outside of that a year later, diehards music, uh, came out of that, which I started doing a lot of, uh, band promoting and booking in our town. And I got as far as Hollister with a friend I had helping me out at that time. And she got me into that town. Uh, we booked a little bit of reggae. We booked some heavy metal, a lot of heavy metal, a lot of rock, some tribute bands. Uh, we've done some acoustic sets and alternative stuff. Um, we were just promoting and booking man.
[00:15:26] And, uh, after I didn't have the store anymore, I still was trying to get into the event circuit. And, um, in 2000, uh, so that was in 2008 and 2009. I started with our, our hometown Fresno Clovis area, the Clovis mall, uh, which we currently have the time machine at now the last two years. Um, we started building a show here. I'm going to be honest. I was trying to build a show. I just didn't know where it was going to go. So it, it went through three name changes and about four phases.
[00:15:54] And in 2016, it started to get a comic con vibe when I started to bring out cosplayers. Mm-hmm . And I had a couple of that year. And then I started to get, because I sold collectibles, I'd set up a booth as well. And then I started to get more toy comic book vendors without abandoning the original vendors. I had that maybe was like Tupperware women's products, jewelry, you know, handmade goods, crafts. And then we started to add that toy collectible aspect on top of that.
[00:16:21] And it just took off from 2016 to 2025. So it's our 16th year that it's been built, uh, in our hometown. And then the last two over two years, we started working with Tracy first and then Citrus Heights that had the same G general manager who liked what we were doing in tracing. He's like, you need to bring this to Citrus Heights. And I said, okay, I'm in, I'll do it. Um, I'm like, I have no idea I'm going to do it. I don't know. I know a few people out that way, but not very many. And, uh, you know, it was a challenge at first, but I was up for it.
[00:16:49] So, uh, we don't know what the future of Citrus Heights is right now. Um, there could be some changes this year, but we know we're still solid with Tracy and these malls are owned by the same, uh, landlords that are, that are out of state and the mall that I'm in. So that's why I'm in that same mall circuit. Gotcha. Uh, so yeah, so the weekend blender, we, we have our own tag on that. And it says, it's not your typical comic con cause it's just not, it's in the mall atmosphere, but it's not dominated by sports cards, anime, comic books.
[00:17:19] It's not dominated by, by, by one thing, but it's kind of got a mixture of everything for, from grandparents to the kids that are like three years old that know who Spider-Man is. Right. Right. And it's, and it's a free, free event. Yep. That's what's awesome about it. You get to go to the mall and walk around. So this is what I did. This is, this was my hook because I got the wife and I got three kids and I'm like, Oh, let's go to the mall. They're like, Oh, you're going to take a shopping. I'm like, yes, but I'm really going to the weekend blender. Mean, mean you.
[00:17:49] I met up with project wish upon a star. I met, uh, who else was there? Cindy Rue was there. Uh, who was it? Nick, Nick Palma. The, uh, we had Nick Palma. Yeah. The, the, yeah. Michelangelo from a secret of the ooze. He was in part two. Super cool. And he's actually going to be, we just added them to come back. He'll be there with us, uh, next weekend. Nice. So he'll be back. Yeah. Super cool, dude. Super cool, dude. And, uh, who else was there? David Gonzalez from return of the Jedi. He was there too. David's a good guy. Yeah.
[00:18:18] You bring a good mix and you know, who was there? Odin makes was there who usually has a, a huge, huge booth at like sack cons or any con that he goes to. But he had a good sized booth at a weekend blunder as well. So you got a lot of kind of big names in the local kind of con industry coming out. So that's awesome. Oh, that's cool, man. Um, we try to, we try to work with all the really great people that, that want to work with us or give us an opportunity and we can give them an opportunity to have another,
[00:18:47] you know, another gig out there. Um, so we like to work with those people that come back with us in the circuit, whether it be a year later, two years later, three years later. So we try to keep that, that vibe rolling, you know, with those people, but we also try to add, you know, to, to the roster of people that we're working with, um, trying to make those next steps, you know, one at a time, not running to it, but you know, you can't be too careful because if you don't make the moves and they don't happen. So, you know, you kind of just gotta be like, well, we're going to do this. We're going to shoot for this guest. We're going to try to get them.
[00:19:17] Um, Omega cons turning out to be that way where, um, you know, whenever you're ready to talk about that, when we could talk about that one too. Um, yeah, that's a good segue. Why don't we jump into that? Because that one is like the Voltron of like central Valley. Tell me, tell us about that. So what we did with first, it was called diehard con a self-titled con that we did at a veteran's hall that had an outside park. That was huge. And we also had an indoor building. This was done in 2018.
[00:19:46] So that was our first or second move outside of the mall. And then we did some at a brewery called brew con or brew the con, which we've done a couple of breweries here in town, same brewery, but we did it, you know, twice there already. And we're going to look for other avenues to do that as well. I mean, you know, we've got some things that are out there, even out of town, we're working on some things. So there's outside of the weekend blender. What it became is now we can take it anywhere else and build it up to the next level, which
[00:20:13] was diehard con, which almost in a way became Omega con at Omega con is the next move out. We're now, you know, at Matt Omega con on May 10th, uh, this year at Madera fairgrounds, it's an outdoor event, but we will have a building with our celebs in there. And we are able to do like a beer garden, which we're trying to keep it like a star Wars cantina kind of vibe galaxy vibe. Uh, we are able to bring food trucks out that we're able to be able to do those things on our own, which is great by having it there. So it's a great thing to do.
[00:20:43] And then we don't have to charge for parking and we're doing a $10 pre-sale. You can get it online. There'll be a fee charge online, but you can get a $10 ticket there. You can get them from the shop and we'll have another outlet here in Fresno, but online we will call you to the door 15 at the gates 10 and under free, but, uh, we'll have vendors cosplay contests. We, uh, I believe I'm going to be hiring a band. That's going to do some pop culture music. And, uh, we'll see what else we're going to add in there as we're, as we're building here along the way. Cause it's our first one there.
[00:21:10] So, you know, it's going to be a learning experience and we're going to try different things out there, but we just locked in Lou Ferrigno a couple of days ago. The incredible Hulk. So Lou's such a cool guy, man. Lou's a great guy. He's been at our store. Uh, he was at our store January 19th for a couple hours for meet and greet. He did pretty good in a two hour span, but we also met him, um, less than a year, uh, a year ago where we went to an event here in town somewhere else and got some stuff signed by him. Great guy. I mean, I'm a big fan of the incredible Hulk.
[00:21:39] I'm 50 years old. So I grew up. That was one of my first superheroes. One of my heroes. I love the show as a kid next to Christopher Reeve. Superman was my other hero. My wife can't say, my wife can't say Bill Bixby to save her life. Every time she'll be old. She'll be like Bill Bipsky. Yeah. You got to kind of carefully say it cause it can tongue tie you. Uh, we locked in, we locked in Lou Ferrigno and then we got Najee Jeter who was Miles Morales
[00:22:08] from the video game and, and some, uh, Spider-Man animated series as miles as well. So we got him coming down. We got John Morris, the voice of Andy from Toy Story come in. Oh, and they just came out. I believe they came out with an Andy pop. So that's going to be great for collectors. Nice. And then, uh, I believe his name is John St. John. We got to make the flyer and announce him immediately. He was fat, the cat and Omega and Sonic the Hedgehog. And then we have, I think one or one or two more people pending right now that we got
[00:22:37] to double check on. Um, or we may have to make some changes on, but, uh, we're almost just about done with the guests. And like I said, we got vendors, cosplay contests, food, beer garden, food. For 21 and over. Uh, just a fun event. Dude. We got some vehicles coming out, you know, that'll be like in the cosplay theme as well. So a fire, firefly truck. Uh, I think we're going to have our ghostbusters 559 buddies out there. And I have a friend. She's, uh, also working on a couple other, uh, decorated vehicles to bring out.
[00:23:05] So, um, this will be like our launch and our test run at a new venue. So we're only hoping to build it and to make it Omega and keep it to its name as we take one step at a time with it. That's awesome. That's awesome. You know, that area kind of needs it. Wasn't there, there was California Republic comic-con back in the day that was in that like Merced area and then they, they, they, were they moved, they moved, they moved to like. I think it went out of state. Yeah. I went out of state.
[00:23:33] Uh, cause my buddy Darren from project wish upon a star is friends with them and would do that event. So I don't know if they're still doing it, but I know that it was moved, uh, Adam or said, so I never got to make it because of the scheduling. Um, I was hoping one day to catch it as a vendor. I just, I couldn't make some of those, uh, those weekends are hard to get off for me and I juggle around to, to get out there to be a vendor still, but we still, we have the store now. So I'm still out there on the road, uh, as much as I possibly can be.
[00:24:00] But, um, you know, as long as the store's covered and we're good, then I'm, I'm out there promoting, I set up a booth and you know, the main thing is, is get out there and network, get, get some flyers in the hands of the people, try to get them to different events that we put on. Um, you know, meet, meet new vendors, uh, find product out there. And if we can sell anything great, but we use it as a whole, all about around experience when we're out there on the road, just to really get out there, network and promote. Yeah. Yeah. And I think it really helps to be in a mall.
[00:24:28] I remember, uh, five, I think it was five years ago. Now we had a buddy that just moved to, uh, Clovis and he mess. He called us, uh, uh, on a weekend. I was like, Hey guys, you got it. You guys should come down here. This, whatever is going on here at this mall. Weekend blender. Aaron Watson. No, you should check these guys out. I'm like, uh, we know we've already heard about them. You know, Darren from project wish upon a star. Shout out to him has talked them up.
[00:24:54] So, uh, everybody who's done work with you has absolutely loved you, Pete. So kudos to you. And, and, and keep growing. Hope you can keep growing. Absolutely. Thank you, man. I really appreciate that. We, we, we just put our heart into it, dude. I mean, there's, it's a free event to the public. Yeah. Uh, we rent, we rent vendor space out and we, we have to make that. That has to cover everything. You know, it's gotta pay for the flyers. We print thousands and thousands of flyers out and we try to make sure our calendar is updated so that they don't expire right away.
[00:25:22] That they continue to keep promoting once they're in your hand. Um, our current flyers that way. And that's kind of the direction we go with our promoting. Now. Um, we just, we just put our love into it, dude. I mean, I love what I do, dude. I mean, I'm a fan. I'm a collector first, and then I'm a vendor. Then I'm a store owner, and then I'm an event coordinator. And then in there, I, I do have a couple of cosplay things. I just don't have the time to do as much as I want, but I'm a big Wolverine fan. So one day I'm going to have this awesome Wolverine suit that I will wear out there. And I can't wait.
[00:25:51] I got a couple of masks made already. Uh, I got some claws that are being worked on and I know I have a buddy. I know who to go to to get the suit done. And it just kind of keeps getting delayed a little bit, not because of them, but because of me. Um, done it with my, uh, close to pretty much being five Oh first approved. If I get it all that way. Uh, it's right there, but it took me about six years with some help to get that done. And that's done. And then I've done a star Lord, uh, not a lot. Like I said, I just a couple of times and the Wolverine suit, you know, the version that I want to put on.
[00:26:21] Uh, and then do various versions from there. I got the height. I was born the year the comic came out the first appearance, October, 1974. You know, I don't have the muscles that I could buy those and get them on, but you know, I'm working on that. And you gotta do the job, but I'm a, I'm a, yeah, I'm just, I'm a fan dude.
[00:26:36] So, you know, I, I want the whole roundabout experience as a collector, as a fan to hopefully try to bring, you know, those different elements and, and, and getting into the cosplay a little bit more in the future as a, as a dude of my age, you know, which there is no age limit on cosplay, which is awesome. So I can be old man Logan one day without a problem. Right. Because you know, I'm not getting any younger. So I mean, I still walk around as Deadpool. So I mean, like it happens, you know? Yeah. I mean, it's fun, dude.
[00:27:05] And you know what, with all the problems that we can have in life and in the world, dude, it's great for us, us nerds to have an outlet. And when I say, when I say nerds, I mean, I say with honor and pride, dude, because it's an awesome thing to be in this world and have that as an outlet for us to be able to, to go out there with other like minds and, and, and have just a great time out there, dude. Buy things, collect them, smile, have fun.
[00:27:28] I mean, when the music's on out there, but he's dancing, I mean, the kids are smiling when they see the cosplayers dressed up, the kids come out and cosplay, you know, they can win some prizes. I mean, vendors get an opportunity to hopefully make some money to put food on the table. Yeah. The, the, the community gets an event to come out. That's free at the mall to come and enjoy, dude. So we want that roundabout experience.
[00:27:49] And we want to just build from there, no matter where we put the weekend blender and Omega con or dire con brew the con, wherever we put it, like there's always going to be a place to put it. So it's never limited or held hostage by anything anymore. Like now I'm not afraid to find a different spot if it, if it requires that. So, um, I'm all in dude, as long as I can wake up breathing every day to do it, I'm all into it to try to put something fun out there.
[00:28:14] Um, through our eyes, through our niche, um, doing it the way we see it, which is not wrong from the way anybody else sees it and does it like kudos to them, you know, hands up to them. Like everybody can bring something different to the community and to the table. It's not like a competition thing, dude. You're serving the nerd, the nerd community, the geek community. You're serving people and, and, you know, making sure and bringing people together. That's, that's dope. I think that's awesome.
[00:28:41] Uh, I, what I love about shores shows like yours, like I was able to just walk up to Nick Palma and wait like a minute or two as he finished up an autograph and just have a conversation with him. Yeah. Like everybody that you bring has been so nice. Like David Gonzalez, super nice and just hung out and chatted. Like, I think that you don't get to do that at big, huge cons that, you know, are filling up auditoriums that, you know, are trying to make a buck.
[00:29:07] I love how this is about the community, about the kids, about, um, bringing people together. I love it. So I can't wait. We can blender March 16th. You are welcome to come back, promote Omega con the other shows that are coming up down in Clovis or wherever maybe. Uh, but this has been awesome. Awesome. One more thing I want to add is, uh, I am working on, uh, our own podcast. Oh, and it's called Superman shit. So it's coming. It's coming.
[00:29:37] And the first episode, we'll talk about how my dad made some, my dad's very old school. He's like, what are you doing? Are you even making money? What are you doing? You know, you're spending all this time doing this, you know? I mean, he means well, dude. I mean, but I still, I still get yelled at like a five years old and you know, it's okay, dude. He's here. He's still breathing alive and I'll take it. It doesn't bother me. But, um, he gave me a great idea, dude. My dad is very like, he he's a Marine dude. So he's very like everything has its place, you know? Right. And, uh, he doesn't understand the world that I'm in and it's okay, dude.
[00:30:07] But, uh, he gave me a great name for a podcast years ago. And I finally come to terms that that's going to be the name of it. So Superman shit is going to be an extension. We're not selling anything on there. We'll talk about a couple of things where they could find us and the things that we do, but it'll be very minimum. It's going to be a lot of the behind the scenes stuff being an entrepreneur, uh, the people that we've met. People that are doing Superman shit. And I'm on that path to try to, to try to do Superman shit because I have a day job. I have a shop.
[00:30:35] I coordinate my three events plus one or two others, you know, which gives me about six to eight events a year. And I'm a vendor every weekend. I can get away every weekend. Like there's no break and I'm not even mad about it. And I'm the only thing I am mad about is that I'm that, why do I have to sleep? You know, why do I got to go to bed? Why do I got to rest? Because I want to keep going. Your dad will understand this, right? And I'm sure you've heard it. You sleep when you're dead. Exactly. And I've said that to everybody and my nickname is Pete, the diehard. I'm going to die hard, dude. I already know it. You know, um, I'm going hard, dude.
[00:31:05] So Superman shit. We'll talk about a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. The people that I've met, we'll talk about, it'll be a conversation like this natural, organic, uh, not really scripted, you know, but I'll have some topics, maybe things I can look at on my own personal notes to go off of if I lose track. Uh, but it'll be like a Joe Rogan style, meaning that it's just a conversation organic. Um, where, where do we pull inspiration from, um, to do additional stuff from the everyday life that we got to go to.
[00:31:35] Right. So it's going to talk about a lot of just different behind the scenes because to keep doing the stuff that even what you guys are doing, you got to be motivated and, but motivation only lasts for that day. So you got to be disciplined. You got to be driven. You got to put the work in. You got to, you might be tired the next time you do this podcast and be like, shit, we got to get it done. Like, this is what we do. And, um, that's where my mentality is and that's behind the name. And there's just going to be a really, I hope with my tagline, not your typical comic con, not your typical podcast.
[00:32:04] So, you know, we're nice. We're going to, yeah. And I'd love to have you guys back on the reason why I brought it up. It wasn't for a shameless plug, but was to let you know that. But yeah, but I would like to bring you guys back on back in as a guest so we can cross from each other. Absolutely. And that, you know, podcasts are a great thing to listen to. Like when we are maybe doing some work or whether it be doing yard work or maybe you're at home relaxing, you have a moment or you're on a, you're outside exercising or working out.
[00:32:34] It's a cool thing to listen to, to keep us occupied, but the good stuff that you can put in your head, uh, through podcasts like this and the one we're trying to create and the other ones I listened to where, you know, um, yes, it could be a form of entertainment, but also, uh, it's like food for thought. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. So, uh, reaching, reaching through self-minded type of communities and guys like yourself and people like me that are, that are in the things that we do. So I'd love to have you guys on once we get, we're going to start doing some filming, uh, this month, the logo is done.
[00:33:03] We just got to get it, uh, digitally, uh, colored and transferred that way. And I actually have a theme song that we're making and, uh, I have a buddy that's working on that from scratch and we're almost there. So, you know, I'd love to have you guys on once we get that dialed in the next couple of months. Yeah. Yeah. Sounds good. We're totally going to be there. Youngfield's having issues, but whatever you need, you're one of those guys that like you put positive vibes out there and that just like it, same with us. And it just kind of fuels us back and forth.
[00:33:31] So whatever you need, let us know. You want to come on promote? We'll come on promote. If you need a help with the podcast or a guest, we got you. You need somebody to brainstorm with you. We're here for you, but we love what you do. Weekend Blenders are amazing. I've been hearing about you for years. We're here for years. And everybody and even people in the chat are talking you up. So it's awesome, man. We appreciate you. Yeah. Thank you so much, man. I just want to end on one more thing, dude. I appreciate all the cosplayers I have out there. Citrus sites from Cindy Rue, the DeLong family.
[00:34:01] I mean, I'm not going to remember everybody's name right here on the spot, but all those people that are part of my blenders up in the Bay Area. Cindy Rue helped bring a lot of that community together in and you know, I have some great people here in Fresno as well. You know, the Fresno Deadpools and I had some other people in town. And like I said, I'm not going to remember everybody's name, but I got great people that have been a part of this and they give their time as cosplay guests or hosts and all my vendors and my celebs and everybody that's given us the time of day and the fans that come out and
[00:34:30] the people that keep coming back, dude, that it's nothing without them, dude. Like everything that we build, I always say has been built with many hands and I never forget that. And I'm always grateful and appreciative of all those people and the people that have been a part of my team that have came and went and maybe just passed through. Like I got love for all of them, dude. Every one of them, even the ones that are not here anymore. Like everybody has all helped in some way, shape or form, dude. And I'm just grateful, dude. And I'm appreciative that I get to do this and that people are having a good time, dude.
[00:34:58] Thank you guys for the compliments. Like it means a lot, dude. I appreciate it. And we're looking forward to keep going, dude, as long as as long as we can get up and keep going, dude, like we're going to keep doing it. So awesome. Thank you guys for everything. It was a pleasure. I'm honored. Absolutely. Where can we find you? Where can we find more about weekend blender about time machine collectibles? Where can we find out more about those Instagram? So yeah, dude, Instagram or Facebook. We're on time machine. Oh, gee.
[00:35:24] And diehards D that's one word with a Z diehards and son on Facebook or Instagram. You can find us under the weekend blender one, the number one on Instagram, the weekend blender, not your typical comic con on, on Facebook. And, uh, I'm missing a doubt. So mega con 2024, because that's the year it was established. You can find us on Instagram or the event on Facebook, uh, brew the con Instagram or Facebook. And then, um, if you want to look up my personal page, I'm under Pete, the diehard.
[00:35:54] Um, I usually keep my personal page private, but if it's somebody that's interested, you know, you can find us, find me on there. And then Superman shit podcast is on Instagram and Facebook. You should be able to find us under Superman shit though. I mean, I spelled shit different, but you know, you'll see it coming up and it says podcast. So we spelled technically, even though I can't get it on the actual social media is that way. Superman shit is spelled Superman. And then, uh, we did a backwards E, but we can't do that on there, but it's Superman
[00:36:21] and the shit would be a dollar sign pound exclamation plus sign. So, you know, we wanted to try to keep it, you know, for not looking like shit, but you know, we were trying to be creative, but social media doesn't let you necessarily do that. But you'll see that the podcast is said, you're saying it's coming out. We'll get Spotify and other platforms, whatever figured out. Like we're, we're working on that. We're going to YouTube it. Uh, I won't stream it live, but we will probably prerecord it. And then we will, uh, have it on audio as well. So I'm excited, man.
[00:36:51] Like I'm excited. So thank you guys for everything, dude. I appreciate it. And, uh, anytime you want me on, I'm in dude. Absolutely. I love it, man. It was a pleasure having you on, man. Thank you guys. Have a great night, man. We'll see you. Thank you so much. Please send me this link so we can share it out as well. Uh, the link that, um, the YouTube link, well, actually I'll send it back to you, but yeah, the YouTube link, uh, that, that takes you to this live right now is the same one that's going to be, uh, when you, when you go to YouTube to find it too. So I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll message it to you. Perfect.
[00:37:21] We'll put it out there for you guys. And I did a quick post before I got on, but I mean, we'd like to send them where to go. Look for you guys. Awesome. Thank you so much. All right. We'll see you guys. Have a great night. Thank you. See you next weekend. All right. Thank you. Bye bye. Such a cool dude. I like me some, I like me some Pete. Absolutely. Uh, so in, in the process of all this, I don't know if you, if you were just like, you know, what the hell just happened right now? Uh, my monitor fell. Oh, that's fun.
[00:37:48] And my, my camera was on top of the monitor and, uh, and my monitor just cracked. Oh, so we're, are we all cracked for you? Is there like a, it was that that's the other thing you guys saw me doing is I was, um, putting my other monitor up and taking the other one down. So, yeah, well, you know, things have monitors are cheap. Come on. You're good. Yeah. No, it's cool. It's, it's, it's only a 500 dollar monitor. You probably needed a new one. No, this was my new one. This is the one that I just got. Well, you know, it's going to make you feel better talking about rumors. That's going to make you feel better.
[00:38:17] Yeah, absolutely. All right. Well, ladies and gentlemen, uh, let's get into these rumors. Oh, wait a minute. No, hold on. It's not rumor time. You wrote, you, you wrote the schedule and there's a whole other segment here, man. Oh, the upcoming. Yeah. Upcoming. Come on. Well, we're, what we're watching. Well, we'll just mention it just cause we, we went over on time with Pete because it was so cool to talk to you, but, uh, upcoming streaming. So we mentioned it earlier. Uh, today is daredevil day. We're born again today.
[00:38:46] We're born again, except the monitor is not born again. No. So today daredevil born again. It's on Disney plus I feel so bad for you. Um, what else? Uh, paradise just had that season finale yesterday. So the whole entire season one, which is amazing is streaming on Hulu right now. I've heard like the twists were really good in this show. It's so good. It's so good. I'm not going to talk about anything about it. I'm just going to let you experience it. And that's what it is. It's one of those like week to week experience shows. It's great.
[00:39:15] It's going to be a great binge. If you haven't started watching it, it'll be one of those that hooks you at every single episode. So go check out paradise Hulu. Uh, the entire thing is, uh, on Hulu and it's renewed for season two. And then I don't know what you're watching, but I'm also watching a Reacher. Uh, I'm definitely watching Reacher man. I'm only on episode four right now, but it's so good. So good. Reacher's so good. Such a good show. Yeah. I'm digging me some Reacher. I can't wait to, I can't wait for the Neely show too. Now she's getting the spinoff.
[00:39:45] And I love that. Like, you know, it's like, we know that we're getting a Neely show, but then Neely shows up in the show. Yeah. That is cool. That is cool. And then, um, I'm not all the way caught up, but invincible. Yep. Are you? I'm loving invincible right now too. Are you caught up on that? I'm not, I'm about two episodes behind, but I mean, it's still really good. I, uh, I don't have it in our stories, but, um, what's his name? The, the main character, uh, the main actor, I should say, Steven Nguyen. Steven Nguyen. Yeah.
[00:40:15] He's got, I think he's going to have 18 different characters, 18 different versions of, of invincible on a future episode. They just announced it like today. Oh, because I mean, they've already been kind of playing with the multiverse stuff. So, I mean, like, yeah, exactly. They started playing with that last season. So like, yeah. So that, that'll be interesting. Yeah. So all those now, all those are on now, right now. That's right. Every single one of these, uh, is, is now currently on. So we are really watching this right now. Yeah.
[00:40:45] Uh, shout outs to triggered wrestling in the chat. What up boys? Hey, yo, Hey, yo, you want to see a bad guy? I'm the bad guy. I wish we had some way to give people that John Cena look from the end of elimination chamber. You know, that's the best meme I've, I've seen. It's like, you know, like a half angry look, but like also not serious. Yeah. It's so funny. It cracks me up. Cracks me up.
[00:41:14] By the way, uh, if you're a wrestling fan, go watch or go follow triggered wrestling. Uh, they're on like every other day, practically. Cause they're covering all the shows and they're live right after the show. So like at right after raw, they're live right after dynamite. They're live right after, you know, smack down. They're live right after the, you know, PLEs they're live and it's a fun chat. There's usually like 15 people in there. We're all, you know, nerding out over wrestling stuff. It's a super fun, super fun chat. It's a lot, but it's worth it guys. Yeah.
[00:41:44] Totally good. Totally good. Shout out to them. All right, ladies and gentlemen, let's get into the next segment here. It is now time to get banned in Belarus because it's time to start some rumors. We're banned in Belarus. We're banned in Belarus. Why does Belarus get that song? Nobody else, everybody else is like, you can have this song.
[00:42:14] Enjoy it. Let's all party together. Belarus. This is our song. We, we own this song. We do not share with you. Well, I mean, cause like we're banned, like Belarus and Russia and North Korea. For some reason, do not like this, this song. Like they're banned. We're banned because the song plays. So, I mean, it's somebody probably pissed off Putin. You're putting me down. You're putting him down. I'm putting him down. It's like Deadpool. James, are you going to AEW tomorrow?
[00:42:43] I am not going to AEW. Why? Because I'm broke. I have three kids that I don't, I don't get to buy tickets. I don't get to, I don't get to go to WrestleMania's like all of our friends, but you know, they always talk about WrestleMania's or, or, or AEW's. I don't get to go to those. I get to watch it on TV. Thanks. Sack Deadpool for blowing my cover. I don't get to go. Young Phil. Are you going? No, I'm not going. I'm also broke and I can't go to shows like that. You got to buy a monitor.
[00:43:11] You don't have money for AEW tickets. You got to buy a new monitor. Sad. Let's, let's, let's, let's not talk about my monitor and let's go to, uh, go to this first rumor here. Okay. Start rumors. How about debunking rumors? James Gunn shared a photo of himself with director Zack Snyder earlier, earlier this week, and it sent fans into a frenzy.
[00:43:36] The internet wasted no time speculating that it must be that Snyder is coming into the DCU. Uh, Gunn stepped in to set the record straight. The DC studios co CEO recently clarified that meeting with Snyder had nothing to do with the business. He said, I was just talking with his act as a friend. So, you know, we were just hanging out and we were like, let's take a picture. We knew full well what we were going to do. He thought it was funny. I thought it was funny. And that's that. I don't know. I don't know.
[00:44:05] No, I kind of believe that. I believe that. Double swerve Snyder, uh, remains focused on his own projects with Netflix, uh, including rebel moon. We'll see. Despite fans holding out hope that he will return to DC. There's no indication. He'll be returning to the franchise tacos on the table is gun messing with us. Is Zack Snyder really cut from the DCU? Uh, my tacos are, are on the table for the fact that both of these dudes are notorious
[00:44:35] trolls. Like they are notorious for messing with people. Right. And I'm sure they're both like, dude, let's take a picture together. People are going to think that I'm, I'm going to make a DC movie. Yeah, that is true. But I mean, they're kind of the, the big guns, so to speak of like the superhero directing world. So, I mean, do something where he's like, Hey, I don't have a, I don't have a project for you just yet. And I know you're busy with all your passion projects like rebel moon, but just keep it in
[00:45:04] the back of your mind. Like maybe there's something for you down the road. It's not right now. We're not going to announce anything. Maybe it's down the road. Right. I think something good. I think, I think it was groundwork for something in the future. And James gun is troll enough to like swerve us and then double swerve us. You know? No, yeah. It's like a double heel turn. I love it. For sure. So let's go ahead and move on to the next rumor here. Is Bernthal punishing us? Huh? What?
[00:45:34] I don't know. Maybe. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Bernthal that John Bernthal is also co-writing the project alongside director, Ronaldo Marcus green, uh, from we own the city. Uh, now on now an Instagram post from Bernthal might have just revealed the Punisher be the inspiration behind this next brutal chapter as the Punisher. Uh, the post featured the cover of the Punisher number 53, a 1991 issue from the final days arc. The arc follows the Kingpin as he sets out to completely break Frank castle.
[00:46:03] He's forced into working for the crime boss before ultimately landing in prison, which is where Frank faces off with his longtime nemesis jigsaw badly wounded and on the run. He's left questioning whether he needs to change in order to survive. You know, that oddly sounded like a synopsis. Rumor synopsis. That's right. Tacos on the table. Are we being punished with this rumor storyline?
[00:46:30] Uh, I think we are because my tacos are on the table. This is Marvel. We're dealing with now. They don't do anything or they don't just let anybody tweet or post or X. What do you call it? X. Uh, you call it mixing blurb. I don't know. Blurbing. You're blurbing. Oh, that's awful. Um, they don't let anybody do anything without purpose or just doing it for no reason. So I think they just dropped a little tease and it doesn't ruin anything. And they're like, just do it. Just go ahead. That's fine.
[00:47:00] Yeah. Just let it go. Drop a cover. That's fine. Yeah, no. Um, I, I, I like the idea of this being the next arc just because it does kind of fall in line with where it seems like they're going with everything. We won't know until after, you know, Daredevil's finished, but I mean, like, you know, um, yeah, I know we, we know Berthal is going to be in Daredevil. We know that, um, Kingpin is basically like running everything. And if he's trying to punish the Punisher based on, you know, like, like a revenge motive
[00:47:30] from what happened in, uh, in the, the Daredevil season three. Right. Uh, and then we already know Jigsaw is kind of in there because we had Jigsaw, you know, he's, he's been kind of back and forth with Jigsaw through the two seasons of Punisher. So, um, yeah, I, I feel like this, this is definitely something that goes down the line, just kind of shows everybody. Hey, we're still in the same universe and we're not going anywhere. I totally agree. Totally agree.
[00:47:56] I think they're going to set up Kingpin as like the Thanos or the big bad of like the street level, you know, Daredevil stuff, which defenders we're going to call the defenders. Yeah, he is. He is the street level Thanos. So it makes sense. Right. All right. Tacos table. We only had two rumors. We only had two rumors. That's right. So, uh, ladies and gentlemen, with all that being said, uh, let's jump into all of the news. Cause we've got a, we've got a good amount of stuff that we need to cover.
[00:48:24] Uh, today, uh, ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the down. Casting couch. Are you going to do a cast? I'm going to do the casting couch. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time. I mean, corral. Oops. It's time to cast some couches. Sorry. Corral. Yeah, I know. Right. Time to corral some casts. Uh, so let's jump right into this and talk about all the casting stuff happening.
[00:48:54] Uh, so guys, the boys are back together on the boys. I know everybody's all excited for this. Supernatural is Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have officially been cast in the prime videos, fifth and final season of the boys. Uh, they're going to have a guest appearance on the series. Uh, the roles have not been revealed, but Padalecki and Collins are also being reunited with Jensen Ackles. Uh, and it's basically a supernatural, uh, reunion within the season, the third season of the boys. Uh, and then Daveed Diggs is also coming on the show, which is a fun news.
[00:49:24] Just to be Diggs is a great actor. Uh, we already have, uh, Jensen Ackles in the boys. Uh, so it's going to be interesting to see what they do with Jared Padalecki and, um, and Misha Collins. Um, you know, just bringing that whole cast together. Uh, so that's, that's a fun thing. Uh, moving on to some DC, uh, news rumors and everything going on over there. Uh, Clefakis, Rumario, Reveglio. Come on, Harry. You played the Harry Potter game. Give it one more chance.
[00:49:53] Clefakis, Rumario, Reveglio. Okay. Uh, James Gunn is once again, clearing the air on DC casting rumors. Uh, so it was reported recently that everybody thought that Daniel Radcliffe was being considered for role, for, for, for Clayface, uh, in the upcoming DC, uh, EU, the DCU. It's not a DCEU anymore. DCU. Uh, but Quint Gunn basically shut it down, confirming that no casting has even begun on, uh, Clayface.
[00:50:18] Uh, now we do know the voice of Clayface so far in the DCU because it was official for, um, for, um. Um, creature commandos, creature commandos, uh, is that, uh, the voice of Clayface was none other than the amazingly talented and just, you know, the guy plays everything. Uh, why did I just forget his name? Um, I always forget his, his name specifically. And it's such an easy name. Uh, hold on.
[00:50:47] Fucking Steve, the pirate. The character that. Alan Tudyk. Alan Tudyk. So Alan Tudyk is playing the, is doing the voice of Clayface in, in creature commandos. So it'd be interesting to see if they just have Alan Tudyk just play Clayface in, in live action. Right. Uh, I mean, considering, considering, I mean, you know, for the most part, we're probably going to see more, uh, Clayface as a giant clay monster than, you know, him as an actor. Um, yeah. Yeah. Which I think doesn't Alan Tudyk play him in, in what's called too?
[00:51:17] In Harley Quinn. I was, I was just thinking that I'm like, does he do it in Harley Quinn? Because in creature commandos, he does GI robot. He also does. Uh, no, he doesn't do GI robot. He does. Um, uh, Dr. Phosphorus. Oh, my bad. Yeah. That's who was in my face or in my brain, but yeah. On, um, that's in everybody's brain. On Harley Quinn. Yeah. That's the guy that's in everybody's brain. Nazis. Um, gun plays, uh, uh, plays GI robot.
[00:51:45] So yeah, the, the, the Clayface movies got a date already. It's supposed to be coming out September 11th, 2026. We'll see what, what happens with that. Um, as far as Daniel Radcliffe, I mean, that could be fun. I've heard, I've heard him do an American accent and, uh, and do well, but I want to see him be like an kind of like an over the top character, you know? Yeah. But I, I mean, it'll, it'll be interesting because this is a horror movie. Yeah. Like straight up, this is going to be horror. So I don't. Well, Radcliffe has done horror. He's done. That's true.
[00:52:14] So, I mean like, you know, he's, he stepped outside his box hard when he got out of Harry Potter. So yeah. Uh, which is good. I mean, you kind of want him to, uh, to, to spread out like that and, and, and open up the range. So speaking of hard, I mean, there were horses involved. It was, it was a weird time. Harry Potter. Uh, now the last, uh, little rumor kind of thing I've got going on. Zoinks! The jig is up Kingpin!
[00:52:39] Uh, Matthew Lillard of Scooby Doo and Scream and, uh, SLC punk fame, uh, stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he officially joins the cast of Daredevil Born Again 2. So that is official. We know that Matthew Lillard's coming in. It's going to be an interesting, uh, it's going to be interesting to see who he plays, whether he is just a kind of like side or made up character, or if he's a character from the comic books, you know, and that Matthew Lillard's kind of a comic book nerd. So, I mean, I'd like to see, I'm sure he'd want to play something that wasn't just like
[00:53:08] a throwaway character. He's kind of making a resurgence. He didn't, they announce him for the next screen movie somehow. Yeah. So he is coming back in the next screen movie. Yeah. Good for him. Good for him. So that's, yeah, we may find out tonight what he's in or who he's playing. It's true. It's true. Uh, I mean, a lot of times Disney will do those announcements like prior to the first episode because it's like, oh yeah, Matthew Lillard is going to be in the first episode. We should probably, you know? Um, but yeah, so that is it for casting rumors.
[00:53:38] Uh, so let's go ahead and move on here. Uh, we're going to get into some sad news. Uh, just, we kind of bunch up all the news, but we have had a lot, a lot of sad news this week. So ladies and gentlemen, please, uh, give a moment of silence because we are going to do some in, in memoriam. Okay. All right. And Siri decides to talk. All right. So let's, uh, all right. Some sad news. Uh, Roberto Bob Orchi, the writer and producer behind the biggest sci-fi and action hits of
[00:54:08] the last two decades has passed away at 51. Oh my gosh. Uh, orchi co-wrote and produced the 2009 star Trek reboot and the sequels transformers transformers, transformers revenge. Uh, his filmography also includes mission impossible three legend of Zorro. Uh, now you see me eagle eye the proposal, the mummy, the amazing spider-man. So many shows. Oh, so, so sad. You want to get on camera and show them? No. Okay.
[00:54:39] No, she's, I got a little, uh, she, I got a little, uh, she, I got a little, uh, performance over here. As far as his TV credits go. He co-created fringe sleepy hollow, uh, produced Hawaii five. Oh, and worked on alias and scorpion. Oh my gosh. Uh, orchi died in his Los Angeles home February 25th after a battle with kidney disease. So sad. His resume is so big. So big. So big. That's so sad. Work on so many different things, man. It's crazy.
[00:55:08] Like, you know, the amount of work that he, he went into what like love him or hate him, love the work he did or hate the work he did. He worked on a lot of massive franchises, you know? So it's like, it's sad to hear someone so young going. Uh, and I mean, you know, it's, it's, it's only going to get worse with the next story, but I mean like, you know, I know. Speaking of young, we got more sad news. Actress, Michelle Trachtenberg passed away at the age of 39.
[00:55:33] Best known for roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Harriet, the spy, ice princess and gossip girl Trachtenberg had a strong, strong career. According to NYPD officers responded to a 9-1-1 call just after 8 a.m. at a luxury residential tower in midtown Manhattan, where they found Trachtenberg unconscious and unresponsive. Uh, sources also indicate that Trachtenberg had recently undergone a liver transplant, transplant, excuse me.
[00:56:03] Oh my God. Can you imagine if it was like, it was a, an operation that went bad? Yeah. She's just, oh my gosh. He's only 39. So anyway, I got a little bit more on, on her career. Nickelodeon audiences will remember her as Nona on the adventures of Pete and Pete, where she beat or she became a fan favorite. Her career took a major leap in 96, where she starred in Harriet the spy.
[00:56:27] One of Trachtenberg's most popular roles was Don Summers, Buffy's younger sister and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I wonder if she was going to come back for the kind of reboot. Yeah. Uh, she was introduced in the show's fifth season in 2000 and she became a central figure in the show. Oh my gosh. She worked steadily in television and film throughout her career, making guest appearances in house Swedes, NCIS, Los Angeles, Sleepy Hollow. I used to love Sweet Sleepy Hollow.
[00:56:55] Uh, she also found a home in voice work contributing to robot, robot chicken and other animated projects. Um, while her passing is a heartbreaking loss, she leaves behind a legacy of work that has resonated with so many. She's one of those actors, even though she was so young, like we grew up with her, like we watched her. Absolutely. Grow up, you know, Harriet the spy and going on buff. We didn't even mention Euro trip. She's in Euro trip.
[00:57:21] I was just going to mention like, so not only that, like you have all these roles that she played, uh, Euro trip, you know, she, she had a, uh, she's a starring role in Euro trip. And she's like, you know, the, the kind of goofy younger sister that ends up being the hot sister, you know, like in that movie. And like, you know, she, she was just a really good actress, man. She was really good actor.
[00:57:42] Uh, and, and it sucks, you know, somebody who, who having, she had to get a liver transplant and, and you just kind of dying so young from something like that. Uh, you know, kind of just makes you wonder about mortality in general, you know, I mean, you're older than me. I know it's crazy, huh? To think about. Yeah. Also you're getting old. Um, I got one more though. I got one more. Yeah. Uh, strap. God wants you on the floor. Oh, Hoosiers. I love that movie.
[00:58:11] Gene Hackman, a two time Academy Award winner left quite the impression on cinema earning a place alongside Hollywood's greatest talent authorities in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Confirmed that Hackman and Arakawa were, which is his wife were found deceased in their home. While no cause of death has been determined. Authorities have ruled out immediate foul play. Oh, so sad. Um, Hackman's acting career spanned decades.
[00:58:38] He broke out in 67's Bonnie and Clyde. He played Clyde. Oh my gosh. Earning him an Oscar nomination. Uh, a fan favorite role was Jimmy Popeye Doyle in the French connection. Yeah. Which won him his first Academy Award for best actor. Um, Hackman brought something special to every role he took. Whether it was a paranoid surveillance expert in William, uh, Friedkin's conversation, ruthless sheriff and Clint Eastwood's unforgiven. Oh my God. Unforgiven.
[00:59:08] Yeah. Such a good movie. Another incredible performance, which won him his second Oscar, uh, or the sharp-witted patriarch in Wes Anderson's, the Royal Tannenbaums. And also, you know, we don't forget Hoosiers in that. Is that 90s? That was the 90s, right? I believe so. I think Hoosiers was either late 80s or early 90s. Yeah. It went on. He, he was, uh, co-starred with Meryl Streep in Postcards from the Edge, Tom Cruise, uh, in the firm and Denzel Washington in Crimson Tide. Roll Tide.
[00:59:38] Roll Tide. Such a good movie. But I don't know about you. For me, he was my Lex Luthor. Yeah. That was it. He was our Lex Luthor in the Superman films. Um, that was another favorite. Oh my gosh. I can't like him and Cesar Romero. Yeah. Those were our villains growing up. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. Like that was, that was it. He was also in The Birdcage and Get Shorty, uh, Mississippi Burning. It's a fucking great movie, man. Such a huge, huge career.
[01:00:08] Um, even into his seventies, uh, Hackman remained an onscreen force. He was in films like Enemy of the State and Sam Raimi's Quick and the Dead. He survived by his three children, Christopher, Elizabeth, and Leslie. Gene Hackman was a cinematic force and our thoughts and hearts go out to his family and friends. So sad. Yeah. And he passed away with his wife. Oh my gosh. And it's unclear, kind of like they still don't know what happened.
[01:00:34] Uh, it seems like it may have been a, uh, like a CO leak because they also found their dog dead as well. Mm-hmm. Um, you know, it, it, it's what it seems like to me, but they, they haven't like released anything as far as autopsy report and toxicology. So they don't know exactly what happened. Yeah. So sad. He was amazing. Amazing actor. Yeah, man. They always come in threes, man. They come in threes. Yeah. It's, it's, it's sad, man. Uh, so let's get out of the depressing news and let's jump into, uh, things that are a
[01:01:03] little bit more uplifting. If you want to call this uplifting, cause not a rumor dinosaurs are about to be real. Y'all, you guys don't understand. Like we're going to get some real dinosaurs here. The bear actress, Ayoid Beery has been hired to write the script and possibly star in the live action Barney movie that has been made by Mattel and A24. God, do we need this? Uh, hold on. Pause. Pause. Pause. You said this is going to be uplifting, a live action Barney movie. I said uplifting, or I guess it might be. Okay.
[01:01:33] All right. The film's plot is being kept under wraps, which again, weird. Uh, in a July, 2023 interview with the New Yorker Mattel exec Kevin McKeon, uh, revealed that the live action Barney would be adult oriented and surrealistic in the vein of films by Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jones. I don't know how to feel about this. We're leaning into the millennial angst of the property rather than fine tuning this for kids.
[01:02:00] The executive said at the time, it's really a play for adults. Not that it's R rated, but I'll focus, I'll focus on some of the trials and tribulations of being 30 something growing up with Barney, just the level of disenchantment within the generation order up one live action Barney movie to the window. That's so crazy. Well, you know, okay. At least they're, they're like honest with themselves. They're like, this isn't going to be for kids.
[01:02:25] This is going to be some kind of connection to anybody who grew up with Barney or watched Barney. It's almost like a, like a joke, like the way Barbie was. Yeah. Right. I mean, I don't know how I feel about it. I really don't know how I feel about this. Well, what, what's interesting to me. I mean, yes, A.O. Etta Berry writing it is interesting, but knowing that it's being produced by a 24. Yeah. That gets me. That makes me, she makes good movies.
[01:02:51] So that makes me intrigued to be like, what is going to happen with this Barney type movie? So I don't know. Okay. Ready? Move it on. Okay. Thanks Barney. Um, trading in spiders for ogres. Ha ha ha. Dreamwork animation has officially announced that Zendaya has joined the cast of Shrek 5, taking on the role of Shrek's daughter. Okay. All right. The news was revealed through the franchise's official X page, giving fans a first look at
[01:03:20] Zendaya's animated ogre character in the teaser. All right. I guess, I guess that's Zendaya as an ogre, right? I guess. The film won the film, the first ever Academy Award for best animated feature and raked it over 488 million worldwide. Oh my gosh. Uh, it's success paved the way for Shrek 2 where Shrek meets, uh, his, her parents,
[01:03:43] uh, Shrek the third, which is the successor Shrek forever after 2010 yada, yada, and all this other stuff together. The four films have grossed more than $2.9 billion. This is a huge franchise. That, that is huge. 2.9 billion. I had no idea. I had no idea. Shrek was that big. Yeah. Uh, plot details, plot details remain under wraps.
[01:04:10] The return of Eddie Murphy as Donk, Donke has also been confirmed. Which we also know that he has donkey dragon kids. So I'm imagining what like those donkey dragon kids as like, you know, like teenagers. Oh, that is true. That is true. That is true. Uh, the film is peeling back the layers like an onion. Onions have layers. Into theaters on December 23rd, 2026. What's funny is the amount of like vitriol the internet is giving it like, Oh my God, they
[01:04:39] destroyed it. And it's like, no, they updated the, the, the, the animation. Like that's all it is. It's just, it's newer, more up to date animation. They look exactly the same. I don't know what people are complaining about. Yeah. I don't understand it either. That'll do donkey. That'll do. That'll do donkey. Don't get it. I'll do the next one. Uh, bears beats and back to the office. Oh yeah. Oscar Nunez is stepping back into the shoes of Oscar Martinez for Peacock's highly anticipated
[01:05:08] followup to the office. While the new mockumentary series, isn't a direct reboot. It takes place in the same universe as the original and Nunez is the first confirmed original cast member to make an appearance though. We won't be, he won't be the central character. He's reported that Nunez's return was planned from the beginning. See, I like this. Yeah. It's, it doesn't feel like just a straight ripoff. At least it's connecting there's connective tissue. So this makes me feel like it's, it's, um, going to be more interesting.
[01:05:38] The series is reportedly titled the paper and it shifts focus from a struggling Midwestern newspaper where a desperate publisher attempts to breathe new life into the publication by enlisting volunteer reporters. Sounds like us when they, people ask us to write stuff. The documentary crew that once chronicled life at Dunder Mifflin is now capturing this newsroom saga, potentially explaining how Oscar Martinez ends up in the mix.
[01:06:04] No date when the office follow up will clock in. All right. Uh, I mean, that makes me a little more, it's just like, like, like I'm, I'm a little more open to it now knowing that it's not like a direct, like, you know, Oh yeah. 20 years later, this is what's happening at Dunder Mifflin. Like, you know, I like that. It's basically the same crew documentary crews documenting another business, but it's in the same universe. So like Oscar Martinez moved and he's like, you know, maybe he's like a, a, a paper vendor
[01:06:34] that like shows up at the newspaper. Right. Like he's doing the accounting for, for the paper company or something. Right. All right. Okay. I'm into it. Be an episode. And it's like, they moved me to Ohio. I'm here now. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Uh, so yeah, no, that's interesting. Uh, so let's, let's jump into this next story. You can't keep a good captain down. Well, was that your, was that your captain Kirk? That's specific. Was that your Shatner? It's my Shatner. I think it took a shot. Try it one more time. Take two. You can keep a good captain down.
[01:07:04] Oh, that's better. It seems like William Shatner might actually be considering returning to the role of Captain Kirk in a future Star Trek project. During a recent appearance at Fan Expo Vancouver, the legendary Star Trek actor shared that a new pitch for Kirk's return has caught his attention and he likes it so much. He's willing to hear it out. He explained, cause that's been a big thing is that, uh, uh, he will not return as Kirk. So, uh, he explained, I have been asked to come back as Kirk so many times.
[01:07:32] If Kirk is going to come back, it has to mean something. It has to be, like, it has to be the show. Uh, but I was so impressed by this writer. So I said, let's talk after I'm done in Vancouver. Uh, so I'm awaiting a pitch to make the show. It would come on Monday or Tuesday. So, I mean, by now he's listened to this pitch at this point. Right. Uh, a few days after his Fan Expo remarks, Shatner took to X to tease the situation further writing. Uh, I've been approached to resurrect Kirk.
[01:08:01] It's all still up in the air. Was it buried under some rocks? Whichever the case, I'm waiting to hear what the folks at Paramount have to say. Uh, so will William Shatner sit in the captain's chair and go back one more time. You can't keep a good captain down. You can't keep a good captain down. We need the cadence of Kirk back.
[01:08:31] 10 minutes later. It does feel a little like it's Trump doing Captain Kirk. It's good. It's good. I invented Star Trek. Okay. The Trek wouldn't exist without me. Elon said he's gonna build me an enterprise. Nice. Okay. All right. Oh, God. All right. All right. All right. Let's go. Let's move on. You I'll do the story, but you do the, uh, you do the, uh, uh, stupid VFX planning hobbits.
[01:09:01] Yes. See, you got that. I like that. That was good. Uh, originally slated for December, 2026 Lord of the Rings. The hunt for Gollum has been pushed back a full year. The delay comes down to extensive planning and visual effects work needed to bring the project to life circus explained at fan expo, Vancouver, 2020 fan expo, Vancouver is where was that? Uh, we are right at the beginning of the writing process.
[01:09:29] We will be prepping later this year. Prep takes a good chunk of time, six or seven months, and then we will be shooting next year. So it's back to it's back into the 2027 December release date. Andy circus confirmed that the film is now eyeing December, 2027. All right. Interesting. I guess hobbits live forever or something. I guess so. Uh, I mean it getting pushed back makes sense.
[01:09:55] The thing is, is, you know, if it's VFX that's causing a problem, uh, then, then I can kind of see them pushing it back. I would prefer that they push it back and make it look good than just, you know, put something out there. That's just, you know, it's, it's not up to snuff and doesn't look good. You know what I mean? Like if you, if you look like you're taking a step back with Gollum, then, then, then why? Yeah. It feels a little odd to, to have it this light in the game, I guess where he's like, Oh, we're just getting to it now.
[01:10:24] Like we're just starting the writing process. Did you announce this like a year ago? What's happening here? Yeah. It's, it's just kind of like weird and everything on that. I mean, they announced this at LA comic con. Didn't they? Did they? I think they did. I want to say that. Not this last one, but the year before, right? We were there. Yeah. Yeah. It was the year before. Yeah. Yeah. Not the one I was at, but the one before that. Yeah. 2023. Yeah. Cause they announced that while we were there. It was kind of a big deal. Oh, okay. I get it. You're a big deal. I understand.
[01:10:54] I am a big deal. We know this. All right. Uh, well let's move on here. Uh, the lasso of truth, the lasso of money. Yeah. You are not having luck with gaming lately. No. Uh, and I'm actually a little upset about this one. So Warner brothers games has shut down monolith productions, player first games and WB game, San Diego. The news confirms the cancellation of monolith highly anticipated wonder woman game, which
[01:11:19] was first announced at the game awards in 2021 monolith productions known for the fear series F E A R, uh, and acclaimed middle earth shadow of more door and shadow of war, which I love those games had been working on wonder woman using its proprietary nemesis system. Unfortunately, monolith wasn't the only casualty player first games, the studio behind multiverses, uh, also shut down despite Warner brothers previous stating that the game would relaunch in 2024 after an extended hiatus.
[01:11:48] Warner brother game, Warner brothers game, San Diego, the support team within the company has also been disbanded. Uh, so Warner brothers games claims it will focus more on its core franchises, including DC game of Thrones, Harry Potter and mortal combat, uh, which doesn't make any sense that they like got rid of monolith and saying, we're going to focus on DC. Let's get rid of this wonder woman game. That looks so fucking dope. I didn't, I didn't realize it. So that's three different companies. Yeah.
[01:12:15] They, they, they X three different companies. They put the, wow, three different gaming. So monolith production player first games and WB game, San Diego. Wow. I didn't realize that, which is dumb because again, monolith created the nemesis system. That's, um, if you remember when I was playing shadow of Mordor and shadow of war, you know, that's the whole system where the whole game just like, you know, everybody just kind of, uh, uh, fights and gangs up on you. Give me one second. That's what it runs on. Oh, that's crazy.
[01:12:45] I really enjoyed that too. The shadows, the shadow of Mordor. I'd like that game. I thought it felt different than the other, other first person games that you were playing. Like I think I was watching the assassins creed one and the, uh, what's the Jedi one Jedi, Jedi order one with Cal cast this. It felt different than that. Watching, uh, shadows of Mordor. It felt more like things were reacting to what you were doing.
[01:13:15] So that sucks. All right. I guess we're getting no wonder woman, no lasso for you. I guess you're going to have to stick to, uh, Indiana Jones's, uh, lasso or whip to get your lasso fix. I mean, we don't kink shame, but, uh, that's fine. Hey, you're, if you like the lassos, that's fine. That's you. Sorry, man. Hey, no worries. We were talking about your, uh, lasso slash whip kink, um, with your video games. So, oh, that's definitely happening in the Indiana Jones game.
[01:13:46] Exactly. But I was saying that, um, I did notice how shadows of Mordor felt different than some of the other games you were playing, like Assassin's Creed and stuff like that. Yeah. It just felt more almost interactive. Like things were reacting to what you were doing. Right. And that's, what's kind of cool about that game. And that's why I was hoping they were going to come out with another one. The other cool thing, uh, I mean like, so next month on the 20th or actually I think
[01:14:11] it's this month on the 20th, um, Assassin's Creed, uh, shadow comes out, which is the, um, the one that takes place in Japan and wait, what era? Uh, I, Yasuke is in it. So I mean, you know, the, the black samurai. Oh, okay. So you actually get to play as Yasuke. Okay. So I think it's, uh, it's, it's early era. Assassin's Creed? Assassin's Creed. I'm looking it up as we speak. 1500s. Yeah. Yeah. So about that.
[01:14:41] Cause like I said, uh, Yasuke is a playable character and he's like full on samurai. Oh, okay. Uh, say Wong just did it. It's the pre-meji, uh, the pre-meji period. Uh, we're talking more the, uh, feudal Japan of 1579 during the Azuchi Momoyama period. Say Wong. So let's be a little bit more specific. It's the final stage of the Sengoku period, please.
[01:15:06] Which actually, I mean, this, this, this would be around the same time that, um, Tsushima is happening. Like the, the ghost of Tsushima game. Um, but one of the, um, one, like, so there's two characters that you're jumping on. Jumping between. One of them is a ninja. The other one is Yasuke and he's the samurai character. Hmm. So it's kinda, it's kinda cool. It's funny cause, uh, it's always funny when you see people who don't know how to pronounce, uh, Japanese names.
[01:15:33] Uh, cause I was, I saw a video earlier today, like, you know how people like in advertising now they'll do like, oh yeah, here's an influencer talking about it. Right. Uh, there was, there was an influencer, uh, going, oh yeah. And you get to play as Yasuke. And it's like, no, no, no. Yasuke. The, the, the U is silent, bro. It's like Asuka, you know, like, yeah, it's not Yasuke. It's Yasuke. Yasuke. Yeah. Asuka is a tough one cause it's definitely not spelled that way. Phonetically.
[01:16:02] It's, it's definitely different, but it's, I mean the same thing. Um, almost any Japanese name. Uh, like if it has a U in it, a lot of, if it's a U S a lot of times the U is silent. Ah, look at you. Yeah. Same thing. Like, so, so like Asuka, same thing with, um, Shinsuke Nakamura. Yeah. Shinsuke is another one. Yeah. Shinsuke's name. There's a U in there and this technically, if you pronounce it like Western, it's, uh, Shinusuke. Ah. Right. But it's Shinsuke Nakamura. Would it be Funake as well?
[01:16:31] Or just Funaki? Uh, I think it's, I think it actually is Funaki because it's the way that the, uh, the U go in the name. Cause I think it's, I think it's the, what, what letter comes, uh, like, like comes before the, the, the, the U. Um, I think the F usually comes before the U when I say things. Oh, gotcha. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like Deadpool, uh, does Shogun take place around the same time or later? No, it's later. Uh, the FX series Shogun takes place in Japan in 1600.
[01:16:59] So right around the same time period, it was the end of the Sengoku period. Yeah. Is what it says. But it's, it's definitely after just because, um, yeah. Yeah. Yasuke did come to Japan as, uh, as a, as a Portuguese slave. So I guess it would be, uh, sometime around the same time. Yeah. A few decades apart, but same, same era, same era. Right, right, right, right. Uh, so let's go ahead and move on here. Oh yeah. This is also mine. I'm actually, uh, definitely want to talk about this one.
[01:17:29] Uh, in brightest day in blackest night, we have the first look at lanterns, but they're not in tights. DC studios has offered the first look at the upcoming series lanterns and it features Kyle Chandler and Aaron, uh, Aaron Pierre as how Jordan and Jon Stewart. Uh, they aren't in their green lantern uniforms, but you can see a green ring on Chandler's finger, uh, which makes it even more excited. So let those who worship evils. Oh no, wait, James, you, you start this one.
[01:17:59] Let those who worship evils might opsis. Beware my power. Green lanterns light synopsis. Synopsis. Let those who worship evils might opsis. Beware my power. Green lanterns light synopsis. Synopsis. The series follows the new recruit Jon Stewart and lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic space cops drawn into a dark earth based mystery as they investigate a murder in America's heartland.
[01:18:28] The release date for lanterns has not yet seen the light of day, but hopefully we get that information soon. Hmm. You know, what's crazy about this is I, again, I was talking about this a while back. Aaron Pierre, uh, his eyes are fucking like mesmerizing and they are gray and green. So like Jon Stewart's eyes are also supposed to be green. So this is like a perfect casting. Oh yeah, that is true. That is true. I really liked him in rebel Ridge. It was so good, dude.
[01:18:55] And why I wouldn't rewatch that or I wouldn't watch that movie. Cause it was on that list of movies I needed to watch. Uh, dude, I, it was not what I was looking for. I was expecting. It was really good. Look at you making a list of things you should watch and following through. That is excellent. Should do. What do you think of that? Oh, she do not watching movies. You better be watching a goddamn movie right now. Should do. I know, right? It better be from the eighties. It better be some old movie. You've never seen that you needs to be on your list.
[01:19:24] So, so I'll say that I'll say this. These are the movies that I still need to watch on that list. Uh, Nosferatu, wicked, my old ass, four 30 movie, gladiator two, alien Romulus, Sonic three, the crow borderlands, hell boy, the crooked man ministry of un gentlemanly warfare, the wild robot. I actually watched this one. So let me take that off the list. Uh, quiet place day one. Uh, wait, did you watch the wild robot? No, uh, inside out two. Oh, okay. Uh, quiet place day one.
[01:19:52] Uh, and then I have a couple of movies that I've added on here that I just need to watch. Uh, the brutalist because a friend of the show, uh, Curtis Corona, like had nothing but good things to say about this movie. Uh, whatever that guy, you got to listen to that guy. I mean, just everything that he talked about, it just seems great. Uh, Oh my God, you Curtis Corona. Oh my God. He's so cool. You know what though? Uh, I will say this. He's in that new, that new movie with, um, who was it?
[01:20:21] Millie Bobby electric state. Yeah. Chris Pratt. He worked on that and it's a Russo brothers movie. So I'm like, God damn it. He said, I gotta like another, I gotta like another Curtis Corona project. Damn it. He said he wasn't too excited about it. He said it was just meh, but I mean like I, I still, I'm still going to watch it just to kind of be like, really? You didn't like that movie. It was pretty good. Or just be like, okay, I understand why you didn't like it. You know, but, uh, moving away from green lantern news. Let's, uh, let's jump into these big stories that we got going on here.
[01:20:50] There we go. The show was almost there. The show was almost there. So rude. Walt Disney animated studios is the show. Is officially stepping away from long form streaming content. One of the casualties is the new Tiana show that was going to be on Disney plus. Ouch. The princess and the frogs beloved character in a new musical adventure is no more.
[01:21:18] So I guess she was getting her own series, but Disney is definitely like, we got to put a, we got to reprise her role. The Hollywood reporter says the show struggled to reach a viable production point due to costs. As a result, Disney pulled the plug on the project. Ouch. But I mean, I think that was writing on the wall.
[01:21:47] Anything that's floundering. Uh, I think Disney is going to cut because they want to put everything in the theaters, but on a positive note, the ball of gumbo is half full. Get it? Positive. Yeah. Half full gumbo. I get, I get the joke. It's good. You, okay. You want me to, you want me to, okay, hold on. Does that make you feel better? Good. Positive. Bowl of gumbo is half full. It's a joke. It's good. Does that make you feel better? I feel a lot better. Thanks.
[01:22:16] Uh, the Tiana series is no longer happening, but the studio is developing a princess and the frog inspired special currently in early development. So maybe they're shifting. Maybe they're saying, Hey, well, let's not do this whole series, but let's do a hour long thing and, and put it out there and see what happens. So going forward, Disney animation is committed to releasing one major theater film per year alongside shorts and special projects.
[01:22:43] So upcoming is Zootopia two will be in theaters November 26th. There's also an unannounced film scheduled for November of 26, 2026 and frozen three will be coming 2027. All right. Okay. Uh, I know their big thing is like, you know, leaning back on projects that they've already known that are, um, that are successful. Um, so basically they don't want to go into new IP, uh, Zootopia two interested in, um, I don't
[01:23:13] know how I feel about frozen three, but I mean like, you know, it's not that I don't like the frozen franchise. I just feel like the way Bob Iger, um, announced it was more around like, okay, well frozen successful, make another frozen rather than, Oh, we have a story for frozen. Let's let's tell this story. And it came naturally. You know what I mean? They're going to ride frozen until the wheels fall off. It's their toy story. It's Disney's toy story, but like, just like how tour story is. Pixar's yeah.
[01:23:39] No, but like I said, like, you know, my, my, my issue with it is not that, Oh yeah, we're getting another frozen. It's more like, I feel like they for they're forcing the frozen because of Bob Iger. And it almost makes you feel like it wasn't like, you know, it wasn't like, Hey, we have a good story for frozen. Let's put it out. I mean, they may have, it's just the way that he announced it feels like it could be, you know, it could be, but that being said, there's something about frozen. It it's timeless. Yeah. So like my kids loved it when it came out, you know, they've grown up, they kind of
[01:24:09] don't care about it anymore anymore, but they loved it. But I know a bunch of friends who their kids that are younger can't get enough of it right now. You know, even though it came out like five years ago or whatever. So one of those timeless IPs. Yeah. They're good movies. Like I'm not sitting here saying like, Oh, I don't want another frozen. It's more like, you know, my whole thing is don't force stories. Kind of what, what Pixar does. Right? Like we're not going to put a story out unless we feel like the story is as good or better than the first one. Right?
[01:24:37] Uh, so I mean, like, I, I, I don't, I don't feel like Bob Iger's attitude is around that. I feel like he's just like, Oh, well, you know, we know these are successful franchise. So make me another movie. Yeah, I agree. But again, two wheels, wheels fall off. They're going to ride that frozen train. Yeah. You know? Okay. I'm going to keep it going here. Yeah. The Tiana show may not be coming to Disney plus, but you know, who's staying Kathleen Kennedy or say Wong. He's probably pissed.
[01:25:06] He's, he's got some takes on princess on the frog and it looks like Kathleen Kennedy is going to be the princess. So Kathleen Kennedy confirms. She is, isn't stepping away from Lucasfilm. Just yet. Kennedy has overseen the sequel trilogy, numerous TV series, including the Mandalorian and various spinoffs this week. It was reported. Kennedy would be retiring in 2025, which at 71 would seem like out of left field. However, a new interview with deadline. Kennedy was quick to shut down the speculation.
[01:25:36] She ain't going nowhere. The truth is I want to just say loud and clear. I am not retiring. I will never retire from movies. I will die making movies. That is the first thing that's important to say. I am not retiring. I bet you, I bet you the whole Kathleen Kennedy, Kennedy retiring thing is just another fucking troll online saying, Oh, Kathleen Kennedy's retiring. And like trying to like put, put it out there because you know, they all hate on her, but
[01:26:05] it's like Kathleen Kennedy is not the problem guys. Like as much as you guys want to make her the problem, she's not the problem. And it's weird. People are making her out to be like Vince McMahon, you know, like leave her alone. She's just making movies. She made the Mandalorian. Relax everybody. We're good. She brought us baby, baby Yoda. Yeah. Relax. It's funny. Like, you know, like, okay. Say Wong's making a comment about can't wait for the day that Kathleen replaces us all with diverse lesbians, which I think is a South Park joke anyways.
[01:26:33] But I mean, the whole thing is like, okay, that you make that joke, but at the same time she put like the most stereotypical manly character on the screen. The Mandalorian is like the most stereotypical 1960s cowboy character. Right. He's a cowboy. He is on a steel horse. He really is on a steel horse because he's wanted. Leave Britney alone. Better laugh. Leave Kathleen alone. Leave Kathy alone.
[01:27:03] Oh, God. Look at Say Wong. Say Wong. Like, oh, he, she brought us Mandalorian. She also brought us Last Jedi. That is true. She brought us Last Jedi, but it's, it's widely known now that Bob Iger's the reason that movie was, was shit. So again, I blame Bob Iger, not Kathleen Kennedy. Yeah. Blame Emperor Palpatine. Don't blame Darth Vader. Okay. Relax. Uh, 100% exactly the sentiment. Exactly. Exactly. But she's not done.
[01:27:32] She's not leaving, but she's giving us some updates. We're going to see, she's not leaving, but she's giving us news. So I got the next slide here. Uh, Sean Levy is developing a new star Wars movie at Lucasfilm with Ryan Gosling stepping into the universe. Kathleen Kennedy recently offered an update. According to, um, Kennedy Levy's film will take place roughly five or six years after the rise of Skywalker. So we'll, it will explore the post Skywalker era.
[01:28:02] Kathleen shared with deadline. She's all over the place. Look at her go. It's all post the first nine. Sean's is a standalone star Wars story. That'll take place post nine, maybe five or six years out. And Mandalorian really stands on its own because there we're dealing with a whole other era in the new Republic. We have developments going in the space as well. So that's the space. We're pretty much focused on right now, because obviously with the Mandalorian, we have a pretty
[01:28:32] good sense of where that's going. And with this, it's all pretty much new characters. Interesting. Yeah. We may bring some of the characters back from the sequel saga, but pretty much new characters. Levy star Wars film could begin shooting as early as this year. I don't know about that. Um, if schedules align, it could mean a potential release of summer 2027. Easy on the dates, easy on the star Wars. Yeah.
[01:28:58] Again, I'm with you on that just because the, the, the, the problem that we do have with, with star Wars and announcements and everything like that is they don't always follow through, right? Like we always have these, Oh, we're announcing this movie. And then a year later it's been scrapped. You know what I mean? So it's like, yeah. Um, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm not putting all my eggs in a basket, especially for how expensive eggs are right now. Uh, they're really big eggs. They're really big eggs.
[01:29:27] You know, I make the best omelets. I make the best omelets. Somebody told me they were even the best omelets. I make the best omelets, best omelets in all of America. My eggs are not from Mexico. Um, my secret ingredient. It's freedom. America. It's I have eggs. They're the biggest eggs. I have the biggest eggs, best eggs. All right. Okay. Okay. Here we go. My eggs are the biggest that there ever was.
[01:29:56] You've never seen eggs bigger than mine. I don't know what's happening. All right. Let's keep it going. Kathleen is going light speed with the news stories. It was previously reported that Simon Kinberg was developing three films, but now Lucas president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that these films will mark the next chapter in the franchise's ongoing legacy. So that's, so there's the Sean Levy one and then these three from Kinberg. So there's four movies coming. Uh, Kennedy told deadline. This is the next iteration.
[01:30:25] The new saga that moves us into the future, making it clear that Kinberg's trilogy is a new saga and the next evolution of star Wars. Things are moving fast on the new trilogy and we might get a clearer picture as soon as June. What? Is that when, um, is that one star Wars celebration? Japan is, uh, it might actually be. Okay. I'll keep going. We'll look that up after, uh, we're absolutely rolling fast and furiously that has gone exceptionally well.
[01:30:54] And he's literally going to script as we speak. We'll see something probably around June. Simon, if you remember, he did some work with us years ago with the animated show, which was a really wonderful collaborative experience. Kim Kinberg played a significant role in developing star Wars rebels. Okay. Kinberg. Now you got me listening and his work there along with his extensive film experience, including the X-Men franchise.
[01:31:22] Lucasfilm obviously believes that he is a strong choice to craft a new era of star Wars. No stories, no story details have been revealed. However, it's clear that whatever Kinberg is working on will be a major pillar of star Wars. Yeah. Like a new trilogy. Okay. Do your thing. Kinberg. It's going to be interesting to see what Simon Kinberg does. I'm, I'm hit or miss with Simon Kinberg. Like there's certain things that are like, okay, this is amazing and wouldn't exist without you. But then there's also the fucking X-Men franchise.
[01:31:49] So it's like, you know, I, I X, the X-Men movies for, for the good and the bad that people have as a X-Men fan, I, they, they just didn't give me what I wanted and they never gave me what I wanted. You know, like there were always, I've always said this, they've always been a tangentially related to X-Men, but not actually X-Men movies. Mm-hmm. Now standalone, right? First two movies are fine. Right. If, if they were just like movies about like, you know, like sci-fi movies about, about mutants
[01:32:18] and stuff. Right. They're, they're good. They're just not X-Men movies. Yeah. I think that's the key though. I think that like you have some preconceived notions, which totally understandable because of the base material of what it should be. Right. But then like he, he had, he also had his hands with star Wars rebels and that was great. Yeah. You know? So that's the whole thing is like, he's hit or miss for me. There are things that I'm like, you know, some of the stuff he's done is amazing. Some of the stuff he's done just kind of like, it's like a slap in the face as, as a nerd.
[01:32:47] But like, I, I'm, I'm, I'm willing to see what it is because you're, he's working in an IP that is a lot more open for creativity. Mm hmm. You can just create whatever the hell you want as long as it's within the guidelines of Star Wars. Right. X-Men is a little more rigid just because there is an entire, you know, history to, to, to, to X-Men that you just said, fuck that. I don't care about that. I'm going to go and do my own thing. You know? All right. Dark Phoenix, relax. Dark Phoenix.
[01:33:17] Dark Phoenix is coming out. You need to slow down. I'm with Curtis Corona on Dark Phoenix is terrible. So, and he worked on that movie. So. Yeah. I don't know. He did. I don't know what his choices are. Okay. It was work. He got paid to do that. All right. I get it. I get it. All right. Let's keep it going. Let's move on. Uh, so ladies and gentlemen, E-Bombay. E-Bombay. E-Bombay. E-Bombay news. Oh no. Yeah. Um, this, this, this, this is another one that kind of like upsets me, but in February
[01:33:45] of 2021, as part of black Panther director, Ryan Coogler's five year overall exclusive television deal with Disney and the Koya spinoff series was reported to be in development at Disney plus and Marvel, but it turns out that series is no longer moving forward. Huh? Brad Winderbaum, Marvel studios, head of streaming television and animation. You need to, it's like shield. You need to fucking tone that down, bro. Uh, confirm that a Koya, the Koya spinoff was no longer in development.
[01:34:13] He stated, I think fans of a Koya are going to be excited to see her come back, but I don't think it's going to be in television show. I can't say where or when, but I think there's a lot to look forward to, uh, which means it got, it got Bob Iger again. They're probably going to make a movie. It got Bob Iger. What's interesting though. You said a five year television deal for Kugler. Right. And they're probably not doing that. Cause, uh, Iger's already said he doesn't want to do TV anymore. Yeah.
[01:34:42] I mean, all they're going to have is eyes of Wakanda. That's it. I guess. Wow. Which doesn't even take place in this era. So like if a Koya is there, she's like young and, uh, and she's like, just like a foot soldier rather than the general of the army. Yeah. Uh, so deny Guerrera, uh, has set to, is set to reprise her role, uh, of a Koya in the upcoming four part animated anthology eyes of Wakanda. Uh, okay. So just said it right there, uh, which is headed to Disney plus in August.
[01:35:10] And hopefully we see her in, uh, see her E bomb back in black pan three as well. Um, okay. So, and again, because where they, at the timeline where they said that eyes of Wakanda takes place, I think she's going to be a lot younger. Yeah. Yeah. Because it's supposed to take place. Uh, you're supposed to see all the older black Panthers. Right. They were, um, they, they talk a lot about like, it takes place in the era, like, um, in T'Chaka timeline. Yeah.
[01:35:37] You know, and like them trying to track down all of the, um, the, the, the rogue, uh, Vibranium, Vibranium that got out. That was stolen. Yeah. Interesting. I just, I didn't realize that he had a five year deal and now there's only one project that's animated and it's only got four episodes. Yeah. They're like, yeah, we don't want to do any more. Uh, we don't do, I want to do more black Panther. And it's like, well, why black Panther is fucking amazing.
[01:36:03] And it's like, that was like, it's probably one of the most successful series within, uh, within Marvel. And it's only two movies. Yeah. Yeah. I can, I can agree with that. I can agree with that. Okay. So, uh, I mean, uh, unless you have any more, uh, comments on this move on. No, I mean, I'm just kind of still baffled that there's a five year deal for what's getting me is it says television deal with cooler. Yeah. So I don't know if he's going to do something else outside of black Panther.
[01:36:32] I mean, technically, yeah, he could do something that's not black Panther related, but I wouldn't mind seeing him do any other property either. Like, you know, like even if it's just like, you know, uh, if they're not like, you know, uh, shoehorning him and saying you can only direct black properties, like let him direct a white character, man. That's fine. I mean that movie with, um, that he's directing with Michael B. Jordan. That one looks really good. Yeah. It looks so good. I am ready for that. 100%. I'm going to look up the name of that one. Cause sinners sinners.
[01:37:02] There you go. Thank you. Yeah. Uh, so moving on to the next story here, just a piss off, uh, our, our, our, our buddy, uh, force to next year. My X-Men because Cyclops is abandoning 2025. Just like he abandons his children. Oh no. Again, remember, and I, and I will continue to say this over and over again. The legacy of summers is child abandonment.
[01:37:32] He's abandoning all of us. I'll say it again. Uh, remember Corsair abandoned all three of his children. Mm hmm. And then Scott abandoned all three of his children, which are Rachel. And then the two versions of Nate that he birthed, right? Birth them. But like, you know, you conceive, uh, and then Nate abandons hope, which is the most egregious of all of them. It's so rude. He, he abandons his daughter, which he named hope.
[01:38:02] Uh, so child abandonment is the legacy of summers, uh, which the only person who gets a, um, who gets a pass on that is Nathan because he didn't mean to abandon his kid. Whereas the rest of them abandoned intentionally abandoned their kids. Yeah. I'm trying to think of a good example, but no. Yeah. I think even a douche bag back in the day. So wasn't he a douche to Polaris and they broke up? Yeah.
[01:38:28] Well, Havoc, Havoc was a, a kind of a, a dick, but I mean like, again, when you don't have a father around to teach you any better, you know, Havoc Cyclops and Vulcan were all just, you know, Vulcan to the point became a villain. So I mean, yeah. Oh my God. And it's not like professor X was a good role model either. Absolutely not. Yeah. Oh my God. These poor dysfunctional. Some mutant kids.
[01:38:54] Summers is, uh, like I said, like Nathan is the only one that gets a pass because cable didn't mean to abandon his daughter. He got stuck in another timeline and couldn't get back. Uh, what happened? Uh, I got stuck in traffic. Why did you miss my soccer game? Uh, got stuck in another time. I'm going to miss a lot of birthdays kid. All right. Fans expected X-Men 97 season two in 2025, as we all did.
[01:39:23] I was expecting it in 2025. Marvel has now confirmed that the followup is coming up in 2026. So they just came to piss us all off. Marvel's head of streaming television and animation. God, you need a low, a shorter name. Uh, Brad Winderbaum broke the news saying season two of X-Men 97 is going to be in 26. We're working on it right now. Season three is also shaping up with what if writer and producer Matthew Chauncey taking over writing duties. Uh, he steps in for original showrunner Bo DiMaio.
[01:39:54] Uh, again, it sucks. Bo DiMaio wrote a perfect first season. Uh, but after everything came out and we kind of like, you know, learned a little more of what was going on. God, as good of a writer as he is, I can't justify the things that he was doing. Yes. I totally get it. Allegedly. Allegedly. Is it me or are they using Winderbaum to be like Feige's like, I don't want to give bad news. I see what happens to Kathleen Kennedy and the backlash she gets. I'm not going to give any bad news.
[01:40:24] Winderbaum. That's all you, you and your long ass title. Right. Uh, well, I don't, I mean, Winderbaum is not giving all bad news because, uh, according to this next story, uh, they're super hype. So we have a wonderful Marvel update. Thanks to Marvel's head of streaming television and animation. Uh, Brad, uh, Winderbaum, Winderbaum told Collider, wonder man is eight episodes. It's a very new flavor for Marvel. It's straight from the minds of Daniel Destin Craig, uh, Cretton. Is this a Destin Daniel Cretton? Did they put that name wrong?
[01:40:53] Or did I say it wrong? That was Daniel Destin, Cretton, Destin Daniel. Oh no, you know what? It is Destin Daniel Cretton. I'm saying it wrong. It's Destin Daniel Cretton. Uh, and, uh, Andrew guest. Honestly, it is one of my favorite things ever. I think it's the best show no one's ever seen. And I'm very excited to see the audience reaction to it. Uh, I think it's a love letter to what we do as filmmakers. It's a love letter to acting as a profession and it's very sincere, very beautiful show. Winterbaum's comments align with the previous reports that the series was developed as a
[01:41:23] superhero satire and a love letter to LA in the industry. We've also heard that producers Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew guest are going for a tone similar to shows like Silicon Valley, Dave and Barry. Dave was so dumb. I was thinking that it's going to have like a she Hulk vibe, but okay. It's probably not going to be that it's good. Cause it sounds like it's going to be more satire than it is anything. Right. Uh, as for the episode run times, Winterbaum says that will be, they will vary. There's a little bit of, uh, of some streaming leeway, uh, in the episodes run time.
[01:41:53] So I think our shorter, shortest episode is 20 something and our longest is like 40 something. Uh, wonder, wonder man is set to hit Disney plus this December. Uh, I'm excited for this just because it's, it's, I'm excited to see wonder man. Um, again, I've seen a little bit of backlash online and it's mostly just, you know, the racist trolls on X that are on Twitter that are, uh, complaining about how they race-bended, uh, uh, wonder man.
[01:42:20] But I mean, I don't care just because the person they race-bended to play him is an amazing actor. Um, yeah, I'm, I'm excited for this one too. Yeah. It feels like it's going to be fresh in the way he's talking about it. He's super excited for it. So it makes me want to watch this show and I don't know anything about wonder man, but it sounds like it's a new chapter of Marvel. So yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like I love Yaya Abdul, Abdul Mateen.
[01:42:48] Uh, he's an amazing actor. Everything he's in, he kills, uh, you know, he got a bigger role. Except Aquaman. He couldn't kill Aquaman. Yeah. I was, I was just going to mention Aquaman. I was going to say his role got expanded in the second movie and for all the flaws that the second movie had, he 100%. He was not acting in the same movie as everybody else. Like he, his, his, uh, the way he, he treated that role was on a higher plane than everybody else.
[01:43:15] Like he was just doing a higher level of acting than everybody else on that film. Yeah. And it shows a hundred percent. Totally. I'm, I'm not, uh, I'm laughing because I just saw Captain America, Brave New World. Oh yeah. And it feels like Harrison Ford is doing that exact thing. Harrison Ford's not in the same movie as everybody else. He's, he's like dunking on fools in like a JV basketball game or something.
[01:43:45] Like he, he carried that movie. I'm like, my wife was even like, what is going on with this movie? Why is it so bad? I'm like, it's not that bad. Is it? I didn't, I didn't feel like it was that bad. It was, it was, it was more average than anything. It wasn't like, it wasn't a bad movie, but it wasn't like, you know, you know, oh my God, everybody needs to go watch this movie. It's so amazing. Like, you know, it was, it's good. It's a, it feels more like filler than it does anything. Yes. And she's like, the only thing that's good is, is Harrison Ford.
[01:44:12] I'm like, oh, I wouldn't, I wouldn't argue that because I did enjoy, uh, Sam and Joaquin's dynamic and the way that their characters roll. Right. Um, you know, I love, I like Sam as Captain America. I love that they brought in another black Captain America and he is kind of the, the pseudo antagonist in, in the movie. Yeah. That was a, that was an interesting, uh, plot point. And see, I, I like that.
[01:44:38] I like how they kind of brought it back to the whole winter soldier sort of vibe thing, but that's based on, it's based on the comic. That is the storyline in the comic books. So it's like, you know, um, the, the only problem with what they did is they needed to expand way more on that story because there's, there's so much more that happens in that story in the comics, uh, than what they put in the movie. Uh, and it's so much more of an interesting story, but it's like, okay, well they put elements of it in this movie in order to move the plot on it.
[01:45:05] Um, again, it felt more like a bridge, uh, than it did like a full on movie for itself. Like that could have been Falcon and the winter soldier. That could have been like, uh, you know, it's own just TV show. Yeah. I, I agree with you that, that it felt like a bridge. Like if that, if that ended up being some kind of Disney plus show, you know, like this is the continuation of Falcon and winter soldier.
[01:45:27] I would have been completely okay, but I do enjoy that whole, uh, long form storytelling instead of a shoehorning, a two hour movie, two and a half hour movie, give it, you know, eight 40 minute episodes. And let it play out and see what happens. Um, but yeah. Yeah. Oh, look, sorry. Sorry. Sack Deadpool. I had to mute because I haven't seen brave new world yet. Okay. We're done talking to brave new world, right? Is that anything else on wonder man? Nope. Uh, no, that's it.
[01:45:57] That's, that's where we're going to leave this year. Uh, so, well, you know, I didn't buy, I didn't buy a brave new world, Captain America popcorn bucket, but you know what I could buy. What could you buy? You could buy merch people. Cause we got merch people. We got the merchy merch people. All you gotta do is DM us at distance learning on Instagram. Tell us what you're looking for. We got two different shirts for you.
[01:46:23] We've got the black shirt logo shirt, or we got the gray shirt where the characters, I'm not saying it's, it's Deadpool. It's more, it's our unipool shirt, you know? Yeah. It's unipool. That's just, yeah. It's, you know, it's the unipool shirt, you know? So we've got the black logo or the gray character shirt. They're 20 bucks, 20 bucks, right? 20 bucks. That's nothing. Yeah. Not bad at all. We're 25. If we've got to ship it to you, we're going to bring them out to the cons. So we're almost at con season weekend blender. We'll bring in a weekend blender. Absolutely. So if you need some shirts, come get you. You got to get those guns out.
[01:46:53] The sun's almost out here in Sacramento. You gotta, you gotta show them what's up. Show everybody and rock the distance nerdy shirt. And you want me to pull them out guys? It's just. Pull them out, pull them out. You buy a shirt. We got stickers for you. We got brand new stickers in. We got a bunch of different holograms. Okay. All right. The shoulders are looking a little defined there. What's going on there guy? They're definitely not. They're not as defined as they should be. Is that? All right. Okay. Easy. I need to work out more.
[01:47:22] The screen is already cracked and now it's steaming up. Just put them away. Put them away. But they're 20 bucks. If we got a, if you, if you're local 25, if we've got to ship it to you again, I'm going to be at the cons going to be a weekend blender. Yeah. $40. If you're coming out 40, if you're in Florida, the price keeps going up every, every year or every episode. Yeah. No, it's just cause Florida is that bad. Uh, Florida man, just because we have to find a way to get it past all the alligators. Exactly.
[01:47:52] Uh, the long, the longs are asking you how much for that sexy hat you're going to sell your hat. Uh, I mean, if you want a sweaty, I guess fans of the show would want a Philippe sweat hat. Hey, you gotta, you gotta, uh, you gotta monitor to buy. So you gotta start hawking some, some hats, some old sweaty shirts. You're not wrong. Um, ladies and gentlemen. But, but sorry, sorry. Um, we were talking to Eric, good friend, Eric Ruiz.
[01:48:18] We're talking about potentially new hats, something to keep your head warm. So no promises quite yet, but we're talking with Eric or kind of some stuff about new, about new headgear. There you go. Yeah. Some new kind of new headgear. Ooh, say Wong has a good idea. Start the go fund me. We've actually been thinking about, uh, about starting a patron. What you guys got to let us know, you know, would you, would you guys support a patron? If we did a patron? I like the idea of a patron.
[01:48:46] I mean, let us know in the, in the chat, let us know on, on Instagram, if you're down with a patron, you know, something small, just so we can do fun things like, uh, like the, uh, watch along parties you were talking about with graveyard. Oh, which we're doing another one this Friday. So if you guys are interested, we're going to be watching, um, um, uh, Scar. I was gonna say Scarlet Witch. God damn it. That's not Scarlet Witch. Black Widow. Black Widow. Jesus. I don't know why I kept thinking red. I mean, cause her hair's red. Uh, Black Widow.
[01:49:16] We're going to be watching the Black Widow movie, uh, just because the majority of the characters that are introduced in, um, Thunderbolts are introduced in that movie. Awesome. That'll be fun. Yeah. And if you're interested, DM us, right? If you, if you want to watch along or follow us on discord. And so just make sure you're part of the discord, uh, or you're following the, uh, Facebook, um, the Facebook messenger group, cause we're going to be putting everything in there. Uh, also the IG, uh, uh, group too.
[01:49:42] So like if you're a part of any of our mass groups, like all of our big chats, uh, we're going to be throwing announcements in all those. So then that way, you know, if you guys want to go and watch that, click on the link. Uh, now again, it works best on a, uh, on a computer using Chrome. Uh, you can use it on Android phones apparently as well. All right. I like it. I like it. So that was Friday. What else we got going on? Uh, let's talk schedule, man. Uh, so Tuesdays, the download from six 30 to eight 30, the show you're watching right
[01:50:12] now, uh, Thursdays and Fridays. Fridays. We do the build 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursdays, 6 PM to 7 PM on Fridays. Uh, actually I want to throw something out there. This Friday is our last Friday show. Uh, we're going to be going back to, uh, the, the, the build only on Thursdays. Uh, but Fridays, we're going to be turning into, uh, the distance during the social hour. Uh, so Friday will be our last cause it was the last scheduled interview that we had, uh, was for this Friday.
[01:50:41] Uh, moving forward, uh, we're going to be using Fridays for again, the watch along streams. Uh, we're going to be using, uh, using them for like events like we can do. I think, I believe sometime this month, we're going to be doing a distance nerd pretty all over again. Um, so, uh, or distance jet nerdy, sorry, nerd pretty is another podcast, uh, distance jet nerdy. Uh, and, uh, and things like, you know, uh, well, really like we just did a week ago where,
[01:51:09] uh, friend of the show, um, friend of the show, uh, Matthew Aguilar came on the show. So, um, I'm tired and I, and I, and I'm stressed about my monitor. So, um, but Matthew Aguilar came on the show, uh, and, uh, and had a whole bunch of fun. Uh, and, and it's been great. So, uh, we're going to be doing more things like that on Fridays guys. So just be on the lookout and come and hang out with us.
[01:51:36] Uh, yes, tomorrow, uh, at six o'clock, uh, make sure you head over to the long family cosplay, uh, YouTube. Uh, they're going to be doing a, uh, a build stream there themselves, uh, where they're building costumes and repairing costumes and getting ready for cons and everything like that. Uh, they are makers and they're doing stuff like that. Uh, and then of course at seven o'clock, uh, tune into, uh, the pot out at night, YouTube
[01:52:03] and graveyard is going to be having a new episode of conversations in the void. So, uh, support all of our, all of our friends, everybody that, that is a immediate part of distance nerding. We throw that back out to them. Uh, of course, hang out with our friends at geek saga comics podcast, triggered wrestling who were just in the chat a little while ago. Uh, follow all of them guys. And if you're not already subscribing on YouTube, make sure you subscribe guys. Do it, do it. So you have any plugables? Uh, I don't have any plugables. Uh, you know what you need to do?
[01:52:32] You need to get that Amazon page up that Amazon wishlist and add a goddamn monitor. That let's, oh man. Oh, that's funny. I mean, not funny. I feel bad. It's bad. Well, ladies and gentlemen, uh, if you would like to support the show all the best way to do that, obviously is to subscribe on YouTube if you're not already subscribing, but head over to distance nerding.com. Uh, go all the way to the top of the screen right there. You'll see a big blue button. This is by satago.
[01:53:01] So that's right. Ladies and gentlemen, you can buy us a taco. You can buy us a taco. Join the taco party. Uh, you can join the taco party. Uh, and that is the best way to support us guys. We're trying to do more shows. We want to go out there and do more things like going to weekend blender and, uh, hanging out at more events, uh, to see all of you guys out there. But I also want to give away prizes. Uh, now speaking of prizes, remember we've got a big thing going right now, guys, if we can get the 400 subscribers on YouTube, I'm going to be given, we're, we're going to do
[01:53:31] just like a whole giveaway party. So basically what we're going to do is do a subscriber only stream. Uh, we're going to give away like Funko pops and, and Lego kits and fun things like that. So, uh, guys help us get to 400 followers, subscribers, uh, so we can give stuff away because I, uh, I'm not afraid to buy your affection. I am not afraid to let Philippe buy your affection. Oh, that's good. That's good. Have something you want to discuss.
